So, after a whole day's worth of judging, we have concluded that the places should be as such: 3rd place goes to liliebiehlina3siste and her entry for: Symphonic Horizon - Main Cast 2nd place goes to ArryX-Kulon for her submission of Team Ladies: And 1st place goes to :iconThe-Elusive-Caravan: for her submission of (CE) Helena : Infinity Altitude - Extended Dawn. Also I really love that title XD Sounds like something I'd make. Once again, thank you all to those who participated, and I'm sorry if you didn't place. However, as I mentioned before on August 20th, 2017 I will hold another contest, so be ready for that, when it rolls around ;D I will be contacting those who placed, and I will compensate them accordingly. Well, there is a very good reason why Vice and Marissa isn't a thing, and it would be very disgusting if I were to make it happen. For reasons you will find out, when you play the game to the end, because it is spoilerific. Also, 2 new characters are scheduled to be made, along with a planned 2 other characters for the Next Dimension. I will talk about the first two now, since I have time. No artwork for awhile, for them though, since I've got to work on the ending animation. The two new characters that I will be announcing are humans that were converted into Androids/Cyborgs/whatever you want to call them. They were regular human Trainers that were captured by the Dark Fangs for experimentation, however, they managed to showcase a Trainer skill level higher than most that they have challenged before, and try to coerce them into joining the Dark Fangs. Of course, they declined and were experimented on by Dr. Richter Dezel (oh, goddamnit) and converted them into half-human, half-machine Trainers so as to make them obedient and compliant to whatever orders were given to them. There are some interesting things that make them more skillful as Trainers, compared to regular humans, in that they are able to detect the slightest movements that a Pokemon can make and adjust accordingly to whatever the opposing Trainer orders them to do, which is a huge advantage in a battle. They are able to detect the slightest fluctuations in atmospheric pressure, and are able to respond quickly enough to issue orders faster than any normal Trainer. As far as appearance goes, they look and act like regular people, with a bit of a robot look in their eyes that gives a creepy vibe from them. Personalities are still intact enough to not be generic "robots". That's all I can say about them for the time being, but this is something that plays heavily into the Northern Base and Volcano Base part of the game that's coming up ;D

There are themes of romance, but it isn't the centerpiece of the story, much like in the Tales games where characters do tend to have feelings for one another, but it isn't the main driving point of the story and anything of the sort gets resolved either optionally or at the end of the game. I have mentioned before that in the sequel that I wrote, certain characters do end up getting married and are much older. As for the coding, it's been going just as swimmingly as the mapping. Being a programming major, I find this stuff easy to handle, so there isn't much in the way of faulty errors or things that prevent the game from being playable, since I test this game on a regular basis with play-testers when I'm not able to test it myself. But yeah, the art that I put out is just for commenting sake, and to show what I'm up to. Sometimes I just have visions of certain scenes in the game that I want to have drawn out, because I want to see what my "children" look like if that scene was drawn out rather than in-game.

Also, work in progress for the ending: for those of you who like Hiro and Vice, as well as Vivian and Allan, here's something to look forward to.

Welp, time is now up, and for those of you who planned on submitting your, well, submission, I'm afraid there will be a next time for you in August. For now, though, the judging process will begin, and you will see the results of the top 3 winners and the rest who didn't make top 3 will be able to request being put into the game as a named NPC that can be battled/conversed with. However, I will not put in someone's username, but rather their first, actual name. I'm not really all too keen on having a game where everyone has a first and a last name and then there are just rando people with bizarre aliases running around. That said, your alias/online handle will be put into the game's credits, as a compromise, alongside your actual first name. There were a total of 11 submissions, which is pretty darn good for a first, ever contest that I've held. The next one will be held on August 20th, 2017 and there will be significant rule changes to accommodate it, however the prizes will be much better along with raffle prizes with placings going up to 5th place ^^ The next one will also be thematic. What will be the theme? That's for you all to find out, when I announce it ;D Thank you all who joined the contest, as it was really fun seeing all the unique takes on the characters and their personalities in various situations. I hope you all look forward to the results of the contest, and for those of you who don't place, don't feel bad, because there is always next time and there will be spots for up to 5 places in the next contest. This whole, first contest was merely a demo, a pilot if you will, to test the waters and see how people would receive it, and so far it went as well as I had hoped and then some. The next one, you can expect to be bigger and much harder, since there will be a threshold that MUST be met, before the contest ends. I will be posting a video thanking everyone who participated, as well as announce the winners there!

So, updated. Dark Fang Volcano Base now has an entrance! It's still a work in progress, but so far I'm quite pleased with how it's turned out ^^

You will be surprised by how much you'll be pleased. I've spent an entire year on the story and it's 353,576 words long. Which... that's anime levels of dialogue and story telling. You'll get what you wanted and then some. Prepare to see character development and story like none you've seen before. This game is meant to be a crossover/combination of Tales and Pokemon. You should watch some of the skit videos I made.

Also, here is a little something for all of you who were wondering what (some) of the areas of the game entail. This does not list ALL of the areas in the game, but rather several key areas that hold great importance to the game's plot. I will list them off one-by-one, however, this is spoilerific, so click the spoiler if you don't care about being spoiled about the significance of these locations: (click the image if you want to zoom in, however, this is watermarked and jpg so the quality is less than the full version png)

So, you remember that volcano I was talking about? Remember when I said the production values would be higher? Remember when I said there'd be lava? Well... I MEANT IT! XD Also, the walking through walls is debug mode if anyone is curious.

Four days remaining, the final hours are approaching, which means it is almost time for... JUDGEMENTO! ... I miss Kratos.

HOLY F'ING SH** DYLAN IS ACTUALLY POSTING SOMETHING ABOUT HIS GAME?! Yes, actually. I am now done with Infinity Mine. Well, done with it as in "I hate minecarts and I'm taking a break from them, because they freaking suck." But, the break that I am referring to is making new maps, this time NOT in an winter wonderland made up of beautiful crisps of frozen water. Instead I am working on a new island that the player has to go to, in the story. It is just referred to as Volcano Island, holds the most volcanoes of any location in the entire region. It's volcanoes are not nearly as large as the super volcano in the central continent, but it has many more than that one does, including mini-volcanoes that spew gasses from the planet. Currently, this first map has no lava, sadly, and instead is an area that leads up to where all the fun is at. So, the island is home to the Dark Fang's Volcano Base, which is the smallest base in their entire organization, but holds the single purpose of generating the Fairy-Psychic barrier around the Northern Base by using geothermal energy produced from this island's volcanic vents. Vincent Burklight was stationed here to observe and locate the exact position of the Dark Fang's Volcano Base, and managed to find it located actually inside of the volcano itself. However, after he relayed the information to Helena and the others, he was forced to fight one of the Masked Trainers who unexpectedly joined sides with the Dark Fangs. Vincent used his Soul Surge with his Pokemon to gain an upper-hand, but eventually was defeated, due to the damage on his right arm that was already a result of using this ability too much. Afterwards he was captured and taken to the Northern Base, alongside Tara Bloom. Ironically, even though the Dark Fangs have a base stationed on this island, they are currently unaware of the presence of one of the Arc Stone Fragments that lie dormant, deep in the inner workings of the volcanic caverns.

Good guess, but try again XD It has nothing to do with this game or the manga of the game. But, it is in a game that I am working on as an occasional side-project. I'm still taking guesses, at the moment. The first volume is expected to be finished, roughly around the end of Summer-ish. If not towards mid-September. Also, since my friend can read and write in Japanese, there will also be a Japanese version of the manga, if anyone(?) here wants to read it in that language. Mostly doing that, because we are selling it on Pixiv as well, where there is a 94% Japanese user-base. Also, side note: For those of you who're curious of what the locations in the game look like in a full-scale appearance, as well as significant areas of the game that certain set-pieces take place at, well here ya go (Work in progress) : this is for the anime ending, by the way, for those who're curious as to why I'm doing all this bizarre artwork and whatnot. Because I like being all artsy and fartsy, as well as accentuating the fantasy feel of the universe that my game takes place in, I do end up making things look EXTREMELY "out-there". Also, yes, I do love towers, and when you play this game, you'll be getting used to traveling through them. I always loved the way towers looked, since (real talk) I wanted to grow up to be an architect, so that I may one day build something that reached out into the skies. It was always so fascinating to me, just to see how high you could go, and what you will see from up there.

So, I haven't done much in the way of game progression updates, because FUCK school and all that's it's worth! I have stupid classes at the moment that have been eating up ALL of my time. [anger] But, last night at stupid o'clock I got the entirety of Infinity Mine evented (finally) which means all that remains for it is the story events that take place there and I can start up some new areas of the game, finally! Also, here's a character that I'm going to let you all guess who it is. What's up with her clothes? Who is she? Take a guess! This artwork was done by someone other than my main artist, and this will be a character who is NOT in this game.

Well there is only 7 days remaining, and for those on here who did say they were entering, it's best to get it taken care of as soon as possible, than to wait until the last minute where there isn't much time remaining.
