Protonymic, I have read Reborn fic Pts 1-2. I quite like the way that you write your Pokémon battles. I admire the attention to detail that you have put into the clothing, mannerisms, personality and quirks of each character thus far (Fern, Ame, Julia, Victoria, and Cain) and I like that you haven't skimped on the details of your character's initial surroundings. The only critiscisms (constructive, not negative) that I have, thus far, are these: You had skipped quite a bit to get to the fisherman's indoor water source, and in doing so, skipped a lot of content that would have proved beneficial to the setting-up of your character, Alfred, via the simple act of having Alfred familiarise himself with his new surroundings in Reborn region. I have noticed that Espurr had not been recalled into its Poke ball after its turn in battle, and also, I don't believe that Snivy can glide. Lastly, there was no mention made of the place that you had received Espurr from, nor any mention of the process that Alfred had to go through to gain access to Espurr's location. Pachirisu's location was briefly touched upon. Nevertheless, I look forward to reading more Reborn fic and I believe that you are doing a great job.

Hi. I have read, commented upon and admired Heartbeat and Similarity. I will now read, comment upon and admire Reborn fic pt 1. How would one go about providing a link to one's fanfiction here, were that one interested in writing Reborn fanfiction? One might attempt such an undertaking.

Thankyou, everyone, for your advice and for your replies. I will keep trying to mine for the Odd Keystone in periodic bursts, as mining for hours on end gets tedious fast. I do hope that I will locate it soon, as I am re-mining rocks outside of 'its' chamber in Byxbysion Wasteland, which is taking me forever and a day to do continuously.

I have been searching for the Odd Keystone for the past two weeks, mining rocks repeatedly via Soft Reset, and still I have not found a Odd Keystone to use on the rock formation in Byxbysion Grotto, just outside of 'its' chamber. Is it true that the odds of finding the Odd Keystone in rocks that say that there are 2-3 items confirmed in the rock, while mining the rock, are more likely than the odds of finding the Odd Keystone in rocks that say that there are 4 items confirmed in the rock? I am almost at my wits' end searching incessantly for the Keystone, to no avail, at present. I have been mining no end of Fossils, Shards, Plates, Stones, Rocks, Rare Bones and so on.

I may even try to Confuse it, then throw Nest Balls and Timer Balls at it. * I caught BELDUM! I put it to Sleep, threw many Nest Balls at it while its health was in the yellow, and I CAUGHT IT! I am having extremely-neverending difficulty with not only catching Beldum, but also with struggling to decide whether or not inflicting Burn status upon it to weaken it into the yellow line would help me catch it. I am using a Ghost Pokémon against Beldum so that it doesn't Take Down itself to death, and when it runs out of Take Down, it just Struggles to death. 20 Great Balls only eventually wiggle 2-3 times, but it always breaks out and I am thinking that even Timer Balls won't help me catch it. Should I download an earlier version of the game (Episode 10? Episode 13? Whichever episode doesn't require a Data Chip to catch it/lets me more easily catch it) just to capture it? I could use it before Radomus' battle. Can anyone help me with this?. * A catch rate of THREE? Really!? It's heartbreaking. It should NOT be this difficult to catch. I just want a Beldum. If there was any chance that I could trade anyone for a Beldum, I would, but I know that this is never going to happen - it's far too traumatising and traumatically-difficult to capture and so no-one would trade it away for another, easier-to-capture, one-time-only event Pokémon.

True - I hadn't considered that option. I will catch a backup Pokémon that has Damp ability and I will try to put Baltoy to Sleep. Thanks, TimTim. EDIT: I CAUGHT a shiny Baltoy from the Rhodocrine Jungle Grotto totem pole! I used Yawn on my first turn against it, then it used Power Trick, then on my second turn, I used a Great Ball and I caught it! Thankyou for your tremendous assistance, TimTim and mde2001.

Thankyou, mde. I will capture a Pokémon with the ability Damp to prevent Baltoy from self-destructing.

So, I encounter a shiny Baltoy, purely by soft-resetting and pure chance, and when I throw a Great Ball at it to capture it, it wiggles three times, breaks free of the Ball and blows itself up. I could catch a non-shiny Baltoy, but I'm certain that I won't be able to breed it to hatch a shiny from its offspring and I really want a shiny Baltoy. I encounter a second shiny Baltoy. It uses Stealth Rock and then it self-destructs...again. Talk about dejavu. Why it had to be given Self Destruct as a move, I'll never know. What should I do? I keep re-encountering it, but it keeps being suicidal. I had the idea to use Corey's Nidorina's Disable against Baltoy, but that does not work, because I can only Disable a move after it has been used. I swear that my shiny Electrode encounter and my capture of my shiny Electrode (which I had to encounter five times before I caught it, because of its love of exploding mere moments before I could capture it) was far less difficult than shiny Baltoy is being.

I have located and captured Corey's Nidorina. Now I have two out of six of Corey's Pokémon team. Next Pokémon to track down and capture: Skuntank.

Oh, okay, then. I will recover my latest backup save file, then go back and catch a female Murkrow, instead. I will put my Flame Body shiny Ponyta into my party while I am walking around with the Murkrow egg. EDIT: I have recovered my backup save file, I have captured a female Murkrow and I am taking it to the Daycare to be bred with my male Noibat.

I have caught a non-shiny Murkrow male and I am taking it to the Daycare Couple now to breed it with a Flying-type Pokémon, possibly with my Noibat. I will check to see what egg moves I can pass on, through the Noibat/other Flying-type and through my new, non-shiny Murkrow. I have my fingers crossed that I can hatch a shiny Murkrow from an egg that these Pokémon can provide to me.

Would you happen to know what Pokémon are in Murkrow's egg group? I have no idea about egg groups. A shiny Ralts? That's awesome. I must find myself a Ralts and see if I can soft reset so that the Ralts that I will find can be shiny. Remarkably, I found my shiny Rotom hunting (and my capture of shiny Rotom) far less difficult than I am finding my shiny Murkrow hunting, at the moment.

I have been continuously soft-resetting for a shiny Murkrow for three-plus hours on end, and I still have yet to encounter a shiny Murkrow. I have saved beside the Murkrow, at night, in strong windy weather, and I am endlessly soft-resetting my Episode 15 game, then talking to the Murkrow, then encountering it in battle, and then rinsing and repeating from start to finish. But still, I find no shiny Murkrow. Is Murkrow shiny-locked, and if it is, what Pokémon should I breed a non-shiny Murkrow with, in the hope of eventually hatching a shiny Murkrow from a Daycare Egg? I don't know why shiny Murkrow has not appeared - it should have, by now. I do wonder if this is the Does anyone have any suggestions for me as to how best to proceed? I really want a shiny Murkrow that I can include within my current Reborn team.

Hi, everyone. My shiny Pokémon collection has just increased by two Pokémon - one awesome Pokémon and one incredibly-awesome Pokémon. Say hello to my shiny Electrode and my shiny Rotom. Seriously take a look through the Graphics > Battlers folder and take a look at them both - they look sensational. Today, I have been shinyhunting for four hours straight, so far. Finding, capturing and admiring my shiny Rotom and shiny Electrode has been totally worth it.
