5th time i go through reborn but first time i cant beat corey

So this is the my 5th reborn playthrough and this is the first time i cant beat corey does anyone have any advide. My team is Sylevon(got eve on wondertrade) - lvl35 Combusken(starter) - lvl 34 Grimer(caught) - lvl 29 Shiny noibat(wondertrade) - 28

When the weather is windy you need to go to where shade gym is and the kid will be there, then you need to go back walking not use any other means and you will see him corner by 3 pokemons after battling them you just need to go talk with his mum and you get teh sticker.

Im right after the second badge on reborn, and i would like to have a maril in my team, if anyone could give me one i would apreciate but if not its ok.

I like the first moveset but i dont know which one is best toxic or poison gas what would you recomend?

So i started recently reborn from the begining again while waiting for E17, my team until now consited only of torchic and a eevee i got through trade, i beat the first gym and now while going to battle the first pulse, i caught a grimer, a pokemon that i never used before, im really willing to try it out but im not good when talking about movests so what are your guys opinions.
