Make sure you get all the djinn. Sometimes there are things if you go back and revisit villages. The barrier creating djinn and Forge are the best. Use them often.

Killing a monster with the djinn it's weak to grants you extra experience and an increased drop rate (you'll see the monster flash different colors as it dies). You can use this along with rng manipulation (which is fairly simple to learn) to get rare drops from certain monsters. If you think some of this would ruin your experience then ignore it.

Have a friend with a specific team make a secret base. The best teams are those that consist of 6 level 100 pokemon knowing selfdestruct or explosion (metagross and mewtwo; the latter is slightly better but more rare and the move tutor it needs is in a gamecube game) or a team of 6 level 100 blissys (low level teams can toxic stall).

Chase down that film crew that always asks to interview you after battling. They have an Exploud and a Magneton.

Tauros is pretty sweet if you steal a Life Orb from the wild Absol that comes later.

Emolga helps. Tauros can also help if you taught it Rock Tomb.

Club Seel until you get a badge.

Electric types work nicely, especially things like Magnezone and Emolga

Restart your game, when you get your three starters walk away from them until they spawn again. When they spawn again, walk away from them AGAIN. They should spawn with a pikachu.

With low enough HP IVs, you can substitute Oran Berries for Potions, greatly saving the money needed.

Keen Eye birds absolutely decimate her team, esp with high speed. Consider bringing a Granbull in the case of her Hitmonlee

Volcarona

Volcarona, Heracross, Yanmega, Scolipede, Escavalier, and Durant are all very good. Take your pick.

Volcarona is OP. Ninjask can Swords Dance + Baton Pass with Speed Boost, which is really useful and hasn't been mentioned yet.

It main boon is the mind games it can pull. When Illusion is used well it can give you a lot of momentum

Also, Huk, IIRC the AI in the main series will see Zoroark as the type it's displayed as, not it's actual type. Although I only used it in Black 2 so IDK for certain

In-game, Discharge and Power Gem are some of the best moves for Ampharos. Dragon Pulse, Light Screen, Cotton Guard and Confuse Ray are great filler moves.

It can be pretty great with huge power as it hits hard as well as getting decent coverage with its Normal/Ground attacks (plus some fighting and Bounce)

Unless you just need the resistances fairy type offers. STAB might not be so important.

It's very strong and bulky, but it has no STAB until lv 43.

It does however get intimidate as well as decent (enough) defenses to use it.

Charm is good since in-game, they don't switch by the way so it's basically a burn they you can apply three times ((jsut no damage.))
