I don't think it's been that much different from the build up to DP. We knew a whole bunch of Gen IV pokemon ahead of time besides the ones you mentioned, and at first we only knew the starters, version legendaries, and movie tie-in pokemon for Gen V (like the version legendaries, movie tie-in, and "rodent" that you mentioned).

Have you ever actually used Butterfree? That thing murders the beginning of the game.

If that's the case, I can still battle, but I'm gonna be a couple hours late due to work... Tomorrow is by far the best day for me, but I understand if that's too short of a notice for some people.

Erk, maybe I will have to switch to my rain team if there are going to be random double battles. Fighting a team specially made for doubles with a team made for singles is blegh. You realize that if the gym leaders continue using alternate teams, competitors are bound to demand alt teams as well, right?

Saturday the 10th or 17th would both work for me, probably. The original time of 7:00 pm EST should be fine as well; any earlier than that could be problematic. EDIT: Scratch the 17th.

These newest new ones have interesting color schemes, at least. And I kinda like the unnamed blue and red one (middle one in that picture). The 3v3 thing could be fun but seems a little ridiculous.

Yeah, my Togekiss is based on a Smogon set that's more defensively EV'd. However, I have thought of a way to make it immune to Spore (for more than one turn). I'll leave it as a surprise for Monday though. =)

I had sleep-healing berries on two pokemon when I tried to fight her yesterday. A more pressing problem is that every member of my team is slower than that Breloom without a scarf. =/
