  1. Who doesn't love ethical dilemmas? - If you saw someone slowly and painfully being crushed by a rock in the wilderness and you knew you could in no way move the rock or save the person otherwise and the person asked you to end his life, would you do it? - Is it ethical to grow fully formed, brainless clones for harvesting organs? * Is it ethical to grow fully formed clones with developed brains for harvesting organs? - There is a button and if you push it there is a 60% chance all suffering on earth will instantly cease and we would live in a utopian world but there is a 40% chance everyone in earth will die painfully? Do you hit the button? - Would you rather kill 999,999 people by shooting them individually or 1,000,000 with a button press to drop bomb? - You are a medical doctor and 5 people around you are slowly dying from blood loss. You know that they all have matching blood types. Would you drain blood from one of them to save the other 4? * Furthermore, in case you do so, how would you chose the one to sacrifice?
  2. Since you like ethical dilemmas so much... Would you drain blood from one of them to save the other 4? * Furthermore, in case you do so, how would you chose the one to sacrifice? And here's a bonus question: - Is it ethical to decide let a being like Haruhi Suzumiya exist (like Kyon decided to do at the end of Disappearance). Since Haruhi is incredibly volatile, emotional and can potentially end all life as we know it. Was Kyon in the right when letting such a being continue to exist despite her being a danger to the whole world?
  3. - What's the meaning of life? - Favorite Digimon? - Do you ever feel the need to force yourself to be on these forums or on the Showdown chat, since you're a member of the staff, despite not wanting to? - How did you find out about Reborn? - What's your weirdest talent? - Why did you decide to go by the name Zumi? Is it in any way related to Siebold's japanese name? And finally... What is the function of a rubber duck?
  4. Oh, you haven't watched digimon ;_; Fine, I'll give you one, you're Mastemon, an angel that embodies Light and Darkness, and has the power to control space-time. - How would you feel if you found out that your parents and or siblings have secretly been prominent members of these forums for the past several years without letting you know?
  5. Thunder Wave Ampharos to the rescue! Thunder wave over and over until El runs out of Full Heals and then let loose all hell upon the monstrosity.
  6. Huh, I wasn't even aware that Salamence was a problem mon. I saw it very rarely. Though then again, I only play UU on Pokemon Online, so that may be the reason why.
  7. - What is the funniest thing that has happened on these forums? - How do you feel in regards to how much drama happened during the Reborn league's run and its abillity to attract such a variety of... "interesting" characters? - Have the forums gotten less interesting than they were in the past? - What is your favorite pasttime? - What's the last game you completed? - Thoughts on the Phoenix Wright series of games? - What are your thoughts on Future Diary? - Have you played Pokémon Rejuvenation? And if so, what do you think about it? - Do you take inspiration from somewhere in regards to how you design Reborn? - Who among the Reborn Gym Leaders do you miss the most, and wish were still part of the community? - If you were to be a Digimon, which one would you be?
  8. - Btw, while Kricketune is indeed amazing, don't become too dependent on it as it will quickly go from amazing to sub par to terrible by the mid game. - There will be a very important quest after the 2. gym leader where you have to the missing police officers. You can in fact progress to the point where you lose the chance to find every police officer, but doing so will result in you losing access to the "Mystery Egg" quest, which awards you with a Pokémon Egg that contains one of 19 possible amazing Pokémon (Azuril, Axew, Drillbur etc.). Just so you don't miss this quest I recommend you follow a walkthrough while in Beryl Ward, for this part of the game to find all police officers so you can get this quest. - And also, after you've beaten Corey (the 3rd gym leader) you can start rebattling trainers in the Reborn Hall (first Pokécenter) infinitely, which should help you with any grinding you have to do.
  9. You can still learn Egg Moves, though you can't get TM's through breeding anymore. Though i don't really see this as a negative, since if we had access to powerful moves like Earthquake, Flamethrower etc. the game's difficulty would be too low.
  10. I volunteer as tribute. Though if you want to let some other people who haven't played that much participate this week, I wouldn't mind sitting out.
  11. How exactly? Throughout my playthrough (during the badge droughts where we have to face multiple gym leaders without badges) I had to switch in a 7th or 8th mon to feed XP to avoid overleveling. This wasn't necessary for the first and last parts of the game, but during the middle it was necessary.
  12. EXPLOSION! (pronounced EXPROOOSHON) Type: Explosion type PP: 1 Power: Over 9000 Accuracy 100% (No escaping from a nuclear bomb) Effect: Faints the user for the next day and decimates any opposing Pokémon and their whole team Learned by: Any Crimson Demon Wizard Also it plays this animation when executed:
  13. Its really about how well you prepare and which Pokemon you catch. The game gives you plenty of chances to catch excellent Pokémon, but unless you go out of your way to actually get those you're in for a bad time playing this game. The problem is that if you play this game like any other and just catch random Pokémon without regard for how good they actually are, they'll find themselves not very good later in the game. Its important to actually catch competetive Pokémon and use actual strategies to surpass the gym leaders of the game. On another note, I never actually struggled with any of the Gym Leaders besides Corey, against whom I had to specifically catch and train a Noctowl to beat. But otherwise most Gym Leaders were swept on the first try. Its all about what kind of them you have.
  14. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-stabmons-64272 I won my match against Sinikuro. A little too late though since despite having won the battle we have already lost the war. Know that Gaia does not curl over and let defeat come to its doorstep.
  15. 1: There's actually a location just before you arrive at the 3rd gym where all the information is gathered. Sadly its a bit remote and not easily accessable for revisits, but the information is there. 2: In the Reborn Hall (First Pokécenter) there are a bunch of trainers you can re-battle, so do your grinding there.
  16. Just read the manga, no anime adaptation is ever going to surpass it. And besides all the ongoing shows I'm watching I'm also in the middle of watching The Malancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. I can definitely see why it has such a cult following and helped push anime into the mainstream.
  17. If you want a dedicated HM slave get a Tropius from Rhodochrine Jungle, it learns Cut, Fly, Strength, Flash and Rock Smash. Everything you could ever want. If you want a flying type to replace Honchkrow there is always Archen which evolves into the amazing Archeops which you can get from the Spinel Museum event. And as for Gastrodon, the only really good bulky defensive Pokémon in the game right now are Metagross, you can get a Beldum from the event in The Wasteland, and Mamoswine, you can catch a Swinub in Ameritine Cave. Both are really strong. Otherwise you should definitely do the Mystery Egg event if you haven't done it, most of the really amazing Pokémon in the game (Azumarill, Haxorus, Excadrill, Starmie) are only available through that event.
  18. Pikachu, naturally. hopefully Pikachu gets a Mega, or an alternate forme to make it viable in some way.
  19. - Now that is really pessimistic. Do you really think that a person can't gauge their propinquity with a person through a short period of interaction which would make it reasonable to believe that the opposing person be make for a good mate if you see that the two of you have a lot in common, or the opposing party exhibits a lot of positive traits? - Have you had a negative experience during a relationship or from somewhere else that has you made you have this stance? And now to less pessimistic questions... - If you could go back in time, would you prevent yourself from getting involved in the Reborn community and tell yourself to focus on something else? - "Being cheerful when it's least appropriate is when it's the most necessary?" Did you write this line yourself or did Anna from the league use it in a post? * In general, how much of the script for Reborn is your own invention, and how much is your copying directly or being inspired by posts? - Do you consider yourself a reader? And if so, how much and what do you read. - If you saw a shooting star, would you wish upon it? - Who is your favorite character from Higurashi? And why is it Rika? - What is your favorite season of the year? - What do you think about T3RR4 as a character, and how do you feel his inclusion in the game impacted the story, considering how light-hearted of a he set as compared to previous story arcs.

Banned for actually linking to the creator of your avatar on profile. Seriously, who does something likes that? You're making everyone else on here look bad in comparison.
  21. @Lilleen You say you like Bennet as a character, but like ICSW has stated, its not as if he has shown any traits that make him likeable. He has no inherently good traits outside his determination (which he misuses for "evil" purposes"). As of this moment I find him an intriguing character if for no other reason because I see the possibility that he can develop into something more interesting in the future, but as of now he's merely a misguided teenager trying to find his way in life. Perhaps something will come of his character, perhaps not. but currently I he's the weakest villain in all of Reborn. Hopefully he'll get a redemption arc in the future, or the alternative could be that he breaks away from El and fully embraces his evil side and becomes an awesome villain... That could be an interesting turn of events for his character. But alas, it'll probably not come to be. On a sidenote, what was Bennett's story during the league, and was Serra actually his real mother?
  22. I'm not saying I have sympathy for Bennett, but I definitely can empathize with him. He really lacks some good role models in his life to actually teach him right from wrong. He's lived with his mother his whole life, who I get the feeling doesn't care for him particularly much, in a small town on the outskirts of the city, surrounded by forrests with his only form of contact with others around his age being by fighting challengers who come to fight his mother, to whom he constantly loses. So when someone comes and offers him to take him away from such a dreary place and help him surpass himself and become an "amazing" person I can definitely see why he'd come to adore and accept everything El says, since he's literally the only person in his life who's ever offered to help him in life. (I wonder whether Ame is trying to make a statement about religion prying on the weak?) But otherwise he is NOT a good person in any sense, his morals are very warped and his actions are (for lack of a better word) creepy and abnormal. But again, I feel that in this community the hate towards Bennet is exaggerated and unjustified. People don't even seem to acknowledge El's influence on the boy, and mostly just relegate him to some stereotypical antisocial creepy dude.
