Well sadly (but not too sadly because I think I pumped out like 15 episodes this month of this) the next episode will be the last for a while. Need to rest up my creative thinking and also Christmas is right around the corner. But this episode was the planned finish for this year. So that'll be good at least. And yea. The snow sucked but luckily, I was able to beat Blake in just 2 fights.

I hopped atop of Stantler and had it run as fast as it could back through the mountain and back into Blake’s apartment. It felt awkward being on top of it while riding down an elevator but there was no time to waste. As soon as the elevator doors opened, I had Stantler go as fast as it could to wherever Cal was. Luckily, he wasn’t far. When I caught up to him, he was talking to Blake and by the sound of it, whatever Cal was saying, Blake had heard enough of it. Blake: Holy fuck. Enough already. I thought you used to be whiny back then but this? You’ve outdone yourself now. Cal: Nothing I’m saying of for your benefit. You asked me a question. I just answered. Blake: Well lesson learned. Never ask you anything again. Matthew: Yo Blake. Get prepared to get a beat down. Blake: While I would love wasting my time with you, I’m a little busy. So peace. Cal: Wait! Just then, 2 Team Meteor Grunts flew up into the sky and landed right next to Cal. I was surprised he didn’t flinch or something with those 2 just plopping down next to him like that. Blake: Naw. I ain’t staying. But hey, whatever you need to talk about, I’m sure those 2 will be happy to indulge you. I’m outtie. -leaves the area- Matthew: Your brother is a real piece of work Cal. Cal: You don’t know the half of it. Come on. Let’s beat these 2 quickly! Cal: Now get out of here chumps. I’ve put you behind me. Team Meteor Grunt #1: So we see. Do you think you’ll get away with it? Cal: Like it matters to you? Matthew: Yea. Get out of here! Team Meteor Grunt #2: As you wish Sayonara! -leaves along with the other Team Meteor Grunt- Cal: Thanks for your help Matt. Matthew: No problem but we’re not done yet. We just got started. Cal: You’re right. It seems we have a chase ahead of us. Matthew: Where do you think Blake’s going to? Cal: Up to the peak to rendezvous. There’s no way I’m letting him get there! Matthew: Hold up. Get up here and hold onto me. We’ll get there faster! Cal: Good idea. I helped Cal climb up on top of Stantler and then had Stantler run off towards the summit. This was much faster than if I had to have wait for Cal to run up here. In almost no time at all, we caught up to Blake but 2 more Team Meteor Grunts were standing guard. Cal got off of Stantler and walked in front. Cal: Stop already! Matthew: Yea! Make it easier for yourself! Blake: Kay, LOL. Matthew: Wow. You’re really such a kid aren’t you? Blake: I don’t care what I am. You know these guys are just gonna keep coming here right? Just give up already. Matthew: No until we take you down and get the Ring back! Blake: I bet you wouldn’t be so high and mighty if it was just you facing me. But for now, ta-ta. -leaves the area- Cal: Tch. Arrogant as always. Let’s do this fast. Matthew: You got it man! Team Meteor Grunt #1: Think that’s good enough for them? Team Meteor Grunt #2: It’ll have to be but let’s get out of here! I’m freezing! The 2 grunts then ran down back the way we came. Heather came flying down on her Salamence. This made me think of the 1st time I saw her in that jungle down in the Jasper Ward. Matthew: What’s up Heather? Cal: Ahh. So you’re Heather. Heather: Just busting a few Meteor dummies and yea. You’re Cal right? Shelly told me about you. Matthew: Good. Getting more acquainted with the team. Heather: True but no time for that right now. There’s a lot more of them in the air unit than I expected! I’m not sure which is the main helicopter but 1 of them has their leader! Cal: Is that so? Well we’ll just have to shoot them all down until we find him then right? I’m game for that. Alright Charizard! Get ready! -gets onto his Charizard- I’m comin’ for you Solaris! Heather: I’m gonna go help! Matthew: Wait! Where’s Shelly? Heather: I dropped her off a bit up ahead. Matthew: Alright good. You 2 take care of Team Meteor up in the air while me and Shelly deal with the ones down here! Heather: Sounds good! See you 2 in a bit Matthew! Let’s kick some butt! Heather flew off. I rode to where Shelly was and met up with her. She started to talk to me but I could see 2 Team Meteor Grunts swoop down behind her. Matthew: We’ll talk later! Right now, we got trouble! Behind you! Shelly: Huh?! -turns around- Where’d you 2 come from?! Wait! No! I’m not gonna be scared anymore! Matthew: Ready to team up again Shelly? Shelly: Of course! Shelly: We won! Team Meteor Grunt #1: Hm! No difference to us at this point. Ta-ta! -leaves the area long with the other grunt- Shelly: We should hurry! Matthew: Yea. No telling how close Blake is to the top. Here hop on! I helped Shelly hop up onto Stantler and then we both rode off on it further upwards the mountain. We could see a couple of grunts up ahead. I looked back to her and our eyes met. We nodded our heads. I had Stantler stop immediately. Shelly jumped off at the same time Stantler stopped and landed in front of the grunt. We both battled the 2 and won the battle. The 2 ran off and I helped Shelly come up again. We continued more upwards until we finally met Blake again at a cave entrance. Shelly hopped off. Blake: Jeez kid. You really don’t know when to quit do you? Shelly: Give us the Ring and we will! Blake: What a fascinating declaration. Mr. Grunt, what do you think? 2 grunts swooped down from the sky. This shtick was starting to really get on my nerves. Team Meteor Grunt #1: She needs to learn some manners. Team Meteor Grunt #2: We can teach them to her. Team Meteor Grunt #1: You go on ahead agent. Team Meteor Grunt #2: Solaris has almost arrived. Blake: GG easy. Peace. -leaves the area- Matthew: Is he starting to get on your nerves Shelly? Shelly: Yes! Let’s beat these 2 and follow him! Team Meteor Grunt #1: Ha! Even if you win, it’s gonna be too late. So sorry. -leaves the area with the other grunt- Shelly: Alright! I’m going ahead! Matthew: I’m gonna stay behind for a minute to make sure no Team Meteor people try to come up this way. Shelly: Alright. I’ll see you in a bit! Shelly entered the cave and headed for Blake. I stayed at the entrance for just a little bit. When I thought it was good to go, I hopped back onto Stantler and entered the cave. But as I was about to go through it, a familiar voice shouted out to me. Aster: Matthew! Matthew: -turns around on Stantler- Aster? Aster: I finally… caught up… to you! Matthew: Aster… What are you doing- Aster: Fight me! Matthew: Aster… I can’t… Aster: Fight me damnit! Matthew: I can’t! Aster: -flashes the HM for Waterfall- Then fight me for this! You need it right? Matthew: Maybe in the future but- Then I remembered about Titania and Amaria. Even though I didn’t think they could survive that fall, the only way I knew I could get down there safely was to use Waterfall to get down there. Matthew: Fine… Aster: Good! Let’s go! What are you waiting for?! The battle was surprisingly tough. I was always used to fighting Aster alongside with Eclipse. It felt weird just battling him alone though. Aster didn’t seem all that too upset though. He seemed kind of glad about it. He walked up to me and handed me the Machine. Aster: Here. As promised. Matthew: Thanks… Aster, I- Aster: You need to pretend you took it from me by force. Matthew: What? Aster: Or… Or just consider it a gift from Eclipse. I don’t know if that’s what she would have wanted. And I don’t know if it’s right. Matthew: Aster… She’s proud of you. I know it. Aster: I hope so. I at least feel better about it. You know… she always talked about changing the world. Me? I was just taking orders. Matthew: You don’t have to feel bad about yourself for that Aster. I may not like you being in Team Meteor but when I heard what happened in your life… I could at least forgive you for that. Aster: Well, not anymore more Matt. Matthew: What do you mean? Aster: Since she’s gone, I’ve been thinking about it. Matthew: About what exactly? Aster: The world. It does need to change. But… But just not- Matthew: Team Meteor’s way? Aster: Heh… Yea. Not their way. See, I thought if I could beat you… maybe once, if I used all my strength and Eclipse’s too… Maybe I could be the 1 to fix everything. But it looks like that’s your job now. Maybe he was doing this all for Eclipse or maybe he really did feel like that. Or maybe a little bit of both. Either way, I was glad I found a friend in him. I had Stantler continue through the cave. When I made it to a way out, I hopped off Stantler and walked the rest of the way up. When I got to the top, I could see Shelly somewhat trembling with Blake staring at her with a smile on his face. I walked up beside her. Matthew: Shelly! Are you ok?! What happened?! Shelly: I’m s-sorry Matthew… I tried taking him on myself but I c-couldn’t beat him… Blake: Pfft. Did you really think you could beat me runt? Don’t kid yourself. Matthew: It’s alright Shelly. You did what you coudl. And don’t worry. I’ll make sure to knock him off his pedestal. Blake: For fuck sake. You’re pretty annoying. You know that? Matthew: I’ve been told that but I don’t really give a fuck. Blake: Well how about you just chill out? The battle was difficult. Plus the fact that we were battling on top of a very snowy mountain and that powered up his moves didn’t help. But after a long, hard fought battle, I came out victorious. But even in defeat, he didn’t seem like he cared. Blake: Ohh well. Not like it matters now. Matthew: What do you mean? Blake: I can hear them coming. We all looked toward the sky. A big helicopter was coming down towards us. It landed on the mountain. Shelly: Wait a minute! Matthew won the battle! Blake: So? Shelly: D-Doesn’t that mean you have to give us the Ring? Blake: Seriously? Just because I lost a stupid Pokemon battle doesn’t mean I gotta give you 2 jokes anything! You’ve already lost! My rides here kids! Shelly: P-Please! Heather absolutely needs it back! Please don’t take it away from her! Blake: Ohh… Well… I guess since you asked so nicely, I’ll just give it right back. Shelly: R-Really? Matthew: He’s being sarcastic Shelly. He’s just trying to hurt your feelings more. The doors opened and Blake was about to get in until Heather on her Salamence and Cal on his Charizard came rushing in on him. With him being distracted trying to not get hit, Cal was able to get the ring. The 2 then came back. Blake was pissed. Blake: The fuck do you think you’re doing?! Cal: Just setting things right. -tries to attack Blake again- Blake: -dodges- Jesus fucking… Christ! I get it already! Cal handed over the Ring back over to Heather. Blake was about to get into the plane until Shelly remembered something. Shelly: Wait a minute! Wasn’t the sleep spell on Agate supposed to be controlled from up here? Blake: LOL. I don’t have a clue about that. Whoever told you that baited the lot of you hard. Anyways, I’m blowin’ this popsicle stand. See ya! -gets into the helicopter and gets away- Matthew: Should we go after them or…? Cal: No point. He’s just an annoyance. Matthew: You can say that again. Cal: Solaris didn’t even show his face. But on a brighter note, it looks like the day is ours. Heather: Hey. Everyone? I just wanted to say… thanks for your help… Cal: Of course. But I’m not finished yet. Heather: Definitely. Matthew: Until Team Meteor is officially disbanded, no one’s finished. Heather: True. Anyways, I’m gonna get the rest of the food out to the people of Ametrine but I’ll catch up with you guys later! Shelly: Can I help? Heather: Aye-aye! Of course you can! You can ride with me Shelly. Shelly climbed aboard of Salamence and the 2 of them flew away. I waved good bye to them. I was glad that they could spend more time with each other. Cal flew his Charizard closer to me. Cal: Is something wrong Matt? Matthew: Well the real reason I came up here was to find that sleeping spell on Agate but if what Blake said is true then I have no idea what to do next. Cal: Well I’ll say this. What Blake said about Agate City? I don’t think he’s lying. Well, at least this time. Matthew: Really? You do? Cal: They were just getting to those plans when I cut my ties with them. I don’t know the details. On top of that, there’s no base up here that could maintain a signal of that strength. Matthew: But… that doesn’t make sense. Cal: Whoever told you that was probably lying. Matthew: Lying? But why would Terra lie something about that? Cal: Ahh… Terra. Matthew: Wait… Why did you say that as if you knew her? Cal: I do know her but only through Team Meteor. She doesn’t seem the type but she’s actually a skilled programmer and system hacker who’s been working for them since before I was. Matthew: So all this time... she was working for them. Cal: Yes. They’re so different and yet, for some reason, she seems to favor Terra. Matthew: That’s almost unbelievable. I hopped onto Stantler and had it go as fast as it could to get to Agate Circus. I was furious that Terra not only lied to us but also was part of that evil Team Meteor. As I went around the city asking people if they saw a girl with pink hair, some of them either avoided the question or started to talk about some kind of guardian angel. It was interesting or frustrating because I wasn’t getting any answers. Even if it was just a no. But the only thing I figured out was that whoever this mystery person or guardian angel was or whoever was not to be mentioned by their real name for it could mean danger to them. I asked just about everyone in the city and had come up with basically nothing. I decided to search for Shelly. But of course, with my luck, I couldn’t find her. I was starting to get frustrated but also worry. Then I saw a weird looking building. Remembering back to what Shelly said to me, something told me she’d be there. I walked up and inside the building but was shocked to see no 1 in it. But a split second later, Shelly came rushing into the building. Shelly: Matthew! Matthew: Ohh Shelly. There you are. I was starting to get worried that something had happened to you. Shelly: I’m sorry… Matthew: It’s ok. So what’s up? Find anything? Shelly: Except for some kind of guardian angel, nothing. Matthew: Yea. I’ve been getting the same thing. We should warm up in here a bit before we continue. Shelly: Yea. I’m feeling a bit cold. We looked over some part of the room. This place felt weird. Like as if something horrible happened here. Shelly then told me that a boy told her that 2 girls had died here. That feeling then doubled adding to the weirdness. I then looked over to the corner and was shocked to see a PULSE Machine. I ran over to it. Matthew: No fucking way. Shelly: Matt? What is it? Umm… “Dear Diary, Now Mama has gotten very sick too. We moved to Ametrine to get away from the polluted city but the doctor says it may already be too late. She’s been staying up all night, always reading and researching to see if there’s anything that could be a cure. I’m really glad that she cares about me so much but I don’t want her to push herself too far. What if she gets sick too? Maybe it would be better if I died sooner. She says that is she can amplify her Pokemon’s healing potential, maybe it could cure my disease too. Eve has always been really smart but if something like that is possible… I would be so happy! If anyone can do it, she can. I’m so afraid to hope but I can’t help it. Maybe I have a chance after all. Maybe I’ll be writing to you for a very long time Diary.” Matthew: That’s… I don’t know what to say. If someone could build something like that, that’d be awesome. Shelly: It would but… I don’t know if gets any better. The next entry is… “Dear Diary, I’m scared. Today, a man dressed in black showed up at our house. He said that he had heard of the machine my sister was making and he wanted to use it for his organization. Evelynn was going to refuse but… I’m so stupid… I got in the way and he used me as a hostage against her. Now poor Evelynn has to do whatever he says, otherwise he says he’ll kill me. Why is it that every time I hope things can be ok, they go horribly wrong?” Matthew: Ohh my Arceus… Team Meteor. Shelly: So they forced this Evelynn to make PULSE Machines for them when they were initially made to amplify Pokemon’s healing abilities? Matthew: Figures Team Meteor would take something like that and make it so that Pokemon would destroy instead of healing. Is there anymore entries in that diary? Shelly: Yes but… this is weird. Matthew: What is? Shelly: The handwriting here. It’s changed. So unsteady. “Dear Diary, I’m sorry. This is going to be my last entry. It’s really, really bizarre but there was an accident with Eve’s machine. She was applying the finishing touches for a test run and something went wrong. Because of the machine’s energy, the Magneton she was testing it on accidentally evolved during the test… and then because if the evolution, the machine went haywire. Oh, did you know, Diary, that when Magneton evolves, its 3 parts fuse into 1? … I don’t know how it happened but… The machine transferred that energy into everyone who was nearby… And when Magneton emerged a Magnezone… I was looking at my own body, like it was a mirror or something. And I could hear Eve’s voice and that man’s voice and they wouldn’t stop. They still don’t stop. Eve says the machine’s energy accidentally fused the 3 of our consciousnesses into 1 body. I don’t know what’s going to happen to Evelynn and I- our bodies that is. They might die without us… But it seems that we’re going to have to leave. I hate this. But it’s stupid. I hate this so much… I got what I wanted. I won’t die. And I won’t be alone again. Ever.” The last diary entry struck me hard. I knew exactly who these people were It was Lumi, Eve and Zero - ZEL. This is why when we 1st met, Wehttam could feel 3 souls within 1 body. This was shocking. I couldn’t believe it. Shelly could see the look on my face and got concerned. Shelly: M-Matt? Are you ok? Matthew: I… I know who this is about… Look, this doesn’t involve you. Don’t get yourself into this mess. Ok? Shelly: If you say so… Still, that doesn’t tell us where Heather is. We just stood there for quite sometime. Suddenly, the door flung open and someone walked in. This dude was allllll blue. I mean his hair was blue. His eyes were blue. His clothes were blue. His heart was probably blue. ???: Hello? Shelly: Ahh! Hi! We definitely weren’t reading any diary! Matthew: -whispers to Shelly- Calm down or we’ll be in trouble. ???: Riiiight. Don’t care. This place ain’t for visitors. What are the 2 of you doing here? Shelly: N-Nothing! Matthew: We came in here to warm up from outside. We were looking for someone. Shelly: O-Ohh yea. Umm… Have you seen a young girl, a little shorter than me, with pink hair? ???: Can’t say that I have. Wait a minute. Aren’t you the Gym Leader from the Lapis Ward in Reborn City? That’d be a surprise. Shelly: Matt! That’s not a nice thing to say about our friend! Matthew: I’m just kidding Shelly. I’m sorry. But you might have a point. We should go talk to the boy. The 2 of us ran out of the building. I followed her lead and eventually came up to the boy. We started to ask him questions about this Guardian Angel. He told us that if anyone were to tell who it was, they might not be able to give out food because whoever was taking care of her would get mad and she would be in trouble. I asked him who the person looking after the Guardian Angel was. When he said Blake, me and Shelly looked at each other. If the Guardian Angle hadn’t been seen for a few days, then that meant that she was found out and was in deep trouble. The boy actually helped us more by telling where he lived and unlocking the door for us but ran for it as soon as he did that for us. This Blake dude must have been a real douche if this kid acted like that with just the sound of his name. The 2 of us took the elevator up to the top floor. When we got to the top floor, we walked out and saw Blake playing videos games. I was shocked to see it was the dude who yelled at us to get out of the building just a bit earlier. Shelly asked him over and over where Shelly was but Blake would never say. Finally, he shut the game off and turned to face us. Blake: What did you 2 want? I wasn’t paying attention. Matthew: Ugh. Where- Shelly: Please tell us where Heather is now! Blake: Ohh that. Yea I dunno. Matthew: Dude, seriously? Shelly: Don’t just shrug this off! You lied before! You said you didn’t know a girl with pink hair but you definitely know who Heather is! You were supposed to be taking care of her! Blake: Ohh yea? Says who? Matthew: Well if you’re letting her crash here, you do idiot. Blake: Ooo. That hurt my feelings SOOO much! Anyways, I never said anything about taking care of her. Just watch over her. Me and Shelly started to search the area. I found 2 parts of a key and opened a cabinet which had some power cables and then popped a disc out of the game console. I took the 2 over to the computer that was in his bedroom. When the power cable was plugged in and I put in the program disc, it asked for a password. I didn’t know it so I looked around the apartment for clues. Blake was a weird person. Kept notes of numbers hidden everywhere in his apartment. I went back to the computer and typed in a couple of guesses before getting the right 1. I heard something move and then Shelly scream. Shelly: It moved! It moved! Matthew: Shelly?! I ran over to where she was. I was glad to see she was alright but I noticed an entrance going somewhere just in front of her. We both entered and were back inside Ametrine Mountain. We followed the pathway through the mountain until we came outside. We looked around and finally found a little shack. The both of us ran up to it. We knocked on the door as loud as we could but nothing happened. We were both worried. Shelly: Can you hear me Heather?! Matthew: Heather, answer us! We’re here for you! Shelly: Or… would you respond even of you could? Matthew: Shelly… Shelly: No. It doesn’t matter! We have to get this door opened! Matthew: But how? It’s locked. Shelly: Umm… I don’t know… D-Did we really come all the way up here for nothing? Matthew: No. We didn’t. We have to have faith. Faith in her Shelly. Heather returned her Salamence while Shelly returned her Yanmega back. A few seconds later, Heather came out. Tears were swelling up in her eyes. I could tell she was happy to see Shelly and vice versa. I was too. Shelly ran up to her and they both embraced in a hug. It was such a precious moment. The 2 then began to talk about their friendship and forgave each other. She even apologized to me. I didn’t ever feel like she was mean to me though but I accepted it to be nice. Matthew: I’m really happy to see you too Shelly but we need to hurry. Heather: What’s wrong? Shelly: We need your help. Blake has your Ring? Heather: Mom’s ring? Matthew: Yea… Son of a bitch just stole it right from me. Shelly: And now he’s trying to turn it over to Team Meteor! Matthew: They’re sending an air unit up here now to get it. We need to stop him! I could tell that the 2 of them wanted to spend at least a bit of time talking to each other with just each other. Matthew: You know what? I watched for a couple of seconds and then started to head down towards the city to catch up with Cal. This whole thing was about to go down. After resting up in the PokeCenter, I left and went back to the building I woke up in after being knocked out by Hardy. As I got closer, I saw Shelly out in front. Cain and her must have gotten back from Agate Circus already. Matthew: Hey Shelly. Shelly: Hey Matthew. Ohh. I-Is that your Stantler? Matthew: Somewhat. I saved it and now it lets me ride around on its back but I never caught it so… You know. Shelly: Well it’s very cool. Especially since it’s shiny. Stantler: -goes over to Shelly and nuzzles her and licks her cheek- Matthew: -chuckles- You 2 will make good friends. Ohh yea. Is Cain in here? Shelly: Yea. We got back not that long ago. Matthew: Alright. I’ll get the HM and then we’re gonna leave for Ametrine. Shelly: Alright. Sounds like a plan. I walked into the building. Cain was there along with Hardy, Noel and Anna. I walked up to Cain. He handed over the HM Machine for Dive. We hugged each other and then I left. I got Shelly and then her, me and Stantler started to walk back to Ametrine Mountain. It was a long trek but it was a nice walk. Shelly and I talked about what happened when the group split up. And I eventually told her about me and Laura splitting up. She didn’t know what to say but with her company there was enough for me. Before too long, we were inside the mountain. We went in search of the giant iceberg. We finally found it. Shelly looked up at it. It was massively huge. Shelly: Wow… That’s huge. Matthew: Yea. It is. Alright. Here’s what we’re gonna do. You and Rudie are gonna stay here. I’m gonna have to go for a dive into the… frigid… cold… waters… to get into this thing. And then I’ll see what I can do from there. Shelly: Well… Ok. I guess that’s just a good plan of any. Matthew: Rudie, make sure you help Shelly out if anything or anyone tries causing problems for her alright? Stantler nodded its head yes and I went in search for a body of water. When I found it, I brought out Clawitzer and surfed on it to the middle of the water. Then I had it use Dive. I braced myself for the cold water engulfing me and boy was it cold. It was FREEZING! I had Clawitzer move as fast as it could through the water below. When we made it to a certain point, I had it resurface. I gasped in that sweet air but also cursed it for it made me even colder than when I was underneath the water. I looked over and could still see the giant iceberg. I then had Clawitzer surf across the water until it reached the end and then had it dive again. It was so, so cold. Clawitzer moved as fast as it could in the water. I couldn’t take it anymore and had it resurface. This time though when we resurfaced, we were somewhere else. On closer observation, I was inside of the giant iceberg. I got out of the water and right in front of me was a machine but not just any machine. It was a PULSE Machine. And what was on it? A giant Avalugg. When it noticed me, it roared out in pain. I felt bad for it. The machine seemed like it was going haywire. I didn’t want to hurt the Avalugg but there didn’t seem to be any other way to free it. So I had to battle it. After the battle, the Avalugg freed itself from the machine and bashed away the giant iceberg. Finally, the path was freed. I felt good about it but was also freezing myself to death. Shelly was now visible. She ran over to me. Shelly: Matthew! Are you ok?! Matthew: B-Besides being very cold and v-very wet, yes. Shelly: Well hopefully, you’ll feel warm soon. Matthew: M-Me too. Shelly: So what happened? Matthew: T-There was an Avalugg attached to a P-PULSE Machine. I fought it and it was a-a-able to free itself and crashed down the iceberg. Shelly: So… this is 1 of the Meteor’s PULSE Machines? Matthew: Yea. I’ve had to shut down a c-couple of them. Shelly: But… isn’t it strange? Matthew: What do you mean? Shelly: I mean Team Meteor wanted to block off the mountain right? But wouldn’t they put it literally anywhere else? Matthew: Maybe they thought no 1 would be in-insane enough to dive underneath water. Shelly: Maybe… But there’s dozens of choke points in the paths they could have chose to easily block. This is such an open space. Matthew: Hmm… That is true. Shelly: It doesn’t make much sense but then again, maybe it’s just me. Matthew: Well whatever the reason, you ready to go find Heather? Shelly: Yes! Let’s get going. The 2 of us ventured the rest of the way up the mountain. It was quite tricky since there was ice all over the place along with me freezing but my clothes were starting to dry at least. We finally got to the top and exited the mountain. We walked up to the city. It was different. Wasn’t used to seeing snow everywhere. It was definitely a scenery change. Shelly: Brr! It’s cold up here! Matthew: I’m pretty sure I know this. I had to dive into almost frozen water remember? Shelly: Ohh yea… Sorry. Matthew: It’s ok. So what should we do? Shelly: Well no matter what, I’m definitely finding Heather. Matthew: Me too. Shelly: We should split up and ask people around her if they seen anyone that fits her description. Matthew: Alright. Sounds like a decent plan. Shelly: And then after we talk to everyone, we should meet up somewhere. Somewhere… suspicious. Matthew: Umm… why a suspicious place? Shelly: Why not? I’m going to look for something like that once I’m done though! Good luck! Shelly ran off to try to find information on the whereabouts of Heather. I found it odd that she wanted to meet up at a suspicious place but then again, this was the 1st time in a long time I saw her really enthusiastic about something. Yea. That took me like 50 tries. Probably less but still. And I tried my best to not spam healing/reviving but I probably wouldn't have been able to beat this Gym Battle if I didn't. And I didn't forget. It's still not technically apart of the team. More like a... Pokemon Traveling Companion. But I think next time I'll make a separate thing for it and include it for the rest of the episodes.

The moment I heard Blake, I felt like I had gotten punched in the stomach. Both me and Shelly looked at each other. We both knew that was bad news for Heather. Now the mission to get to Ametrine City just got a lot more meaningful. Cain could see the look on our faces. Cain: Something wrong with that? Would you sacrifice my life over some stupid ring? I stumbled over my words not knowing what to say. I was filled with anxiety with all of this happening. But then I looked up at Charlotte. She gave me a quick wink. I knew what I had to say then. Matthew: I’m sorry Charlotte but yes. I would. Charlotte: How could you Matt?! I’ll steal the ring to save myself then! Charlotte then snatched the ring out of my hand, although to be honest, I wasn’t holding very tightly. Hardy seemed puzzled by everything that was going on. Charlotte then told Team Meteor to meet her at the Power Control Center. Charlotte ran away and Sirius went back dragging Aya along with him. I looked over at Hardy and could see the anger in his face. He rushed over to Saphira with his face very close to hers. Hardy: What is your problem?! You know what? No. I don’t expect anyone to care about her like I do but you could at least try giving a damn. Matthew: Hardy, please- Hardy: Back off mate! You’re no help here! Saphira: Do you have any siblings? Hardy: Do I- Huh? Yea. A sister and you 2 are basically the same. Saphira: So you’re not close. But when you’ve been through as much as my sisters and I have, you learn to have absolute faith in each other. That’s all we have and if we doubted that, we’d have nothing left. Hardy: Well I’ll give you this. That’s some kind of absolute faith you have. I don’t if you noticed or not thought but uhh… Your sister just ran off with the ring, which the only way to save Aya, because YOU got her upset! Saphira: Nope. What she did was just save Aya. For the time being at least. Hardy was confused by this. Saphira explained to him that if we had given the ring to them, they would have no problem killing people. So they didn’t think we had anything left of value, they had no reason to threaten Aya’s life. Saphira then asked me to confirm it and told me to go to where she said she was gonna go. I decided to go and check even though I knew she was right. I made it to the gate of the city and saw Charlotte sitting on a chair with a cocky smile on her face. Matthew: You’re something special Charlotte. Charlotte: Thank you. Glad you caught on. Matthew: If you didn’t wink, I probably would have at least a 50/50 shot at that. Charlotte: I’m glad you made the right decision. If we had done that, they would have more power and encouraged that kind of behavior. Rewards and punishment really. Matthew: Yea. I’m still sorry about that. So you need to use Dive huh? I don’t know who’s bright idea it was for a Fire Gym user to enable a Water Type move but whatever. Matthew: Yea… That is weird. The hell? Charlotte: But hey. This is gonna be my 1st proper battle in mom’s Gym. I gladly accept your challenge. I wanna see how strong you;ve become since we last saw each other. Matthew: I know exactly how you feel. Charlotte: We should do it now while Team Meteor is distracted. Charlotte left and I prepped myself up for this Gym Battle. I had a feeling this would be the toughest Gym Battle I would have since being here. I ran over to the Gym but as I was about to go in, I heard Saphira yell. I ran over to see what was going on. On the other side of the psychic barrier, I could see Sigmund. Dr. Sigmund: Ahh. You’re here as well Matthew. You seem to be doing well. Matthew: No. Don’t talk to me. Saphira: Yes. You should be focusing on me. This barrier right here Sigmund is your life right now. And when it goes out, I swear on my own life, I will seek you out and strike you down. Dr. Sigmund: Yes, I’m well aware of your threats. Saphira: Ohh they’re not threats. They’re promises. I listened in as the 2 continued to throw insults to each other. It was kind of scary to hear Saphira threaten Dr. Sigmund like that but I knew in the end that he deserved it. I decided to leave them alone and go to the gym. I got there and went inside. I kept the Stantler inside even though it seemed like it wanted to come inside. I went in and went to the computer and touch the screen. Ame’s face popped up. Ame: Ohh hey Matt. Seems like you’re at Charlotte’s mom’s Gym ehh? Matthew: Yea. It’s hot in here. Ame: Niiiiice. Anyways, Charlotte uses Doubles like she did in her qualifying battles. Matthew: That sounds like it’ll be annoying. What else? Ame: If she’s anything like her mother, she’s gonna use a lot of Eruption and Heat Wave attacks. Matthew: Great. Double hitting attacks. Ame: That’s not all. Those will set the arena on fire which will power up her fire type moves. So you either extinguish the flames or literally fight fire with fire. Good luck Matt! With that, the screen went black. I started up the steps and was introduced with the puzzle of this gym. It was kind of like the “walking on all the ice once but don’t step on the same ice twice or else you’ll fall through” puzzle. Except this time, if you stepped on a tile twice, you’d burn your foot off. Luckily, I was lucky enough to not have that happen. I finally made it up to Charlotte. I stood on the opposite side of the arena. But just as Charlotte was about to say something, I heard a familiar Pokemon noise. Matthew: Hmm? -turns around- Rudie? What are you doing in here? Charlotte: Seems like he wants to battle. Why not use him? Matthew: Well I mean… he’s not really mine. I haven’t caught him in a PokeBall. Charlotte: Well that’s alright. Just don’t use 1 of the Pokemon inside your PokeBall. Matthew: Well I guess I could do that… Well Rudie? You ready for your battling debut? Stantler: -jumps up and down and licks my face- Matthew: I’ll take that as a yes. Charlotte: So what do you think of the gym? Matthew: It looks pretty nice. Charlotte: Yea. She had pretty good taste. It probably already shows but my mom was a Fire Type Gym Leader. Honestly, I didn’t mean to take after her. It just kinda… connected. Matthew: You ok Charlotte? Charlotte: The flames started to spread… at 1st, I was confused and scared. But then I realized what was happening. There was nothing I could do. So I just accepted it. Matthew: Accepted what to be exact? Charlotte: My parents death… But then I saw how really pretty they were… The fire I mean. Matthew: Uhh… You’re kind of scaring me Charlotte. Charlotte: When you realize you’ve done something that terrible, you have a choice to make. Matthew: And those would be? Charlotte: Accept the guilt or live with that burden for the rest of your life. So I accepted it. Matthew: Charlotte… I’m so sorry. Charlotte: It’s ok. I wasn’t interested in regret. You might think that I would have been traumatized by finding out I killed my parents right? But I didn’t. I embraced the flames. Fire is destruction. Destruction is beauty. When there’s nothing you can do about the creeping flame, just sit back and watch the show. So Matthew, I’ll put on a marvelous show for you! Just give into it already! The words Charlotte spoke kind of weirded me out but I didn’t have time to to feel like that, we had a battle to get too. This was a real tough battle. Probably the toughest Gym Battle I had ever had since coming to Reborn. But after a long, long battle, I came out victorious but just barely. I was also impressed with how good Stantler did. It knew some pretty good moves and the damage it did onto her Pokemon was great. Charlotte looked up at me and smiled. Charlotte: Nice job. Close match but it seems I’m still powerless. Matthew: You kidding me? You were the hardest battle I’ve had so far? Charlotte: Well thanks Matt… Maybe I’m not entirely free of guilt after all. Matthew: You’ll be alright in time Charlotte. Charlotte: I know… But it doesn’t matter right now. Here. This Cinder Badge is yours now which means you’ll be able to use Dive now. Matthew: Yea. I can save the people of Ametrine now. No worries. In fact, you should be awaking very soon. Matthew: Ohh. Well good then. So where have you taken us this time. Just seems like the top of a building. Wehttam: Ahh yes. If you would, turn around and look below. There is more to this. I did as Wehttam had asked me to do and turned around. I saw the whole building that we were on top of. We made it to some stairs and were just about to walk up them to get to Calcenon when a huge blast came from out of nowhere and almost hit Cain directly. Unfortunately, the stairs were totally destroyed. Matthew: Holy shit! Laura: What was that?! Aya: Oh my god! Cain! Are you alright!? Cain: I’m fine but holy moly. Whatever that blast was just barely missed me. Aww. You DO care. Aya: What? I do not! Hardy: Whatever that blast was, it came from over the city. Something’s going down. Aya: And to add to that, something’s coming down too. All of us looked up towards the sky and watched as the figure flew closer to us. As it got closer, some of us were able to notice who and what was coming down towards us. Matthew: Wait. A Dragonite? Isn’t that- Laura: Saphira! Saphira: Are you all ok?! Hardy: We’re gine but what’s going on up there? Saphira: Team Meteor had occupied Labradorra City and is using PULSE Machines to control the area. Matthew: I know some things about PULSE Machines. I was able to put some of them down. Saphira: You’re gonna come in handy then. Hardy: Ohh yea. We heard about the PULSE Mr. Mime on the news and we came to help. Saphira: I wish that was the only problem but not anymore? Laura: What’s going on now sis? Before Saphira could answer, a blast could be heard towards, what I only could assume to be, the city. Saphira flew back up with her Dragonite and fired a blast back. She then came flying back down to us. Aya: What is that? Saphira: That is Team Meteor’s assault. Now they have a PULSE Clawitzer seiging Calcenon from afar. Matthew: PULSE Clawitzer? Pfft. I doubt it’s stronger than my Clawitzer. Saphira: Don’t get a big head now Matt. Now as you can all see, I can deflect the attacks. But there’s collateral damage as you can see. I apologize for that. Cain: Ohh don’t worry about it. It’s fine. Just saw my whole life flash before my eyes. It’s no problemo. Aya: So basically a split-second porno? Cain: With slightly better dialogue. We all started to walk east as Saphira said to get to Calcenon City. As we made it to the bridge, a shot fired at the bridge destroying it. Aya, Stantler and I had luckily not been on the bridge when the blast connected. I could not say the same for Hardy, Cain and Laura however. I helped Aya back up to her feet and then we both looked down at our 3 fallen allies. Matthew: Holy fuck! That was close! Aya: Cain! Hardy! Laura! Are you 3 alright?! Laura: Ow! I landed on my back! It was an awkward silence except for Stantlers once in a while grunts and noisy hooves. I could see Aya seemed confused about something though. Aya: So… why don’t you just put it in its PokeBall? An Ursaring and Machoke were beating it up and I battled the 2 and made them run away and then I helped heal up Rudie here. And when I went to come back to the circus after finding Hardy, it was outside waiting for me and offered me a ride on its back ever since then. Aya: Ohh wow… That’s a sweet story. I can see why Rudie really likes you. Have you ever battled with it? Matthew: No but that’s up to Rudie after all. Aya: Hmm. You’re really kind to your Pokemon aren’t you? Matthew: Yea… They’re my family. So yea. I am. As we were making it up a hill, we heard another blast attack hit something. When we continued forward, we could see another bridge had been destroyed. Most likely another stray blast. We were both annoyed by this because it probably meant we would be coming into the city later than sooner and it was already starting to get dark. We found another cave and ventured into there but as we got in more, we saw a pair of some Team Meteor Grunts. We engaged them in battle and surprisingly worked rather well together. Maybe it was because I had a couple of Poison Types on my team or maybe we just clicked well when battling together. But when we went into the next cave, we found ourselves in some kind of beaten down warehouse kind of place. It seemed out of place here. Matthew: What is all of this? Aya: I have no clue. I thought it was just supposed to be a random cave but… this is way too strange. We continued through the cave and continued to battle more Team Meteor members. There were quite a lot of them but we were able to get through them. As we continued to walk, I wanted to know the relationship between Hardy and Aya. Matthew: Soo… I ain’t your brother and I’m not the time to pick on you. So be real with me. Are you and Hardy together? Aya: No! I mean… Of course not! Matthew: Aya, like I said, not gonna make fun of ya. Aya:… Ok fine. Yea. We are. Matthew: There. Now was that so hard to admit? Aya: Shut up. -chuckles- Matthew: Hey. Matthew: It’s ok. Something’s eventually gonna happen. We continued to walk through the cave but once again, we came upon the warehouse like area. Aya was about to walk through a door but I stopped her and motioned for her to hide on the corner of the door while me and Stantler hid on the other side. I peeked into the room and could see only 1 Team Meteor grunt but I knew who it was. Since I couldn’t see any other grunts in there, I felt more confident we could take this person out. Matthew: Alright. You ready Aya? Aya: Yes. Matthew: Alright. And Rudie, just in case, stay in here. If I need you, I’ll shout out to you to help alright. Stantler licked my face, which I took as it agreed to me. Aya and I walked into the room and walked upwards to the Team Meteor Grunt. Turns out there were 2 more but that didn’t bother me. At least for now. Matthew: Well, if it isn’t you Eclipse. Eclipse: Ohh good. It’s you. Aya: You 2 know each other? Matthew: We’ve been in battle before. And if you’re here, that means that- Aster: Well lookie here! Look who showed up! Matthew: Yep. There’s Aster. Aster: Hey! I’ve caught onto you Matt! All those nice things you’ve said to me were just to distract me so I wouldn’t be able to catch onto what you were doing! Well not anymore! Matthew: Somehow, I don’t believe that. Eclipse: You’re right to think that Matthew. Aster: Grunt! Go for back-up! Team Meteor Grunt: Y-Yes! -leaves area- Eclipse: Aster, is that really necessary? Aster: I know exactly what you mean Eclipse! Eclipse: I don’t really think you do. -sighs- Let’s just get this over with. The battle came to an end and I was so thankful for having Aya here. If she wasn’t here, I would have for sure lost this battle. But I could tell something. Eclipse didn’t put her all into this battle. It was as if she wasn’t even trying. But what happened next shocked me. Eclipse: I’m done. You 2 win. Aster: No Eclipse! Don’t give up! We fight to the end! For Team Meteor! Eclipse: Let me rephrase that. I’m not done. I’m quitting. Matthew, Aya & Aster: What?! Eclipse: And I’ll prove it even further that I quit. Matthew and… other girl, I’ll even turn off the PULSE Clawitzer ofr you. Eclipse went over to the computer screen and punched in a different keys and the screen read “PULSE Clawitzer deactivated.” Me and Aya looked at each other. While this isn’t what we came here for, we had done something really good to help with the fight against Team Meteor. Eclipse: That’s what you came here for right? Matthew: Actually- Aya: We just got lost and wandered in here. Eclipse: Ohh… Well I’m glad you did. I wanted to do that. Aster: I don’t understand. What in the hell are you doing Eclipse? Eclipse: Seriously man? I LITERALLY said it 3 different times! You really are that dumb aren’t you? Aster: But I… Why?! We were going to change the world together! Eclipse: Yea. Well, I’m backing out on that now. This is not the change I wanted. Since we’ve joined, all we ever seem to do is hurt more and more people. And Pokemon as a matter of fact. We may have been assigned to guard the power station for it but I can’t just sit here and make my dad in Schrodinger’s Meowth. Aster: Who’s what now? Eclipse: And ever since I was teamed up with you, I’m pretty sure I lost IQ points. Eclipse seemed to really be giving it to Aster. Aya and I were contemplating just sneaking out but just as we were about to, Eclipse started to talk about Team Meteor. Apparently, Solaris was the original leader of this team but then started to talk about Lin and how she started to raise through the ranks. But just as she was about to talk about her, a voice shouted out. Sirius: Chandelure, kill her! Eclipse: Aughaughaugh… Aster: Eclipse! Matthew: Holy- Aya: Shit! Sirius: Turncoats will not be forgiven. Aya: W-What’s happening to her?! Sirius: The flames of a Chandelure burn away the soul. Just hearing that sentence made my stomach feel ill but I didn’t know if that was my actually stomach or if Wehttam had something to do with it. But while my focus was on that, Sirius tried to do the same to me. Aya, pushed me to the ground and got in the way. Sirius then grabbed Aya by the hair. Matthew: Hey! Let go of her dude! Aya: Ow! Ow! Ow! Sirius: Silence the both of you! You Matthew… You have friends headed to Calcenon correct? Matthew: That’s of no concern to you. Sirius: Heh. Change of plans! You, girl, will make a fine hostage. Let’s move. Aster: I… I’m not gonna leave Eclipse. Eclipse: Do what you will with the body. She’s gone. Destroy the entrance Aster! Aster grabbed Eclipse’s body and waited for Sirius and Aya to get out of the area before destroying a big portion of it. I looked in the direction they left. I felt horrible. Aya saved me and she got kidnapped because of it. I felt so bad for letting this happen. I felt like we had just gotten closer and now she was gone. And then another thought popped into my head. Hardy. How would he take this? I had no other option except to continue to get to Calcenon City. When I got out of that area, the rest of the way to Calcenon was just a snowy, grassy way. A couple of trainers to beat but that couldn’t even distract me from what transpired in that cave. I finally reached the gate that lead into Calcenon but sitting there was Hardy. I got off of Stantler and psyched myself up for this. I walked up to him. He seemed happy to see me. Hardy: Yo Matthew! Matthew: H-Hey Hardy… Hardy: Cain went off to go see some friends of his who are up here I guess and Laura went to see her sister. Matthew: That’s good to know… Hardy looked back where I came in from to see Aya but he didn’t see her. His happy expression turned into a worried 1. I took a deep breath and told him what happened. His worried expression then went from being worried to extremely pissed. He hopped off of the chair he was on and walked up to me. Matthew: H-Hardy? Dude? Hardy: What is your problem? I was expecting you to protect her and you couldn’t even do that?! Matthew: I get that you’re angry but you don’t even know what happened! All my Pokemon were fainted and- Hardy: You still let her get taken away mate! How can I forgive you for that?! Matthew: I-I… didn’t mean to… Hardy: You son of a- With a powerful yet swift motion with his arm, Hardy punched me square in the face but even before I hit the ground, I was completely knocked out. I hopped onto the back of Stantler and rode it out to Route 2. It was still as breath taking as ever to see the mountains again. When we got to the house of Titania and Amaria, I got off of Stantler and went inside. I saw Titania by a desk reading something on the table. She noticed me when I came closer to her. Titania: So you got the badge huh? Matthew: Yep. Was pretty tough but in the end I- Titania: Amaria is out for a walk so I’ll get the Machine for you. Matthew: O-Ohh. Ok then. Titania: It’s messy in the back. Might take a while to find it. Matthew: Yea. It’s no problem. Titania left to go search for the Machine. After about 5 minutes, I started to get bored. I looked all around the house but that wasn’t doing anything for me. Then I noticed the book Titania was reading before I came in here. I went over to the table and started to read it. It was her diary. As I read it, I couldn’t believe what I was reading. Titania was faking loving Amaria like that just so she wouldn’t hurt herself. I was taken aback. Then from out of nowhere, I heard Titania to catch whatever she was throwing to me. Luckily, I looked in time and caught the disc but I knew I was in trouble. Titania: What are you doing Matt? Matthew: I-I was just… What I mean I… Uhh… Titania: Were you just reading my diary? Matthew: Uhh… Noooooo… Titania: Psh. Lying. How childish. Matthew: I… I… Titania: If you’re caught in the act of something, at least have the decency to admit to it. How fucking dare you. You got the Machine. Get out. Matthew: Yep! Sorry! Later! Titania: Wait! My heart stopped when she said that. I felt like she was going to beat me up like she did with Hardy earlier but worse. I turned around expecting her to swing at me. I felt like someone just through something heavy down onto the ground that was heavy. I was hoping that she didn’t hear any of that but no such luck happened. Amaria: Find what out? Although, I felt bad for leaving Amaria in the unknown like that. The only thing I could do was shrug and pretend I didn’t know. With no other choices left, Amaria raced over to the desk and started reading the diary. It was over. Everything Titania had written would be known. Amaria lifted her head with tears filling her eyes. I felt so bad for her. She looked over to Titania. Amaria: You… you don’t love me do you? Titania: I would… It just wouldn’t be in a romantic way. I was afraid if you knew, you hurt yourself and I acted stupid. I’m sorry. Amaria: Titania… Being with you was like… someone was picking up the shards of my broken heart… But now it’s just shattered again… I gotta go… Amaria started to run out of the house. Titania called out to her but she didn’t listen. Titania ran out of the house chasing after her. I followed suit. When I got outside, I got Stantler to follow me. There was no time to try to climb on top of it. We raced all the way to a little land in the middle of what looked like a river. But very near it was a waterfall. On the little land was Titania and Amaria and Amaria was standing at the edge. I stayed at the side. I was afraid she might jump. Titania was trying to make Amaria go back home but it didn’t look good. Amaria: Titania… how long have you felt like this? Titania: -sighs- Since the beginning… Amaria: So… you never loved me? Just all out of pity? Titania: No. Not pity. Just… a misguided judgment. Let’s go back home and we’ll talk about- Amaria: No! If you never loved me, then everything we had was just a lie? You were my world you know? But I suppose I was just your prison. Titania: No Amaria. It’s not like that. It- Amaria: It won’t be anymore. Matthew: No no no! Amaria! Don’t! Amaria: I’m sorry Matt… With this, I set you free. Titania: Amy! Don’t be stupid! Amaria: Good bye my love! Titania: Stop! Titania tried to stop her in time but it was too late. Amaria jumped off the waterfall and plummeted down to her death. She had to of died. Who could survive this? Then it hit me. 2 things actually. The 1st is that this reminded me back when Corey did this. It’d been a long time since I last thought about that. The 2nd was I remembered that I saw this. It was in Shade’s Gym on the computer monitors. It was 1 of those deaths that was foretold. But this 1 was a bit different. That 1 seemed to have showed Titania push her off while this 1 showed her trying to save Amaria. Why was that 1 different? Titania yelled out to me which snapped me back to reality. Titania: Hey Matt! I don’t know why you’re spacing out but I’m going after her! Matthew: What? But she- Titania: She made it. I know she did. But I won’t have a way back up. I’m gonna leave that up to you. Matthew: How am I gonna rescue you guys from down there. Titania: The Machine for Waterfall. Get it, get the badge for it and then save us. Matthew: I… Yea. I’ll do it. Titania: And I swear, if you don’t, I will haunt you for the rest of your life. Matthew: Alright! Alright! I said I’d do it. Just… be careful alright? Titania: Right. Here I go! Titania stepped back and then ran full force forwards and jumped off into the waterfall just as Amaria did. I stood there for a few seconds trying to comprehend what I just saw. Stantler nudged my arm. I slowly went onto it and started to ride back to where we had to go into the cave which was called Ametrine Mountain. When we got to the entrance, I had Stantler pause for a moment. I tried to get back in my mindset after what I had just witnessed. We walked into the cave and it was freezing. But I didn’t have any other clothes with me so I pressed on. We came to a river inside the mountain. I got off of Stantler and brought out Pistol Pete. Both me and Stantler carefully got onto its back and surfed across to get to the other side. When we got there, I returned Pistol Pete and got back onto Stantler. It didn’t take long before we ran into Aya, Laura, Hardy and Aya. Matthew: Holy fuck it’s called up here. Cain: Ohh hey Matt.~ Aww! That Stantler is so cute! Matthew: Yea. I saved him some hours back. His name is Rudie. Cain: Hi Rudie. Aya: Ahh. You’re here. Laura: Ohh. Great. Joyous me. Matthew: Not the time Laura. What’s going on here? Cain: This ice here is in the way to Ametrine City. Matthew: So we can’t get there? Hardy: If not, this is bad. Cain: Totally! Laura: Isn’t that where the sleeping-signal is coming from? Matthew: Yea. And I’m like double in a rush. Hardy: Huh? What do you mean? I told them what happened with Amaria and Titania. They all looked stunned by the outcome. They understood the situation but there wasn’t much they could do. Cain: I get that you need to hurry but… Hardy: It’s a tough break. Waterfall is actually held up in Ametrine. Matthew: Wonderful. Cain: We have to hurry so we can save Agate and Amaria! Hardy: Not even that. The city itself? Aya: What are you talking about? Hardy: Ametrine’s a mountain peak city. Pretty and all but they ain’t gonna be able to grow nothin’ up there. Cain: Wait. Soooo you’re telling me that if this road is blocked off, no food can be brought to them? Hardy: Exactly my point. Matthew: So then that means… Aya: They’re gonna starve to death in their own city?! Laura: Oh my Arceus… Hardy: No. I’m not gonna not do anything. Come on out Gigalith! Out popped a Gigalith. It looked massive and very strong. If this thing could destroy this thing, nothing could. It started attacking the giant ice block with massive hits but Gigalith started to tire out. When it stopped, we looked at where it was hitting the ice and could see that nothing had been done. Not even a scratch was made on it. Laura: Wow. I’ve never seen ice that strong. Cain: Maybe a Fire Type can melt it down? Hardy: I’m pretty sure it would tire out before this thing started to melt. Too thick. Cain: Heh. I know all about thickness. Hardy: You what mate? Matthew: Cain, not now. Cain: I’m just trying to lighten the mood.~ Laura: So what do we do now? Hardy: Gigalith, return! Aya: You’re giving up? Hardy: Like hell I would. We’re gonna find another way. Aya: And how are we gonna do that? Hardy: Maybe some people from Calcenon can help. The other Leaders are up there now fighting Team Meteor but maybe some of them can help us with this. Matthew: Sounds like the only plan we got. Aya: Is it far? Not really used to taking long hikes. Matthew: Feels weird to see you out of the gym if I maybe honest. Aya: Why’s that?! Matthew: I’ve just never seen you anywhere else. Aya: Ohh… Well I guess that’s alright then. Hardy: Actually, it’s not that far at all. It’s just around the corner as a matter of fact. We’ll be there in no time. Laura: Well what are we waiting for? Let’s go!
