First things first. Happy birthday, Poebro. It has been over a year since we joined this little community, well, I guess large community now. Anyway, you're now twenty years old. That's something else, ain't it? One more year to go and you'll be drinking like no tomorrow! But probably not. I hope your birthday is an awesome one, and may all your birthday wishes come true. *Coughs* Man, it's way too sappy in here.

Happy birthday. Don't do anything that Fred would do. Seriously, don't. That boy does some crazy shit.

I finally beat one of the lowerdeck rooms in Nonary! Take that, lasers!

All of this spawned from Kaito's status update. (18:54:23) Renzo: DAMMIT MAEL! YOU SPOILED THE MOVIE! (18:54:28) Renzo: (18:54:54) Renzo: It was gonna be a box office hit too (18:55:08) Lucifer: but i saw it coming from miles away. (18:55:12) Lucifer: =P (18:55:24) Lucifer: Lucifer is totally my persona. (18:55:30) Renzo: :I (18:55:35) Renzo: Well, Fred. (18:55:48) Renzo: We have to think of another movie to make (18:56:30) Renzo: I was thinking about a documentary on how much steak you consume (18:56:59) Renzo: Just sign this contract (18:57:05) *** Renzo hands Fred a contract *** (18:57:06) Lucifer: if it were a contest, I could probably beat fred at steak eating. (18:57:19) Renzo: Oh? (18:57:31) Renzo: That would be a good plot point (18:57:39) Renzo: Fred thinks he is the ultimate steak eater (18:57:46) Renzo: and is defeated (18:57:53) *** Renzo hands Mael a contract *** (18:58:06) Lucifer: steaks.... (18:58:19) Yame: So Xiphy, wanna explain whatcha doing to poor ol' Yamers? (18:58:51) Renzo: Oh shit. (18:58:59) Renzo: Listen Yame. It was late, and I was drunk (18:59:12) *** Renzo jumps out a window *** (18:59:22) Yame: ... (18:59:32) Silver joined the channel. Personally, I'd like the two in one release. It'd be nice to have a nice chunky bit of game play to hold me over. Also, longer waiting time would equal better results. So that's not really an issue for me.

I fucked up Renzo. So it's Prince Renzo. <<

Gym Class Rejects- A Joint RMT by Moriarty and Renzo
Joker replied to Joker's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
Yeah, and they're extremely annoying. Coming from someone who uses Genesect leads all the time. But, I can usually fit in a way to deal with them. -
Gym Class Rejects- A Joint RMT by Moriarty and Renzo
Joker replied to Joker's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
Jolly is there to outspeed scarf Genesect leads. Really serves no purpose outside of that. -
Gym Class Rejects- by Moriarty and Renzo Introduction: Hello, ladies and gentleman. Renzo here along with Moriarty, bringing you another RMT! Moriarty and I have been wanting to do a Joint RMT for a while now, and we decided to get right on that. What you'll see in a few moments is a sand team. Now before you boo us off the stage, we did try to make it a little different from what you usually see! That being said, we had to keep in mind the team being useful in standard OU play, so you still might see some standard sets, evs, etc. Moriarty's comments will be green, and mine will be pinkish. Teambuilding Process: Speed, momentum and perfect for revenge killing, Flygon takes up the lead spot for the team, although it might seem like a strange pick in the current meta he works surprisingly well! Probably the Pokemon that took the most thinking between myself and Xiph about who to fit in this slot. Although with all the holes we had in our team, Celebi patched them up entirely. You can't have a Sand team without Big Daddy, throwing out truck loads of damage on unsuspecting switch in's. Power is everything he needs to do his job, when looking for someone to bring in weather with a side order of destruction, Tyranitar delivers. Blissey here is our special wall and our support. Originally, Jirachi held this spot, but it was decided that Blissey would do the job much better. She takes all the Ice/Fire moves that Flygon and Celebi can't handle. When thinking of our brute force, I wanted the one of the biggest physical monsters in OU. So, here Conkeldurr is. He dishes out the hurt, as well as being fairly bulky. To the point to where he isn't afraid to take a few Steel or Dark type moves. To complete the synergy, we have Rotom-W. Rotom also serves as our main special attacking force, it is also fairly bulky. Rotom's typing certainly makes things easier for the entire team, providing another resist to Water, as well as another for Steel, an extra one for Fire, and a much needed resist to Ice. In Depth Look: @ Choice Scarf Trait: Levitate EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - U-turn - Outrage - Fire Punch - Earthquake Being agreed that we needed something fast and moderately powerful to deal with the infuriating lead Genesect, I came up with the idea of an original set from Gen 4.Flygon was always known for it's speedy playstyle, perfect for scouting with U-turn but can slam down an Outrage or Earthquake if the situation calls for it. We're packing Fire Punch simply to deal with any scarfed Genesect's sitting in the lead spot, stopping them from U-turning off for free. With just a single base speed point more than Genesect it comfortably outspeeds every OU threat that isn't carrying a scarf of it's own, not counting in weather abusers. With a resistance to Stealth Rocks and some decent defenses, Flygon makes a perfect lead to the Gym Class Rejects. @ Leftovers Trait: Natural Cure EVs: 140 HP / 168 Def / 84 SAtk / 116 Spd Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Stealth Rock - Giga Drain - Hidden Power [Fire] - Recover With nobody able to take a powerful Fighting hit, we needed some form of physical wall. One with reliable recovery that could lay down Stealth Rocks would have been perfect, luckily Celebi exists and is able to do all of those things and more. Given enough speed and special attack to take on Breloom and Scizor, both of which can be huge problems to the team. If that wasn't enough Celebi is also a great check to hard hitting threats such as Landorus and Keldeo. Overall, a great addition to the team with amazing synergy and does it's job perfectly. @ Choice Band Trait: Sand Stream EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Crunch - Stone Edge - Superpower - Earthquake Needed to bring the Sand onto the field, his main use is giving the enemy as much hell as possible. Giving a Choice Band to Tyranitar boosts his already insanely good physical attack, but also ensures KO's on most Pokemon that don't expect the level of hurt. Having a Choice Band also gives a higher chance of being able to kill off opposing weather users, but makes him significantly weaker. @ Leftovers Trait: Natural Cure EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Toxic - Seismic Toss - Softboiled - Heal Bell Shouldn't be anything new to the eyes. Blissey can be quite the annoying Pokemon, probably even more so than Chansey since she has the advantage of lefties support. In sand, that's even worse. Maximum evs in def and special defense ensures that Blissey can take a couple physical hits as long as they're not super effective, and still being able to wall those special hits too. Her hp wasn't that big of a concern seeing as it's already sky high. Toxic is there to slowly kill opposing walls that aren't immune to it, as well as just adding on to her overall annoyance level. Seismic Toss allows Blissey to break through Subs assuming she's not against a ghost type, while Softboiled provides amazing recovery alongside lefties. Heal Bell is there to take care of statuses, and is extremely useful if Conkeldurr gets burned, since we're not running Guts. @ Leftovers Trait: Iron Fist EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Substitute - Focus Punch - Ice Punch - Mach Punch I'm sure this is a set no one sees often, at least not on Reborn. Which is the main reason I insisted on using it. Substitute|Focus Punch Conkeldurr is a monster! Full evs in hp and attack along with lefties support allow Conkeldurr to make subs for days, as well as hit harder than a truck. Seriously, you bring your Skarmory out on this thing, watch it cry. Ice Punch is there for hitting other physical walls, such as Gliscor. It also helps deal with Dragon types like Dragonite, or Salamence. If that wasn't enough, another famous Fighting countering wall, known as Xatu, gets destroyed by Ice Punch. Finally, we have Mach Punch, which is there mainly as priority, it also greatly helps with opposing sand teams and the Pokemon that inhabit them. Namely Excadrill. @ Choice Specs Trait: Levitate EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Volt Switch - Thunderbolt - Hydro Pump - Hidden Power [Fire] Last, but not lea- Okay, I guess he is least. I think.. Whatever. Rotom-W here is the man with the special power in the team. The set is pretty common outside of Hidden Power Fire. At least I think it is. Anyway, 252 evs in speed and special attack allows Rotom to deal big damage to a lot of things, especially with Choice Specs. In my opinion, Rotom here is the best check to Rain teams, being a fairly bulky guy, he can take all kinds of resisted hits. I mentioned Rotom solely because of threats like Tornadus-T, Kingdra, etc. Volt Switch keeps up the momentum alongside Flygon's U-turn, and Hydro Pump is for nice devastating STAB. Thunderbolt is for extra powered STAB, but mostly just filler. Lastly, Hidden Power Fire is there as added coverage against Steel types, mainly Ferrothorn. That's all folks. We hope you enjoyed our RMT, and we look forward to hearing your thoughts! - Sir Moriarty and Sir Renzo~

As though you carry your hearts in the very palms of your hands. But this eye of mine perceives all. There is nothing that it overlooks. If this eye cannot see a thing, then it does not exist. That is the assumption under which I have always fought. What is this "heart"? If I tear open that chest of yours, will I see it there? If I smash open that skull of yours, will I see it there?" -Ulquiorra Cifer, Bleach. "Listen up. You can pour drinks on me, you can throw food at me.... you can even spit on me. "People live their lives bound by what they accept as correct and true. That's how they define "reality". But what does it mean to be "correct" or "true"? Merely vague concepts… their "reality" may all be a mirage. Can we consider them to simply be living in their own world, shaped by their beliefs?" -Itachi Uchiha, Naruto. "Peace under an illusion is not true peace. It's only meaningful if the real world manages to accomplish it." -Gaara, Naruto. "You don’t understand anything, do you?! The most important thing isn’t power, it isn’t courage, it isn’t even having friends! The only thing that matters is that you can rely on ME." -Black Star, Soul Eater. "The name's Satan. God of the demons, and your one and only father. You can call me "Daddy" if you like! Gyahahahahah!!" -Satan, Blue Exorcist. Probably will post more later on. These are just some of my favorites.

Can we have a discussion about Darkrai after Kyurem-B? <<>>
-
The scarf set shouldn't be as big a problem since the power difference that band would have is way different. Also, I realized that Swift Swim+Drizzle is a thing here. That said, I change my stance. I guess we'll just see more scarf mence and scizor's being used, if anything. EDIT: Thought it would be a good idea to give calcs for Breloom and Scizor against Kyurem-B. Breloom: 255 Atk Life Orb Technician Breloom Mach Punch vs 0 HP/0 Def Kyurem-B: 65.98% - 77.49% (2 hits to KO) 255 Atk Technician Breloom Mach Punch vs 0 HP/0 Def Kyurem-B: 50.64% - 59.85% (2 hits to KO) The sash version would probably be the best bet against taking out Kyurem-B. Assuming that Rocks haven't been set up, of course. Scizor: 255 Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor (+Atk) Bullet Punch vs 0 HP/0 Def Kyurem-B: 82.86% - 98.21% (2 hits to KO) Scizor could take a scarf outrage plus anything else Kyurem-B decided to dish out, a prompt 2HKO, OHKO if you have Rocks up. There are other pokemon such as Conkeldurr, Salamence, and Dragonite that could possibly revenge kill Kyurem-B. Salamence would be the best option being that it is much faster, and would make great use of choice scarf. Kyurem-B is kinda OP, but I suppose it can be dealt with the proper preparation/pokemon. Also, Skarmory and Ferrothorn both take neutral damage from ice, so that could prove bad if your opponent predicts the switch into those. The band set is the most threatening, but as others have said, OU is a fast paced tier, so it would need that scarf, thus it would be powered down a little. Rain is also extremely common, as is Kingdra, and even with a choice scarf, Kyurem-B won't be outspeeding that seahorse at all. That's all the "checks" I can think of. I guess I'm done with this until voting. Peace.
-
Hmm. I think Kyurem-B should stay Ubers. While it doesn't have the most wide movepool, it can cause a lot of damage with what it does have. For example, Porygon2, one of the best Eviolite users is 2HKO'd by a banded Outrage, which is common way to use Kyurem-B. 255 Atk Choice Band Kyurem-B (+Atk) Outrage vs 255 HP/255 Def Eviolite Porygon2 (+Def) : 54.55% - 64.17% (2 hits to KO) 255 Atk Choice Band Kyurem-B Outrage vs 255 HP/255 Def Eviolite Porygon2 (+Def) : 49.73% - 58.56% (2-3 hits to KO) One was Adamant, and the latter was Jolly. As you can see, both did a shit ton. Skarmory and Ferrothorn would be the only walls in the OU metagame to be able to effectively take a hit from this thing, as everything else is either OHKO'd, 2HKO'd. Swithing in those things also poses a problem because even though Skarm and Ferro are such beasts of walls, a banded Outrage still does a ton to them. 255 Atk Choice Band Kyurem-B (+Atk) Outrage vs 255 HP/255 Def Skarmory (+Def) : 33.53% - 39.52% (3-4 hits to KO) 255 Atk Choice Band Kyurem-B Outrage vs 255 HP/255 Def Skarmory (+Def) : 30.54% - 35.93% (4 hits to KO) Either way, Skarm is taking a heavy hit, your best bet would be to phase it out, but even so, Skarm would have took two of those Outrages... As for Ferrothorn, the calcs are about the same. Except Ferro has Iron Barbs, so it would at least be able to hurt it a little from that. 255 Atk Choice Band Kyurem-B (+Atk) Outrage vs 255 HP/255 Def Ferrothorn (+Def) : 33.24% - 39.2% (3-4 hits to KO) 255 Atk Choice Band Kyurem-B (+Atk) Outrage vs 255 HP/255 Def Ferrothorn (+Def) : 33.24% - 39.2% (3-4 hits to KO) As for revenge killers, Breloom and Scizor come to mind. I remember fighting Serra's Kyurem-B in X-League, and OHKO'ing it with a banded Bullet Punch from my Scizor. I'm not sure if I got lucky or not, but with that in mind, Scizor would be the best revenge killer against Kyurem-B. Breloom also works. That is just the basic stuff, I'm sure when weather comes into play it's a whole other story. but I have to get to class so I can't type anymore.

Will is such a boss. Good lord.

Darkrai for OU! or Skymin lol

Mudball will be probably be a mixed attacker, as I need a pokemon that can surf. His nature is perfect for that. Also, I got a Ghastly just a while ago, but I'm too lazy to post a screen shot of it. It is level 10 with a lax nature, I think. Not the best, but certainly better than careful. At least for the role I'm using it for. And yes, Ikaru. MudBallMan. Who was also an elemental pain in the ass. <<
