So when I looked at the starters, I mainly wanted to get rid of the ones which were a Stone Evos because of balancing and moving a lot of stuff around, then I thought about Balance and whats actually really good or not good at all, Sewaddle as a starter felt extremely weak and Sandile as a starter felt extremely stong. Espurr I just didn't like too much as a starter. The other 3 I thought were nice choices for the player and are pretty fun to use! Moving on to the 5 new starter choices.. I'll group these together, I chose these 5 as they have early evolutions for the player and they were interesting to have as starters choices! I wanted to spice things up with the first Pokemon the player receives and I think after some balance changes, these 5 feel nice to play through with and they all also have the same sort of power curve :] -

I cannot say anything on the 2 new gym leaders due to spoilers however! First 5 gym leaders are.. Fire, Flying, Normal, Electric and Fairy There is an area in ep5 where you can evolve Magneton, it should be obvious when you find it Lycanroc Dusk is in the game yes -

I've mentioned this on the server but i'll just say it here also, the official obtainable list for Deso will come out sometime next week! but until then, please explore to find out whats new, whats been changed and whats where -
If you find a bug that doesn't crash your game/you get stuck, post about it here! Any Bugs posted now will be fixed for Episode 7

Potentially in v6, for v5 I plan on making a small field effect guide which will be located in the Desolation Folder, since we adjusted a few fields from Reborn as well as created our own. -

Hey welcome! So we had this feature previously (and it still is a feature) however, as of v5 there will now be a hard cap! basically your Pokemon will no longer gain experience past a certain cap (which you can see what it is while viewing your Trainer Card) til you receive the next badge. It's essentially Rejuvenation's hard cap which we implemented into the game. You can still go over the hard cap using a Rare Candy and then a Reserve Candy to get your Pokemon under again, if you need a specific move or evolution before a battle :] -

Development is going well! In the midst of Beta Testing, ironing out any small errors and bugs, adjusting teams if need be and overall polishing up the game as a whole. We are still aiming End of June (in a week or two) and we have a unexpected surprise which we are happy we were able to get sorted during this period of testing, but more of that will come closer to the release date :] idk if we will be giving you guys a set date but just expect it looming around the corner when you least expect it! -

Hey we appreciate it my guy! we are excited to be bringing you the game soon! In regard to your question, yes and no? Lemme explain. So Caz has edited a few of the older maps slightly and I have personally gone back to adjust and fix anything that looked out of place, few errors etc, for example.. trees.. I now despise trees.. You may notice a few maps having a slight revamp, not major! just a little polish up for details. However with myself only starting mapping recently (as in the past 6 months?) the maps will mainly get a major rework when we start development on v6! This is because for v5, our main focuses were: 1. Revamping the characters, Ruby did a fantastic job on giving them new life. 2. Balance, my main goal was to adjust the game and make the overall "Pokemon gamplay" aspect more enjoyable 3. Actually pumping out the story lol We have goals set in mind for v6, one of them will be reworking the maps! This is a long project, and as you can expect with gaining a team, it's gonna take a bit of time before everything is completely up to scratch with our vision! But we hope we deliver an overall enhanced Pokemon Desolation in v5! -

I have actually (main reason why I started working on Deso was because I had knowledge on Team Building and wanted to help implement some balance) I started doing a lot more VGC when SwSh came out because I enjoyed the meta and wanted to do a bit more comp battling. I don't really play Smogon tiers though, if I did it would probably be OU, sometimes UU, also I am currently in a Draft League or have been for the past 3 years! So I have a good amount of knowledge on competitive battling -

yes the game has now been dubbed Pokemon Gunsolation, everyone has guns, but who knows what kind of guns Read the FAQ Funny enough one of our Beta Testers mentioned this, yeah I'll make a Field Effect Manual because we have adjusted a few fields, also taken a field or two and made it our own -

1. We can't say due to it being a potential spoilers because Caz is very easily convinced if it looks cool as hell LOL but Ruby and I played around with the idea of a Mega Ninetales but it resembled Ninetails from Okami... 2. Well throughout development, I have come to head canon Garret as a really bad sheriff (with inspiration from Kenny from AoT) who has a catchphrase like ... "You've yee'd your last haw you criminal scum" Well I'm not going to say anything but if you go back to the end of e4, a few characters mentions a certain someone who you will be meeting in e5! But who knows who else you may or may not meet :'] -

You know I did think about potentially livestreaming some Deso content, either being like an open AMA or just chill and discussions, or even just playing through the game with E5, if people actually want that then I may look into doing it! suppose to be streaming hollow knight but thats taken a backseat due to um.. testing. -

Adding onto this I firstly should give you all an update on things we don't have a dev blog but everyone checks here anyways so yeah this is fine. Beta Testing is starting soon! within the next few days we will be getting our testers to play through the game before release, our aim is still end of this month for the release but it may change depending on the test. Also, when E5 eventually drops, There will be a E5 Discussion Thread made here to keep all spoilers in. After about a week since the release, feel free to then discuss further outside the thread in the club! but please be thoughtful for others who still might have not played the game. ON TOP OF THAT, the 3 of us will be hanging around in the Reborn Discord! well I'm a mod anyways so I'm there all the time hsjb besides the point.. Feel free to discuss with us there also and come chill. We are all extremely hyped to see the community's reaction to the project after it being on hiatus for 3 years. That being said, keep an eye on the forums for any other updates or the game's release!
