I think you misunderstand how the Destiny Knot works: it ensures 5 IVs are passed on from either parent. So, which parent is holding the Destiny Knot doesn't matter, the outcome's the same. The Power items on the other hand, do pass on one specific stat from the Pokémon that's holding it. In your case though, I don't think it makes a difference which mon is holding a Power Item and which is holding the Destiny Knot. It does matter, however, when you are breeding with a 6IV and a 5IV, because then you have to give the 5IV the Destiny Knot and the 6IV the Power item of the stat the 5IV one is missing (which is probably the scenario @Candy was thinking of).

As a student of Translation Studies, I always love to see initiatives like these pop up. Sadly, my mother tongue is Dutch and I'd say there is no point in translating a Pokémon game into Dutch, since basically every native Dutch Pokémon aficionado speaks English as well. I did like to notify everyone that for Spanish people are already working on a translation. If I'm not mistaken @Fernan100tifiko and @Gastronely are involved, so you could direct any questions to them. There's also a group called "Reborn Español" which is related to the translation project, even though it doesn't seem to be used very often. Edit: if people do decide to set up a translation project for Dutch though, I would love to contribute.

I haven't done any 'runs' yet, so I'm not sure whether this would be doable and stuff, but what about a "Pokémon Lottery Run"? The idea is that you would get access to a new evolution line with every new area. Using a Pokémon randomizer on the internet, you generate a random Pokémon right after you enter a new area; the species you get and the rest of its evolution line are now unlocked and can be used from now on. This way you unlock more and more Pokémon as you progress in the game, and as the battles become tougher. The specifics can vary depending on how hard you want the run to be: - In order to get started, you want to have a number of rolls on the randomizer at the very beginning of the run. (I'd say somewhere between 5 and 30 rolls depending on what you choose to do with the other specifics below and on how hard you want to make it for yourself). - You could allow yourself to trade with online players (so that you have access to rare unlocked Pokémon at any point in the game) or you could not, in which case I recommend increasing the number of rolls you get at the beginning of the run (because otherwise you might not even be able to get going properly). - If you don't draw any starter at the beginning, it's up to you whether you allow yourself to use a starter. If you do draw one or more starters, you have to choose between those you got. - Every time you draw a Pokémon you had already unlocked at another location, you could either allow yourself to try again or you could decide not to. So, let me know what you guys think of the idea!

There is no way to get a second starter before the first gym in a 'legitimate' way, given that there is no online trading system for Rejuvenation. Throughout the game, you will come across a number of starters, but if I'm not mistaken Torchic isn't one of them yet. Popplio is available late game.

Yes, generally that's a good strategy I'd say. It also depends on how you want to use your Pokémon and what moves you have. Generally speaking, I opt for Speed + Attack/Sp. Attack (depending on whether it's a physical or special attacker) for Pokémon with high base Speed and offensive stats and HP + Defense + Sp. Defense (dividing the EV's according to whether I specifically want the Pokémon to defend physical, special or both types of moves) for Pokémon with defensive potential. If you need specific advice on a Pokémon I'm always willing to provide some insights, just PM me if that's the case.

No, you don't necessarily have to lower your levels to EV train. Let's say you want to EV train your Greninja with Sp. Attack and Speed. First you'll have to use friendship berries (found on the second floor of the department store) to lower all EV's except Sp. Attack and Speeld until all those stats are on 0. Next you give your Greninja either a Power Lens (Sp. Attack EV item) or a Power Anklet (Speed EV item). I'd recommend finding a Woobat spot next and repeatedly taking it out and having it respawn. Woobat yields 1 Speed and the Power item should give you another additional 8 Sp. Attack or Speed (depending on which Power item your Pokémon is holding). When your Sp. Attack or Speed EV is up to 252, you give it the other Power item to hold and do the same. At the end you still have 6 EV left (252 Sp. Att. + 252 Speed + 6 ??? = 510 Total), so you'll want to have your Pokémon hold another Power item to fill those up and beat a Woobat one more time. Given that the Woobat are low level, you should gain too much exp. with it. To find a training spot per stat, I mostly use the following post. There's a few more, so you can always look for those posts if this one doesn't have enough options. Man, when writing there things I realise how bad I am at explaining stuff. I used Espeon with Magic Bounce to take advantage of the Sticky Web. (Also, before this battle I did not EV train my Pokémon, nor did I pay any attention to IV's and nature. So, if you're also at that stage, I'd recommend EV training your Pokémon, because it works wonders.)

Okay, so a few weeks ago I had the exact same problem. My hypothesis on what causes the bug is entering another room at the fork where Florin, Flora and Erin all choose a different Bladestar room. I chose Erin there and after having explored the room with her and having re-grouped this the rest, I entered Flora's room (the middle one) to make sure there was nothing there. However, one of those flashes that change the scenery was triggered, probably the flash that's supposed to trigger when you decide to join Flora. So I think entering another room than the one you chose (Florin-left; Flora-middle, Erin-right), triggers the bug in the elevator room. I went back to the save file from before Flora, Florin and the protagonist fall into the cave and made sure I did not explore the two remaining rooms, and it worked for me. Hopefully this helps you, and I'm sorry if my explanation is vague or chaotic. I also reported the bug in the Major Bugs V12 thread, so you can read it there in slightly different words if you have any doubts.
