The 3 strike system only applies to those with 13 or more badges that have not yet beaten the league. As X-League challengers will be able to participate in Season 3's X-League right away if they choose, much like how Season 1's X-League challengers could challenge Season 2's X-League as soon as it was fleshed out. Our X-League rules are set now so X-League should be an option right from the start when that time comes.

Alright, people. I got some sad news. As you can probably gather, the Redemption League will be coming to a close. The staff have decided upon Sunday, June 11th, as our final day of league activity. It's becoming increasingly difficult for staff to remain available to help run the league, and leaders are getting burned out. We've had a pretty good season this time around, and lots of memories were made. Of course, I won't end this on such a sad note. If you recall our April Fools event, we had a 3 strike system in place for battles. On June 11th, if you have at least 13 badges you'll be allowed the very same 3 strikes and you're out system. This is to give challengers closest to the champion a sort of... boss rush challenge in hopes of becoming a champion! I realize it's somewhat unfair to only allow those with B6 access this deal, but you have to understand if we allowed everyone leaders would easily become very swamped and may not be able to get to everyone. With all that said, we do have plans for another season! So while this one is nearing its end, you'll have Season 3 to look forward to in the future. A season with even more challenges and surprises than this one! We at Redemption HQ appreciate everyone for taking on the Redemption League, and we hope you had a blast, and continue having fun until Season 2's end on June 11th!

Alright people. I have a somewhat important announcement to make. As you all know our Psychic leader, Edgar, is no longer with us due to a reckless wager he made with Haley and Helen. Granted, he would have won but... well, you know, RNG. So! We fine folk at Redemption staff are always prepared for even such cases as this. That being said I'm sure you're all shaking in anticipation wondering who will be replacing Edgar as our Psychic leader. Good news! You'll be happy to know we have such a replacement ready. It took some time to get in contact with him. Anyway, enough wasting time. I give you our new Psychic leader... Jasper! Charming, isn't he? Summary: "Bright lights, stadiums full of cheering fans, paparazzi begging for that one question to be answered. None of these things are unfamiliar to Jasper. Jasper has been a talented vocalist ever since he was a child. Encouraged by friends and family to pursue his passion, Jasper would sing wherever and whenever he wanted. Eventually he was scouted by a talent agent while in a karaoke club with his friends. Now Jasper is a successful pop star who doesn’t fail to melt the hearts of the ladies… and sometimes guys! But not everything is all glitter and glamour… the events of a certain night still haunt him. Though a famous star can’t show that to his adoring fans, now can he?" 1.No new movesets. 2. Yes you can choose an uber legendary. 3. You can replace a team member from your original team with any non legendary Pokemon in addition to the legendary you pick as your seventh Pokemon, this includes uber megas and ash-greninja. However, if you should choose Ash-Greninja you would be stuck with that as it counts as a forme change much like the Rotom formes. Meaning, no Protean Greninja.

Now that we have a champion in our midst(grats Shinyrio), and hopefully many more to come, we can provide you all with details on X-League. Officially. You'll still have your standard league rules such as only one challenge per day, and being locked into the moves you choose. However, we came up with some changes here and there that you may or may not be aware of based on public discussions we've had. Those are as follows: -X-League challengers get 1 additional Pokemon which can be a legendary and are allowed to change 1 Pokemon from their regular team for anything BUT a legendary. -X-League challengers are allowed to challenge any leader in whichever order they wish. -Leaders can use 2 legendaries of their type. All uber megas/legendaries are available to them. -Battles must be done in the X-League tier. If you have any questions feel free to ask them here, or on the Redemption Showdown channel/Discord channel.

the problem with reworking her strats is there are only really two viable strats for her. one is to attempt to overpower in singles via dd spam or just choicing everything. the second is triples tailwind. penelope has one mon with wide guard and zero with knock off. so things like p2 and alolatales give her more than a hard time. both of which a decent amount of people run. sure, theres kommo-o but that really only deals with p2 and it can bulk anyway. penelope has no reliable switch ins for alolatales or ice in general aside from turt which is booty in singles. you can run triples, sure. but seeing as turt is her only access to wide guard its easy to predict and deal with it. which means after it dies its very well gg for her. anything else is either gimmicky or c-teamy for dragon. i could go on but im really tired. i understand your thought process here but its not as simple as reworking her strats.

No. Once Charizard is on the field it has to mega evolve to get dragon typing.

So as you may have noticed Penelope has been... under performing. So the gang at Redemption HQ have considered giving her a little love tap in the buff department. Obviously, we can't give her Mega Salamence as it's Ubers. However, we thought Mega Charizard X would be just the thing she needs to help with what she struggles against. However, we wouldn't want to make such a decision without the thoughts of the people that make Redemption so great. The challengers! So, like what we did with Helen and Mega Aggron.
