Sandbox Mode + Follower Pokemon
DerxwnaKapsyla replied to Komala And Cherrim's topic in The Mod Market
I also do not recommend using Debug mode. On that note, I will say that melding Sandbox and the Following Pokemon mod wouldn't be too hard; the scripts for Following Pokemon would have to be modified for the small script changes I made in Sandbox Mode, which wouldn't be complicated. -
Download Quick Patch 1 and 2.

I knew I wasn't going crazy @_@ Alright, thanks for pointing it out! The Gracidea working is outside my domain. That's probably something to take up with the actual dev team. As for a Secret Sword tutor, maybe. I'll put it on the list of things to look into!
-
I just looked over all my npcs, and none of them are selling the ability capsule... Which is weird because I coulda swore I put it in! Well, it'll be in the next release. Unless there's any more critical bugs, I'm not making any more quick patches.
-
I have added the Google Drive links to the first post, now let's tackle the posts between then and now! So, once you download Sandbox Mode itself and extract it to its own unique folder, you also extract the files of Quick Patch 1, specifically these files: And you add them to the folder labeled "Data". This will fix all future instances of Sandbox warping you to the wrong map. I cannot vouch for the stability of this idea as I am not the person in charge of the Select Weather Mod, nor have I messed with it. If this works, congratulations! However, I cannot offer help if something goes awry in the future. EDIT: Another bug has come to my attention, yet another oversight on my part. This time I'm just gonna make a Quick Patch 2 instead of pulling Quick Patch 1 down. The bug involves the fight with Kalypsa downstairs on the bottom floor. When Quick Patch 2 is uploaded, please install Quick Patch 1 first if you haven't yet!
-
I'll have the Google Drive link up hopefully later today. My internet isn't exactly in the best of states right now, so uploading stuff goes extremely slow. When it's uploaded, I'll have it appended to the first post. Check back in like, a few more hours I'd say.

I don't know how Alola Forms work in Reborn, so as of right now they aren't obtainable directly through Sandbox Mode. The Box Filling NPC is very... fickle. It's trying to fill 27 boxes with 800 Pokemon, so it's likely to crash on machines that can't take the load, and that's just an issue with the infrastructure of RMXP and Essentials, and alas, something I don't think I'm able to fix.. Your best bet is to generate the Pokemon specifically.
-
Did you put both of the files into the relevant folder?
-
I'm still not sure if I want my fangame to have a silent protagonist or one that talks instead... Whatever I pick, it should be mostly consistent.
-
The quick patch is right under the main download, it should fix the bugs, the people I've sent it to have said it was fixed...
-
Three bugs in 1 hour, all fixed. I feel dizzy @_@

Well, I have some bad news, and I have some good news. Let's just... get the bad news out of the way first, that way the good news can dampen it! So the bad news is this: Despite my best efforts, I am struggling with making an NPC that allows you to change your Pokemon's nature normally. My attempts just keep coming up short, and quite frankly I don't have the energy to try and deduce everything right at this moment. I'm giving up on making that NPC- for now at least. I might revisit it in the future. In the meanwhile, this will no longer slow down the release because... The good news is this: Sandbox Mode for Episode 17 is finished and uploaded! I'll append the first post with the download link, so you can get it there. But in the meanwhile, have the change log for Version 3 of Sandbox Mode. I may have missed a few custom things, since I still haven't played E17 yet- my schedule just hasn't been friendly, and I don't foresee myself playing it until February. So, if I did miss anything, please inform me and I'll work on adding it to the Sandbox Zone as soon as I am able! Also, like the change log mentions, I added an inconsequential NPC Battle to the Sandbox Zone; I was messing around with stuff and felt like making a simple little battle to test some stuff out, so I decided to make one for one of the protagonists of my series of stories called Chronicles of the Omniverse. You don't have to pay any mind to it really, I just couldn't be bothered to delete it considering how unobtrusive it was. Also also! In the right-most Agate Circus Checkpoint map, there will be a computer terminal that takes you to the Sandbox Zone. This will allow you to return there without needing to return to the Grand Hall, and I've also made it so you can't access the Grand Hall during this period (You also can't access Agate Circus before you reach it in the story, no sequence breaking here folks!). EMERGENCY EDIT: There was a bug that prevented you from going to the Sandbox Zone, this has been rectified. PLEASE download the Quick Patch and install it AFTER you extract Sandbox Mode to a new folder. There are instructions on how to fix it in the relevant download. My bad! EMERGENCY EDIT 2: CHUNKMO: There were more bugs than I anticipated! I've pulled and reuploaded the Quick Patch. Please apply BOTH fixes, even if you applied the first one the last time. There was another issue on the Grand Hall map that I overlooked. This SHOULD be the last critical bug! Once more, I would like to apologize for taking so long with this, but it's here now, and I believe I've got everything essential to a customizable sandbox experience. Hopefully you all enjoy once more!

I apologize for being silent for so long, my schedule has been really... messy the past couple months, and is likely to continue being messy for the indeterminate future. My game dev juice have been drained so hardcore that whenever I open RPG Maker I just kind of stare at it for hours without doing anything. It's not a lack of interest that's prevented me from working, it's an extreme lack of energy and drive, which I've been suffering from for a few years now. But, let's just... forget the excuses, I'm here right now, and I still want to continue working on Sandbox Mode, especially now that E17 is out. It'll take me... a fair amount of time, especially since I'll be gone the entire second half of January, but I do have the tools I need to work again. Let's see what I can get done!

Touhou Puppet Play ~ The Mansion of Mystery
DerxwnaKapsyla replied to DerxwnaKapsyla's topic in Fan-game Exposé
Folks! It has been far too long since I have been around, and since the bowels of depression have ensnared me within its vicious cycle of self depreciation! While I have not fully escaped its grasp yet, I have managed to create a tunnel that will go upward once more hopefully, and put me back where I desire- making games that make me satisfied. To start with, I have finished up Version 1.1 of Touhou Puppet Play ~ The Mansion of Mystery! It's taken me several months to finish what should have taken me a few weeks, but- it's finished and that's what counts! So what exactly was included or changed in 1.1? Overall, not a whole lot! There were a few things I wanted to fix up from 1.0 that I wasn't satisfied with, add an extra layer of polish, that sort of stuff. However, there was one thing I wanted to include that I didn't get a chance to: the bonus boss. During the 2016 October Game Jam, I had plans to include one final boss in the game, but there just wasn't enough time to throw it in and make sure it all worked. It was a small regret, but one I let sit there until after the game jam subsided. I told myself I'd eventually add it in; and so, with this update, I finally did. The only way you can unlock this fight is by reaching the Extra Stage Mid-Boss, which of course means making it to that point without having the Bad End unlocked. Oh, right! Speaking of the Bad End and Extra Stage, I have some news regarding that! While the loss restriction is still in place, it has been modified to be much more lenient. In 1.01 it was if you lost even once. In 1.1, it's been bumped up to six losses. I felt that this was necessary, and if I could replicate the Touhou Project's continue system better I probably would have attempted to. Alas, it would have been far too clunky, and ultimately not worth the effort. This should hopefully make it much, much more forgiving and allow players to be able to reach the Extra and Phantasm Bonus Stages. Aside from those two big changes, not a whole lot else was changed! Well, I fixed some eye colors, that's fairly big in my book! Maybe not yours, but shrug! At any rate, you didn't come here to hear me ramble! The download link to Version 1.1 can be found below. If you've been waiting to give it a shot, or if you're just now learning about it, or even if you feel like playing another run- whatever the case may be, go for it! Enjoy! - DerxwnaKapsyla Touhou Puppet Play ~ The Mansion of Mystery (Ver. 1.1) [200mb, .rar]- 12 replies

In the next version of Sandbox Mode, whenever I get around to it, there'll be a way to access the Sandbox Zone after the lockout. So, I decided to draft up everything that I need to look into for Version 3 of Sandbox! This is the list I'm looking at so far: I can't guarantee all of these (Namely, I can't guarantee an Egg Move Tutor), but most of these should be in Version 3 on release. If anyone sees anything missing here, please feel free to point them out!
-
That's actually a good point, I'll look into doing something about that for the next update!
-
Outside the scope of my abilities I'm afraid. The power items are next to the EV Trainers.
-
Bottom vendor on the left, "Misc. Items". Will look into when I get a free moment! Rotom form change and Deoxys form change things will be implemented when I figure out how to do it. I'm not modifying the price of any items.

Noticed this while working on Sandbox Mode Illusion is layers of bugged. Tsareena is the last Pokemon in my party Mismagius was the last Pokemon sent out (and also the last Pokemon in the AI's party) Muk is the current form that Zoroark taken, as it is currently in the "last slot"

I look away for a week to get sucked back into Final Fantasy 14 and whoa there's been an activity surge here! Let's see if I can address everything in one shot! Unfortunately, I do not know how to make an existing Pokemon become shiny. I can attempt to look into it, but I can't make promises here. Whoof, how did I miss those? I coulda swore I at least had the Gracidea in there... I'll double check all the shops once more and place them in when I get the chance. I can modify the existing Nature-changing NPC; I initially chose not to since it already existed in game and I wanted to just copy it wholesale. However, people have been clamoring for this for a while, so I may as well make an optional NPC that does this. I... can attempt to do this. There's methods somewhere I'm sure, just not in Reborn core.
-
This is the exact reason why. Trick Room users benefit from 0 Speed IVs, Hidden Power is IV dependent, not to mention Foul Play shenanigans.
-
Yeah I didn't mean to actually imply it'd be delayed, I was more just making a passive joke! Apologies for giving the impression that I was being serious, though! Unfortunately I cannot do that. I don't want to have to compile and upload two different archives every time a build is done, because my upload rate is garbage and it takes about an hour just for the .7z to upload. I'd assume a less compressed zip would take even longer. Winrar is free to download and can open .7z files with ease, I highly recommend using it if you aren't already.

This npc has direction fix on while moving
-
There's no confirmation it'll be delayed; For all we know, e17 might not even release until December with all the content that needs to be made, so even with the new Gen 7 content it might be fine!

Peekaboo, I see a weird permission error!
