  1. Good luck with your run. Let's see how NORMAL it will be (:
  2. While I do like to rotate the Pokemon I'm using throughout different games/saves, there are two I tend to use a bit more frequently than others. The first would be Gardevoir, guess we heard enough reasons why it's awesome? In short, one of my favourite mons since Gen III (if not my favourite one). My second choice would be Roserade. Nice offensive and supportive utility and, at least for me, always nice to have. It saved me quite a few times- reason enough for me to use it whenever possible.
  3. The easiest way would probably be to use the following mod. It has a component called shared PC and easily allows you to switch mons between different Saves.
  4. Grass: 22 Steel: 13 Ground: 14 Ice: 21 Ghost: 21 Dark: 8 Bug: 23 Rock: 9 Poison: 10 Edit: Just realized the post I used to copy wasn't the newest lol xD
  5. Heal Steel, Hurt Poison Grass: 23 Steel: 10 Ground:13 Ice: 24 Fighting: 8 Normal: 7 Ghost: 24 Dark: 11 Bug: 28 Rock: 12 Poison:11
  6. About the Team... in my Grass mono I run Reshiram and had to face her in singles (I voted twice for doubles, but she seems to do what she wants in this route). It was still Community release, but her team was: Rotom-W, Ludicolo, Kingdra, Swampert (She didn't use mega), something I forgot from the top of my head and her Lapras. If the Reborm wiki is correct, she should now have a Wishbuckler instead of the Mon I forgot. At least with a Team full of Grass pretty manageable. Anyways, well done with with those 2 leaders. Will be interesting to see how you'll handle future leaders (:
  7. Grass: 27 Steel: 10 Ground: 13 Ice: 24 Fight: 15 Normal: 11 Ghost: 24 Dark: 15 Bug: 24 Rock: 14 Poison: 13 @Jess Well. I guess people stopped hurting it recently...
  8. Heal Electric, Hurt Poison Grass: 27 Electric: 4 Steel: 8 Ground: 13 Ice: 26 Fight: 15 Normal: 12 Ghost: 25 Dark: 19 Bug: 22 Rock: 16 Poison: 12
  9. @AnstaneIs there a reason to hate any type? Grass: 31 Electric: 9 Steel: 7 Ground: 15 Ice: 28 Fight: 15 Normal: 14 Ghost: 24 Dark: 19 Bug: 22 Rock: 17 Poison: 13
  10. It's been a while this I last updated this run, but it will be continued. In fact, I've already beaten E17 content and am waiting for the spoiler lock to be lifted. However, depending on my free time in January, I might need some time to write it down (rather busy time for me atm). I didn't (yet) complete or explore everything I wanted during the period between E16/17, but I caught one new Team member I trained and used throughout E17: Maybe I'll now manage to train and catch a bit more, especially with 3 new mons I'd like to try (Dhelmise, Ferroseed and maybe Rowlett). However, as I've already started a new mono... somewhat sceptical if I'll find the motivation to do so any time soon xD
  11. Kill Fire, Heal Steel Grass: 27 Dragon: 5 Electric: 13 Steel: 9 Ground: 19 Ice: 26 Fight: 18 Normal: 18 Ghost: 21 Dark: 18 Bug: 27 Flying: 11 Rock: 14 Poison: 20 Psychic: 7 My favorite types are probably Water, Grass, Steel and Electric. I don't really hate/dislike any Type but Fire maybe. So, killing it feels kinda Good
  12. Hurt Fire, Heal Steel Grass: 30 Dragon: 8 Electric: 13 Steel: 11 Fire: 6 Ground: 19 Ice: 25 Fight: 20 Normal: 16 Ghost: 20 Dark: 17 Bug: 27 Flying: 13 Rock: 18 Poison: 19 Psychic: 6 Welp, with my favourite type gone, it's time to look for something else. Tastes can be cruel
  13. Heal Water, Hurt Fire Water: 6 Grass: 28 Dragon: 12 Electric: 15 Steel: 11 Fire: 11 Ground: 21 Ice: 24 Fight: 19 Normal: 16 Ghost: 18 Dark: 17 Bug: 26 Flying: 13 Rock: 20 Poison: 19 Psychic: 14
  14. Water: 10 Grass: 27 Dragon: 11 Electric: 17 Steel: 13 Fire: 17 Ground: 21 Ice: 23 Fight: 18 Normal: 16 Ghost: 18 Dark: 19 Bug: 24 Flying: 15 Rock: 19 Poison: 18 Psychic: 18
  15. Prepare some plans and you are set. Remembering my Grass mono, Charlotte was one of the easiest leaders for me (Cradily and Ludicolo, as already mentioned, and try to change the field if need be), while Ciel was one of the hardest. Corey and Aya aren't too bad, too. Throughout your playthrough, Nature Power will be Insane. Lovely when you can turn a field against an opponent.
  16. Merry Christmas to y'all

  17. I'll say Chespin. Turtwig, Treecko and Bulbasaur (even though you'll have plenty of other poison types available) should be viable alternatives regarding coverage.
  18. Remembering my Mono-Grass run through E16, I can say that Chespin helped me quite a lot thanks to some nice early game coverage (Rollout against Flying/Bug/Fire or Pin Missile which is helpful against Rini thanks to a field boost). And it is quite tanky, which can help you quite a lot (the combination of Leech Seed, Spiky Shield and Drain Punch later on lets it heal quite a lot too). But I guess you need to like defensive mons to enjoy it properly xD
  19. The moment you realize E17 is available, but you still have to finish 2 novels and a drama for university... Where's free time when you need it xD

    1. Chickens

      Chickens

      Free time is an illusion

  20. Congratulations for finishing this run. I really enjoyed reading it and am glad to see that Rock seems to be possible to do. At first I was sceptical because of its many weaknesses, but in the end it is probably similar as in my Grass run: you simply need to put more thought into it. Finally, I cannot wait to see how you will handle both Titania and Amaria
  21. I like to run defensive mons, so I liked my Chesnaught (even though he had less screen time near the end) or Cradily. Roserade and Ludicolo are two of my favourite Grass types, so I should mention those two as well (Ludicolo was pretty entertaining in the rain). Or Gourgeist as a new mon I never used before and depending on how strong Flame Charge might me, it could help against Titania (depending on her field). Right now, I should have a roster of 18 (the once above, excluding Wormadam who was only used in the early game). The ones I plan to train/add would be Venusaur, Torterra and Rotom, unless I suddenly feel the urge for more than just those three (four if I find any use for Wormadam), as I enjoyed training different mons. So a potential roster of up to 22 could help in many situations (if I have the patience to train all those *cough*). Not to mention potential mons that have yet to come
  22. I can only talk up to Delta Dwebble, but having just a Delta Squirtle (even as Wartortle) makes many of the early Game Trainers with their fairies (sometimes each second trainer) a pain in the ass. I guess Squirtle requires something in your Team to counter those fairies, if you want to keep your sanity
  23. @Zargerth In the case of ToS, you have a vertain flexibility in exploring the temples. While you have to do Fire first, I think, you can choose either Water (what you are meant to do, I think) or Wind second. I don't know you can change it even more, but the story can progress in different ways. Or beating Kratos when you are supposed to lose against him. This is, at least, the way I understood the reference.
  24. Good luck with your run. I started Insurgence just for fun too and man, do the developers discriminate Squirtle early on xD
  25. Thanks~ The good thing with Grass types is that they are pretty common in Reborn and are rather versatile. I feel like there is no need to hack in (or use Sandbox mode) any mons in a Grass run (other then maybe adjust your mystery egg or add yourself a Cacnea, the only thing I did) in contrast to other types (like Ghost, where the first mons you can currently get legally appear around Corey). I always love to use a Field Effect against a leader/boss when possible, so I'll probably use a similar approach whenever possible. The amount of different coverage Grass types can have is pretty nice, as having a roster of roughly 20 helps too in order to counter the various weaknesses the type has.
