  1. Well, the good news is my dad made it through surgery, but will now remain at the hospital for about a week or so. I'm just glad that he's made it through that whole mess and his hip can finally get replaced.
  2. Progress with the remaking of ever cutscene in the game, so far, it's been going really well! Going through and editing every line of dialogue and remaking every move route might sound really hard, but... strangely I've already completed several old scenes and added in the new character gestures and even finished the entire Hydro Sanctuary's new jump puzzle with Marissa's jump animation programmed in! So far, I think that's a plus. And I even get 2 days off from work, so that's good! However my dad is getting surgery today, which... is not so good, since there is a high chance that... well, yeah... Anyways, I've been working hard at including new features into the game, while adjusting old stuff to make it updated and new I could estimate that by the end of this week about 20% of the cutscenes will be remastered and ironed out, completely. I've got plenty of time to spare, since most of what I've been working on so far has been literally nothing of value, like editing old interior houses and stuff. So, a remastering of the entire game's dialogue and move route's sounds like the way to go, at the moment. Also, there will be 2 new costumes that will be added in, next month. They are the Next Dimension clothes, and formal attire. And that SHOULD be all for costumes. After that, there will be no more mention of costumes, aside from the Christmas and Halloween set which still need to be accounted for. Also, this be my jam for the day:
  3. Apparently Mighty No. 9 is incredibly underwhelming, and Bloodstained is fantastical like I'd expect it to be.

I actually donated quite a bit to bloodstained myself about £90 I believe so it's safe to say that I'm super hyped I always loved all the castlevania games especially the "metroidvania" ones favourite being dawn of sorrow

I'm a huge fan of SOTN, so Bloodstained has my seal of approval, especially since I put about 200 into backing it.

  4. Well... my dad is going in for surgery on Tuesday, and there is a chance that he could pass away... Just when I thought my life couldn't get anymore rough and unfair.

I lost my dad because of surgery. You might want to reserve some blood packs before the surgery cause that was my first mistake.

  5. I don't really read fanfiction, so I don't really know what you're talking about XD But, the name of the Vaporeon is a placeholder, because when I first started my game I didn't know the difference between the Internal Names and the In-Game names. So, it's name being Aqua will be changed back to Vaporeon. My favorite has to be the Monochroma Sibling's theme. Allan and Hiro have their own Trainer battle music, fun-fact, as opposed to the normal Trainer battle music that is universal across all of the characters, except Hiro and Allan. Also, Marissa has some hops!
  6. Nahhhh, there are so many instances of that in the entire game that it would take me forever to find every single line. Also, all the costumes are now in the game! This exhibition showcases all of the costumes that are currently available in Symphonic Horizon. Vice has the most, but every character will have at least 6 or 7 costumes. So, for now most of the characters have 4 which includes their base clothes. And at the end of the video, I will be showcasing the new in-battle conversations that can occur in certain battles in the game. Also, depending on if you're in a double battle, certain characters can have conversations with one another.
  7. If you thought that was impressive, wait till you see this This here is the Chapter 1 Page for, well, Chapter 1 of the Symphonic Horizon Manga. The first volume is estimated to have about 6 chapters or so, and covers the events all the way up to Relia Island or the end of the Hydro Sanctuary. Which, only Masquerain knows about, since she played an early version of my game, which is outdated heavily now. The area that you see, in question is Dawn Beach - Road to Dawn: Graveyard The map is actually this dark, when you enter it. Right now it appears to look like it's day time, but in-game it's... quite dark: Speaking of new stuff, here is the improved Hydro Sanctuary - Waterway. This version of the waterway has a new puzzle mechanic to it, where there are several levers placed throughout the waterway that you need to switch on or off. Depending on the positioning of the lever, will determine which platforms in the water will be raised. Without doing this, you will not be able to utilize Marissa's Jumping abilities to their fullest, and will not be able to progress. The old Waterway, ewww... it doesn't even look like a waterway, it looks more like a lake with too much going on in it. Also, bad allocation of space, and it being wayyyyy too large. The puzzles in the 1st Sanctuary of the game are quite easy, and since it is the beginning of the game they shouldn't be hard at all. It's mainly showing off the new form of navigation and the introduction to character specific abilities. Later on though, things get... quite challenging puzzle-wise in the Sanctuaries.
  8. I've seen some trailers of the new Pokemon game, and the Rumble Battle, which is pretty cool, imo. More hand holding is going to make Pokemon even more eye-rolly, which... I don't really know how to feel about, in Sun/Moon, but whatev's; I'm still gonna buy it. But, other than that, I don't care much for the other stuff that was shown, except for certain games, but eh, modern gaming is not my thing anymore, really. Especially when most games nowadays lack taste and substance. Yeah, I remember you mentioning that, but thankfully, I've redone the entire waterway, and made it even more of a puzzle than before. But, it's a pretty simple puzzle to start the game off on. But, I'm sure you'll enjoy reading the new page of the Symphonic Horizon manga, which now has text, and edits galore! When all of the first 7 pages are fully edited like this one, I will post all seven on the main thread as well as in a future post, so that way you guys can read up on it, and expect what is to come ;D By the way, for those of you wondering, what is all that weird stuff where Hiro's at? She's having a dream of the Time Stream, which she is in charge of maintaining. What you're seeing is a metaphysical representation of the Time Stream. By the way, the Time Stream has nothing to do with the plot, it's just characterization for Hiro.
  9. Today was one of those days where I really did need to cry it out. And I'm glad I did. I feel much better, now.

  10. Before I say anything: I've actually had some decent time to work on my game Yooooooooooooooooooooo, so I did some programming on my half-day off from work, and I managed to insert several new bits of programming into the world map. Most of which you won't normally be able to notice, but, one of them is for Vice's Verdant Transformation, in that after a certain amount of time, bio-electricity will radiate around him. It's on a timer, and it's a nice little detail to Vice's Verdant form. Secondly, I added in some new features to the battle system, which will be used at later points in the story. More on that later. Lastly, screenshots of work in progresses. The Hydro Sanctuary's Waterway actually now looks like a Waterway, rather than some giant room with way too much going on in it: New, enhanced Casino Tiles that have resulted in a brand new Casino area: And Renma City: Other than that, new news for Gen 7, woohoo! And E3, which... I haven't had time to watch, but at the same time: I don't care for modern gaming, so meh.
  11. I've been actively trying not to see new Sun and Moon spoilers ^^; but, low and behold I do at least know what nekkoala is, and yes... it is adorbs XD Butt, update: I've been super busy with work, doing doubles almost every other day, and have been working on my game for a few hours when I get back at night. But, the money is nice, so it's all worth it in the end ^^ One project that I've been doing as of right now, is getting the story moving with new events and stuff, while also remaking old maps that were made around the time of the game's beginnings. So, yeah, this is one of the maps that is being improved. It's still being worked on, so bare with me: I've also been putting in a lot of time towards the manga of the game, which has been progressing quite well. I will be posting the links to the 7 preview pages, once they are inked, with text, and finalized.
  12. I've been refusing to keep up with the Pokemon news, so that way I'm not spoiled on new content, but at the same time... I don't even know!

  13. Soooooooooooooo, for those of you who're wondering about the manga, once again, new pages have come out, once again. One of them is the chapter cover, and the other is a new page. And once again, I'm going to reiterate a point: there will only be 7 pages available to the public to read, the rest of the pages afterwards will only be part of the physical or ebook copy of the manga, provided by my artist. Which means, yes, you will have to pay for it. Them's the breaks. Also, if I don't update for a few days at a time, then that means that I've been incredibly busy with irl work and whatnot. Also, I've been increasingly busy on other things as well, because... finances and shiz.
  14. Yes, I would like to adopt the two of them like PUPPIES from a kennel! After all, everything can be bought and sold for the right oil!

  15. Here is another new update, I'm on a roll at the moment, this is the new video in question that showcases the new beginning of battle dialogue, as well as the new battle transition that was edited by me: So, as opposed to the older battle transition, this one was heavily inspired by the Tales series' battle transitions. Currently, I am still trying to edit the transition to be a lot more... good XD Also, at the beginning of battles there will be dialogue that will play out, depending on certain parameters. A better explanation is above this current post.
  16. As a follow-up to the recent post, I've almost finished the new capital city of the game, and this is what I've done so far: Also, as a side-note: I've created new battle dialogue, which essentially works the same way it does in the Tales Series. This new inclusion is the start of battle dialogue, where a character has several things to say at the start of fights, such as: Vice: Holy cow! <------ Battling against a Pokemon whose weight is greater than or equal to 600, and being over 7 ft tall. Vice: Let's go all out! Vice: This is gonna be tough... <--- Battling a Pokemon whose level is greater than your own. All 6 characters have several phrases that they can say at the start of a battle, each of which is unique to their own personalities. However, I did not include Super Effective and Not Very Effective response phrases out of them. Mainly because something like that is extremely annoying to program, and I don't wish to have another Time Skip problem. If you don't know what I mean, I basically had to resort to asking for help, for programming Allan's Time Skip ability. And I eventually found out how to do it, myself, after 5 or so hours of fiddling around with the code. In short: not fun. Also, just in case no one has yet seen this: Update: So, all of the Tales costumes are now finished, and have been inserted into the game The video below will show you what I mean ;D Vivian's Costume represents Suzu Fujibayashi's costume from Tales of Phantasia. Hiro's Costume represents Pascal's costume from Graces. Krista's Costume is Elize Lutus' costume from Xillia. Allan's Costume is Yuri Lowell's Costume from Vesperia. Also, the flashing that you see with Allan's Pokemon is due to Allan's Time Skip ability, which has a 10% chance of him going first. In the story however, it makes him and his Pokemon move 5/10th's of a second through time. It's Allan's only method of Time Manipulation, as opposed to Hiro's "technical" control over it. I say that in quotes, since it's against the laws of nature to use any form of "drastic" Time Manipulation, like going back in time, stopping time, or time traveling in general, where it's not needed.
  17. Update: So, all of the Tales costumes are now finished, and have been inserted into the game The video below will show you what I mean ;D That's right! Now, specific Tales characters will be able to represent their specific games! Currently, the only Tales costumes available are for Vice and Marissa, Lloyd Irving and Colette Brunel, respectively. New inclusions, since the last update are: Vivian's Costume represents Suzu Fujibayashi's costume from Tales of Phantasia. Hiro's Costume represents Pascal's costume from Graces. Krista's Costume is Elize Lutus' costume from Xillia. Allan's Costume is Yuri Lowell's Costume from Vesperia. 18. HA! I AM BORING CAN YOU MAKE ME GLAD?

  19. Here's a little work in progress that I've been doing for the past day or so, since I received the new tiles. This is Renma, the Capital City of the Northern (or 2nd) Continent of the game. And just to clarify, "continent" /= "region," as each continent is still a part of the main region that they comprise. If you're wondering what the heck is up with all the empty space, it's because this is still a work in progress, and it will be finished soonish. The map is nowhere near completion, and I am still working with some stuff in it, so don't see some of the things in there and think that will be included (looks at the awkward bridge to the far east of the map >.> )
  20. I guess it's just an opinion thing, I actually don't mind them ;D So, here are some screenshots of some of the tiles which I commissioned awhile ago. Now, I know what a lot of you are going to say about the style of tiles, and bare with me on this: I will be having my tiler/spriter do an up-res on these tiles, since I mainly wanted to purchase these tiles as a future reference for that person to go off of, and improve. So, for now they look pretty... basic XD These tiles were styled in a 1x1 format, and not the standard 2x2 that is present in my game, which... is quite a bit of a no-no, so I'll be having the tiles up-resed and improved to fit the overall style of the game. For now, though, they are placeholders, for improvement. And, the improvements will bring about some new swag and shtuff ;D Renma Casino - Get out your Poké (the currency in the Symphonic Horizon Universe) and get ready to gamble, because there be some slots and a whole lot of stuff that you underage kids shouldn't be doing! In this casino, you can do all the things you normally could do in the normal games, however... there be some lotteries that you can invest in... and lose (and they are just as stupidly rigged and impossible as they are IRL). Renma Chapel - Bell Tower: So yeah, a chapel in the capital city of Renma (the capital of the 2nd continent) and one of the few places where people go to worship, and shiz. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm sure you get where this is going and whatnot. The 2nd Continent is a lot more religious than the 1st one, by a long shot!
  21. Yo shiggy-diggy what's up my sizzles?! So. New stuff and whatnot coming out next week, and they will be quite the doozies. Actually, scratch that, tomorrow there will be 3 new sets of tiles being created and all of them will be for very specific areas of the game, and I will no longer have to use stupid placeholder graphics, anymore, thankfully ^^ I have been in a bind as of late, in terms of progressing the story, because of lack of special tiles, but thankfully that will all be fixed, tomorrow. That said, my schedule has been kind of... busy, because of my 3 job schedule that I have to deal with ^^; But, the money is coming, and half-way through the month, I will have enough money to pay off all of the commissions that have piled up, in one go! It might suck for now, but it's unfortunately my only way out at the moment ^^; I spent a good while improving old maps of mine, to help increase overall quality of gameplay, and whatnot, and this so happens to be one of the older maps that I made 2 or so years ago: The homes of specific characters have been improved in quality, so that way they don't look like generic NPC rooms: Krista's House: Marissa's Room:
  22. With Pokemon Sun and Moon and all of it's water, I wonder how IGN will score this game in the series...

  23. Update: Ohio! I haven't posted much as of late, and because of that I've taken a week off to do stuff and whatnot. Butt, I've also made quite a lot of headway, event-wise, and am now past the S.S. Valeria part of the game, and now onto the newer and cooler stuff of the game. New tiles have been created, and completely original tiles and areas have now been introduced. That said, a lot of tiles in the game will be receiving an up-res and will be changed to fit 1 style, as opposed to the thousands of tile styles there are. That said however, 2 new pages of the manga have been finished, and 2 more are on their way. The 2 finished pages don't have text, however, but will either today or tomorrow. Anyways, 2 new pages currently being story-boarded: Also, if anyone is gonna comment on less long scenes with dialouge in the manga adaptation, it's because that's what manga's do. The art tells the story. So a lack of super-extensive dialogue is par for the course. Also, I know this is gonna get a lot of people riled up in their jimmy's, but I need you to read this. There will only be 6-7 pages available for normal people on the internet to read. So, these upcoming pages will be the last that anyone will see, unless you purchase the manga from my artist. The justification here is this: My manga artist puts a lot of hard work into this manga, and every page takes a lot of effort to make. A lot more effort than it takes for me to make a map, or really anything with a game. If there's anyone who deserves payment for anything fan-related, it's her and this manga. This manga requires more labor than anything that I've done, and I've watched her meticulously work at just 1 page. It takes her several days to make each page perfect. Plus people sell Dojin's on Ebay and on their own websites all the time. The same thing goes for when people slap a Pokemon on a t-shirt, add in some stupid text of their stupid internet handle *cough* *cough* and sell it to people. So long as it isn't mass produced, there isn't anything wrong with it. We do not intend to ever mass produce the Symphonic Horizon Manga, and will only sell it on her website, Ebay and at conventions that she will be attending. That said, my game is free and always will be. I will not stoop to that level.
