  1. To be fair, Eli already has one of the gems, and He's working for team meteor. So, The MC really only needs the pendant. That being said, wouldn't Lin... know not to underestimate us, since, we are taking the league challenge, and have proven to be stronger than DJ Arclight and Victoria. Is she being overconfident? We only need 2 badges before we reach the point where we can use Level 100's, but even then, It's not unreasonable to take on a team of Level 100s with a team of level 90s. As for convincing us, we are supposed to side with the people in reborn. Will they make it a player choice? Furthermore, wouldn't it be easier to take it from DJ Arclight or Victoria, since they aren't as strong as the player? Making the mother of all omelettes here, kamu. Can't fret over every egg.
  2. Truth be told, I forgot this Anime even existed. I watched it first when I was twelve.

Recently, I rewatched all Four Seasons of the Original and the Five seasons of Brotherhood over the summer.

And I remember why I liked it. This Anime had an awesome world, a cast of compelling characters, a great plot, a great english dub, and awesome animation. I don't think there is a modern anime that even comes close to this in terms of quality.

The Fourth opening of Brotherhood is the best of the Brotherhood openings. The Animation is fluid, and the song sounds great despite being Japanese and making me feel like a weeaboo. In addition, I really like it when characters stand back to back, like Alphonse and Edward in this intro.

I think this Anime deserved all the acclaim that it got.

Both of the 4th openings were the best of them.  FMA (2003) was definitely a classic and was a case where the anime branching off from the manga was still incredible, and then FMAB eventually came to give the manga a more faithful adaptation.  Still one of my favorite anime series overall.

Is it also bad that I am sexually attracted to Lust?

She wouldn't live up to the name Lust if she didn't.

  3. So Beta Testing starts tomorrow. While we are waiting for the community release, Let's discuss the most important and interesting piece of Dialogue in the entire game. I even have appropriate discussion music. Since I've been comparing Lin to Sephiroth, I felt this is appropriate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myjD4zbkmNc
  4. Serra, Amaria, and Titania. I hate Slush Rush Sandslash. But Amaria has more than one pokemon with Swift Swim. That's even worse. Serra relies on evasion. I consider that Cheap.
  5. As for the Subject of Beta testing.... I'll just wait for the community release. Geez, Alpha testing was shorter than I thought it would be. Am I dreaming?
  6. It's probably because the development pace has been up for these few weeks. The Testing's pace is up as well, and It's most likely going to be until the Community release.
  7. 123 Bugs left? They more than halved it in a single night. Impressive. Most Impressive.
  8. What is the worst JRPG ever made?

    1. Commander

      Commander

I remember a discussion about this but I don't remember the name but...the worst one I played was SAO Lost Song. I just could not get past 10 minutes in that game without feeling bored.

Lunar Dragon Song was the game title now that I think about it.

idk for me I just didn't like blue dragon

@Commander I have a friend who says that Sword Art Online inspired some of his favorite video games.

Even though he fully acknowledges that the Anime is terrible and that Reki Kawahara is an incompetent writer.

  9. So, Alpha testing has 256 Bugs left? It's a lot of bugs, but... Alpha Testing might be over sooner than we thought. That's a big "Might". Sorry for getting everyone's hopes up.
  10. The most interesting exchange in Pokemon Reborn ever:

TITANIA: Are you two working together?

    LIN: Aren't we?

When was it hinted that Victoria despised the fact that the mc survived everything?

    3. uberle

      uberle

      @Mrlolster

After returning to Neo-Reborn and Ame asks you to find Arclight, Adrienn, and Victoria, when you get to Victoria she's at Kiki's grave. Her line there is "I've heard about a lot of things happening up in Carnelia, and I was really worried! But, of course, you're just fine. You always are, right?"

And after she says that last bit she goes back to Kiki's gravestone

So I may be reading into this a bit too much, but that line makes me think Victoria has a small grudge against the player for coming out of every situation unscathed, while those around them are hurt or die.

    4. Mrlolster

      Mrlolster

@uberle That's one way to see it, but I think she says "of course, you're just fine. You always are, right?" because she cares about the mc.

  11. A skilled Pichu can beat any Bayonetta.

  12. I had another one last night. I legit dreamed that in the reborn region, Julia, Florinia, and Fern were part of a eco-terrorist organization, and the destruction of the factory was one of their plots. Alice was in it too, but she was doing it because she was being paid. Oh and Alice was once a member of Team Meteor, but abandoned them due to reasons she doesn't remember. Sound Familiar? Most of us have played a video game with this exact same plot, Minus the reborn region and different characters. In fact, I've been playing it excessively for the past few months. I think it worked its way into my dream.
  13. So, whenever you hear discussions about which third party characters you want in the Super Smash Bros series, just remember.

Solid Snake started it all. And Sonic too, but his games aren't all good anymore, apart from gems like Mania.

  14. I had a dream where all the characters just constantly said “waluigi”!” Lin said it as she beheaded ame. Titania said it as she killed taka. I think it is a message. La li lu le lo.
  15. So, I downloaded a bunch of PS1 games for my PS3, as well as brought out the disks of PS1 games that I already own (which is only 2 of them: Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy VII).

Honestly, the PS1 control scheme is kinda outdated and archaic. Who uses "X" as the cancel button anymore? In modern times, it's usually "O".

It in no way detracts from the quality of the games I played, but muscle memory kinda means that I screw up navigating the menus sometimes.

    1. ShadeStrider

      ShadeStrider

The PS2 controls actually feels a lot more natural, probably because it's not as old.

Nintendo, however, has actually stayed pretty consistent with its controls even as the generations passed by. The control scheme for games like Pokemon and Super Smash Bros have actually not changed at all. (Apart from maybe one or two buttons)

  16. But despite the fact that I'm not sexually attracted to Waluigi... this still made me laugh.

I still don't care about Waluigi's inclusion in Smash, however. Am I heartless?

I'm still gonna use Pichu over Pikachu anyday. I didn't know how much I wanted him back, until they brought him back. He looks adorable.

  17. Am I the only Smash Bros Fan who doesn't give a crap about Waluigi?

I didn't even care about Ridley and the "Ridley is too Big" memes. Or King K. Rool.

  18. It's been quite a few months since that Awful Death Note live action adaptation. I rewatched it, and it still sucks.

I wonder how Near, Matsuda, Mello, or Mikami would have been trashed if they had been in this film. Thank god they weren't.

Light Turner is not our lovable potato chip-eating genius psychopath, and Black L isn't the weird but lovable detective like L in the Anime. James Turner is not the respectable investigator Soichiro Yagami.

    This movie screwed everything up.

    1. Dreamy

      Dreamy

I heard it's kind of.... ok? if you know nothing about actual death note.

      I will never watch it.

    2. seki108

      seki108

Even L: Save the World was better, from what I remember, since the L actor actually could portray L's quirkiness some from portraying L in the first two Death Note Live action movies.

@DreamblitzX It's not even an OK film. It's Incompetent on some of the most basic levels of filmmaking.

  19. So, am I right in my observation that Saphira is this game's Afro Samurai?
  20. That sounds a lot better than it actually is. The Internal Stage is probably nothing compared to how massive a challenge the Alpha and Beta testing stages are gonna be.
  21. Finally, Gardevoir gets a move that represents its Pokedex Entry in Pokemon Sapphire..
  22. She became so powerful. The only thing she was afraid of, was of course, losing her power, which eventually, she did. Unfortunately, She made her main villain so blatantly overpowered, then the villain killed her in a cutscene. Ironic.... She could save others from being axed, but not herself.
