So I belatedly downloaded the Mac Version of Reborn, and ten minutes in it seems to be running smoothly. So first order of business: how do I prepare for Solaris? No, but seriously. I haven't yet devised a strategy, but I know it'll need at least a few Quick Claws/Focus Sashes/anything else that lets me get a move off before Garchomp one-shots all of my Pokemon. So is there any way to get those kinds of items before Pyrous Mountain? (asking this now in case the answer is time-sensitive)

Oh wait, I never saw that dialogue from Evelyn. You're probably right. That said, I don't think faking her power level in that way would be off-brand for Lin. Seeming much more powerful than one is to intimidate others is a form of power in itself. As Charlotte puts it, "you can make people lose control by convincing them they never had any."

So when Lin battles you in Titania's gym, she uses an Alolan Ninetales--leading one to believe she took Ame's for herself. Later, she uses a Gardevoir to suck Samson into the void. This, of course, is leading to speculation that she somehow broke Gossip Gardevoir's will and is controlling her now. That would make Lin terrifyingly powerful, since Gardevoir was so intensely loyal to Radomus that she had sacrificed herself for him just ten minutes earlier. But wait...haven't we seen Gossip Gardevoir being disloyal once before? Oh right, that was a Ditto. So what if Lin's Gardevoir is also a Ditto? And the same with her Ninetales? What if she's just screwing with you to make herself seem more powerful than she really is?

Why would they have been from the past though? Wasn't Sigmund a kid when his sister died?

Sigmund's going to die. It was foreshadowed in the secret quest in Shade's Gym (it showed Corey reuniting with a woman who appeared to be his wife, and Sigmund reuniting with someone who looked like his sister).

With regards to the intro, have you considered updating it a la Sun and Moon, so that instead of asking you your gender (which, even with the three options, could potentially lead to awkward places) it asks you what you look like, displaying all six character models and allowing you to choose between them all at once? Just a thought.

Actually, wait. Just saw the rotom cutscene. Dr. Sigmund's going to die sooner or later; I'm sure of it. But I don't want him to leave us just yet, though, since there's still so much room for character development.

Hmmm...the way Ame phrased this is interesting. I presume that the character she initially mentioned in the previous post is one of the more major protagonists. But then when everyone started thinking outside the box and guessing villains and more minor characters, she had to clarify that more than one character would actually be killed off this episode. So here's my verdict. One of the characters who dies will be a major protagonist. The others will be either villains or minor characters (such as the Aqua/Magma leaders).
