  1. Alright, so i remember there was this girl at the Docks of Blackview City who wanted a Sawsbuck (or was it Gogoat?), i kinda postponed the quest while i played the rest of the episode, so I don't really remember, but where can I catch this Sawsbuck (or whatever she wanted)? Also for Caz, just wanted to say I really enjoyed the episode, especially the choices and different endings. Even though I didn't get the 'perfect' ending, I am still satisfied with the ending I got as I feel it really fits with the darker tone the story seems to be getting. One small question for the future, should we expect a Mega Ring anytime soon or will it be post-game? Just wondering if I should start training up potential mega candidates or wait till I have more options. I also like how we are getting access to competitive items like AV (AV Tangrowth is a lord js) and Leftovers albeit at a decently high price.
  2. Just wondering, is there any way to get back to an earlier save to try and get a different ending?
  3. Yeah i redownloaded, the dentist thing is fixed. Found one other interesting thing, one trainer in the Mystic Mansion has a Floette and for some reason whenever I try to attack it with any of my mons (I tried switching) I get the "The [Attack name] was blocked by the kicked-up mat" message, which is the message from Mat Block if I am not mistaken. I basically can't touch it, which is slightly game-breaking. UPDATE: I reloaded and tried the fight again, didn't happen this time. The trainer was the first on the second floor who says something about sssssssunglasses.
  4. Finally got round to playing Episode 2, enjoying it so far. Two bugs I encountered though: 1. I can just walk over the Dentist's office as if it is a normal floor tile. 2. The move Tutor which is supposed to be free can be used when I don't have any Heart Scales, but when I do have them she does take them after teaching a mon a move.
  5. Oh yeah on the subject of setup mons, Shell Smash Minior and SD Mimikyu are both pretty good. Minior in its first form has the bulk to take a hit and set up a shell smash, white herb can take away the debuffs and make acrobatics better. Acrobatics +EdgeQuake is great coverage. Sash is another option. Mimikyu is basically guaranteed to get off a free SD because of its ability, Fairy/Ghost is a great offensive combination and it has Shadow Sneak too, a pretty good late game cleaner. Also Sash sounds pretty troll, to take a guaranteed two hits. Overall this meta is very interesting, after the dust settles the meta will become more clear (and probably less offensive), but I'm having fun for now (even though I refuse to use Pheromosa, Aegislash and Genesect, which might be a slight handicap).
  6. Let's see, Pheromosa, Aegislash and Genesect are probably going straight (back) to Ubers. For things that I like using: Celesteela, a SpDef set with Leech Seed, Protect, Flamethrower and Heavy Slam is amazing at checking well a lot of things, it's like Skarmory but with better Spdef and less Def and no roost, but Leech Seed is pretty good. Flamethrower hits things like Ferro and Scizor while Heavy Slam destroys Fairies. [OU] Alolan Marowak, this thing actually surprised me, but with Lightning Rod it checks all electrics so well because it resists all their coverage options, it can also check things like Scizor and Pheromosa and with an Adamant nature, 252 EV's and Thick Club it hits like a truck. Fire, Ghost, Ground is only resisted by Hydreigon so it is actually pretty hard to switch in to. [Won't be OU, but is definitely viable in OU] Tapu Bulu, whether it is CB or LO SD, this thing hits like a truck and there are pretty much no entirely safe switchings aside from Defensive Skarmory (which still takes a ton from Banded Superpower), Grassy Terrain is also pretty nice for things like SubCM Raikou and ZardX, it takes away their EQ weakness and the recovery can help to set up on things. [OU for sure]
  7. Seems to be a trend here about not failing classes, I'd have to follow this trend. It would be something like 'When you get to University, stop thinking about what you don't want and start being realistic, learn to study'.
  8. Are we talking about theoretical combinations or about existing mons. I'll just assume the former. Let's see, Ghost/Fighting would be amazing offensively (defensively it's not bad either, just nothing special). I really like Ice, sadly it's garbage defensively, however it's good offensively, Ice/Electric is amazing offensive coverage (BoltBeam is pretty popular), I would like to see a good offensive Ice/Electric type mon someday. I also really like Dark, Dark/Dragon is pretty good offensively (see Hydreigon) and still packs some nice resists, just avoid Fairies like the plague. Let's see, Defensively Ghost/Steel is pretty good as demonstrated by Aegislash, a Ghost/Steel type with Levitate would be amazing (and probably Ubers if it has half-decent stats). Dragon/Steel would be strong defensively as well (offensively it would be hard-walled by steel types barring coverage, Earthquake is a pretty common coverage option however, so a potential Steel/Dragon might get it). Normal/Ghost would be amazing as well. Hmm, out of these I would like to see Ice/Electric and Ghost/Fighting the most I think, followed by a new Ghost/Normal and maybe something with Dark. Ooh, a better Poison/Dark would be cool (Drapion has some issues).
  9. Gonna get a Rowlet, name it Robin Hood or Takumi or something, then box it when I can catch the mons I want.
  10. Yeah Mantine is gonna be a top-tier Defogger in OU now. Dodrio might replace Talonflame as an offensive bird too.
  11. I didn't read the 'officially released' part, I apologize for my earlier post then, but it seems it has already been deleted. Anyway as far as officially released mons go, I like Alolan Sandslash since Sandslash was one of my favorite 1st gen pokemon (along with mons like Cloyster and Clefable, come to think of it I think I liked spikes as a kid or something, because my favorite 2nd gen is Tyranitar) and Ice is my favorite type. I do like Alolan Ninetales as well, I just wonder if Hail got a buff that boosts Ice-type moves, otherwise it's kinda inferior to normal Ninetales. I also like Salandit (its evo hasn't been officially announced yet right?) design-wise and the Corrosion ability is pretty cool, even though it is probably worse in practice than on paper, but I like abilities like these because they create interesting niches for pokemon which is important with the amount of pokemon there currently are (and there will be more in future generations). I also think Wishiwashi's Schooling form was pretty well done, so that one is cool. Oh and Alolan Marowak, I liked the original Marowak as well and this is an interesting typing and pretty cool design.
  12. I found another bug btw, using Sticky Web gives an error message and just skips your turn (the enemy still attacks normally), it doesn't do anything. --------------------------- Pokemon Spork --------------------------- Exception: NoMethodError Message: undefined method `stages' for nil:NilClass PokeBattle_MoveEffects:622:in `pbEffect' PokeBattle_MoveEffects:620:in `each' PokeBattle_MoveEffects:620:in `pbEffect' PokeBattle_Battler:3129:in `pbUseMove' PokeBattle_Battler:3128:in `logonerr' PokeBattle_Battler:3128:in `pbUseMove' PokeBattle_Battler:3361:in `pbProcessTurn' PokeBattle_Battler:3360:in `logonerr' PokeBattle_Battler:3360:in `pbProcessTurn' PokeBattle_Battle:2884:in `pbAttackPhase' This exception was logged in C:\Users\Eigenaar\Saved Games/Pokemon Spork/errorlog.txt. Press Ctrl+C to copy this message to the clipboard. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- EDIT: Oh and grass types getting hit by Sleep Powder, but I vaguely remember someone already said that earlier in this thread. If not, then now you know. Have also been able to walk ~1-2 steps into the trees west of Legend Dairy. I can also walk on the PokeMart in Aliora City, haven't been able to do that with the other PokeMarts so far. Oh and I can walk on the water next to the bridge to the Classic Park.
  13. I looked at the list, the one in the Forest of Feeling isn't mentioned while the swimming pool one is, both require Surf. Although the Forest of Feeling one can be obtained by walking over the lake/trees
  14. Thank you Btw, now that I think about it, in your bag it doesn't tell you how many marbles you have, and I can't think of a way to find out besides remembering it or noting down everytime you find one.
  15. Umm, I want to keep Mirror Coat, Destiny Bond and Safeguard. I think the other move was Charm, just delete that.
  16. Here it is and thank you. There's no rush since I'll probably only use it to cheese gym leaders for fun, and with how overleveled I am I don't really need to I think. Oh and it's a Wobuffet now, in box 1 of the PC. Game.rxdata
  17. Gina's interview is quite in-depth Jokes aside, looks pretty good. I had a few questions actually: 1. Is there any way to catch the Teddiursa with the moral dilemma or the Bulbasaur in the Forest of Feeling. 2. When will Mega Rings be available. 3. When I leveled Wynaut it did learn Mirror Coat, Safeguard and Destiny Bond but not Counter for some reason, when it is supposed to learn all 4 at the same level.
  18. Good luck with fixing the tiles. The TV idea sounds good, more puns are always welcome, plus interviews/events could give some insight into the history or the morals and values of the region.
  19. Pff,I should have probably written this down, but there are a few things I remember off the top of my head. I was able to walk onto the rocks near the bridge with the pokemon in the first city. I've been able to walk into the walls of basically all the civilian houses in all the villages (but not past them into the black area like with the ev rooms). I can walk on the trees near the entrance of the Forest Opening, I could also walk onto some trees between the first and second city I think but I don't remember which. I can walk onto the locked doors in the first city, but I do get the locked message then, still looks weird standing in the door. Umm, that's all I can remember right now. Hope it helps. EDIT: at the Forest of Feeling, if I walk all the way to the right I can get on top of the hill and just cross the entire map, I can also walk on the trees of the normally inaccessible areas. I can also walk onto the mountain behind the Teddiursa with a moral dilemma. Okay and I can walk onto the body of water and the trees near the water east of the Teddiursa (actually got the Marble this way which I assume I would have needed Surf for).
  20. Played for about two hours and this is looking pretty promising, I took nearly an hour just to choosing my starter. Eventually I just made a top 5 list and used a random choice generator. The tiles near the water bodies could use some work among other things, I can also walk on the 'black' part in the EV training rooms for some reason. But I'm starting to like this, keep it up! EDIT: Alright I played some more and I feel like I can give some more feedback now. -The tiles, as I've already mentioned, the part where land tiles go over into water tiles look rather weird, as do some of the rocky/mountain areas. I've also been able to walk onto locked doors (yes, onto) as well as closets, trees, walls and 'black' areas (basically off the map). Another small nitpick I have is that I can't interact with things like the televisions or trash bins, even if it's just a generic message like 'this trash bin looks to be empty', I feel like it adds to the immersion. -The indoor areas are very spacious, too much so, there is just a lot of unused room and it looks weird, especially when you compare it to how the buildings look from the outside. The first gym for example was way larger than it needed to be. On the other hand the routes between cities feel very small and insignificant, it doesn't really feel like a journey, more like crossing the street. I understand that the routes can't be too large because you would overlevel and you need to fit 18 gyms and a league within the level range, but I still feel like some work could be done here, perhaps a small puzzle or something. -Another thing is the level cap, or rather lack thereof. I think it would be a good idea to add one (based on badges ofcourse), it doesn't have to be as strict as in Reborn or Rejuvenation but it could still be a good addition to add some sort of difficulty. For example, I only use two of my favorite mons right now, Larvitar and Shellder, which is a terrible combination (slowpoke for example would have been a much better partner) because it stacks weaknesses and I didn't have anything that liked to take the Hidden Power in the first gym with Larvitar being weak to it and Shellder having a non-existant SpDef stat. The only reason I actually beat that gym is because I naturally overleveled with the exp lying around and using the Breeder to get my Shellder to catch up in level to Larvitar. On the other hand, I had a type advantage the second gym and it was a complete stomp. Again, this doesn't have to be as harsh and thus difficult as Reborn but just a little would be better for the game I think. -Aside from those points I do like the game, especially the little things like all the Library books (I read all of the titles and loved the references), or the quiz and the text of some of the NPC's. About the NPC's, I like the trainer classes and sprites a lot. I also like the ability to choose anything as your starter, there are some incredibly broken options in there (mons that only have 1 form can be rather broken early and some are still relevant later, or Dragon Rage which blows the early game out of the water) but with all these options most people will just choose their favorite (or make a list of favorites and use a random choice generator *cough*). I also like the alternate approach to the start of the story with the holiday. Overall, I'm enjoying this and it has potential, but there is a lot of polishing up that can be done.
