I literally just did it and team magma gave me sunny day, so both teams will not give rain dance. And he doesn't need to go back to a previous episode just go there on a normal/sunny day and squirtle will be there.

Thanks for the responses everyone, and although trading seems interesting, I have read the thread and I would not have something of equal value to offer, nor do I have anywhere close to 10 gym badges or know a person that will happily part with a shiny ditto. I have already started over but I have kept my other 35 hr save file safely stored away. This is what OCD does to me, bye 35 hours.

I feared as much.. It's going to bring me down 5 shinies and over 20 hours of gameplay if I want the shiny ditto.. Or we could beg for a repeatable event like with spiritomb? Ame senpai, please notice meeeeeee! ;-;

So I recently decided I wanted to not only completely 100% the pokedex, I also wanted everything to be shiny. This ofcourse is just a matter of grinding eggs using Ditto for any one time only pokemans, but then I realized... Crap.. I'm currently at the level cap of 55 and heading towards the 7th gym leader, so I already have a ditto.. But it's not shiny.. This would mean starting my save from scratch, wouldn't it? :/ Is there any other instance where I can get a second ditto so I could potentially get a shiny one there or am I just royally fainted right now? This hits me right in the OCD.
