  1. Similar to TimTim, my signature Pokemon is Medicham/Mega Medicham. (Now if only I knew how to add pictures/gifs to these posts like practically everyone else.) Ever since I caught Medicham in my first run of Pokemon Platinum 7 years ago in Mt. Coronet, it's proved itself useful countless times. It would've been the first Pokemon I got to level 100...had my brother not stolen it from me when it was level 99 and most likely used a Rare Candy on it. After some time, I eventually got it back and then proceeded to wreck everything with it just like old times. Its Mega Evolution was a godsend and it makes me so happy. I'm now normally against reusing Pokemon I've previously used, but when I got the event Meditite in Apophyll Academy in Reborn, I couldn't resist using it again. As to why I love it so much, it's most likely a case of nostalgia, but Pure Power and its Mega Evolution just proceed to wreck everything.
  2. Congratulations and way to go! Have fun with the rest of your mono rock run!
  3. Sounds fun, but I do have a quick question. Are trade evolutions allowed? (For example, Magmar is found in Johto but can evolve into Magmortar (a pokemon originally from Sinnoh) when traded and holding a Magmarizer.) If it's not the case, it's not the end of the world. Thanks for your time.
  4. Why not use your Corsola? It'll take neutral damage from her team and it'll get Earth Power at level 47, which is helpful against her Lanturn
  5. I just completed my first year of college last Thursday, and I'm being forced by my parents to find a summer job even though I already worked during the stressful school year and wanted to take the summer off. I'm currently thinking of majoring in Business in college, but I don't know if it's what I really want to do. I haven't even had a Business class yet, but thanks to the mandatory Macroeconomics, it just feels so boring and uninteresting. I initially entered college wanting to major in Spanish, but that sorta fell apart when I realized I don't know what to do with it. I may switch majors again though. After that, who knows? I don't know where destiny will take me, or what I want to do, or what my purpose in life is. It doesn't help that I prefer to interact with as few people as possible in an ever-growing social and interconnected world, and I will HAVE to deal with people. I don't know what I want to do with my life, although the only thing I do know is that I don't want to end up working in a restaurant/cafeteria/entry level job the rest of my life or end up as a stay at home mom. If I can help it, neither of those possibilities will happen. Relationship wise? I'll be lucky if I can get a decent single guy's interest at all. Seems like every guy I like nowadays is either in a relationship or not interested in something more than a friendship. I'm sorry if it seems like I'm whining. I wanted to put something positive here, but I'd just be lying to everyone who reads this. Maybe I'll find something that gives me a sense of purpose later on in life...
  6. 8 days?!? Dang. It's taken me 6 months to get to Tanzan Mountain. Your determination amazes me.
  7. That makes sense. It or whatever Pokemon I got from the Mystery Egg event could've been helpful against her, though. Thanks for the information.
  8. Has anyone had luck with finding Phantump? I'm in Goldenleaf Town in the abandoned house next to the waterfall, have Gourmet Treats, and it's nighttime (as I type this, it's 9:39pm, or 21:39 for those outside the US). How come it isn't appearing for me?
  9. What level was it when you caught it? If you caught it as a Swinub it should have it at level 24 (unless there's an area where you can catch Piloswine later in the game).
  10. @Imperial: Chances are if you caught Swinub at Citrine Mountain like I did with mine, it should come with Ice Shard. @Caraboo: As for evolving Piloswine, you can do so at this point. You'll need a Pokemon with Rock Smash, Heart Scales, and to backtrack to the Underground Railnet puzzle and then to the Onyx Ward. At the Railnet puzzle (the one where you needed to flip the switches to open the way to Tanzan Mountain), there are certain places with cracks in the wall. Break those holes in the walls with Rock Smash until you find the House Key. Backtrack to the Onyx Ward and go to the left once you get there. There should be a female NPC outside a house searching for her house key. Give it to her and ta-da! You have access to the Move Relearner (assuming you haven't done any of this already). Use a Heart Scale and teach Piloswine Ancient Power and then level it up. Then you'll get your Mamoswine.
  11. Good advice. Thanks~! I'll try to find a Misdreavus/Yamask and Electrike and find ways to grind them up.
  12. Love the Porygon's nickname. In all seriousness, maybe evolve Love Machine into a Porygon2 and/or train up a Swinub and wreck Ciel with a Mamoswine. You can find Swinub in Citrine Mountain outside Shade's gym, and you'll need Rock Smash to enter the cave. Have fun on the grinding adventure!
  13. Narcissa's been giving me some trouble. All of my team is level 39 except for one, and I'll note what level he's at. Garbodor Aftermath no item Sludge Bomb Toxic Spikes Toxic Take Down Chesnaught Bulletproof Quick Claw Spiky Shield Seed Bomb Take Down Bite Dusclops Pressure no item Shadow Punch Will o' Wisp Curse Confuse Ray Seismitoad Swift Swim no item Muddy Water Uproar Bounce Rain Dance Torkoal White Smoke no item Flamethrower Water Pulse Iron Defense Protect Ambipom Pickup no item Swift Nasty Plot Double Hit Tickle In the PC: Swoobat Klutz Twisted Spoon Air Slash Future Sight Assurance Calm Mind Forestress (level 33) Sturdy no item Bide Payback Rapid Spin Mirror Shot
  14. While Charizard is overrated (did it really need 2 Mega Evolutions? No. It didn't), my vote goes to Serperior, and for a personal reason despite how apparently good it is competitively. Long story short, I used it (well, Servine specifically) in Clay's Gym in my Black Nuzlocke, and it died there.
  15. I noticed in your breakdown of the games, you excluded Platinum. Any particular reason?
  16. I honestly think they're really overrated. Time for something unexpectedly deep: What is something you hope the next generation will do right?
  17. This has been quite an experience. I'm having a lot of fun with this.
  18. If I had to pick any move, I'd vote for Toxic Spikes. Being able to badly poison most anything that gets sent out into battle? Yes please.
  19. I have a question. I've been trying to find a Poliwag in Tanzan Cove, but I'm having no luck. Will it appear in certain weather conditions, like with Murkrow? Do I need PokeSnax? Do I need to fish for it, and if so, what rod do I need to use? Do I need to use Surf in the lake? TL;DR: I could use some clarification on how to find Poliwag. EDIT: Thanks for the information. I got my Poliwag, who is now a beautiful Poliwrath.
  20. Today I learned 2 things. First, college professors are seemingly out to screw with procrastinators (such as myself) with multiple assignments due right before final exams start. Second, I have no idea how to successfully do those assignments but have the determination to pull out my highest quality BS.
  21. Tfw you first get to Chrysolia Forest in Reborn and rage quit
  22. On my first run, I used Pansage, and he was a valuable asset to my team. In my second run (which was a Nuzlocke), I used Panpour, but while he did help against Chili, he didn't last long afterwards.
