  1. 'Tis the christmas season and with it new content. With new content comes new additions and with new additions comes... more gameplay. So, without further ado, her is a little bit of christmas artwork to set the mood, and to let you take in the emotions of Symphonic Horizon through the holiday season, before the test period can begin. Holiday themed costumes for Christmas will be included in the game! The artwork was also done by the same person who did the artwork for the Halloween Costumes, except these are a bit old, given that this was made when Serena was going to be in the game. Who was then replaced by Krista Harper and made 1000x more important and interesting. Halloween Costumes Christmas Costumes - If you're wondering, yes... Marissa can play the Piano, and brilliantly I might add. Since the page is lagging, thanks to the obnoxious snow effect on the screen I am actually having a hard time typing this out right now. But, all of these additional costumes will be available in the game, and can be unlocked via side-quests. Also, just because I can... here is Vivian at a convention meeting her No. 1 fan Sara Keeney (secret character in the game) Also, on the topic of redesigns... the Masked Trainers will be receiving a redesign. They will retain their masks, however they will no be wearing armor. Artwork down below. This has been quite the Yuletide haul. But believe me... there is more where this came from. Apologies for not posting the video like I promised. Sadly finals have been rough, and I haven't had time to record the footage yet. But, soon enough I can promise that I will show off the new battle mechanics. Also, on the topic of playing the Piano, there will be a section later on that will require you to have Marissa play a piece of sheet music by inputting certain keys. It's not a full song, rather than just a few bars worth of music. And the answer can be found within the location itself. So, you better brush up your Piano skills!

This... is one of the weirdest things I have ever seen. I didn't even know this show had an official Japanese dub O_o

  4. So, a little extra update that I wanted to bring up. I will be showcasing the new original Focus System, tomorrow, after my last final for this semester. I will be showing off much more than just that. There will be snippets of story related stuff, which you do or don't have to watch; it's up to you. Also, I will be showing off the Trainer emotions as well as showing off some boss fights from the game itself to give a better explanation of what I mean, since it's kind of a hard thing to explain. There have also been some huge improvements to the Variable Trainer System of my game, as well as many other changes to the way abilities function. Story progress has increased substantially but would require some testing from the testers that I don't have at the moment, so bleh. I made drastic changes to the prologue of the game, and gave more backstory to what happened before the events of this game, as you get to play as Mia Vance, Vaan Cresthart and Ariana Valeria as they experience their last moments before they die. But, things to look forward to for coming weeks are boss fight videos, new mechanics and features as well as story snippets. Since I will have a lot of time to do whatever the hell I want over my Christmas Break I can effectively get everything that I was hoping to get done, finished. And then some. I've never been one to lie or let anyone down here, in regards to my game, so keep your hopes high, and there will be quite the delivery coming around.
  5. Well, I always do have a way around this, but I do have a large amount of progress made on the game so far as it is that it isn't too much of a huge deal. Speaking of... this new artwork that I'm showing looks kind of familiar. The artwork below isn't shaded, so these are only the base colorations That's because it does. This is Helena Brennan's redesign. I felt that she looked way too similar to certain characters in the franchise, and that parts of her design didn't make much sense. So, this is Helena's redesign, and the wallpaper background will be updated to accommodate this change as well. I am contemplating her cape being black as opposed to white, though.
  6. So, I'm pretty mad. Well, what else is new. Dylan mad? Hah, sounds like the usual Winter snowfall to me. But, no seriously... I am mad. Basically, I bought a Pixelmon Server for the Reborn Forums, here, and it was from Gameservers. I specifically said that I wanted them to charge my Paypal account, since that has ALL of my money. Apparently their definition of charging through Paypal means... we'll send you the notification on there, but we'll actually charge your Bank Account, which has 0 dollars and 0 cents. Which basically led to an overdraft fee of 130 dollars. That might not sound like a lot, but it is. Especially when you're a poor college student, barely making any sort of money. That money was supposed to last me for another month of commissions, before I earn a huge, lump-sum amount of money that would last me for an entire year or two. So, because of that... I'm not quite feeling the idea of relaunching the Pixelmon server on Reborn any time soon. At least, until I can get enough money for the server to remain stable for a LONG time.
  7. Prepare to be surprised. There are a few of them, but the biggest is at the end. Also, here is the introduction to a new mechanic introduced to the game. I am also going to be working heavily on remaking several of the graphical assets in the game, such as the new pause screen that I'm working on that was inspired by one of the Tales' games pause screens. This is still a work in progress, since its still using the same buttons from the previous pause screen as well as other stuff, but what you'll notice is the background for it: This introduces the Trainer emotions system to the game. The background in question is this. Also, in the pause screen you will see the words "Sadness, Calm, and Fury" those are the new Trainer emotions status effects. Basically it's a new status that is afflicted ONLY to the Trainers themselves. Fury - Causes the Pokemon in battle to do 10% more damage, but receive 10% more damage, as well as fill the Focus Gauge twice as fast. Sadness - Causes the Pokemon in battle to do 10% less damage, but receive 10% less damage, as well as fill the Focus Gauge twice as slowly. Calm - Is the "Normal" status that has no modifier to the Focus Gauge buildup or power of the Pokemon in play. How emotions are changed/affected is based on certain attacks and story based events that either make the characters furious or sad. Moves like Sweet Scent will put the Trainer into the Calm status, no matter what, whereas a move like Smokescreen will have a 30% chance to cause Sadness as well as Sing. So, basically this puts into literal terms the emotions that the Trainers feel and how it affects their battling abilities. It's not like it causes a significant change, but it is a new factor that needs to be taken into account, since certain moves can afflict the status to the Trainers. You can use items like Calming Essences to cure Fury, and if you use it while in the Calm status you'll force yourself into the Sadness Status. Whereas Temper Surge cures Sadness and if you use it while Calm, it gives you the Fury Status.
  8. For those of you Doctor Who fans, this official Japanese dub is... actually quite good. Don't know why you'd want to watch in a Japanese dub, but... there ya go.

  9. I might feel shitty, but this video always makes me feel slightly better.

  10. Hello, again. This post is nothing special, other than showing off the final colors for Maron Branford and her design. As you can see the art style for this picture is different than the ones you guys are used to seeing, and that's because my artist decided to use the same form of shading that was used in the Elite Four and Champion artwork, seen above.
  11. So, to all of my readers, I apologize in advance for not saying anything past while... I've been emotionally charged and perpetually distressed. Going so far as to question many things that stem as far as pathological. A lot of things happened in my life that I'm not all too eager to share, unless its with someone close. Let's just say a lot of bad, and nothing good. Anyways, update: After several script revamps, edits and many, many read-throughs, as well as several graphical enhancements, coding changes, battle mechanics enhancements; I am going to be beginning a selected testing period of people whom I think should be given the opportunity to test my game. This testing period will be over the time-span of 1 month, after I test for battle-bugs, necessary code changes and script anomaly rewrites. Throughout this testing period I will be receiving feedback on the gameplay, story and general mechanics as a whole. Because, there is a lot in the game that I have not shown, and for a very good reason. This beta will cover the first 65% of the entirety of the game's script, which encompasses 254,512 of the 350,000+ words of the current script. It ends at the beginning of the Eclipse Mountain Mine, and right after the Frost Sanctuary. From my own personal playthroughs of the game, this covers about 60 hours, roughly, worth of playable content. No filler, no bullshit, just straight story with no babble in the middle to serve as something the player will have to put up with. 65 hours of gameplay, and the current allotment of characters to play as is all 6 of them. It goes beyond the City of the Timeless, which means Allan and Hiro are playable. I will begin sending out messages to certain people, and this goes as far as a "trust" basis. And the testing will begin at the end of the month, so it will be a nice "Christmas Present" for those getting to play it. Also, new character: Maron Branford. This character serves as a driving force behind some of Krista Harper's development and later motivations, during the period of time after Hiro and Allan join the party. In terms of her age, she is one of the youngest characters in the game, only being 10 years old. She serves as a way to reintroduce characters that left for a good while, back into the story as the proceed to hunt her for the Fragment that merged with her body. Well, until something happens and then she doesn't have it in her anymore; to which they think she still has it in her. Compared to the other characters in the game that serve as powerful, and possess somewhat cheery personalities - Maron is quite timid and frail. She takes up a passion in fishing down by the Horizon River, in a place she calls "Her Special Place". A fishing spot that no one ever goes to, because they think the Pokemon in the forest are vicious, but really they aren't. As for her battling skills she isn't that strong. Her only Pokemon is Azumarill, who... has horrible things happen to, and later it's Empoleon who serves to protect Maron from the Dark Fangs. She is saved by one of the Masked Trainers in an effort that she was not supposed to act upon, but did out of the necessity to save her from the fate of the Arc Stone Fragment within her, as it would've absorbed her body and eventually killed her.
  12. As if my day couldn't get any worse... You know what. Fuck it. Just fuck it. Below is all I have to say in regards to the matter, at how cruel the human mind and reality can be. Because that's the way life goes. Never as you planned! The world is a very arbitrary place, isn't it? It's a place where you can be locked in emotional turmoil at the contradictions between good or bad, morally right and morally wrong. Oh, I know you'd like to think that your friendship would be enough to sustain you through any mishap or misfortune... but that's not the way the world works.

No, the world is a place where fate intervenes when you least expect it, with consequences that can turn your world upside down. Just when you think you've etched the perfect portrait of your future, and your life couldn't get any better. Just when you let down your guard at last and against all odds, that's when tragedy decides to step in. When fate hits you with the cold slap of reality and shows you who's in charge. Yes, the world has taught me that reality doesn't give a shit whether you hate it or not. The contradictions between morally right and morally wrong has set my mind in a never ending, constant loop.

This is the last that will be heard from me for a good while, until I can get my mind sorted out, and any and all outside issues in my life are a no issue. Especially in regards to another, outside, and personal matter on my hand that turned my entire past several months flat on its face, and my world shifted 180 degrees.

  13. UNPOPULAR OPINIONS AND RANTS AHEAD READER DISCRETION ADVISED Okay, this is just a little PSA from me to aspiring Pokemon Game Developers who frequent my thread. As of recently, I've gotten word from one of my artists, not gonna say who, that she was offered a "exposure position" in their game, to make artwork for them... Thankfully it was no one from Reborn, but anyways. Now, if you don't want to piss me off or make me your enemy, I'd suggest you not do what this person did. First off all, the artist in question was one of my best friends who I've known for several years on deviantART, before I even started making a game. Like... 8th Grade or so. Anyways, she told this person off and said "No, if I'm going to put my time, making Fakemon or character designs for your game, I'm going to need to be compensated." The "developer" behind the game didn't agree to those terms and argued left and right saying that she was in the wrong for denying that position, because it would've given her more viewers on her page and went on insulting her and calling her stupid. You do not dare insult one of my friends and treat her like an object and hope to get away with it. To me, those kinds of developers are less than scum, and saying that is still too nice. This indicates the worst part of the Pokemon Fan-Game Community to the worst extent. This is the prime reason why I get upset at every single developer that thinks that they have a game that is worthy to have artists work for them in exposure. That is absolutely false, unless you're doing the artwork yourself. I don't give a damn who you are, in this day and age, artwork, programmers, whatever it is, don't want to work for free; no matter how amazing you make your game look. Chances are, if you're going to make a Pokemon game, money will be passed around, even Amethyst has to work day and night to get commissions done. I had to work THREE FUCKING JOBS, 90 hour weeks, for 3 months! Just so that way I could pay off my aunt, and also contribute money towards my game, artwork, etc. And if you can't pay for this kind of stuff either, understand the scope of what it is that you're working for and work with what you got, make a lower budget game that uses non-original characters or whatever, or get a job. And if worse comes to worse you learn how to draw, program, write, whatever, on your own. What I'm trying to get across here is this: If you want someone to make artwork for you, chances are, you will have to exchange money with someone. I have to, Amethyst has to, a lot of people have to. It's a good business practice as well, because it teaches you discipline and makes you stand out more as a much pleasant and hardworking person, than just someone who thinks they have the right to "free artwork, programmers, whatever." I am widely respected on deviantART because I hold up my end of the bargain and pay off every single commission I make, and I even make many amazing friends who have been very supportive of me to this day. If you want to hire someone to do artwork, pay them. Money talks more than whatever crap you throw into your game. If you want to make a game with original characters, it's high time that that person learn some proper discipline and bust their asses to get what they want. Shit ain't gonna come to them, they gotta start working for it. And this whole thing falls under theft of other people's assets, which is a totally different story in itself. Sorry for the rant, I seriously needed to get this off of my chest. This has been eating away at me ever since, and I felt it necessary to speak my mind about the Pokemon Fan-Game Community as a whole. I probably wouldn't have said anything if not for the fact that my friend was seriously insulted on the basis of what he said to her. Because... my god, people like him just need to learn that not everything in this world is free.
  14. Right now, I wish I had someone to just... vent and rant away to. Because... I have so much crap that I need to get off my chest, in some way, without sounding like a complete asshole.

At least you show honesty in your words. Not very many people have that nowadays. Anyways, how would you feel if you were an artist that works 60-70 hours a day, every week to make a living and was approached by a "developer" who acts selfishly for the sake of their own game? Approached on the basis of working for exposure, for an amateur developer who if he is turned down will insult you and say that you are in the wrong for turning down the offer. Would you enjoy that? No, I don't think you would. It makes me wonder why people in the Pokemon Fan-Game Community lack basic human morals to treat people properly, and not itemize them for the sake of their talents. Also with people in the community being fucking elitist ass-holes who think they can treat people like dirt, because they were turned down. I'm not gonna say who the person is, but I can tell you that they're from Relic Castle, and doesn't know any fucking better. He's the type of person who thinks he knows everything about game design, after being on the site for half a year, with little progress on his game, and therefor thinks he has this "divine rite" of artists working for him for free. Which pisses me off in several ways, mostly because he disrespected one of my best friends, who I've known for like 7 years. JUST because he was turned down! IT'S RIDICULOUS and it makes me so mad and ashamed to know that I am surrounded by people like him, on a day-to-day basis.

Thanks for the kind words. I know what you mean and it's sad that not many people have it nowadays. I rather just know the truths whether than deal with people lying to me because I'm a trusting and caring person so that could bite me if someone does that and they are secretly plotting against me for a while. I would not like to be approached by a selfish game developer which is why I try to make sure my team knows how much I appreciate everything they do for me and for the project and not just asking for whatever I need done for their role.  Am I being selfish still though even by doing this because now you worried me that I might be selfish because of what you mentioned. Problem is that it's not just people in the pokemon fangame community that lack morals these days, it's possible to be anyone sadly.  But no I would not enjoy being ridiculed just because I turned down their offer.  They are currently at RC because if they are then I don't know the male but I thought I had an idea of who he could be because I have had negative experiences with a male before like your friend seems to be having. Do you think it's wrong to ask people to work for free if they are okay with giving their services and talent for free? I'll continue this later.

    4. Dylanrockin

I honestly have no idea why I am here on the forums right now, given everything that's happened to me, but whatever. I'll at least answer this. The thing is... if someone is openly WILLING to do this, and were not approached by you specifically, then its fine. If it's someone like my artist, who does this for a living and works day and night to complete commissions, and you asked them "hey wanna work for me? I'll pay you in exposure." or something along those lines that make it sound like your project is just THAT much more important than their own well-being, then its wrong. I hire people to do the work for me because it's honest, and a good business practice. It's good a business practice for the real world, whether you like it or not. There's no getting around it. If you wanna become a game developer in the future, and pay people in exposure or a pat on the back, then I'm sorry, it's not gonna get you anywhere. Chances are, if you have someone working for you for free, they're going to leave sooner than if you were to actually give them compensation for the time they're allocating towards your work. People who do commissions, like my artist, who's been with me for 2 years now, hasn't had a second thought about my project, because I've kept up with my payments and have been an honest businessman who shows for his work. I've spent upwards to 20,000+ dollars on my game, in the past 6 years, and that's not something anyone can say they've done. I've gained a positive reputation for that, and it might sound annoying to have to pay people to get artwork, but that's just how it is. Amethyst has to do it, I have to do it.

And to follow up on that. If these people you approach need to do commissions to sustain themselves, and you ask them to work for you in exposure or a simple pat on the back, then you're depriving them of what they need to survive, for the sake of your own fan-game. Which is... ABSOLUTELY wrong. They're putting in time for YOUR game, so if you wanna make an "honest trade" you better pay them in advance. Otherwise it isn't honest. It's labor that they're not getting anything out of. There is absolutely no way this can be justified, unless these people don't have to worry about personal finances or commissions and they're doing this willingly.

This is a quote from my artist, when I asked her about the subject of "working for nothing."

      b06bf8099393f4ca8eb4f3dfae886d91.png

      e196200b6752657b6bf8f149203f2c97.png

So, long story short, you do you, but chances are... I won't give anyone's game a second thought if I found out they had artists, who do artwork for a living, made artwork for their game, for just a simple "yeah, you did great." Also if you use Kickstarter, then you're also in the wrong, since Pokemon Fan-games, no matter who in the hell is making it, doesn't deserve funding from shit. It's a fan-game and they don't own the rights to it, to be funded. It's annoying, it's hard to accomplish with a fan-game, but if what's gotta be done, then it's gotta be done. I had to work 3 jobs for the entirety of summer, just so I could fund my game for an entire year, and pay off my aunt who robbed me blind, because she bought me a car and didn't tell me till the last second that I had to pay for it.

Anyways, I'm gonna be parting ways from the forums for a couple weeks. I've got many things on my hand and way more agitated than necessary with all the crap I've had to put up with, this past week. I'll still be working on my game, but not saying anything about it, until I return. Sorry if this seemed way more aggressive than it needed to be, but I needed to share my 2-cents on the matter of "exposure, and working for free non-sense."

  15. Wow, the new site changes are certainly... something. Not nearly as cozy as the previous one, but it certainly is something. But, anywho, since the site was down for a while I couldn't show off some of the new mechanics and features that have been included in my game. And I still won't, for at least a week or so, until I can readily think up and prepare what it is that I need the video to focus on, as well as compile all the stuff in order. For now though, here is some nice artwork of Vivian and Mia Vance, my two favorite characters in the game. This picture is referred to as "Path to Power". If you guys are wondering why their clothes are so similar, it's mainly for story reasons, such as Vivian following the same path as Mia. Vivian's mother recognizes this and gives her new clothes that she made to look similar to Mia's, but not exactly the same. Also, how would you guys feel about there being a Symphonic Horizon art gallery? I mean, there is a deviantART group page that has ALL of the artwork for my game, but that isn't easy to include on a forum page.
  16. I would as well, but I'm quite content with Banette, because it's meant to also symbolize her young nature, by carrying around a doll. Also, here is another update in regards to the Focus Gauge in battle: It reads out the amount of Focus you have in percent, and when it is filled about 50% the gauge turns red indicating you can use a Verdant Arte Lv. 1. Also, what is included as well, and this is something that I'll need people's input on, is for regular Pokemon that isn't the lead Pokemon of each character's team, they can enter Overlimit. For those of you who have played a Tales game before, Overlimit is a state that allows for you to take half-damage and not stagger from any hit or status effect, while allowing you to use a Mystic Arte. This is very much the case in this game, however, the only benefits it gives to regular, non-lead Pokemon, is the half-damage taken, immunity to flinching and status effects, while not being able to use Verdant Artes, since those are exclusive to the Lead Pokemon.
  17. So, good morning to all, and I hope you all had a great past day or so. In follow up to the awesome wallpaper, above this post, I have exciting news! I now have the Focus Verdant Arte System now fully implemented! See the screenshot below: So, basically how it works is this: Whenever you deal or take damage, your Focus Meter increases by the Square Root of y=mx+b. Why am I using a linear equation for this, well it's simple. The reason why I am using y=mx+b, where 'y' is Focus received, 'm' Total Damage 'x' is number of hits (i.e. multi-hit moves) and 'b' the level of the Pokemon that landed the attack in battle. This is the case so that way the amount of Focus earned is linear, which is determined by the square root of the function in question. This basically means that Focus scales linearly. It was square rooted, because the final amount earned would've been too large, and gaining Focus would've been too easy. If anyone is willing to suggest a better formula for this, I am all ears, so long as you can validly explain your reasoning. How Verdant Artes and Dual Techs work in this regard is based off of the Verdant Artes and Dual Techs used. There are Lv. 1 Vedant Artes that aren't one-hit KO's, like Storm Shuriken, which has a Base Power of 225 and causes Rain to fall when landed, and uses up 150 points of Focus. Whereas a one-hit KO Verdant Arte, like Renegade Strike, Stardust Breaker, and Divine Judgement, a Lv. 2 Verdant Arte, will use up 300 Focus Points and that Pokemon must be in their Transformed State, in order to use it. In the summary screen, you are now able to readily view how much Focus you have, with the maximum value being 300, unless you use a very rare and specific item that can increase the maximum focus by 50. However, there are only 4 of those items in the game, with the maximum amount of focus being 500. Dual Techs will now use up 300 Focus Points, and both Pokemon can either be in their transformed state or not. But, both Pokemon must be compatible with each other, in order to use it. These are also exclusive to the lead Pokemon of each character's team.

  19. So, remember that wallpaper that was in the works a couple weeks ago? Well, it's now finished However, for the people here on the forums, you will be getting a slightly lesser quality version of the full wallpaper, and it will be jpg quality, compared to the PNG version that I use. But, here is the wallpaper for those interested! Also, this artwork uses a different artstyle than what you all are used to seeing from my artist. She decided that it should look like this in style: Credits to the pixiv artist: http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?id=3932190 So, as you can tell, this is the entire Elite Four, within the Champion's Chamber. If you can't see what's behind Helena, in the center, that is a waterfall, with various other waterfalls scattered throughout the room. There are also fountains residing on each side of the room.
  20. Well, I didn't add in Gen 7 Pokemon, because as Commander said, it's overrated. Just because a new generation comes out, doesn't necessarily mean that I'm going to adhere to the unwritten laws of Pokemon Game Development and add it in. If my project was still at the beginning of it's development phase, then yes I would've added them in. But, it's so late into the project now that adding it in would be pointless and hard to explain in the story as to why they're here. Gen 1 - 6 is fine enough for me I think. There's plenty of Pokemon there to choose from. The Verdant Artes, I plan on having the scores being tied to a Focus Bar that fills on screen, based on how much of that score you have. But, at the moment, the invisible counter is basically a placeholder, until I can program in the Focus Meter. As for the level cap, I just increased it, because I was unsure about where the player would be at the end of the game, in terms of level. The final boss is level 100, but all superbosses are around 150, including the Elite Four and Champion while they are at 110 - 120. The game's length allows for me to apply an increased cap, but I mostly did that because I was unsure about the final levels of the player, by the endgame. But, I know Tales of... well, all the Tales games actually, go up to level 255, but most anyone never really gets there, because you would need x10 EXP to reach it and be in New Game+. And yeah, I feel like I should modify the original, because looking at it now, I prefer the old title more, since it gives the feel that I wanted it have. But, I'm just not sure how to add in the Verdant Tales part of it though. Like, how it should be designed into the original title. Input on that would be cool.
  21. So, I know I haven't done much of a serious map or gameplay update, pertaining to my game as of late, but a lot of the new additions that I've added haven't been recording worthy, and sometimes I just haven't been in the mood for it. However, I did add in a few new things: Also, Happy Thanksgiving to my American readers, and for those over in Europe, well... Happy End of November I guess XD Gen 7 Battle Items have been programmed into the game. Alolan Ninetales and Mimikyu are the only Alolan Pokemon in the game, and they are only used by Dreyah Haven and Tara Bloom. Sorry guys, just because a new Pokemon game comes out, doesn't mean I'm going to add them in. It just seems unecessary. Maybe for the sequel, like 2 or 3 years, when Gen 8 is around Or maybe post-game. Major battle mechanics have been improved, and I've made the Verdant Artes now usable based on a score value that is hidden away, and once that score value hits 75 - 100, you can use a Verdant Arte or Dual Tech. These scores are gained by taking damage and dealing damage respectively. Each hit is calculated as such: sqr-root rounded down of damage + this Pokemon level - opponent's level / this pokemon's level = verdantscore. I did this so that way Verdant Artes are as dissimilar to Z-Moves as possible, because I will never have my children dance in such a silly and stupid way. Added in select Gen 7 moves and TM's that I really cared about putting in. I might add in more, but really... it's not necessary. It's a lot of busywork that I don't care for at the moment. Added in character specific equip items called: Fusion Blades and Aura Sabre. The Fusion Blades are exclusive only Greninja and Vivian, and they enhance all of Greninja's "ninja attacks" by 30% while increasing critical chance by 1. The Aura Sabre doubles all of Lucario's Aura-based attacks, and gives a +1 crit chance. This also coincides with Grenina's Namirian Scarf item, which boosts evasion by 20% and allows for a 10% chance of perfectly dodging any attack, even moves that have perfect accuracy. Couple that with Vivian and Greninja's synchronize and you got a pretty powerful combination. Maximum level has been increased to 150, only for the sole reason of... well... the game is incredibly long, and just for the sake of insurance, and if people actually get to level 100, there is something at least past that. So, for the most part, I might leave it at 150, depending on people's max level's by the end game. Because this game is long. So far, actually I've clocked in about 60 hours, by the time I got Allan and Hiro Monochroma in my team. Admittedly though, I was grinding, so there is a possibility of getting to them much earlier than that. Elite Four now have most of their respective overworld sprites, with Tara being the only one with a unique animation, because she's just that awesome Also having the honor of being the first Trainer sprited by the amazing Nova, to have an in-battle animation. Ability Matrix has started to get worked on again, after putting the project on hiatus, because of horrible pacing with my work on the game. But, anywho, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. For those of you over in Europe, good luck on your exams and shiz, and whatever else you guys got going on over there, and I'll keep you all posted on new stuff!
  22. So, I beat Pokemon Moon, yadadadada, and I have an update for today. Well, more of a preferential question to my readers. Do you all prefer this style of Title Card for my game, in terms of font, or the original, custom font that was used, in the main thread? Also, I am now debating about changing the name of my game to Verdant Tales: Symphonic Horizon, instead of just... Symphonic Horizon. This was made by one of my friends, and it does get across what I wanted the font title card to convey, but I wanted to know what you all thought.
  23. For the constant Frame Rate debate that people like talking about, this article I'd recommend reading: http://amo.net/NT/02-21-01FPS.html

...Then there's people like me who don't care about frame rate unless it's severely laggy.

      I'll take a stable 30FPS over a choppy 60FPS any day.

I play on both PC and console, and while I do prefer 60FPS; I will say I can understand why some games on consoles are limited to 30FPS.

I frequently cap certain games on my PC to 30FPS or so; for the sake of eliminating any level of frame drop which most games inevitably have due to poor coding.

I personally don't care what FPS I play at is, so long as I can play the game. Also if the game isn't running like freaking molasses.
