I know this is kinda cliché to to say this, but give it a few more episodes, as it really starts picking up between episode 8-13. And then gets really amazing during the show's second arc. And frankly, the original Yugioh series didn't have a particularly good first season either, and only started getting good during the Dueling Tournament and Domino City arcs.

Yeah, many of the actions by the villains of Arc-V had me raising my eyebrow due to how surprising and twisted their actions are, we've gone through mind control, slavery, physical and psychological torture, and more deaths than I can count... Kinda takes you aback when considering how light hearted every Yugioh show before it was.

The game doesn't really need more characters, it has some great characters, a lot of them with unfinished character arcs. What Reborn needs is to start tying up those loose ends.

Depends on what you what you want to use them for. And Swampert kinda surpasses them all. But here's my take on it: - Whiscash: Very useless, with mediocre stats, and a Dragon Dance set with Earthquake and Waterfall the only thing that makes it even remotely useful. But even then you'll need at least 2 Dragon dances before it can do stuff. - Seismitoad: Very useful with a high HP and attack stat decent defenses, which makes it a viable Stealth Rock setter, and a good user of Knock Off and Toxic. - Gastrodon: Great defenses, and a great staller with access to Scald, Recover and Toxic, and used to be very viable on Rain Teams back in Gen 5. For now it's merely a good defensive mon. - Quagsire: Frankly, this one does everything Gastrodon does, but worse. It has access to Unaware which can be useful, but otherwise Gastrodon learns the same moves, but has better stats. Overall Gastrodon and Seismitoad are the best ones out of the bunch.

Josef, I agree with you that GX, 5D and ZeXal were not very good compared to the original series. But the new Arc-V series is just as enjoyable if not more than the original series. A new focus on interesting characters, interesting duel scenarios combined with using all summoning types and also deconstructing the typical shounen tropes implemented by the original Yugioh series combined with a dark and sinister plot with actually threatening villains and fun and engaging characters has made this new series a joy to watch. I recommend you actually try to watch it.

There are many Pokemon available throughout the game, here are some you may want to consider using: - Gardevoir: Is a good replacement for Alakazam, as it knows some great moves (Psychic, Moonblast, Calm Mind, Wish, Hypnosis), and it should be useful as Dragon Types are gonna be more prevalent in the future. - Galade is also great, learning great moves (Leaf Blade, Swords Dance, Close Combat, and Shadow Sneak through breeding with Duskull). It is a great set-up Pokemon with a fast speed and access to Swords Dance which is frankly speaking, amazing. *Lucario fills more or less the same role, and just as well. Pawniard and Weavile is also good. In general all of these are better than Sceptile. - Metagross: Again, a super defensive, but powerhouse Pokemon that can take and dish out damage easily, and has a great movepool (Meteor Mash, Hammer Arm, Bullet Punch, Zen Headbutt) and is a good addition to any team. - The Eeveelutions are also great, though without TM's Glaceon and Espeon are probably the most useful. You may want to consider replacing Sharpedo, possible replacements are Milotic, Feraligatr and Empoleon. There are a ton of great Pokemon out there

Reborn EP16 is pretty close to finished, but depending on circumstances could still take a a while to complete, while Rejuvenation EP8 just got released, and EP9 is still in the early stages of development. So in the end the OP is better off trying to replay Reju or Reborn instead of waiting for a new episode, since that can take a while. And sadly there are few (or in my eyes, none, fangames that can rival Reju and Reborn), so there isn't much else in terms of competition for those two games. I'm glad that you liked Reborn, but you'll have to wait for a bit until new releases unless you decide to repaly them.

Hmmm, by the makers of Bloodline champions? I remember playing that one for a while many many years ago, but then stopping due to not liking the format of the game. Perhaps I'll give this game a try if it ever goes on sale.
