  1. Oh, gosh no. What would I want a Pokémon for? Then I'd have to feed it, play with it, socialise with it and what not. And due to there not being any other Pokémon out there for it to level up against, it'd be stuck at a low level, and therefore being pretty useless. Let's also not forget that we'd have to hide the thing from the government, so as not to get it taken away from us. So yeah, I'm gonna say no thanks to having a Pokémon, it's way too much work for too little pay-off.

  4. Oh, it's also strong and oppressive, in some metas, in others not so much. But that wasn't the point of my post. I apologise if my words were a bit conflicting, it was not my intention. Let me explain my point of view. I want to nerf the deck because it drags the game in a direction I don't like. The Control Warrior archetype is all about drawing the game out till fatigue and winning the game through attrition. This in and of itself wouldn't be bad, were matches shorter than the 10-minute average these games tend to be. If any other deck (like if Freeze Mage was more viable) was equally viable I'd level the exact same complaint against those. To me, Hearthstone is at its best in the early- and mid-game, and falls short in the late-game topdeck wars that result from attrition decks. And this is the problem, the core cards that facilitate this strategy are in the core set, meaning that Control Warrior will come back time and time again, something I do not want.
  5. -25 Oh boy Viridescent is gonna be mad when he sees this. *Sips Green tea with lemon*
  6. Is that.... a Gangster Ganondorf? Uhm, I'm not sure how to feel about that. Puzzled/10
  7. Personally I beat him through brute force by having several high quality Pokémon at my disposal to beat him with. His team isn't very tanky, nor fast. So you can use bulky mons to whittle him down slowly. Surprisingly I found the best strategy to be using Fairy types against him, and thus use the field to my own advantage. Azumaril and Sylveon pretty much carried me through the whole fight, but steel types like Bisharp can also OHKO pretty much any opposing Pokémon.

  9. The problem is that as someone who doesn't have a lot of time to play, I can only dedicate around 2-3 hours a week at most to play. Therefore in meta's where games last longer than 5-6 minutes I have a hard time completing all quests for the given week in the time-frame. Though otherwise many of my most memorable games were drawn out control/midrange matchups.
  10. And if you really want another Ground/water type, then you can get a Mudkip in this episode.
  11. I hope you're right, and that it'll stay that way. The problem is that the deck always makes a resurgence. And I'm pretty certain that the current Taunt-Warrior will slowly develop into a more control'ish direction. The thing I dislike about the deck isn't the fact that it's strong or oppressive, just that games can drag out past the 10-minute mark when playing against the deck. That's what I dislike about the deck. And on a sidenote, I've been having lots of fun lately with Miracle Jade Druid. Summoning +10 atk Jade Golems can be so satisfying.
  12. In general you can use lots of different Pokémon. I personally augmented my team to include 6 main Mons and 6 reserves I could switch in and out at will. If you want something tanky to replace Gastrodon your best choices in Pokémon are probably Milotic, Empoleon or Rotom. Tentacruel also becomes available in EP16 and can also be quite good.
  13. Control Warrior is probably the deck I hate to play against the most. And the main problem is that it will always stick around, since all the core cards of the control warrior deck are in the classic set. I deeply hope that they'll nerf it, because it's been a top-tier deck in every meta since the beginning of the game.
  14. You can also find it relatively often with the pickup ability. In general if you have a team full of Pokémon with pickup at level 80, you'll farm Heart Scales, Rare Candies, Ability Capsules (and the occasional leftover!) very frequently.
  15. If I remember correctly the Reborn Shiny rate was something like 700/6500. This means that statistically speaking you should have 95% chance to encounter a shiny Treecko over the course of 30 encounters. Perhaps you're simply super unlucky. Though perhaps Event type Pokémon may either be locked into being non-shiny, or after encountering it for the first time it locks it into that trait (can someone confirm/deny this?). You could try to just breed Treecko, and you'll have yourself a Shiny Mon pretty quickly.

  19. Again, people tend to blatantly disregard the flaws of the gen they grew up with, their first Pokemon game. And then in proceeding generations they will criticise those due to having higher standards at that point. This isn't a bad thing. It just shows how subjective the quality of every Generation of Pokemon games is. In truth every single generation has its merits, and are probably equal in terms of quality.
  20. So, here's a little story for our guest. A little girl once cried when she lost her marbles in the desert. She searched the desert for one hundred years. The little girl cried when she thought she might've lost them in the sea rather than the desert. She searched the depths of the sea for one hundred years. The little girl cried when she thought she might've lost them in the mountains than the sea. How long will it take for her to realise that she had never lost them to begin with? Convincing herself that she had lost them, she made the thought into a self-fulfilling prophecy. In turn, thinking oneself average is the surest way to become so. Be wary of your own thoughts, for they can be as deadly an enemy as the sharpest sword. Do enjoy your stay here though, since you seem nice.

  23. Okay, this is crossing the line into the absurd. I can't find it.... Can you please post a screenshot, or anything to show where exactly I need to click?
  24. Go fight the Teenage Mutant Ninja Squirtle Squad in the Main Hall. The Mega Blastoise gives 10k XP! Or the various other fun thing to fight with in there.
