  1. Thank you and I agree that Excadrill is probably too powerful, but I like it too much not to use it. It's been criminally underused on my OU teams. To be honest, without a smooth rock you do need to have Sandstorm on Excadrill itself for Emily because you want to set up 3 Sword Dances so Rock Slide OHKO's Eelektross and Rotom-W cleanly and if you have someone else Sandstorm first it will run out after you take down one or two mons after all those sword dances.
  2. Alright, I finished the episode (as well as all the ranger quests and the fighing club, still got some sidequests left though) and I have to say, I frickin' love it. You made a really good game Caz, definitely on par with Reborn and Rejuvenation. Story-wise I like this one maybe even better, but what really stands out are all the interesting additions like the credit system, the Rangers guild, the Fighting Club and the Reputation system. In that game aspect this is even better. The spriting could still use some work but it's already pretty good. One thing I want to ask about is the exp flood this episode. Was that intended or a miscalculation? Because I went from a main team of 5 to a main team of 12 this episode due to overleveling, and aside from Yanmega that was before I even did the Fight Club and Bronze Island. The reason I am asking is because I am curious if you are going to be consistent in this or tone it down in newer episodes, because in my opinion it would be slightly lame for me to have trained up all these pokemon and then just have to ditch half of them or possibly more if I see something new that catches my fancy. Oh and giving Excadrill right before an Electric leader was perhaps not the smartest move, that thing almost solo'd her (if only I had a Smooth Rock). As for my team I am to lazy to make a screenshot, but I'll just list the ones level 50 and above: Crustle, Jynx, Tangrowth, Staraptor, Charizard, Walrein, Excadrill, Yanmega, Roserade, Magneton,Croagunk and Gigalith. As for one question, where are Boss's pokemon? I found Togekiss and Clefable already and I heard Wigglytuff is atop Silver Mountain, so that leaves Azumarill I think?
  3. Thank you, guess I need to do something or it appears at a certain time because it's empty now.
  4. Does anyone know what the cave in Adderfell Forest is for. I can't find anything there and haven't heard a single character talk about it yet.
  5. Oh really, I didn't know that. I would be suprised to see an ancient predecessor of Ditto though, what would that be? Like an amoeba or something, I don't know.
  6. Except Eevee was already confirmed to be the only original pokemon in Se7en, it was also said somewhere that Eevee had some importance in the storyline. I don't think another pokemon was said to be important in the storyline, so for now it's my best guess. As a distant extinct relative it doesn't even have to be an Eeveelution, just a predecessor or something. Although I would love to have a rock Eeveelution, in which case stats would probably be 95/110/130/60/65/65 or something. Oh well, we'll see, Ep 2 is up first. Edit: Also, there better be a poison eeveelution...
  7. I think the saber is gonna be a sabertooth tiger-like pokemon and I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say rock/electric with speed as its highest stat, attack as second highest and rather poor defenses. The axe fossil looks like a beak, so rock/flying maybe, or maybe rock/fighting, for some reason i got a gut feeling one of them is rock/fighting, but rock/flying seems more logical. Also about the third pokemon, it is related to a pokemon that is important in the story, could that be Eevee? Because I remember something about Eevee being important to the story, as that is the reason it is the only original pokemon in the game.
  8. Damn really, that sucks, I was kinda looking forward to our first gym triple battle, especially against that team. Double battle trick room could still be a thing, but the members might change up a little. Doubles is a lot slower so then we might see dragon dancers as well. Either way, it's gonna rock (like Hardy)
  9. I'm betting on his trick room triples team with Solrock, Tyranitar and Lunatone as leads, backed up by Gigalith, Rampardos and Rhyperior. It is quite an interesting concept for a mono rock team and it works pretty well, rock slide spam can sweep entire teams under trick room unless they have a wide guard spammer.
  10. Thanks again Oblivion. It was indeed a time thing and the event was quite interesting. The marks got me especially curious, I wonder if there are characters besides Narcissa who used one of them
  11. So I have two questions: First: I completed the ??? help request in Kristilline and rescued the move relearner, except she is teaching a class and tells me to wait, and her sister who previously worked as a move relearner tells me to wait as well. So basically I lost my move relearner, how do you get her to do her job as a move relearner again? Second: Dr. Jenkel gave me a hint about a secret in Narcissa's Gym and I looked around a bit on the internet and saw the hint "bookshelf" so I checked every bookshelf in the gym, found nothing though. Where do I find this "secret"?
  12. I haven't finished the game but I'll try to help. Played on Reborn difficulty btw because I liked reborn's level of challenge. Venam was way too easy, I am honestly curious why her pokemon were such a low level. At this point 4 of my pokemon were nearing the level cap and shadow duskull had enough xp to immediately go to level 18 after purifying, which I did immediately after the gym fight, and this was without any grinding at all, just the story and the help quests. I think her pokemon should be 3 levels higher, I believe her ace was 17 which should be 20 which is the level cap at that point. I mostly swept her with Trubbish and Growlithe, while I had a bloody Espeon. I tried to use Espeon as little as possible, only using it for her ace, but it could have probably killed 5 of her 6 mons by itself. Keta was also quite easy, I again tried to use espeon as little as possible but this time I used it to kill about half his mons in both fights. He doesn't seem to deal well with his counters, especially counters on the secondary types of his pokemon (i.e. Hawlucha doesn't have anything to deal with electric types it seems). Marianette and Narcissa were both great fights in my opinion, definitely challenging, but possible. The only thing I disliked is that a haunted field nerfs dark type attacks which seems thematically off. It is good for the difficulty, but it just seems so off that maybe it should be considered to remove or lessen that effect and make her stronger on other points, which I can't really think of right now, so I'll leave that up to you To be honest I don't think Valarie was all that overpowered, more ironic in how she gets destroyed by water pokemon herself. I let crawdaunt sword dance and it took out 3 of her pokemon. Even with the speed disadvantage a 5v3 is rather doable. Water type setup sweepers just kill her in general as long as you avoid Lanturne and Lapras. Ludicolo would probably be the best (if it is available, i think it is, but I am not sure) Crawli was pretty weak as well, Crobat absolutely destroyed him, I loved his signature move though, it gave him a tactical edge while keeping up his offensive momentum. I would love to see more signature moves like that. But he really needs more coverage moves to deal with his weaknesses. Angie was pretty strong, really strong actually, except she doesn't deal with steel types well. Like at all, Escavalier destroyed her after one sword dance. Hidden power Fire on some of her mons would be enough if she doesn't already have that. I haven't fought Amber yet, but I'll edit this post after I have. Edit; I defeated Amber now. Difficulty wise she is pretty strong, unless you use rain dance which trivializes the entire fight (maybe let some of her mons pack Sunny Day to counter that a bit?). Outside of the difficulty I think she was a bit boring because her fight was basically the same as Charlotte, a double battle with AoE fire attacks boosted by sun and the field effect. It would be more interesting if it was a different kind of battle. Maybe a singles battle where she focuses a bit more on the defensive side perhaps, though that doesn't really fit her personality well. Just throwing some ideas out there, but what about perhaps Torkoal as a lead with Stealth Rocks/Yawn/Lava Plume/Signature Move and then the field effect changes stealth rocks into mixed fire/rock damage which would also make Amber herself less weak against SR. I don't really know what her signature move does right now, but what about a fire move with either a really high burn chance or a fire attack that doubles in power against a burned targets kind of like Hex. So she would burn targets with Will-o-Wisp or Lava Plume and then she blasts them with her superpowered signature move. Another possibility would be a signature move that has both a chance to burn and a chance to lower Sp Atk by one stage, dunno. About her Ace Magmortar, have you considered a Belch set and then letting the field boost Belch's power, it could be fun and surprise some people. Like Belch/Fire Blast or Sig move/Substitute/THunderbolt with a Sitrus berry as item, the AI might fuck up and use Belch when it hasn't eaten its berry though. Anyway, overall I loved the game and the gym fights were mostly fun. Looking forward to V7!
  13. Hmm, i was positive i checked all the rooms in the garufa part, maybe I accidentally missed one which would be rather silly of me. Anyway, thanks a lot Oblivion. Edit: For future reference, I am an idiot and it was the second (in height) room on the right
  14. Okay I am kind of lost here. I defeated Groudon and gave the magma stone away, the elder said she would take care of Aelita or something, and now what. I can't find the eldest or aelita, I looked all around Carotos mountain/the Garufa place and all over Sheridan as well. Went back to Teila Town and Kakori Village and to where Angie was frozen. What am I supposed to do now?
  15. Hi, kinda new to the forums, but I already played through Pokemon Reborn twice so I decided I wanted to try my hand at a monotype run with one of my favorite types, Ice (as I have already done mono dark runs on other games, which is my other favorite type). Problem is, there are hardly any ice types early and I don't have faith in my ability to beat Flobot and Corey with just one vanillite. So could someone please put a Skill Link Shellder with Rock Blast (one of my favorite mons, who is now actually good with skill link) and a Hydration Smoochum with Signal Beam if possible in my save file instead of my starter. Thanks in advance! Edit: Oh, and I prefer non-shiny Game.rxdata
