  1. I spent thirty minutes arguing on the discord server about the best character in a children's party game.

I doubt anyone was emotionally hurt by that argument, but still. My life sucks.

I don't think you should feel like your life sucks if you are talking about something you enjoy. Don't be discouraged and keep doing it if it makes you feel good! Also, what game is it?

Super Smash Bros Ultimate. I was making a case for Cloud being a competitively better character than Ike.

Points against Ike: He's slow on the ground, so he's almost always going to approach from the air, and with N-air. He's predictable, and his other Aerials are no good without his N-air. Everyone has studied this character to death, and as a result, he falls short of the other Swordies, including Cloud.

Points for Cloud: Even if his approach options are linear, he still has them. Approaching with a properly spaced F-air isn't actually an unsafe option, due to a longer lasting hitbox, even if the range is lower. He still has the kill power and better damage output due to having better frame data. His Tilts are fast, and his Aerials are all inherently better than Ike's Aerials, apart from N-air.

Ike does have range, but I think Cloud is better overall.

And Again. I overanalyzed a children's party game.

All of this is from experience playing both characters. And analyzing top players. I can see why MKLeo dropped Ike.

That's nothing compared to arguments I've been in. Us Brits argue quite a lot about whether something is called a bap, roll, cob, etc. Or whether you put the milk in before the teabag/water. These arguments go on for a long ass time.
