You could always resort to using the Mining Kit (after 3rd Gym) or find a Solrock in Amethyst Cave (need Surf). Are you trying to get a Heliolisk?

Oh sowz, I am doing a special run I set up. I am playing a delibird, farfetch'd, magcargo (all three not yet avail), sunflora, qwilfish, electrode, mightyena and ledian on intense mode. I made it all the way to the third gym and have a lv. 41 and lv. 21 pickup monkey while I field the palace garden, but cant get past the heliolisk before my qwilfish can revenge sweep. If trading was possible, I could take the magcargo early and rock that ass, but otherwise I am stuck farming the palace ga...

Well Electabuzz and Magmar be more accurate since they were counterparts in the oringals and have always been availble on the opposite version etc..

hmm, well visit the really cool places like singapore, jakarta, and bankok. Thailand is a pretty cool place to visit aswell.
