  1. Looking at your team, my immediate thought is leading with Vulpix to set up Hail and Aurora Veil. Once it dies (hopefully not before setting up Aurora Veil), switch into Seel and start setting up Stockpiles. A Berry Juice can help with this. Ideally, you'd want to become defensive enough to take four hits. Once you've set up Stockpiles, you'll want to Rest. Since you're most likely going to be slower, you'll heal to full after being hit (so it doesn't count towards the four). The first two hits are while you're asleep. The third hit is when you wake up and use Aurora Beam (since we need to get attacks in somewhere). The fourth hit is using Rest again. As you can imagine, this strategy has a couple of problems. The first is that getting crit at all completely destroys the strategy, since it'll ignore your Stockpile boosts. The second is whether or not this strategy is even possible. I don't know how bulky your Seel is or if it would even survive at max bulk. If you want to post your save file, I could take a look at what you have available.
  2. Considering you didn’t say where in the quest you are, that isn’t an easy question to answer. I’ll try to decipher based on what you said, though. Considering you said “continue from older versions,” I’m going to assume you completed (or at least think you completed) the part from V11. In that case, you would find her in her house. Since she isn’t there, it’s either a bug or you didn’t finish the part from V11. I would guess you have not explored Wispy Tower with Narcy yet.
  3. Goldenleaf Town. I believe he’s in the house next to the truck guy. After asking him, go back to the museum.
  4. Do you have Patch 1 installed? If you do, it'll say so in the bottom left when you open your save (see image in spoiler). If not, you can download it from the V12 thread. The first post contains a download for the patch, instructions for how to patch it, and a changelog mentioning the hanging script was fixed. If you do have Patch 1, then the hanging script wasn't as fixed as they though and you'll have to wait for another patch to re-fix it.
  5. I’m pretty sure the text is just a bug. The reward for the trade quest is a Rare Candy. The bugged text also indicates that’s the quest it’s referring to.
  6. It was for trading Aipom for a Pancham (named Pancha, I believe).
  7. It’s a side quest. If I recall correctly, you start by going back through Narcissa’s gym puzzle. It’ll take you to a different room. That will start the quest. After finishing that section, you’ll need to do a help request in West Gearen. I believe it’s called Generator Problems. You should be able to work it out from there.
  8. Yes. It’s a requirement for completing Narcissa’s quest. You’ll see why when you get to the point that requires it.
  9. In V11, I made a guide for beating her on Intense with no items and using only Pokemon found on Terajuma. Regardless of what you may or may not have, it's possible to beat her. For those two, I used Pyukumuku (and to an extent Toucannon). I would highly recommend replacing Pyroar with Pyukumuku. Pyukumuku can be found on the beach as static encounters. You'll want to Reverse Candy it to 16 for Counter at 17. Trumbeak is found in the jungle during the morning. Upon evolution, it learns Beak Blast. I used it to burn the Floatzel before it died, then went back into Pyukumuku. Pyukumuku then proceeded to stall while Valarie wasted her items on a Floatzel that was slowly killing itself. For more information, I'll leave a link to the guide.
  10. You aren’t scripted to lose. It just doesn’t matter (too much) if you lose. Winning gets you a relationship point with Melia and some different dialogue. If you want, you can go to Luck’s tent to change the difficulty to Easy. At that point, you just need to Yawn the first turn, then use four Ancient Power (three turns of sleep). Afterwards, you can change the difficulty back. This is what I did on Intense, because otherwise the fight is nearly impossible. Regarding changing difficulty, the first change is free. I don’t know if changing the difficulty has a different fee for each one, but it cost 3 Blue Shards to change it to Intense. You can find these hidden around Gearen, though you’ll want to use the item guide.
  11. That's for the reply. I have a couple of more relevant questions.
  12. When the Interceptor dies, they get revived. To what extent is the body restored and does restoration only occur upon death? For instance, suppose the Interceptor lost an arm, then died two days later. Would they be revived with the arm, without the arm, or would the arm have already been restored?
  13. Since the error only occurs when debug is enabled, try commenting/removing sections that only occur if debug is enabled. If the error persists, it’s somewhere else. If the error goes away, the problem was in what you removed. You can work from there. That’s what I do when my code has issues.
  14. My understanding is that gender is a spectrum that humans use to identify themselves with. Gender is present only in humans. When identifying animals, make or female is referred to as their sex. Humans also have a biological sex, but can identify as any part of the gender spectrum. As for the silver person being androgynous, I’d assume that’s what xe is canonically (if xe were an NPC instead of the player), but you can still choose the gender you want. Don’t quote me on any of this. As I said, this is just my understanding. I could be completely wrong.
  15. Where do we find that out? Edit: Never mind. I found it. For those who are also wondering:
  16. Clearly they’re under attack by hackers due to being on an unsecured network. They need to pay $500 to an Indian scam center Microsoft to have the hackers removed and get a firewall.
  17. It isn’t a bug. You just need to read the field effects manual. Rock attacks (and certain others) gain a random typing of Fire, Water, Grass, or Psychic. It isn’t super effective against Trumbeak because it gained the Grass typing.
  18. I guarantee you selected “Huh?” in response to her question when returning from the alternate future. She asks if you remember anything. If you answer “Yeah!”, you gain a relationship point with her. If you answer “Huh?”, you’re supposed to lose a point, but a bug instead sets it to -1. If you have 0 or less, Melia doesn’t trust you.
  19. I have several Pokemon in storage that I swap between, but my most common ones are Sawk, Crobat, Pyukumuku, Lopunny, Dusk Lycanroc, Hariyama, Yanmega, and Gardevoir. Some others that I've used somewhat often or brought in for specific battles are Pyroar, Vanilluxe, Electrode, and Mawile. (Electrode was especially helpful against Souta and Zetta/Geara.)
  20. Unless you count the few trainers in the sewers, I don't think so. There is a strategy you can try with some low-level Pokemon. The first thing you need is something with Heat Wave, Blast Burn, Eruption, or Lava Plume. If you have something in your box that can put Garbodor to sleep or paralyze it (to buy a turn), the Fire user can be of any level. This will ignite the cave and deal damage to both Pokemon equal to half their maximum health. It also turns the field into a Cave, so the Garbodor won't heal at the end of each turn. If you can use it, another one of those moves will turn it into a Volcanic Field, which will deal damage at the end of each turn. Keep in mind that Garbodor can turn the field back into Corrupted Cave (from either Cave or Volcanic) with Sludge Wave, but you should be able to get it at that point with a bit of luck. An alternative strategy if you can keep it in the Cave long enough is collapsing the cave. Earthquake, Bulldoze, and Magnitude collapse the cave after two uses, fainting all active Pokemon. Worst case scenario, you may just have to load a save from before you went to West Gearan.
  21. I don't think the Puppetmaster did it to kill them, but instead needed them there for something. Remember, Alice and Allen are also there. When we meet the Puppetmaster, we were told that they would be important later. Maybe they'll somehow stop the explosion from killing everyone? It's hard to say, but that's four people placed there by the Puppetmaster.
  22. Personally, I play Intense, Set, No Items. The change from Normal to Intense on its own would ramp up the difficulty quite a bit. Changing it to Set on its own wouldn't cause too much of a difference, since it just means one Pokemon takes a bit of damage. If you're playing with items, that doesn't mean much. Without items, though, both make the game a lot more difficult and require different strategies. I wouldn't recommend playing that as a Nuzlocke, though.
  23. You’re stranded on Terajuma with no way to get home. You can’t even move freely around the island because you don’t know how to swim. Your only hope is to defeat Valarie in order to learn how to Surf. There’s just a slight problem: you have no Pokemon that will be useful against Water-types. Fortunately, after observing the local wildlife, I’ve determined that it’s possible to defeat her with only Pokemon found on the island and I’m going to prove it. After losing to Melia until she bankrupted me, I finally beat her and she gave me $2460. Unfortunately, I forgot to heal afterwards, so I lost to Sam and Alex. They took $1920 from me, leaving me with a mere $540. (Note that V11 is bugged here. Losing to them has you return to the battleship healing station, but the ship is docked and the scene that follows the fight is skipped.) Due to our low amount of cash, we need to find a way to sort out our money situation. Meet Foongus, the local “goldmine.” They can be found in the jungle during the day and have a 50% chance of holding a TinyMushroom. To get it, though, we’ll need a Pokeball. Fortunately, the battleship has a shop on it. Spend $200 on a Pokeball and go catch a Foongus that’s holding a TinyMushroom. You can then sell the TinyMushroom at the shop for $250! That’s a $50 profit! Repeat until you have as much money as you need. If you wanted to, I guess you could also battle Tourist Johnathan. Beating him gives you $3444. That’s the worth over 68 Foongus! Our next task is to catch the Pokemon we need for this battle. The Pokemon we’ll be catching are Pyukumuku, Geodude, Spinarak, Trumbeak, Morelull, and Bibarel. Be very careful after catching them, as we’ll want to EV train them to give us the best odds. Fortunately, Terajuma offers a variety of Pokemon we can EV train with. Let’s start with Pyukumuku. You can find them along the shore. At Level 30, they have Purify, Curse, Gastro Acid, and Block. Unfortunately, we’ve already missed Counter, so we’ll need to buy some Reverse Candy; 14 to be exact. They cost $50 each, so that’s $700 total. Level it down to 16 so it can learn Counter upon re-leveling to 17. The next Pokemon we’ll be going for is Toucannon. Trumbeak can be found in the jungle, but only during the morning. They can be found at Level 33-34. Though not necessary, I leveled it down to 20 for Roost at 21. That’s another $650-700 of Reverse Candy. Rock Smash my look like a weird move on Toucannon, but it’s actually required. Time to get Geodude. On the shore are some rocks that can be broken with Rock Smash. Doing so has a chance of spawning a Geodude. Get it to Level 36 before evolving it so it learns Explosion. Ariados is next on the list. Spinarak are only found in the jungle at night. They’re found at Level 33-34. We want to bring it down to Level 25 for Sucker Punch at 26. That’s another $400-450 worth of Reverse Candy. I evolved mine at Level 40 Pin Missile and Psychic, but they aren’t necessary. Shiinotic is another night Pokemon. Morelull is found at 33-34. I waited until Level 39 to evolve it. The last required Pokemon is Bibarel. It can be found in the morning or during the day. Do what you like with it. Now that we have the Pokemon we want, it's time to train them. I don't know how required EVs are, but I wanted to give the best chance at winning. With everyone trained, it's time to take on Valarie! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ta4kdaIgMys
  24. I really like the team Keta uses in Amethyst Grotto. It's full of memories from his journey in Aevium. I don't know what his teams are on Easy or Normal, but Intense went like this: Lucario - His first Pokemon. He left for Aevium with it. Tessie (Lapras) - Given to him as an egg by his family when he left Four Island for Aevium. Ninetales - Given to him by Tesla as a Vulpix when he left for Sheridan. Gabite - Found in Carotos Mountain while looking for a place to rebuild Sheridan. Roselia - Found near Vivian's Tree, where he and Taelia were married. Musharna - One of Taelia's Pokemon. I feel as though it should be her Gallade, but that would probably be brutal for the player to fight.
  25. I've found eight of the kids. According to the V9 guide, there is one east of Akuwa Town. I've been searching for over an hour and can't find it. Was this one moved or have I just somehow been repeatedly missing it?
