Incidentally, it's not a labyrinth. It's a maze. A labyrinth is a maze designed where the goal is to reach the center. A maze is where you just need to reach the other side.

I've started my monkey run. It's actually a pretty great challenge. I got a shiny chimchar with decent stats and nature. I'm very curious to see how far this team of 6 limited types can take me.

Follow Amaria back to the park. She and Florina give you cut.

I suppose it makes sense if you're coming from the perspective that adding in the starters before any of the other 100+ is such a terrible thing. In my mind, I just don't see it that way. Alas, my opinion doesn't matter as it's not my project. So feel free to ignore . Although, I will mention that some "normal" pokemon are still not in the game that don't seem to fall into the categories you listed above. (Talonflame, Cloister, Gengar, Slowking, etc)

Every time I play a new Pokemon game, I usually plan out what Pokemon I'll get from beginning to end, and they must follow a certain theme. For example, in the past I've played with an all "snake" pokemon team (servine, gyrados, onix, seviper, mitiloc, steelix, arbok). If you look at my signature, you can see the theme of my first Reborn playthrough was a 'girl' or 'beauty' theme. So I'm looking for ideas on what other themes people like to play with. I'm currently considering a all "monkey" team, as all the monkey pokemon can be caught in Reborn City pretty early in the game, so I think it would be an interesting challenge to see if I could beat the whole game with just those 6 pokemon I caught right at the start (Infernape, Pansage, Pansear, Panpour, Primape, and Ambipom)

All or none doesn't make any sense because the game already doesn't have all. You say it would feel incomplete if just the starters were added before the other gen 7 mons, but the game is ALREADY incomplete. Everyone knows the game is a work in progress, so no one is going to care if they don't have access to all 100+ gen 7 pokemon as soon as the the starters are available. I mean we've been playing with gen 1-6 starters and not all of the 700+ gen 1-6 pokemon are in the game, so I'm wondering why it would be different with gen 7 starters.

Eh, I don't really see why I would be an all or none deal, tbh. I do understand you might have to modify the move-sets to match the game to some degree, but I don't think it's to the degree you're suggesting. Reborn already gets easier or harder depending one what starter you choose. I highly doubt adding 3 new pokemon to the start of the game would break it to the point where you have to redo half the fights. Also I think people would be more appreciative of having SOME than NONE instead of vice-versa. I understand there are other priorities in the game. Probably a long list of things still to be done. But since Reborn is basically THE game people go to because they want to choose from all the starters, in my mind it make sense to add at least the starters as soon as possible. But that's just my suggestion.

How many starters have events now? Just a few. So obviously not talking about adding them as events. Only talking about them as STARTERS.

My question was about the Sun/Moon starters only. Seems to be they would be the obvious first pokemon from Sun/Moon to be put into the game as they only have to be added to the tables at the starts of the game.

If you don't like it, it begs the question. Why the hell are you here? The story is fine. It's called being mature, not edgy. I was quite invested in the story, and I don't identify myself as emo at all. I'm a 30 company manager engaged to be married. Different strokes for different folks. It's a sign of colossal immaturity for you criticize things you don't like instead of simply ignoring them. -
I know this is a question probably better asked much farther down the road, but how soon after Sun and Moon are released can we expect to at least see the starters from them make it to Reborn?

Fun read. I too am waiting for the next episode and also waiting for Phoenix Rising to come out. None of the other fan games seem to be able to hold a candle to Reborn, but at least Phoenix Rising looks promising.

Lots of ways to beat the Garchomp even without the focus sash. But yes, this is one of the easier ways to do it. I believe I did it with the Smoochum (it also learns perish song) you can get in the cave before Shade's gym. Just soft reset until you get lucky... Dragon Rush has a chance to miss, especially on windy days.

Oops I did forget Hardy. He is a pretty cool guy. Even if he does get treated a bit like an emotional fool next to Saphira's cool headed-ness. I suppose Noel is alright too, if children count. -

Funnily enough, I thought exactly the same thing. The male characters in this game are really lacking. This is even more jarring if you play as a female character. I'm all for diversity and strong female characters, but not at the expense a realistic representation... Cal and Taka are the only straight and half-way decent male characters you ever meet in the game. While literally ALL of the bad guys on team Meteor are males, except for (surprise) their leader, who is in fact (another) badass girl. It's one thing to subtly push for an agenda in your writing, but when it become so blatantly obvious, it just shows your lack of writing skill in being able to write "good" male characters, or your overwhelming issues with the male gender. And before people start saying "What about Cain? He's an awesome male character." Actually no he isn't. The way he's written is to be more comedic than anything. The type of male character a lesbian/feminazi writer who had bad experiences with men in the past would feel "safe" around. I don't even think the way they depict his sexuality is respectful to the male gay community. Male characters are there for comedy (Radomous, Cain, Samson) or to be the bad guys (Team Meteor, Fern, Blake, the Doctor, El). To be perfectly and bluntly honest, the writing of the game screams daddy issues (Corey), male betrayal (Cal), and bad experiences with religious male leaders (El). All that to say, I still do enjoy the game. But occasionally you do get slapped in the face with the writer's agenda. But, meh, nothing's perfect!
