  1. Hmm, just realized something - whimsicott always outspeeds sableye (base 268 speed unboosted, I think), so looks like you'll be on the receiving end of Taunt instead of the grass abomination.
  2. Perhaps run Icy Wind on lanturn? Helps with your speed issues I wouldn't recommend Earthquake on girafarig - Crunch or Double Kick may be better options, depending on how you tailor the rest of the team.
  3. Dodrio approves of the monotype team! And the sheer firepower along with the utility offered for doubles/triples as well make it even more lovely. Otherwise, only comment may be to give blaziken more non-recoil moves.
  4. It's a non-weather team, but how does it fare in weather? Hmm, it's a tough one to take on for sure, but a well-rounded sand/rain team might still damage it significantly. And just as an aside, is there even a single stall team being run nowadays without SkarmBliss/SkarmChans? XD
  5. No offence to Ame and the other future shrinks, but in addition to what Mael said, loads of people are running with psychology as well Just how many shrinks can the world take before it implodes... I wonder. Yes, I generally have a low opinion of psychology, since most people I know in the field seem to be so lost in theory that they either forget how to use common sense or seem to think it's impossible for someone to lie to them.
  6. When things go wrong due to no fault of mine, and in such a way that I couldn't remedy the situation even if I tried. Time's counting down for everyone, but for me, the clock just started ticking that little bit faster.
  7. why not exeggutor? Since you've got ninetales, it'll be just as fast as anything else in the OU tier with its Chlorophyll.
  8. Well, they're all forgetting stuff that we'll actually need when we start work (clinical stuff, mostly)... so I'm sort of wondering just what the hell they'd do to their customers/patients once they graduate. Thank the gods for stringent testing during exams, though - at least I get some sour satisfaction out of watching these same people flunk after they've laughed at me for remembering 'pointless' stuff :/ If your future bread and butter is pointless... then just what has a point?
  9. Not so much that, but rather, the fact that most of my classmates are apparently amnesiacs who forget every damn thing once the finals are over. Which probably makes me one of four/five persons who could actually sleep in class and not lose marks in the exams for it. Why can't these people RETAIN whatever was taught?

    Toxic Hail

Not many poisonous pokemon can use Blizzard, alas Tentacruel, nidoking, nidoqueen are about it. It does run into some problems against water-heavy teams if the opposition gets the jump on crobat, though.

    Cold Tricks

My general principle of running Trick Room is that there shouldn't be a need for recovery moves - I prefer to utilize abilities like Water Absorb, which allow for recovery while damage is still being done. And why would there be a wall in TR? TR matches typically don't last long due to the attackers being slow but hard-hitting.
  12. Wonder why I'm in the mood for Hail these days... Made for triples, naturally. --- Tentacruel (F) @ Icy Rock Trait: Liquid Ooze EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Surf - Blizzard - Giga Drain - Hail --- Toxicroak (F) @ Lum Berry Trait: Dry Skin EVs: 136 Atk / 120 Def / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Fake Out - Drain Punch - X-Scissor - Rock Slide --- Crobat (F) @ Black Sludge Trait: Inner Focus EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Brave Bird - U-turn - Taunt - Tailwind --- Qwilfish (M) @ Black Sludge Trait: Intimidate EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Waterfall - Poison Jab - Destiny Bond - Hail --- Gengar (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Levitate EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Shadow Ball - Sludge Bomb - Thunderbolt - Hidden Power [Fire] --- Nidoking (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Sheer Force EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Earth Power - Flamethrower - Blizzard - Thunderbolt --- Basically the old triples Tailwind, with an added taste of Hail/Blizzard. Toxicroak's Fake Out helps in setting up.

    Cold Tricks

Hmm, I initially considered lapras, but decided on jellicent for its water absorption and ability as a backup TR piece. Band on carracosta sounds tempting, hmm. If I ever decided to not use the Sturdy/Berry combo, I might use the Sturdy/Band As for cloyster, I think I'll stick with the Sash, since he's quite versatile (ice, rock, and water cover at least six types between them, off the top of my head).
  14. But quagsire's physical defense outweighs its special defense in most cases, so Energy Ball would chip through it faster than Seed Bomb would, given Unaware as a common factor
  15. More goodness with Trick Room! Made for doubles/triples, of course XD --- Slowbro (M) @ Lum Berry Trait: Own Tempo EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd) - Psyshock - Flamethrower - Hail - Trick Room --- Ludicolo (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Own Tempo EVs: 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd) - Scald - Giga Drain - Blizzard - Fake Out --- Slowking (F) @ Lum Berry Trait: Own Tempo EVs: 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd) - Grass Knot - Blizzard - Hail - Trick Room --- Cloyster (M) @ Focus Sash Trait: Skill Link EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SDef Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd) - Ice Shard - Icicle Spear - Rock Blast - Razor Shell --- Jellicent (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Water Absorb EVs: 224 Def / 252 SAtk / 32 SDef Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd) - Scald - Shadow Ball - Ice Beam - Trick Room --- Carracosta (F) @ Liechi Berry Trait: Sturdy EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 SDef Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd) - Aqua Jet - Waterfall - Rock Slide - Crunch --- Ludicolo has Fake Out to practically ensure that slowbro/slowking open Trick Room up, and the next turn, either one of the slow ones go first with Hail for ludicolo to unleash a Blizzard on the opposition. Ideally, slowbro would use Hail, so that slowking and ludicolo can both use Blizzard with a sure-hit guarantee. Cloyster and carracosta are there as physical attackers in the event of blissey/chansey/snorlax being present. Jellicent is most ideally used alongside carracosta, since Aqua Jet and Water Absorb may be lifesavers in a tight situation. Otherwise, a pretty standard Trick Room team.
  16. Use a special attack cradily with Storm Drain - would help you against physical tanks like quagsire or hippowdon.
  17. You could try putting Storm Drain on cradily to handle water attacks, and use something like probopass to trap and kill skarmory. Alternatively, use a lunatone/solrock and use Magic Coat to bounce the skarmory/hippowdon around.
  18. So I was wondering if I should put together a Rain team. But of course, Rain in a water monotype got boring after the first dozen teams or so... Made for an ice monotype in doubles/triples. --- Beartic (F) @ Focus Sash Trait: Swift Swim EVs: 120 Def / 136 SDef / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Ice Punch - Rock Slide - Brick Break - Swords Dance --- Lapras (M) @ Damp Rock Trait: Hydration EVs: 252 Atk / 140 Def / 20 SDef / 96 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Ice Shard - Waterfall - Rest - Rain Dance --- Jynx (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Dry Skin EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Psychic - Ice Beam - Energy Ball - Fake Out --- Concretion (Cloyster) (M) @ Focus Sash Trait: Skill Link EVs: 236 Atk / 20 SDef / 252 Spd Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Ice Shard - Icicle Spear - Rock Blast - Shell Smash --- Rotom-F @ Choice Scarf Trait: Levitate EVs: 40 Def / 220 SAtk / 40 SDef / 208 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Thunder - Will-O-Wisp - Pain Split - Trick --- Froslass (F) @ Lum Berry Trait: Cursed Body EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Ice Beam - Thunder - Destiny Bond - Rain Dance --- Would have some issues with countering sand to an extent, but other than that, it's off for playtesting.
  19. Good on the Reborn authority for implementing these rules - they certainly keep things... civilized. And what Maelstrom says goes for the three of us, minus the deployment bit - poke the dodrio at your own risk
  20. Nothing much to be said about it now, is there? Rest in peace, Whitney Houston. Know that during your lifetime, there was at least that One Moment in Time when you managed to reach out and sing to people about the Greatest Love of All.
  21. ... I think I'll need cloyster to handle this one. Or perhaps sharpedo.
  22. It's like those damned quadrupeds (they don't even deserve to be called ponies or horses!) are taking over the internet! Seriously, the MLP addiction is so widespread it's probably worse than AIDS at this point and barring lunatics, AIDS victims probably won't try to spread the virus.
  23. Just used Skill Swap to steal Chlorophyll, and used kangaskhan's Fre Punch to demolish a grass team in Sun :D

  24. Since one of us has already spoken up, I'll just leave a brief note here. More people need to wake up and realize that life can be as simple as the laws of mathematics. Of course, the condition for such an ideal state would be the excision of emotions, which people apparently can't live without. So it becomes a question of simplicity against comfort, possibly. Equations are to be balanced, after all.
