  1. I'm not sure if this has been asked, and if it has feel free to ignore me. How did the idea of Chrysolia Forest come about? How were you able to program all the shenanigans that occur in there (the moving trees, etc.)?
  2. Since everyone else is re-rolling... After an unspecified amount of time bringing vigilante justice as an almighty Verizion, I have woken up this time as an... Aegislash! How I transferred my soul over to this conveniently placed sword and shield is beyond me, but one thing's for certain: the Fire Nation is out to set the world on fire, and I need to make an alliance with some very powerful and capable Ground/Rock/Water types or else I risk being burned alive.
  3. Sounds fun! Power: Being able to bend reality to my will Weakness: requires a lot of concentration in a quiet and stress-free environment to pull it off
  4. I'd like to point out that the link for Magnemite's Shiny sprite leads to the picture of Ponyta's Shiny sprite.
  5. That feeling when you think your allergies are kicking in but you're really getting a sinus infection.
  6. I can't pick anyone who's consistently saved me from defeat. However, I think for now my lifesaver is my trusty Swalot, Kirby. After being rescued from a dumpster in Lower Peridot Ward, she assisted me greatly in defeating Florina and Corey. Gotta love the defensive Poison types.
  7. I'm like most people here and give my Pokemon nicknames based on whatever comes to mind. Some are based on real people (such as Tyler the Noibat-named after the guy who first showed me and got me into Reborn). Some are more or less clever (such as Pinkleberg the West Sea Gastrodon (pink + Dinkleburg from "The Fairly Oddparents")), while others.... I'm not sure where they come from (I have too many examples to choose from. If I have to pick one, let's go with... *picks a piece of paper out of a hat* ...Pickles the Grumpig) TL;DR: I nickname my Pokemon mostly based on whatever comes to mind, and the names are typically pretty stupid.
  8. For me, there are a few reasons. First, I love the dark atmosphere/story of the game. The main games, while they're still fun in their own right, basically share the same story: obtain Pokemon, defeat Gym Leaders, defeat evil team with a more or less stupid evil plot, defeat Elite 4 and Champion, the end. Reborn offers so much more than that, and it isn't afraid to be dark when the situation calls for it (such as Corey's suicide). Second, it allows you to use Pokemon you'd almost never use in a main game and forces you to switch around Pokemon should they underperform later in the game. Third, the Shinies. Need I say more? Finally, and my biggest reason, is that there's so much to do and it keeps you playing. I personally hate it when the game doesn't offer a lot for you to do, especially after you beat the game, which is arguably my biggest (and only) issue with the main Pokemon games. You can do so much in Reborn, and it makes me so happy that I won't get bored with the game (well, maybe except when I have to level grind off of wild Pokemon for the Gym Leaders.) Here's to hoping the post-game will be just as exciting and fun as the main story.
  9. I see you want your future Floatzel to be a physical attacker. If you can find a Move Tutor, you can teach it Ice Punch to replace Ice Fang. As for the Fighting-type move, you can replace Waterfall (or Aqua Jet-your choice) with Brick Break. Hope this helped!
  10. 5 Shiny Porygon? And in a row no less? Congratulations! I don't have any tips, but I do have a story to share. I was playing HeartGold trying to breed my Banette in order to get a Shuppet. After biking forever to get the egg to appear and to hatch, it revealed a Shiny Shuppet. That was the first-and currently only-Shiny Pokemon I ever got from an egg.
  11. This may not be the appropriate place to post this and I apologize if this is the case, but when do you get the Snag Machine fixed in the game? The Shadow Pokemon Team Xen are throwing at me are mocking me and my current inability to catch them.
  12. I could use some help with Shade. His Gengar sweeps through my team every time. Currently in party: Gothorita (level 36) Ability: Competitive Future Sight Psyshock Faint Attack Heal Block Empoleon (level 37) no item Torrent Brine Metal Claw Aqua Jet Peck Noibat (level 35) no item Telepathy Razor Wind Air Cutter Bite Roost Tynamo (level 36) no item Levitate Spark Charge Beam Tackle Thunder Wave Growlithe (level 36) no item Justified Close Combat Flamethrower Take Down Reversal Donphan (level 35) no item Sturdy Slam Rollout Magnitude Flail In PC: Swalot (level 35) Black Sludge Liquid Ooze Body Slam Sludge Toxic Yawn Leavanny (level 35) Rose Incense Swarm Slash Bug Bite Razor Leaf Protect Croagunk (level 28-will definitely need grinding) no item Poison Touch Sucker Punch Drain Punch Venoshock Mud Bomb I have 28,180 pokedollars, if that means anything.
  13. Where do you go in order to fix the Snag Machine and be able to catch Shadow Pokemon again?
  14. I wake up as a Virizion. Me: So, what does Virizion even do? *attempts an Internet search with hooves. 20 minutes and a broken laptop later...* Welp, time to promote and start dishing out vigilante-style justice on the humans!
  15. My pick goes to Swoobat. While I have a certain fondness for it thanks to a lucky find as a Woobat in Pokemon Rejuvenation, why is it primarily orange? I like the color orange normally, but Swoobat just doesn't look good in it.
  16. My first game was Silver. I wish I still had that game.
  17. I'm in Kristolica Palace when Indriad locks the player, Venam, Lenny, and the 4th person (whose name I've forgotten) in the cells so they can be used as sacrifices. How do you get past the tile hopping puzzle to free the person in the cell next to your character's?
  18. I'm on Normal Mode, and Sensei Keta sucks. Screw him and his Pignite and Lucario.
  19. I have issues with Mewtwo. It's already super powerful as it is, and it's available to catch in every generation except for Gen 5. Why, of all things, did it need a Mega Evolution, and 2 of them for that matter? Just why? I also have a problem with the weather trio and their Mega Evolutions/Primal Reversions. While Groudon's is admittedly good for countering its water weakness, why do Legendaries even need Mega Evolutions/Primal Reversions in the first place? They're supposed to be powerful as they are. Instead of adding Mega Evolutions to legendaries and already overpowered Pokemon, why not give them to Pokemon who don't get any love-like Dunsparce or Qwilfish? Mega Evolutions greatly helped Mawile and (at least to some extent) Sableye become decent competitively. TL;DR: I have problems with the Mega Evolutions given to Pokemon who could already hold their own in the competitive scene and legendaries, especially Mewtwo.
  20. My three favorite nicknames are: Pinkleberg the (West Sea) Gastrodon Thornbert the Ferrothorn Reminiscence the Growlithe
