Of course. It's not like this mission was going to get any easier. Halley would trust anyone who stuck a knife at her anyway. Visrii passed the mirror back to Edmond. "Lexiel - use the lava axe from floor 50. The rest of us should look around for any other options to cut through or stand guard against anyone coming through the hallway. If any of you have faster options at blowing through the floor, it's time to speak up now."

He took another sip of his 'coffee', which seemed to perk him up a bit, while also making his nightclothes shift a little because of his tail moving under his shirt. Shaun continued to stare at Aiko's hat, completely oblivious to her awkwardness. "They look like..." he seemed to space out a little, then come back. "yeah, they look like fox ears..."

Pokemon in Space [IC Chapter #03]

Kalva and Quina looks at each other, then back at Emmanuel with the same awkward smile. Kalva writes, "It's okay, you're not the first person to say the same thing." His pokemon friends in 02 mentioned it, his siblings pointed it out, and even his fellow cadets had pondered why Kalva had such a liking to berries like Quina did. Well, they were very close; Kalva thought it was simply a part of friends acquiring similar tastes after they knew each other for so long. "I think it's about knowing each other for a while that makes you have similar looks, don't you think?" Kalva smiles, then crouches down to pet the Salandit as Quina shows the Salandit the paint as well as her own little palette and brush Kalva had made (albeit crudely) for her. Wow! So this is Gina's new friend! I hope we travel a lot together! I am sure Gina will take good care of you. She's a kind human with a good heart. He stands back up and signs to Gina, "Salandit looks amazing! Where did you meet them?" -
"...mmm...mmmh...hmm?" Shaun opened his eyes slowly and looked at his waker, his head barely turning as if he was talking the least amount of energy as possible. "Oh...yeah...I guess I should stay awake..." He said to the asian girl. Though it seemed as if his 'awake' and 'asleep' state were two nearly congruent states. He let out a wide yawn and stretched a little, making him slightly more awake. "My name is Shaun. Nice to meet you." He looked up at the girl's hat. "Nice hat...do you want some help with the luggage?"

Kalva nods cheerily at Sena while Quina waves at Verna. Kalva writes, "Yes, and I think Verna is going to be a great Noivern!" Quina looks around, then points to a nearby crystal tree. Kalva breaks of a branch and hands it to Quina, who examines it in fascination. "It seems like we are going to have a lot of good adventures now Quina!" Quina gestures carrying a lot of paint buckets in her arms, making Kalva laugh, though it's a little weird because his laugh doesn't have any sound to it. "Yep - and we're going to have to get lots of paint. It's a good thing we have these tablets that can carry so many things." Kalva gets up and looks towards Emmanuel. He had also come from 02, and so he must have known his companion as well! "Hey Emmanuel! Who's your companion?" Kalva writes. -
Lots of people here...cool... Shaun, in his night clothes and carrying an already ice-cold cup of coffee, watched tiredly at the Group 12. They all looked quite eccentric, but it was one of the reasons he chose Aurora in the first place anyway. He looked around, looking for anyone that he might recognised. Satisfied that he knew no-one in the group, he shuffled toward the school wall and caught a 5 minute nap before the Group Leader came.

Visrii gestured towards Halley. "She met Deus and made the pact. I'll caution against it, but if it helps with burning of a book, go ahead." Visrii sighed at the lasers. He had encountered one before, back when he was destroying an angel monument compound. It had similar traps, though he doubted it was the same properties as this. Smoke and mirrors. "Any mirrors here? I have a fog crystal, but that will only set it off. I need a mirror to redirect the laser."

Pokemon in Space [IC Chapter #03]

Kalva approaches the group, visibly happier now that he was with Quina. Kalva started to write a message to everyone, but then Quina picks up the pen and corrects his message, putting in correct punctuation and spelling. Kalva beams at Quina. "Hello everyone! This is Quina, my partner. She is really happy to meet you all~" Kalva crouches down and Quina waves at the other pokemon along with Kalva. They seem to be radiating an identical sort of happy comfort near the pokemon. -
"Hooray for good luck! Ha ha ha!" Wyvis cheers with whatever little people who joined in the cheer, though he couldn't help notice a many of his team members simply ignoring the gesture. This team requires more coherence with their actions. All in due time, perhaps. "For the sun! Let us strike down our enemies! Hyaah!" Wyvis shouts and runs into the field, weapon held high.

Visrii notices the vibrant change within Lexiel. So - she's an elemental of justice; and she got corrupted by violent thoughts. And that fucked her over. Another victim of circumstance. Seeing Lexiel better so quickly made him feel relieved, and yet strangely even more depressed. Was it jealousy or pity? No matter. He swept these emotions away for the task ahead. Visrii shot a lightning at where the laser came from, and then followed it up with a fire ball. If he couldn't destroy it, he'll have to try and redirect the lasers somewhere.

Visrii stopped walking and opened his palm. With a little determination, he could collect a fireball of a reasonable size. Mana pool's no longer sporadic. Recovery is slow but it's getting there. He started walking again, and addressed the whole group. "Izumi's reported back in. We've traps in the south hallways and guards are catching up. We've got to hustle." Visrii picked up pace, sending out a weak bolt here and there to set off possible traps. >>>>>>>>Take pictures of George as it eats your various lab assistants....FOR SCIENCE!

Pokemon in Space [IC Chapter #03]

Kalva signs an excited 'thank you' to Gina (though they could visibly see that Kalva's hand shaking from all the anticipation) and sprints off to meet Quina. With one swoop he picks up Quina, spins around and gives her a tight hug. I missed you so much! After nearly a full 5 minutes of tight hugging, he stands outside the drill with Quina his his arms, watching the other cadets meet their own companions. I've got so many pictures to show you - the place here is beautiful... we might run out of paint for all this though. -
"I'd be for a chat and an apology," he said to everyone, "but I hear the guards coming this way. I've only one more of those rock crystals, and I'm saving it for an escape. If we want to talk, we're better off talking whilst moving. Izumi - what do we have on radar?"

Visrii adjusted Lexiel on his back and clicked off the crystal hub and handed it it Lexiel, making sure she was coherent enough to use it. "Stay with me Lexiel." "Acknowledged. Do all that it takes to keep Lexiel alive." Visrii looked down to his necklace. Kavaline was the Watchers' goddess. An angel, with bright white wings and wielding staff. It is said that she lead the precursors of the Watchers, before she disappeared into the skies with the angels to bring them back. She never returned, but legend told that she ascended into godhood, and now stands watching over the Fire. She must be so fucking pissed right now to see how it went since she disappeared. Either way, this necklace continued its soothing blue aura, restoring Visrii's mana pool little by little. His Fading was a different problem - but at least soon he'll be able to fight. Visrii said nothing, but silently stared at Lexiel as he carried her. Some strange forlornness set upon Visrii's mind, but as he had always done, he kept it away from showing. He had to finish the mission, and keep his team safe, if he could. That was the only objective he had now.

"Very well! The Trespasser with numerous eyes seem to be the one causing most of the damage. We must focus on that monster first, for it seems to be immune to most of our compatriots' efforts. We must surely ensure victory! We cannot afford any loss, especially with the weight of the task and civilian presence. Caution your fire and minimise collateral damage. Come on, a cheer for good luck?" Wyvis put a hand in the middle of the group, with eager eyes inviting others to join in on the cheer. His maddening enthusiasm for jolly cooperation radiates out him like sunrays.

"This place is outside the Ios, right? Then it will be compatible. But we'll need a receiver end - Wait." Visrii put a hand on the comms crystal hub, his hand glowing slightly as he tested with different frequencies. 2...6...3...1...5. Currently, the comms crystal to Wolfe was connected with frequency 26315. Each pair of crystals were unique, and each had their own frequency. But if he could reverse the frequency, he could hijack the crystal and open it to a completely different channel. Of course, this will completely screw the crystal over after a few hours of use. The few hours, he reasoned, was all that he needed. The crystal glowed blue, then deep crimson, then back to its normal translucence. "Try 51362 as your electronic device frequency." A certain mindset for a certain mana pool...she is not an angel. She's some kind of elemental conglomerate. "Well...shit. I'll have to make do with Edmond's boost. Taking mana off an elemental is a bad idea." Beyond his mana pool, however, he could feel the Fading, just shimmering out of sight. If he expended all the little mana he had left again, he would lose consciousness. The Fading had destabilized his soul - and his necklace was the only thing that was keeping him together at this point. Melina. I need to return to Stravaga, sooner or later.

Visrii gripped his necklace tightly, weak bursts of lightning fading away as he slowly regained control over his own mana pool. His mana deprivation, just for the little while thanks to Edmond's help. He still lacked strength to be in fighting form, however. "I've one more spare comms crystal. Halley has the other spare. The receiving end's engraved into my right shoulder pad. I can try to graft a 3 way communication with what we have, but the communication is going to be a little sketchy." His voice sounded a little more stable, though it was still faint. He looked at Lexiel again. "There's something we can do. If what I am assuming is correct - Lexiel is suffering from black mana and guilt-sickness. I can't help the sickness, but the black mana I can use. We can momentarily link our mana pools, then I can neutralize her overload and use the power to stave off the Fading for now. That is, if Lexiel's up to the task."

Visrii took the casket out of Izumi's hand and burnt it in his hand, letting Lexiel watch the flames turn the magazine into cinders. Fire is destruction. Fire is the purest form of destruction. Fire is purity. Visrii scoffed under his breath. Ironic piece of shit they were. "Hope you're happy." Visrii said, as he moved on. >>>>Slap some sense into your lab assistants, I mean it's only a Class 20 Memetic Anti Sanity Mutating Emotion Feeder, I mean sure the scale only goes up to 5.....but that is no excuse for a lack of professionalism and inquisitional spirit!

Visrii's eyes turned back to amber, his hair turning silver like ash. He let go of Lexiel's gauntlet, and weakly stood leaning against his Duty. Then he retched and threw up at a nearby wall, coughing up blood from some sort of ghastly sickness. Uncontrolled bursts of lightning flashed from his armor. Fuck. Too much mana again. He straightened himself, and with shallow breaths returned to where Izumi was trying to heal Lexiel. The murmurs, the mantra that she was repeating over and over. That was guilt, not some sort of disease. "That wouldn't work...that...she's under guilt sickness." Visrii coughed again. "Unless that thing you're doing gets rid of all the dark mana she's filled with... we need to finish the mission...get the hell out of here." After he waits for Izumi to finish, he retrieves Lexiel and carries her on his back, Duty to support him. With a weak gesture, he peels back the lava flow just enough for him to be able to cross the lava without stumbling, and slowly catches up to Halley and the rest of the folks. Wyvis...when I get back, you're gonna have to pull some weights. [The Fading(Weak) - Every 4 turns one of Visrii's abilities goes under cooldown. This effect lasts until he has time to rest or finds a mana source.]

Visrii grips his weapon tightly, about to pierce this angel through the chest. Visrii! Stop! What are you doing? Wyvis' voice whispered. About to stop a massacre. He replied. Take a step back. She might be an angel, but she's not herself at the moment. All angels are like that. No - this one's something else. ...wait. Color. Shit. She was now a threat to the mission, however. He'll have to switch tactics and try to make her see herself. Visrii breathed in. Okay. This is going to hurt. His pupils changed to fiery red as he poured all his mana into the torrent of spells. He first gripped her gauntlet tightly and overloaded it with reverse chaos, effectively shutting her mana source down. With another spell, he summoned a powerful storm of fireballs that tore through the comet hails, exploding them out of the air before they could do any collateral damage. Finally, he summoned a lightning storm, showing the crater with rain to put out the fire and lightning to fry any electric equipment the guards or witnesses had. He brought his face up close and looked Lexiel directly into the eye. If Lexiel had any mana detection at all, she would know that Visrii was speaking directly to her soul. "Lexiel." Visrii addressed her by her real name for the first time. "You are not yourself. You are hurting civilians and that is not who you are. That is not what you fight for. Wake up."

Visrii got up from the unceremonious fall down the crater. He had unleashed the float-strings just in time to catch himself from falling to death, but those 'guns'... Visrii shook his head, and held a Visrii wiped the trickle of blood running down his mouth. That 'angel'... what does she think she is? Had she not been a part of the team, he would have kicked her off the ledge back in 50 immediately. The lunatic with a twisted sense of justice had no place in the land of the living. "Congratulations, you just killed 500 innocent bystanders. Good job playing angel of justice, you fuck." Visrii growled at the murderer, with an accusing undertone. Visrii sighed. So much for teamwork. Visrii turned around and addressed the rest of the team. "Find cover - and try find a place where there isn't damn lava." With the brief warning, he threw up 2 crystals into the air. The first exploded with a shock of light, covering as the second exploded directly beneath, a rapidly expanding smoke that crystallized again mid-air, to form a floating mass of black stone that covered the massive crater 3 floors above them. That should keep the majority of the guards out for the tiny moment they get out of this place. "Let's get the fuck out of here!" He shouted as he hustled out.

Pokemon in Space [IC Chapter #03]
LucidRain replied to Bfroger6's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Kalva shakes Fredrick's hand. He seemed like a good person. Kalva's eyes lit up at the mention of a pokemon name. A stufful - he didn't see them in 02, but he had heard of them before. Fluffy doll-like pokemon. Wow, Fredrick already has a companion? He doesn't look like he's from 02 though. I guess he met them in the Academy. Kalva continues to write, "my friend is a ralts and her name is quina! she really likes painting so when i finish school im exploring with her to see knew landscapes!" He then looks at Emmanuel, then at the Aether employees with a wince. Kalva really didn't like the practice of having to 'catch' his friends. Like it tried to force some kind of false dominance over others. To him, one had to earn their friendship - and in battles, the trainer's job was to assist the pokemon in their battling. Sometimes he wouldn't have to tell the pokemon anything at all, sometimes he had to show them what to do. But never for a fleeting thought did he think he had 'dominance'. It was strangely comforting to see someone who was reluctant with the concept as he was.
