Oh, well basically 1080, 720 and 480 are basically just values meant to represent the width of a video's resolution. At higher resolutions the ability for one to distinguish quality begins to increase. The p, itself, stands for progressive scan, where all lines in a frame are captured at the same time.
But, for the most part, if you're a casual YouTube viewer you don't need to know what this means unless you want to have water-cooler talk and impress your friends with that bit of trivia

Does anyone else including me have a soft spot for the Playstation Vita? It might not have sold very well, and in fact I'm pretty sure Sony now considers it a "failure", but goddamnit do I love that thing. Same goes for the PSP which was a huge success, albeit not early on in its lifespan, but it did finish strong.

I finished programming a post-processing effect in Unreal Engine 4 that makes all the assets in a given scene/level have a cel-shading effect. Also, I programmed in a cool UI:
Doesn't exactly work very well with objects that have a certain level of metallicity and aren't whole numbers by a factor of 2.
Still feeling like something's missing in the HUD. Unsure about the positioning or maybe I need some kind of border around the character's icon.

Here's something that doesn't make sense: My General Physics teacher, my Freshman year, was teaching with Multivariable Calculus when the pre-requisite was Calculus 1. And then someone said "but the prereq is calc 1" and he said "then i guess you need to learn multivariable calculus as well as physics".
Oof. Bad times aplenty as a Freshman.

Random question of the day: What is your daily, subconscious, web-searching routine?
Mine usually goes like this: YouTube subscriptions > Twitter > Facebook > Gmail > Tumblr > deviantART > Pixiv > Reborn > repeat
Sometimes I end up loading my gmail twice even though I just checked it literally 30 seconds ago.

I'm glad they decided to do something with Gohan and make him strong, like he was back in the Buu Saga with his Potential Unlocked. I kind of like the current arc, but that has been some things that have kind of annoyed me, such as Frieza coming back... again. But, hey, his merchandising is pretty awesome tho!

Tbh, tho, the Resurrection F saga retelling was... bad. Really bad. Especially that animation. It was the worst the series ever had. At least the Universe 6 saga was all great! (except the Batomo fight, good. god.)

Frieza I could believe, because for a long time it was stated in the original manga that he was a mutant prodigy and was born with immense power, which I assumed wasn't so far-fetched when he trained for 6 months to assume his golden form. But, I can see where you might think it's a little ridiculous.
I liked the Goku Black arc for it's villains, their motivations and their god-damn personalities, because holy crap were they awesome. All of Goku Black's grandiose speeches... mmm... das good writing. But, yeah the back and forth time traveling... 3 times? Yeah, that did get annoying.
The current arc I like quite a bit, but I wasn't all too happy seeing a certain bald monk pushing back a Super Saiyan Blue's Kamehameha and Tien getting jobbed before he could attack Roshi. Other than that I can't wait for the actual tournament, and what they will do with Frieza returning.

For people who do YouTube and do the whole "please like, comment and subscribe" nonsense at the end of their videos isn't there a better way of saying that without sounding like annoying pest? I've done YouTube videos for literally 10 years now (November 11, 2007 to be precise) and never have I once said that at the end of any of my videos. I'm sure there is a less intrusive way of saying that without coming off as annoying and sounding like you're begging for that extra like/sub. Even still I'd never do it, because I'd rather leave it up to my viewers to judge for themselves, than have me tell them what to do.
Just to add to the whole "like/comment/sub" thing. If I want to comment or have something to comment about I will. I'd rather you not remind me to do that, thanks. Also, I'll subscribe if I actually found your content not irritating like the rest of people on YouTube.

@Busti For me I develop an irrational hatred for that person and then I say to myself "thanks for wasting 5 minutes of my life that I'll never get back, kindly die in a fire". I spare the rod in some instances, but with clickbait... no. Not at all. Especially on "journalism" websites that rely on it far too much.
-
@Dylanrockin Just so you know, an extension isn't needed. Youtube has that feature innately. Pres the 3 dots next to a video, and say "not interested" and when asked why, say you don't want videos from that channel to show up anymore.
Again, what exactly are you watching that you're getting constant clickbait videos?
My homepage looks something like this: https://prnt.sc/fba91k , my homepage is mostly a combination of science videos, anime/game analysis and various music. If anything my only complaint is that Youtube is getting too good at predicting things I would like to watch.

So is it a popular consensus that Fire Emblem Birthrights and the other 2 games are pretty much not as good as Awakening and that it basically coddled fans of the series with its cringe-worthy petting and various other means of fan-service?
-
I wouldn;t say that. Fates and Awakening are both amazing games if I'm the one being asked. I prefer awakening but mainly because Lucina...
favorite gaming princess of all timewhile I prever Fates for some gameplay elements and other characters. Again I love both games so you won;t hear me complain about either too much (only complaiment about fates would be that I kinda dislike how the story is really confusing) -
pfff, western audience.
I'd agree on Awakening's storyline being better.
if you are into having some form of uhm... "emotional relationship" to characters, Fates was superior for me, while Awakening was good at it already.
If we count Revelation as the main game of Fates, which we should cause it's the actual story, it got hurt a lot by being the last path (only minor things will still be new, burnout if you invested a lot of time into Birthright + Conquest, and honestly the map design felt very off sometimes).
personal emotional viewpoint: Birthright > Conquest >> Revelation
personal gameplay viewpoint: Conquest > Birthright >> Revelation
Fates treated as one entity still is a wonderful journey. and a painful one. -

To all websites that use counter-ad-blocker measures to pester me, kindly fuck off. I'm not going to subscribe to your shitty website to have an ad-free experience. Chances are I'm only going to be on your website to do one thing: watch an episode of some anime. That's it. If I used an ad-blocker, it's because I didn't want to see your ads in my face. Accept that, and piss off.

I feel this is important: For those of you who don't know voice actors, Veronica Taylor was the original voice actor for Ash Ketchum, before she got replaced in Battle Frontier.

I wanna know what person at Nintendo looked at the name for the Nintendo Wii and Wii U and thought "Yeah that's a good idea."
I still despise the Nintendo Wii for all the garbage it brought and it's forced, gimmicky motion control nonsense. I'm just in-between with the Wii U for it at least being competent even though it lacked focus from a development standpoint. Had better games than the Wii tho.

The Xbox One's name was named that way because Microsoft were being a bunch of pretentious idiots and acting all cool by saying "This will be the console that this becomes one device that addresses all the entertainment that you want to enjoy on your TV."
The Wii and Wii U lose points for having an idiotic name that doesn't translate well to a Western audience, because yes, I do know why they named it the Wii. But most Americans are too stupid to read between the lines of what they were intending. The Xbox One loses points for having a naming convention that proves itself confusing and arrogant, made by pretentious developers trying to sound cool.
And to further run home the whole Xbox One thing... my personal rig is better than anything that console could ever offer, so no, you AREN'T going to be the "One" console for me. Fuck off Microsoft and fuck off with your stupid Kinect as well.
-
-
Bro-gamers are mostly the audience that buys that kind of console. Microsoft's thought process is: does it shoot and have wheels? No? Then we don't want it.
PS4 isn't even a factor in this, because at least they are consistent and has a naming convention that's simple and makes sense. It's not like Microsoft who's trying to be pretentious and acting intelligent when it's the most unsophisticated, and unrefined console I've ever had the displeasure of seeing.

I'm inviting everyone on this forum to my college grad party. Sounds good? Cool, see ya in 1 year.
I'd be actually surprised if anyone here actually managed to show up XD -
I can't wait for E3 this year so I can shit talk all the egotistical video game publishers who pump their chests and try to act cool each year, on Twitter for my own amusement. Best part about E3 is being a cynical bastard towards all the lies spewed out from those publishers and letting them know that they are full of it.
Also, I'm praying that there won't be a new Pokemon game announced this year, because we don't need a new Pokemon game every year. I'll take one, every other year, and have a Mystery Dungeon game on the off-year.

So, on top of me getting my CompTIA A+ Certification the other day I also just got a full-time job at my University working IT for the Summer! Everything's coming up Dylan
