  1. More realistically, Jan tried to update this thread to say 100 percent and provide us all with the latest download but the domain owner is a fan and is stuck on Angie still so he prevented it. Espionage is very common in the Pokemon fan game world.
  2. That's great man, glad to have heard back. Keep going at whichever pace you like. Its all about having fun and sharing that fun with others!
  3. Sweet, checking out other fan games as we wait for the next episode of Reborn and was pretty pleased when I started playing this one. Started recording as well as there didn't seem to be anyone else doing it. Anything I should know that isn't obvious from just playing the game? What's your time frame been like for development for this as well? Just doing it casually as you feel fit or has it been a whole years work thus far with minimal down time? Would you estimate the next installment to be another bunch of months? Either way, looking forward to checking out whats available atm. Seems pretty fun. Especially liking the more open world feeling that comes with not being routed through specific gyms.
  4. Hearthstone is awesome. I just wish the pve stuff was equatable to how Pokemon is, especially in Reborn and Rejuv. I love creating teams that make a 100 percent win condition, and I love doing it in Hearthstone as well, but there are VERY few that it can be done on. Just too much RNG
  5. We started our playthrough with nuzlocked rules as well, and its just not possible. The game isn't mean to be played without a single causality. You should play each gym by simply looking to win a 1v1 trade not go 6-0. I'd be REALLY impressed if some one was able to legitimately complete one. The later gyms, even with a pure 1v1 counter for each pokemon, still contain RNG elements that make it next to impossible to create 100 percent win conditions.
  6. They look amazing. I am a huge proponent for more options within a video game, and I certainly appreciate the multiple race and alignment preferences. I hope I don't come off as hateful with this question, but I was wondering what spurred on the non-binary implementations in this and Reborn? Was there a group of individuals who requested this, or one main figure who was working on the game? Or perhaps some other social interests to incorporate the idea? I only ask because prior to Reborn's implementation I didn't actually know what a "non-binary" individual was. I actually had to google it!
  7. I'd put my hat in the ring saying that I hope there is either a place or a way to get the EV items like Carbos in this game. I grew dependent on them in Reborn, and its really tough leveling 6 pokemon for counter teams on Intense AND maxing certain stats.
  8. I tried flipping the monitor on the side while he was evolving, confirmed doesn't work. I'll try again with my Laptop this weekend.
  9. Ya as has been said a lot here, this game is best played with a versatile team in mine. I admire people who built hyper competitive teams that can take on any challenge and expect victory, but I personally love the mix and matching that a game of this difficulty can allow.
  10. Oh wow, I wasn't aware of this. Thanks for the heads up.
  11. Thanks for the warm welcome. Exactly what I imaged the community to be! Thanks for urging me on BBD! Happy to be here and well received.
  12. Hey guys, my name is Metro and I'm pleased to count myself a member of this amazing community. There may be a few of you who have at least heard of me before, as myself and a good friend of mine have been playing and recording Pokemon Reborn since 2013. Until last year, I assumed the game's community was the same as most - people interested in a game coming together to discuss it. But when we interviewed Amethyst we came to realize that things were much more personal and deep-rooted. I always felt like I would be an outside looking in on the bonds most of you guys have already made, but after falling in love with Rejuvenation as much as I had with Reborn I decided to finally make an account here and become an active participant. Thanks for all the great memories so far, and looking forward to getting to know a lot more of you from here on!
  13. Ya I'll be the first to admit it. Dark Rising introduced me to a more "difficult" pokemon game, but I had no idea how fun the 6v6 gym leader battles could be! Its actually a true pve challenge. Before Reborn and then Rejuvenation, I never enjoyed Pokemon more! It will either change your life or make you realize you only enjoy the series for its nostalgia.
  14. If you ever do it let me know first. I'll be the first to do a walkthrough.
  15. Right I wasn't saying it wasn't possible? I was just saying the fight was made trivial after what appeared to be a bug. Looking forward to seeing the new field stuff! Hopefully it doesn't change the other gyms too much, I don't want to have to rerecord all of that lol
  16. Nice work man. You've come a long way from saying "this is impossible." You should get OBS to record though, so you can stretch the capture to the proper resolution for youtube!
  17. Love the webpage in the background with you googling how to take a screenshot. But anyway, what's the question? That looks like its solved to me, is there something else that needs to be done like press a confirm button? Ahh I see now, good find previous poster!
  18. Are you planning on changing how field effects work in Angie's Gym? The fight is trivial after two lava plumes. Goes from impossible to deal damage with fire moves to everything being a one shot. Seems like a bug as well, because it says something about a cave. Just wondering if that is intended.
  19. I'd be careful. You've seen what Arceus can do to people. If you find yourself spouting latin sounding words you might want to get the Mew back.
  20. Ah ok, I saw your reply to another comment about the gym but didn't put two and two together. Thanks for the tip, very useful!
  21. So I just pushed through to Angie for the first time, but still had the rag-tag team I put together to beat the chicks on top of Tesla's house. I went through to Angie and realized that while there is a healing station, there isn't a box anywhere I can see. Does anyone know of a way out of here, or a way to change the pokemon on my team, or am I crashing the game back to the previous save and doing it all again with a proper team?
  22. Yup, this is true. Only Rotom can hit you out of her 6 pokemon. You can feasibly solo the entire gym with shedinja and one for rotom, but the switches potential paralyze makes it very grindy.
  23. Pretty nuts that he was only 55. Would you guys agree that if it weren't for his help Pokemon may not be what it is today? Regardless, his impact on the company has been apparent these last decades for sure. I don't think the head of any gaming company will be as missed as he.
  24. I had trouble finding a direct counter to Milotic as well, but stumbled upon the Nincada right next to where you dock and the light flipped on. Shedinja can't be hit by her, so it doesn't even require that much leveling. Another tip I can give is that when you have the ninjask and the shedinja in the party together, any move you learn on one copies to the other. I assume this is a bug, but regardless, what I went and did was delevel the ninjask to 19, then ding it to 20 quickly, where it learns Screech. (Be aware that the nincada doesn't actually learn screech, but 20 is when it evolves so I suppose even if the bug I described gets changed and they are still meant to copy abilities when the ninjask is created you can still do it that way. No clue, never actually used this thing before. Also note the Reverse Candy are only 50 pokedollars on this island! OP) Make sure it overrides a move you want gone from both pokemon and congrats, you now have a literally unkillable physical attacker that can lower the opponents defense to 0 and just chip away. This was particularly useful as the Milotic has recover, so I just go 3x screech, then one shot it with Phantom Force. In fact, this pokemon is untouchable by 5 out of her 6 pokemon. Only Rotom has a Ghost move, so if you are struggling with any others, you can just take on the whole team this way. Just note that the Lanturn has Thunder Wave and this pokemon with paralyze really dampens the fun!
  25. Are you playing on Intense? I have full guides for each boss on how to beat them, but if you are this frustrated with just the Normal gym the next few are going to be WAY harder for you. Might be worth your investment just to start over on the lower difficulty. This game is only as equitable challenge as you are willing to make it. If you approach every gym and every pokemon in it like a puzzle you will have much better success. But if you don't think outside of the box you'll never overcome the challenge. This isn't a game meant to be beaten in a day.
