Elekid. I don't think electric will be the easiest type to do a mono and, as a physycal atacker, shinx's movepool will be very limited during the early game.

I was wondering whether it would be a good idea to set a "rush hour" for random battles, i.e.; a time and day where people know there will be others requesting random battles too. Maybe something like every sunday from 3:00PM to 4:00PM ET, so time zones don't become an issue for people in europe..?

I always find out about TMs and move tutors available through online battles. I just battled an umbreon who had protect and wanted to know where can I find it.

I don't think rivals will be an issue most of the time. But some Gym leaders will. I honestly think is not possible to beat reborn for the first time without ever losing a single battle, just like it's imposible to play pokemon online without ever losing. Gym leaders have very effective,and also unexpected strategies sometimes. You have to bring the right counters for them and send out your pokemon in the right order; there's no way you can get this right EVERY TIME by chance alone (Unles you research what awaits you before gym battles, which takes a lot of fun out of the game in my opinion). Good luck and don't let a couple of defeats get to you, reborn is not supposed to be that kind of game anyway.

(I don't think HG/SS count as merit for the IV Gen, just like FR/GL don't count as Gen III, in my opinion) 1. Gen II - Best game. Full of great content and great pokemon designs (They didn't overdo it). 2. Gen I - Nostalgia might have something to do with this, but it's definitelly top 3 no matter what. Not all designs were perfect (looking at you hitmonchan), but they were original and consistent 3. Gen III - Great pokemon and interesting enough story. Up to this point everything seemed to come together perfectly with the exception of the beauty contests.. Great starters. 4. Gen IV - Some great pokemon too (Mostly new evolutions from old ones), BUT this is when they started over doing it a little with a few of the designs. Legendaries officially became Digimon and gundams. 5. Gen V - Here's when it started to go south for the regular beasts.. There were some great pokemon, but they started to look more like Digimon.. There was a drop in simplicity in favor of "over-the-topness". starters were a disaster. 6. Gen VI - More Digimon and ridiculous designs but some good mons were included (as always). Starters were a disaster. 7. Gen VII - Weirdest pokemon ever.. Alola forms are interesting but half the beasts seem to be legendary digimons (There's an over excercised moskito man that looks like the evil monster from a power rangers episode for god's sake..). Worst starters ever created.

Use the trainers in the grand hall (Top right). The one that appears on October 14 has a nice team consisting of swampert, charizard, sceptile and mega gardevoir. Best strategy is to use exp share, a fast pokemon with destiny bond and let it die (A strong pokemon with explosion might work too). that way all the EXP for defeating a Lvl 85 swamert will go to the pokemon you're training, for example
