  1. Good strategy beating that Mega Gengar. Cain's Nidoking is pure evil, but at least you only have 2 more fights against it.
  2. Make it hidden somewhere post Luna like the Beldum or Yuyeru key events.
  3. Huh. I don't recall ever seeing this. Usually Anna just comments that setting a field on fire is kind of cheating.
  4. Clair seems determined to mess you up in that fight. Good work not using Kai to thrash Shelly.
  5. I agree Radomous is a solid team. However, I think a Discharge/EQ combo will still annihilate his team, but there's not much you could do about that other than putting an Exeggutor on the team (which would be great in a trick room environment) in place of Malamar or Slowking.
  6. Corey is always a thorn in my side in any reborn run. At this point your only Psychics are Meowstic, Munna, and a Drowzee if you're lucky enough. Your only ground options are Diggersby Dig (requires going to 37, over the cap), or Torterra (get shrekd) or Marshtomp (death sentence in first 2 gyms). You could also fight poison with poison, but I don't think there's any poison pokes with moves affected by the field. Ultimately it's just hitting him hard, surviving poison or poison entry, and having something take care of the Crobat.
  7. Jesus, you people are evil. You're making this poor bastard use a 59/70/55 against a super effective bug gym. Have some heart for realz yo. I'm sticking with Graveller for Shelly, and Gothorita for Kiki (although you'll still die).
  8. Sounds like you're at the end of E14. And yet the run is still on Kiki, which I think is E5? You've got a lot of catching up to do.
  9. That mega on Noel is awkward, but it fits well with his team. Sawbuck is dangerous if you can't check it. I would suggest dropping it for Pyroar so Noel can take advantage of a fire field. Another option is Stoutland, which should be able to survive better than Sawsbuck. For sure the keepers of the team are Flincchino, Pory Z, Clefable, and a mega, leaving Sawsbuck and Staraptor replacable. As for the non-dragon typing, I didn't even know it was part dragon. I figured it was just a supped up Sceptile. Had I known, I would have thought twice when Woe fought it on route 1.
  10. I found all gyms were beatable within 5 levels of the level cap, so 15 for Julia, 20 for Florina, 30 for Corey/Shelly, etc. During my hardcore run I fell in love with Sudowoodo. When you need a gimmick pokemon, that thing is great to have due to Sturdy. It's also viable as a normal team member, unlike other gimmicks like Prankster Murkrow.
  11. You can grind on pokemon in the alleyways in Peridot. The first 3 gyms are really rough in terms of leveling, after that is smooth sailing since you get a repeatable trainer in the grand hall.
  12. Make sure you don't have a magma armour/flame body on your team, as that makes the egg count change by 4 instead of 2.
  13. There is a lady in Onyx ward (south part of the ward, inbetween the arcade and move relearner) who tells you to go check out the day care couple. When you do free them, go back to her, she thanks you and gives you an egg. The egg is either Cacnea or Seel, but it's irrelevant. I think that may be what triggers ditto in the cage.
  14. You don't need to wait until night anymore apparently. Ame stated recently in a previous post that the nighttime thing is purely for dramatic effect. Anyways, make sure Archer tells you to go attack the Magma base. It may take a few chats until he prompts you.
  15. Meowstic and Gothelle pretty much swept the gym for me. Drapion was the only issue. For your team, you could probably use Charizard to kill Drapion without much difficulty. If you have a male Meowstic, have it use Prankster Light Screen (make sure it has a light clay as its held item). This will protect your team from a lot of damage for 8 turns, plenty of time to defeat Aya.
  16. Maybe you didn't free the Day Care people, or collect the mystery egg from the lady who set you on the quest to begin with?
  17. Or Sturdy Onix. Does the same thing.
  18. How the hell did you color that Garchomp? That thing looks badass. I'm also surprised you didn't point out that Amaria's boat wouldn't make it across the lake. Also, rage is love. So maybe you've always had 2 emotions.
  19. Well considering the run is over, no one. Hardcore is undergoing a major overhaul, so I would likely just do a new run. If I had to choose for this run, I would go with Sneasel (which would be nicknamed Harrow), and dump Malice for Bisharp (which would be nicknamed Death).
  20. I had to vote Julia because I didn't get a chance to fight the revamped other versions. Blissey should not be here. El is sure to have Blissey as it is the most incredible tank known to walk the pokearth. I like that you beat Serra while her field was still up. Abusing Mirror Coat to boost your own evasiveness was also genius.
  21. Bravo. That was a very strategic (and quite lucky) fight. Dragalage is definitely the hardest to fight in that battle, but you managed to clear it out with a few shenanigans.
  22. I'm hazarding a guess that Scrafty was moved because of my run. Sorry Redo =( You could also try Flaffy with Electric Terrain for Corey. Easy field swap. As for Shelly (damn that gang quest not being available), how about Graveller.
  23. The AI also has the same problem on factory field, when water moves become electric. It's unable to recognize the change of type due to field effects. I believe that issue is getting resolved next episode.
