All we did was steal the identity and the undies of some duke/other person of importance. It didn't help that we're changeling whose natural form is too horrifying and eldritch to describe properly.

I have used a banded Scizor (more powerful than life orb) and its technician banded bullet punch is enough to wreak havoc. Setting up swords dance is dangerous because of the fire weakness (and probably unnecessary, as Scizor's Atk is out of the tables and it could have killed regardless of swords dance), but there are very little pokemon that can survive more than one technician banded bullet punches... It makes sense Scyther is not still in Reborn, because Scyther is very affected by pollution, so a stable Scyther population could take a while to develop. Also, you have to note that the current Pinsir and Heracross population is very strong, and that is an added problem for Scyther. That's obviously made up by me, I just wrote what came at my mind. xDD Edit: whoa, didn't saw all the answers... give me a second... Okay

Hi! Lately, I've been more active around here (I think the hype has something to do...), and despite I'm registered since last year, I never introduced myself until now (didn't saw the reason, as I'm a first class stalker I wasn't an active forum member). First of all, please excuse me for my shitty English, I come from Spain and we in Spain hate England since the emp... ahem, and years have passed since I took my last English class, so I hope that's enough for an excuse. I discovered this wonderful game last year (that's why I registered here by then) and I'm still absolutely amazed by it. What a piece of art! I'll skip describing why I think it's the best pokémon game ever made because it will be excessively long, and this is an introductory post... So I was saying I come from Spain. I'm currently an undergraduate Physics student (Astronomy and divulgation focused), and hope to finish this year (finally!). Also, I'm a little "freak" (surprise, madafakas), so I would like to know if there is anyone here that shares any of this with me (it's nice to find people like oneself from time to time...): does anyone else play jugger? Do you like anime or manga? Has anyone participated in a LARP event? Can anyone recommend any good music? I love Avantasia, Epica, Nightwish, Yuki Kajiura and the like, but I'm pretty stuck with those... Does the keyboard of anyone else have a malfunctioning "k" so writing in English is twice as difficult for a non-native? I really admire you a lot, @Amethyst, for being able to say things so reasonable and moderate despite all the pressure and stress that I can imagine you could being through, because as far as I know, you develop this game, another game, you are on youtube and on this forum too, and I assume you also have a life and things to do out there, you know, away from the PC screen, from time to time, in the so-called "real world"... yes? You are truly an amazing person (and heck, I wish I had 1% of your time management ability. I'm terribly terrible at that...). Thank you for sharing your time and work with all of us. Those are good points, but you cannot build an entire team around a weakness (well, you can, but you shouldn't). I was just searching for a possible explanation to why Scyther will not be in EP17. In my mind it sounds right.

Probably we will have Scizor after Hardy. Scizor against a rock team could be dangerous. I suppose we could say the same for Metagross or Bisharp, but Scizor has no other weaknesses than fire, and I can't see any fire in a rock gym... Anyway, what I really wanted was a Scyther...

I will for sure use Vikavolt and Golisopod, probably I'll finally complete a decent mono bug team. Bugs are great: Larvesta, Golisopod (Araquanid is another possibility), Pinsir (please, let it be mega. Or moxie. Moxie pinsir is fine), Vikavolt (or maybe Galvantula, I have one already), Yanmega, Variable mon (Shedinja, Ribombee, Armaldo, Shuckle...) If only we had scyther! Have anyone tried eviolite scyther anywhere? It's a BEAST! On the other hand, I have been training pokemons I find cool whenever I got bored, so now I have a box full of LV.80 mons full EV trained and some weather or field teams. My current team consist of: Cloyster, Roserade, Yanmega, Flygon, Arcanine and Bisharp (or any other that goes well with the situation). Yes, it has no strategy whatsoever, but I'm playing with the ones I like (I know that's not wise in reborn, and believe me, it's been HARD), but I don't really feel like changing anyone there. I'll make the mono bug team just because I like bugs. xD

Well, sorry, it was 1.9. I just wanted to know the sound plugin so I could search for a solution myself, and thought this was the thread to do so because I use wine too, but I'm not precisely on a mac: I'm in a creepy, tearing apart install of Arch Linux. I have downgraded the package and in wine 1.8 the sound works fine. Thanks for the advice.

Hi there. I'm testing Reborn on wine 1.19, and there is no BGM. In Windows, I have noticed that for some sounds the program calls some sound plugin (it appears briefly in the taskbar while loading the sound, e.g. when the character hits some obstacle). So I wanted to ask what is that plugin so I install it in wine.
