  3. Either Arceus or RNG must have some really crazy love for me. As of this new Reborn run I've started yesterday, in alll my save files so far, my mystery egg quest awarded me a Larvesta. Like, is Volcarona supposed to be my spirit mon or something ?

  4. Once the fight is over, you're forced to retreat and backtrack through the tower. That's when you can see it, though I can't remember on which floor.
  5. 10/10. That Darkrai in the background is creepy yet badass.
  6. Sadly I can't find where it was stated but according to Ame, the Splendid, there was indeed a Fairy type reserve leader in game who went by the name of Vermillion. They didn't survive the whole Jasper/Beryl incident, and the player never interacted with them. The Ralts you get from the corrupt pokéball sidequest belonged to them btw.
  7. Your usual chill, guitar dude. At least that's how I see him. Plus he's introduced into the story dissing Fern almost instantly.
  8. Just because something happened to you doesn't really mean it can happen to anyone. Self control is a trait that varies from person to person. I have a seriously nasty temper myself. I hate to admit it, but it's ridiculously easy to tick me off depending of the situation, but it never really got the best off of me. You like Cal and obviously Zuko because you can relate to them on a personal level, and that's fine, but not everyone can see those characters as you do. Zuko to me is weak-willed extraordinaire. I'll never forget that shitty move of his on Iroh. Up until the crystal catacombs he was indeed my favourite character, but when he sided with his bitch ass sister to earn the approval of the guy who deformed his face, betraying his real father (Iroh) in the process, the character died for me. I can't relate to Zuko, but that's me.
  9. I can't really disagree with some of your statements, I even stated that he did change, but the whole "not unusual" thing kinda irks me tbh. Those sentences could really give the impression that just because certain things aren't unusual, they are universally acceptable and understandable. I can't really understand why a dude would waste precious time in defining his whole existence in opposition to his brother's - a brother who's great at not giving a damn, no less. Wether the whole thing about harming a kid while under the excuse of "anger issues" is forgivable or not, is a matter of opinion. To me, hardship and problems don't just build character, they reveal character, and the mistakes and flaws of character in a person's past serve as proof of what that individual is capable of if they break or stray from a better path. Do I respect one's efforts to better themselves? Yes. Do I turn a blind eye to past behaviours I find reproachable? No. To me, a person's past can speak almost as loudly about themselves as their present, it's part of them. That's why I'm not a fan of the whole redemption stuff in culture. It forgets the past too quickly and easily.
  10. Healing Solaris because his reasons for being monstrous are understandable (his means and ends still aren't acceptable, by any means), and he's the most wholesome character amongst the game's villains in terms of development and depth, and therefore the best villain so far. Concerning Cal: I've read a couple of posts in this thread talking about redemption, of how popular and yet boring a theme it is, so it baffles me, to see an utterly cliché Zuko wannabe character, your usual family/self-esteem issues-good boy-gone bad being so popular. Cal is LAME, imo. From his whole onesided competition with his brother to his hurting and traumatizing a kid, he shows he's a pretty miserable fellow. Too worried about besting his brother, too self-centered to realize that emotional matters may be too much for kids to understand. Yes, he changed eventually, but as soon as a character hurts a child for merely failing to understand his petty inferiority complexes, that character oversteps a rather serious boundary, at least to me. I can't put up with Cal really. I'd rather have more Serra, Aya, Luna, Samson and Ciel than Cal.

  12. You get it from Serra, the ice gym leader, as a gift after you've beaten her.
  13. Well my favourite is Scizor, but since a Charizard always ends up on my team whenever I can get it, and usually delivers the finishing blows as a late game cleaner, I think it's more deserving of being called ''signature". Before Solar Power, I'd place it on my team mostly out of nostalgia, then gen five came along, and I had so much fun wrecking stuff with Solar Power + Life Orb Charizard, then gen VI gave it those two awesome megas - which I love dearly btw - making Charizard even cooler and also unpredictable. In Reborn, I run a sun team on my main save, and Charizard is the team's Ace with proven merit: Destroyed Shade. Soloed Kiki. Who's Serra? Soloed Samson. After I've gotten rid of their fields, Charizard ruined both Titania and Amaria. To sum it up, it always performs beautifully, so it always has a place on my team.
  14. From what I can tell, updating the obtainable list is done when testing begins. So, if any of the remaining 6 non legendary lines are to be implemented into ep 18, or if any changes in previously obtainable mons take place, once testing starts, the updates to the list will likely be done - although considering how few pokémon are left (excluding legends) I don't think the previous ep's "find the new addition" game could take place.
  15. When it comes to people who deal with depression, it's pretty easy to picture them as sad puppies. They need lots of the purest kind of love and velvet gloved care. That view is sort of right, for a few of them and even then, that treatment should only be given at the right time, because some of these people have no idea how to react to displays of genuine care, understanding and kindness. The line that separates a depressed and suicidal individual from a selfish, sadistic and callous sociopath is very thin, almost entirely proverbial. The only difference is how they respond to potential triggers.
  16. The Beldum event can't be triggered until after you beat Adrienn, since Metagross alone could murder xyr team. After you beat the fairy leader, however, the event will play out as normal (heal at the wasteland hideout and so on and so forth) In case anyone is wondering, Ralts can be obtained as soon as you fly back to the renovated city.

    Vs Amaria

Fixed for you. But seriously this is a great strategy. Problem is keeping the mole safe until you manage to set up the field, switching only after you've done so. One should also avoid sending Excadrill out while Swampert is still game, for those Earthquakes will kill it. Edit: Ninja'd

    Vs Amaria

Those two scenarios are more than likely to happen, but with prediction, we could always play around them, like thunder waving Kingdra first, taking away it's swift swim and ensuring ninetales better chances at dealing with it. Freeze dry is the deadliest bane to two of the most fearsome mons she can have: Swampert and Kingdra. Freezing the water surface really seems like it will be a very effective aid towards her defeat.

    Vs Amaria

I can't really say much about how I'd deal with her, since I'd probably change or conceive tactics after I got a feel of her team, but Magnezone is most likely a great mitigator to some of her difficulty and mine is being trained sporadically just in case. Another option is trying to change the field to your favor, A-Ninetales can be a sweet team mate too, since it gets blizzard as vulpix, nasty plot by relearner and freeze dry by breeding, if we get Aurora Veil, it's very likely to be a huge help. One thing I can say for sure, however, is that op's post made me hype even harder about Amaria's battle, which is the match I've been anticipating the most after Sapphira's, since monowater rain teams can be hell to beat, even more with those busted field effects.
  20. Those two things are a major expectation of mine. The broken weather really hampered some very wanted events from my new run on ep16, so I sorta abandoned it. And Bennett. And Fern. My pixelated shoes really miss the butts of those two. But I suspect that our next fight with Bennett will probably happen with him as a E4 member, as I don't think poor Laura will be getting her position back.
  21. That's why I said Mimikyu is the real trouble. Disguise tanks one Shadow Sneak, then Mimikyu likely use Swords Dance, from then on, it's a sure two hit K.O, even with Aegislash in shield forme. Greninja can't do that, but anything bulky enough with access to earthquake will still kill Aegislash regardless. Edit: If you're using King's Shield yes, if you're trying to attack, no. As for Greninja, Aegislash will tank Dark Pulse and with Sacred Sword, even unboosted, will very likely kill it. As someone said above, Aegislash is about prediction and mind games. There are ways to make the A.I. deal with it, which are far more convenient than restricting the entirety of a gym leader's or a boss's team with fire type coverage, which will hurt the potential of some mons. Edit2: @Norm, I understand your point, and I pretty much agree with you to an extent, since Toxapex, Clefable and Chansey (some very challenge damaging pokémon) are all available, and I don't want to derail the topic any further either, so putting hypothetical scenarios apart, I want to clarify that: -I didn't mean that Aegislash being a mind-game pokémon is a flaw, but that thanks to that, it's probably easier to counter it's impact in the game with coding, by improving the AI. Sure it's not a perfect solution, and a certain degree of coverage must still be met when building teams, but Amethyst stated that there will be further AI improvements next ep; Scizor on the other hand is far more limiting. Run fire moves on more than one pokémon or it's over. Plain and simple. Ame could give our opponents a rocky helmet or some other way to spam chip damage, but all those tactics will fall short of a true hard counter.
  22. Of course, but what will happen when Aegislash decides to attack? That's when you counter Aegislash, when it switches into it's blade forme, and since priority favours the statistically faster, both Greninja and Mimikyu (especially Mimikyu) can be it's downfall just like any pokémon with access to Earthquake and sufficient speed.
  23. Aegislash has weakness to priority, so if your timing with King's Shield is not right, Mimikyu, Protean Greninja or any other powerful Shadow Sneak user will deal with it pretty easily. Again, if you don't account for it's Stance Change, earthquake can be it's downfall, and since many of the meteor thugs have that move on their arsenal... As cited by Azeria, four moveslot syndrome can cripple Aegislash, but since it can have unresisted coverage with Shadow Sneak/ Sacred Sword that won't be much of a problem.
