  1. Away with the Cherry Blossoms - by thedynamikone Chapter 1 - Beginnings Introduction's Dwayne Smart, A white-american born policeman working in the Japanese Homicide Unit in Osaka, Japan, Is an ordinary detective with a big secret. His partner, Yozuna Hitashi is a detective of 20 years, And is a Martial Art's Expert. Together they are the most feared duo in the whole of Osaka. But not all is as it seems from the outside. You see, In this city, Crime pays the bills, A once quiet city has been ravaged by hooligan's and crime has taken over the peace and tranquility that once reigned over this beautiful landscape. To Begin this story we must first take you back 7 years, To Los Angeles, California, The birth city of our protagonist. Where he once lived a very ordinary life! 7 Years Earlier - Los Angeles, CA 16th October, 2009 - 05:00am Dwayne wakes up To his alarm going off at 5am, He reaches over to press the snooze button, But hears a quiet grumbling coming from behind him, "Don't put it on snooze again" his wife said, "you know what will happen, you always sleep in and you've been late twice this month!". Dwayne grunts and presses the snooze button anyway, unaware of the impact that decision will have on the rest of his life. 07:00am *ALARM SOUNDS* "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON" Dwayne shouts to his wife as he glances at his alarm clock to check the time, But there is no answer. He looks to his side and the bed is empty.Confused, he gets out of bed and walks into the kitchen, he shouts his wife again, but there is still no answer. The Alarm continues to go off in the background, "Is this a war drill?" he ask's himself. He turns on the TV to see a thews anchor saying America is under attack from a foreign threat. His fears for his wife continue to grow. He gets his cell phone out and presses speed dial 1. The call cut's off instantly and he stares at the "Call Failed" notification on his screen. He presses speed dial to call his office, but again, It is immediately cut off. "Forget this" he says, He walks to the front door of his house, opens it, and is greeted by clouds of smog and ashes being carried through the breeze. There are no people in sight, The entire landscape is desolate and empty of human life. He looks to his right to see the Hollywood sign has had three letter's destroyed as he does so, a fourth falls over and whips up a dust cloud. In sheer disbelief, He turns around and goes back inside slowly and confused leaving the door open. He tries to flick through the channels on the TV while trying to ring his wife again, But there is only one channel on Air, It's the emergency news broadcast commissioned by the president in the event of a national tragedy. Stating repeatedly those harrowing words, "America At War". He tries repeatedly to contact his wife but there is still no answer. "i need to go down to the precinct" he says to himself. He goes back into the bedroom and opens his wardrobe, His wife's wedding dress is hanging next to his police uniform. He breathes a sigh of anxiousness for his missing wife and begins to get dressed, Once he puts his uniform on he feels something in the front right pocket of his trousers. It's a note! He takes it out and opens it, It reads "Hello Mr Policeman, We have your wife, If you want to see her alive again you will follow our instructions exactly" at which point the Alarm stops sounding leaving a ringing noise in his ears, With the note is a list of demands: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HELLO, DWAYNE 1. We want all $1,500,000 in your joint savings account. 2. We want an unmarked vehicle, with no tracker 3. We want Several Assault rifles and a couple thousand in ammo for each one, and several bullet proof vest's --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It reads underneath "America is it War, We will not tolerate these demands not being met, If you ever want to see your wife again, Drop the goods at the South Plaza Broadway and we will release her to you after the transaction is made" Dwayne, A seasoned police officer who is not known for negotiating with criminals, then angrily walks to the garage with the note clutched in his hand and his heart beating faster than he's ever felt before, He gets in his car and releases the lock on the garage door and it begins to open, Inside the car he sees another note, this one reads "Good man, You know what to do from here" It irritates Dwayne that whoever this criminal is, Clearly enjoys playing games with his family and his livelihood. He throws the note to the back in disgust and begins to reverse out of the garage. As he reverses onto the street, He realizes, If America is at war, it is likely he will be unable to go to the bank to get the money for the kidnappers. He thinks to himself with his head on the steering wheel, wondering how he is going to meet this demands, He realises his best option is to continue to the precinct and see if there is anyone there who can help track these criminals or can help meet the demands. He puts the car into gear and begins to drive down the street, He turns right towards the precinct, He pays close attention the surrounding houses and vehicles that are damaged from what he presumes is some sort of Missile or Explosive, He begins to wonder what happened to his friends as well as his wife, He takes solace in the fact he knows she is still alive. Passing by a gas station the front page of a newspaper gets blown onto his windshield, He pulls the handbrake forcing the car to come to an immediate halt, He gets out and removes the newspaper page from his windshield, while doing so he takes a glance at the date, it read's "25th October, 2009" Dwayne stands shocked in disbelief, It's been over a week since he pressed the snooze button on his alarm. He doesn't believe this could be real and begins to walk over to the abandoned gas station, He picks up a full copy of the newspaper off a stand and compares the date, This one reads "27th October, 2009". "whats going on!?" he asks himself, He then realizes his wife may no longer be alive, because he doesn't know when she was taken, or what even happened to his country. He hears a voice in the distance, "HEY THERE!" the voice shouts, Dwayne turns round, drawing his gun at the same time, He stands gun pointed in the direction the voice came from, It's a woman, She shout's "IM NOT AN ENEMY, PLEASE LOWER YOUR WEAPON" Dwayne reluctantly lowers his weapon and returns it to it's holster, The woman walks closer asking why he is still in the Red Zone, "RED ZONE?" he asks hastily, "Yes" she replies, LA is a War Zone, Why are you still here?. "who are you, And how do you know these things?" Dwayne asks her. "My name is Cheryl" she replies, and continues to say "4 weeks ago, The soviets launched nuclear attacks on America, the UK and China, The whole world was forced into hiding, Few of the governing officials from each nation remain, The Russians used sleeper agents to find the location of all Green Zones, By the time the US government realized, It was too late, There are survivors left though" she adds. Dwayne shocked to his core asks "DID YOU SAVE MY WIFE?", "i'm sorry" she replies, "I do not know who your wife is, It's likely that she didn't survive". Dwayne hangs his head in sadness and looks back up to say "She was kidnapped, Before whatever this atrocity is that has happened, I have the demands for her release, i just need to get them and take them to the drop zone". "impossible" she adds, Dwayne looks at her with a shocked expression, he asks "why is that?" to which she replies "Because everybody in this city, except you and me, is dead". "DON'T SAY THAT!" he shouts, To which she sighs and says "Follow me, But i warn you, This may be hard for you to see and accept if you have no clue what happened to our country" Dwayne follows her reluctantly not sure if he can trust this woman or not. Chapter 2 - Revelations - Coming Soon Comments/Opinions Appreciated

  3. Welcome to the forums Amy, Nice to meet you!
  4. The tile design was for a comic series i created called TU Journeys, part of the storyline was a group of mods and admins from the site were portrayed as a team rocket type gimmick called the PokeMafia, That building was their hideout. Around the arena is a white wall like the one that keeps the water in with the fountain on the original tilesheet, and in the actual game it was a solid entity so obvs i kept it the same, the teleporters are there so the characters could gen on the arena, to help with the imagination of the storyline i was using at the time, i did full battles on that thing and everything it was an epic comic. everything i added to it had a purpose at one point in the storyline
  5. I will give it a go, check back later and it will be done as best i can do it Edit: Request completed, That was more difficult than it looks xD hope you like it man
  6. Request completed to specifications asked. hopefully you like it Raw Link: http://oi63.tinypic.com/vr7crc.jpg
  7. Welcome Steven! Everyone here is super friendly and i'm sure you'll fit right in. Nice to meet
  8. Thanks guys! appreciate it this site is awesome i'm never leaving xD
  9. Good evening ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls, My name is Dynamik. This little thready here has been created for request's and as a base for my work. Below is a list of my specialties. I would like to point out i can only do one request at a time, and they will be completed in the order they are requested, All completed request's will be featured within this post for future visitor's to see the quality of my work. This is simply because it makes me sad i have little of my work to display in the CW section, plus, new stuff means new experience so it's always a bonus. Among the numerous items below there will be forms for you to fill in so i can complete your request without having to wait for a response should i have any questions. SPECIALTIES -Custom Pokemon Sprites/Re-colors (NPC's & Pokemon) -Custom Pokemon Fusions (All Gen's) -Custom Tile sheet editing (As long as tile sheet is in sections and not the full map) -Custom Tile Sheet Re-vamping (Gen's 1-3 only) -Custom Sprite/tile sheet re-vamps not relating to pokemon -One off pieces, if given full creativity of the request Requirements I don't really have any requirements for requests as such, All i ask is you credit me where you display it if possible, Also recommendations to other users would be much appreciated. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ FORMS --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Custom Sprite/Re-color Type of sprite you want: (E.g Trainer, Pokemon, Item) Sprite Description: (E.g Masterball, Blackbelt Tony, Pikachu) Custom Colors: (E.g Red/Blue outfit, Different skin tone etc) Extras: (E.g sunglasses, pokeball, hats) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Custom Fusions (4 pokemon limit) Base Pokemon: (Pokemon you want as the base body) Second Pokemon: (this is the pokemon that most of the features will come from) Third Pokemon: (Extra resource of body parts/colors) Fourth Pokemon: (Extra resource of body parts/colors) Custom Colors: ( If you want the colors from one of your 4 pokemon, please state it, if you would like custom colors different from them, list them here) Extras: (E.g sunglasses, pokeball, hats) ***PLEASE NOTE*** It is impossible to fuse two pokemon that have drastically different body types or shapes, Listing 4 options will increase my ability to complete your request as close to your specifications as possible. Please take into consideration Some Extras/body parts may not fit your fusion properly due to the positioning or angle, But i will do my best regardless. I may also only be able to use one or two body parts or features from each pokemon to avoid the end result looking like a mutant freak so please choose wisely, the better your choice, the better the fusion, unless of course thats what you want, in which case i'd be happy to do it. ***COMPLETED REQUESTS/SHOWCASE*** ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TILE SHEETS I won't post full forms for the tile sheets as they are usually custom to begin with since they are mostly used by game developers, such as the ones used in the Reborn Game. I would however like to request that you just give a brief explanation as to what you'd like me to do with it, such as "re-vamp the colors and shape of objects, Make building bigger, change floor tile design etc) Tile Sheet Link: (URL to the tile sheet) Your Request: (Description of work you want doing) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ONE OFF PIECES This is specifically for pixel art requests, no forms, no description, nothing. and it covers all of the above, just state which type of edit you want, E.g fusion, re-vamp or re-color or post a link and i'll do the rest! As i get to know people it will be easier to pick things to create that they will like because i will know more about them, So for the time being i would stick to the form requests as there's always the chance you won't like what i create if it's a one off. But of course if you do want a one-off i would be more than happy! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PROJECTS Since i like it here i figured i would start some long-term projects to add more diversity and interest to the CW section of the site. Below are descriptions of future projects i will be undertaking during my time here. This list will be up-dated as projects start and/or are in the pipeline so it's always good to pop back and check how things are going. Reborn Comic As this process is very time consuming and i work full time, i would only be able to release one issue a week, The only reason i cannot make this straight away is when i make comics i use the members of the site as the main characters, i use their personalities, outlook on life and phrases. as i am new here i am unable to do this at the moment because i do not know anyone that well. It would take me a month or so to pick 4 main characters that i can portray perfectly. i would very much like to make this comic based on the game as well, but with a more comedic approach. This process would require writers, Storyline editors and a small production team, so if anybody would be up for helping out when i get this going, let me know Sprite Network A sprite Network is a place for people to compare their work and use others designs as inspiration while giving good solid criticism , it could also be classed as a showcase, however it would also feature tutorials and be a HUB for members who want to master the art of spriting. This would not just be for pokemon, We would also do themed contests by brand, franchise or year or style, which would be hosted on a separate thread, with the winner getting to pick the next theme and entry requirements. As well as getting a little trophy that's custom made by me for that theme. This idea has proven popular on every site i have gone to, and even people with no interest or experience in spriting take part just because it's fun and it gives people a reason to regularly visit the creative areas of a website. Forum Gadgets Forum Gadgets are a technique i created myself many years ago, it uses forum BB coding, perfectly aligned images and can have a variety of different functions and options, leading to anything from a custom bio made from pixel art, to your own youtube channel. They're relatively easy to make and look pretty awesome and look neat and tidy in your signature, they're handy for any competitive battler/youtube/blogger/gfx designer and again can have numerous different functions. I can make ones everyone can use or make custom ones. the possiblities are always endless, and so is how much you can add to them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Over time, the projects will become reality and that will give me more opportunity to come up with new creative ideas for the CW section of the site. For now, i think i've set myself a decent task list and i'm very much looking forward to making these come to life. So for now, that's it! until the projects get underway over the next few month's, Feel free to request a design or fusion. I would also be more than happy to give my opinion on your own work, simply just reply with the link to your thread and i will check it out, I like putting other peoples art and creativity n the spotlight as much as i do my own! Also, Any questions or objections to any of this post, feel free to share or ask. Thanks for reading! -Dynamik
  10. I can't comment on the drawings really, My drawing skills suck massively. The spriting However, That i can give feedback on. First one, The definition and coloring is very flat, All it would need really is a re-color with colors that contrast eachother, When it comes to shading always use the original shading as guidelines when you do a re-color, never remove darker shades or try make them lighter, always have them match the colour you are changing to but make them slightly darker, They are your definition and character on the sprite. Another thing you need to look out for is under-shadow, under shadows are basically shadow from natural light, just like in real life, if you hold something under a light it gets a shadow, the same applies to sprites, so if a pokemons chin overlaps it's body there should be a little shading underneath it to define the fact it's actually got a chin and not just a neck. the combination of all of that will make all your sprites look the best that they possibly can. i took the liberty of doing my own edit on your sprite, so you can see what i mean about definition, some colours (such as yellow) are tricky to not make look flat or more like gold than yellow. changing a sprites features and vamping the skin tone slightly also makes it looks fresher, you can tell when somebodies just dont a basic re-color compared to a full re-vamp because older colours are more dull and bland. Obviously idk what the original shading was on the dress so i did my own and i did it like that because the image itself portrays that it's a little windy so i did the shadow to suit a breeze moving the dress the best i could, if that makes sense. It's not perfect, and it only took 2 mins, but you get the idea. The pokemon ones: They are actually really good, The Emboar one is pretty sick looking good choice of colors, The serperior one could do with a light grey/dark white colour underneath that matches it's face or the shading on it's neck, that green color distracts you from the red/black combo. idk if you've ever heard it but there's a saying, red and green should never be seen. and it's true. if you did that it would look completely different to the eye, while also maintaining that it's your own person custom edit. Not sure if any of this helps, But hopefully it does
  11. This was a project i started for the comic i used to make, Along with this building i re-vamped and re-modeled entire towns, As stated though a lot of my work is lost so i'm just posting what i have at hand. Comments would be appreciated
  12. Thank you! it's nice to meet you i checked the community rules when i first registered so all is good, thank you for letting me know though, also, for Cool Girl and Pocky - http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=22613
  13. One of my old spriting tutorials that is still valid today, All external links in this tutorial no longer work they are just there as that's the website i was apart of at the time of creation. All content within this tutorial belongs to shadeXproductions do not rip/claim as your own Welcome to the shadeXproductions sprite tutorial, within this thread will be numerous tips and tricks to perfecting splicing, before we start one thing has to be cleared up, every person splices in a different way, we all have our own individual methods that we perfect over time this tutorial is just to show you how i splice, to give you an alternate view of the subject and to help you improve your spriting skills. Finding Suitable Sprites There are many sprite resources on the internet, some good others not so good. knowing what is a good sprite to use is the most basic spriting skill there is, for example you wouldnt choose a porgyon image that was pixelated to sprite with would you? no, because you would have to re-vamp it (find out how in the re-vamp tutorial coming soon). a good quality image is the foundation of a good sprite, and also depicts whether the finished product will be good. The best resource for sprites i have found is http://www.pe2k.com -> Click sprites the reason i use that site is because it has sprites from all generations, back sprites, animated sprites and trainer sprites, as well as overworld sprites. this makes picking pokemon to use much, much easier. Getting started Make sure to have a Paint window open, you have it open beforehand so you can load the images quicker and it saves a little time, first things first for this tutorial we are going to use gardevoir and meloetta, why those two? well simply because splicing them is good practice, the body frames, angles and shading are virtually identical 'thus making it easy to fuse them, for the colour scheme we are going to use serperior, why? 'cos green is cool. The most important thing to remember is to never, ever copy + paste them from your browser, why? because the white background turns black and neutralises the black outlines on the sprite ruining the pixels and the image, what you need to do always is Right click > save image as, this allows you to use the image multiple times and keeps the .png format nice and tidy, to get each image into paint you first need to load the main pokemon your are splicing in this case it is gardevoir, instead of opening two windows you can simply click the paste dropdown (in windows 7) and select paste from, then you select the meloetta image and paste it onto the same window. you also do this for serperior, if you have followed the above steps correctly your window should look like this: Now that you have those in a new window, save them as "My first sprite", after doing so open a new paint window, if you are experienced at doing this you can skip to the steps after the introduction to the tools. The Tools of the trade Step 2 is fairly simple, you only need to use a maximum of 6 tools in paint and they are as follows, Pencil, Eraser, Zoom, Fill, Color Picker and the Select tool, For the purpose of this tutorial there will be an image below with a red rectangle around all the tools you need to use, how to use them individually comes in the next step. The use of multiple tools makes your job as a spriter much easier this is because using just the pencil and selection tool alone would take a good 30 mins, using them together after learning how to takes that time down to around 5 mins per sprite. you see the logic yes? Now let's learn how to use them individually Using the Tools of the trade Pencil The pencil is the most commonly used tool for any pixel artist or spriter, it allows you to edit an image pixel by pixel in any colour or arrangement you wish to proceed with. What a lot of people don't know is it is also good for removing pixels, you do this by setting the primary colour to white (if you are using a white BG) so it's never too late to undo your mistakes if your hand happens to slip. This tool should be the very first and very last tool you use to make sure the detail on your sprite is to the best quality you can do it, you might ask how you are supposed to see individual tiny pixels when using the pencil, well this can be resolved by using Zoom. Zoom When making a sprite always edit fully zoomed in this allows you to see all of the shading, detail and features clear as crystal, paired with the pencil it allows you to view each pixel as a larger image, this effect can be reversed by zooming out (Right clicking) allowing you to view your sprite in it's regular size, it pretty much works with every tool except font - which we do not need to use for this tutorial. if you are using windows 7 in the bottom right hand corner it will tell you how far you are zoomed in our out so you will always know if you are looking at the actual sized image. Fill Tool The fill tool allows you to fill any area with colour, however if an area is not closed off the fill tool will fill the entire page with colour rather than the bit you selected, for example if you were to fill the inside of a rectangle that would be fine, what wouldn't be fine would be if you tried to fill half a rectangle with colour that would then fill the entire page, the same principle applys to sprites some pokemon don't have closed off features so it's easy for the colours to spill so it's always best to double check this before you do so or you will have to undo what you did and start again, to avoid this simple use the pencil tool and a red colour just to close the feature off allowing you to fill it then remove it with the pencil tool with the white colour selected. This tool is best used for large areas of colour it makes recoloring easy, especially if you've used all the colours in your pallet. Color Picker Okayy this is where the tools get complicated. the colour picker allows you to select any colour that is on a sprite so you can add it to your pallet, there are some tricks with this that alot of paint users do not realise for example, if you hover the color picker over a color of your choosing and left click it will select that colour as the primary (which is fairly obvious) what they do not know is if you right click a different shade of the same colour or a different colour it sets that colour as your secondary, secondary colours are used in combination with the eraser trick, it's also a neat way to get your pallet of colours built up identical to the pokemon your spriting, after you have selected either a primary or secondary colour you can save them by clicking on either of the colors and clicking edit colours then clicking add to custom colours. the line they savew on is called your pallet, It would be best to play around with this feature before attempting spriting so you understand the concept. Eraser This is the most important tool for recoloring, recoloring you say? yes. the eraser only erases in white because the secondary colour is set to white as default, when you change the secondary colour the colour that the eraser is changes, why? this is so it allows you to layer over specific colours that you selected without having to do it with the pencil or fill tools, this is extremely handy for outlines and facial details on sprites as all you do is go over the existing colours with new ones. to perform the eraser trick you will have to follow the image below in a paint window of your own and test this for yourself, explaining it in detail will only confuse you further, though there will still be some written explanations as to whats happening in the image, be sure to practice this numerous times to get the hang of it it seems confusing at first but it's very easy to pick up. Body swapping Ok, now that you're aware of of the tools, it's time to begin spriting. Open the file you saved as My First Sprite in paint, once you have done so increase your work area by adjusting the width and heigth with the little box in the bottom right hand corner of your canvas. it doesn't really matter how much room you give yourself but more is generally preferred to less, put serior on the very far right hand side of your canvas away from gardevoir and meloetta he will not be used until later, next space gardevoir and meloetta at least 3 of your fingers width apart doesn't need to be exact you're just going to need a little space between them. now, this is where it gets interesting, remove gardevoires torso leaving just her head from the neck up and the thinnest part of her waist, i would reccomend using the eraser tools smallest size or the pencil, this may seem a bit backwards but that space is going to be for meloettas top half. If you have done this correctly you should have ended up with this: now that you have kept only the parts you need from gardevoir, you need to do the same to meloetta, however this time we are only going to keep her top half and her head, you may wonder why we're keeping two heads for one sprite and the answer is because we are also going to merge their features in this tutorial, otherwise you would just remove the head you did not want to use. With meloetta be sure to erase her body at an angle, this is so that is matches up with gardevoir's bottom half and makes the overall result much better looking. The next step is fairly simple you're now going to start removing the body parts you are going to replace, some people preferr to just paste the parts over another but for me completing the sprite properly is the way forward, What you are going to need to edit before the next step is meloettas headband/hair piece, If you zoom in full and look very closely at her head band the green outline you will see maps the shape her head is supposed to be until it reaches her hair line then it changes to black/dark gray you still need to continue the line at this point using the pencil tool with white selected. if you have followed the above steps correctly your window should now look like this: Now that your work area is clean, you are familiar with the tools and you have your sprites ready to start editing let's move onto the next step, now would be a good time to save your work. Removing "dead cells" Right this is where it starts to get tricky, "dead cells" are the features on the pokemon you do not want to use, you remove these so you can piece the final sprite together easier. before you attempt this be sure to set the background to transparent which can be found in the drop-down menu on the select tool. this is completely optional, most people preferr to keep all of a pokemons features i however like to edit them it just makes the sprite look newer and fresh. all pokemons features can be removed or changed it's just following the correct line on a pokemon that will mean the difference between success and failure. For example if you were removing dead cells from a circle on a red background, nothing but the outline of the circle should be left on the page allowing you to do whatever you please with it. this is something that takes good hand eye co-ordination so do not stress if you don't take to it straight away it takes time to be able to remove and reconstruct features. here is what happens when you remove gardevoires "dead cells" from her face and head: As you will notice that's just basically the structure of her features not colored in, the reason you do this is so you can match the head to the line you just created around meloettas sometimes you can layer it over on transparent, other times it's best to fill all the white on this inside with red allowing you to keep the inside solid but the outside transparent. to make this just the outlines use the fill tool and fill all her hair in with white, her skin, her eyes but always keep the outlines and definitive details such as the shaper of gardy's cheek bones or her fringe and hair line. This next bit is entirely down to you, the only way you can learn is by practicing so fill gardevoire's hair in with red, and remove the outline where her eye was, if you struggle with this part you can copy my image above by right clicking -> Save Image As and then continue using that, after doing those little edits place it over meloettas head, how you position it is entirely upto you but leave enough room to see her eye or most of it, once you've found the right placement you now need to begin coloring it in correctly, select the color picker tool and left click on the red and then right click on the lightest shade of green in her actual hair, go over the red with the eraser and then do the same with the other green colours that are the outlines using the darkest shade of green from her actual hair, If you have problems doing this just re-color the red with green and leave the rest. If you have followed the above steps correctly meloetta should now look like this, or similar to it: As you can see her face is now a cross between gardevoire and herself, i shortened the fringe and changed the shape of underneath her hair to suit gardevoire's features, again this is entirely optional as long as you distinguish the shape of gardevoire's cheeks. Putting it together This tutorial is almost over, now we move onto the second to last task - putting the body's together. this is probably the easiest part of the whole process, all you do is align them up correctly and then you're done! If the angles you erased them at don't look right you can always edit them with the pencil tool. After lining them up you need to bring jalorda in towards meloetta we are now about to re-color our sprites! Your window should currently look like this: If it does, continue to the next step, if not go through the above step again and find where you went wrong, fix it - then come back to the next step. Recoloring your sprite Okay, this is the final step in the tutorial. You can recolor a pokemon by using the eraser trick i taught you above, if you already know how to recolor then this step should be easy for you. Using serperiors colours only you need to re-color your fusion - make sure you always colour swap the lightest shade for the lightest shade, and the darkest shade for the darkest shade or the overall effect will be opposite and your sprite will looked messed up, each pokemon generally has 1 or 2 outline colours if the main pokemon your fusing has just one you can always create a secondary one in your pallet by selecting a colour in your secondary colour slot and performing the eraser trick. For my sprite i chose serperiors gold collar for meloettas hair, and the light green in his underbelly for the bottom half of her dress, you can do this either way round you like it's entirely down to personal preferance, alongside my sprite i have another gardevoir/meloetta fusion that i did a few days ago, on that one i have added one of bellossoms flowers to her head and used vileplume as the colour scheme. so you can pretty much mix and match with your recolors. always remember never to recolor anything that started off white such as eyes, claws and teeth those should be left alone at all times (unless the main colour of the pokemon is white, then you can edit). you can however recolor the colour of a pokemons eyes - with mine i chose a brown colour to match the golden hair and give it a different look. here's mine to give you a bit of inspiration to how you want your colour scheme to be: Once you have recolored your sprite then you have completed this tutorial! well done If you feel this tutorial was not helpful please feel free to leave a comment, if you found it useful you can also do the same, feedback is always good!
  14. Thank you you guys seem pretty cool too! I think i do have a fair portion of my work still on this laptop, i'm not sure if there is a designated arts forum but if there is i will post some after making a water mono team. It's not something i do much these days but i may have the odd tutorial that still works with MS Paint that might be of help if you're both interested in learning. i'll have a look If anybody does need help with any projects i could help out if needed, it's been a while but be fun to play around on paint again. Thanks again!
  15. So i'm not really good at intro's, As is clearly obvious i am dynamik, My real name is Danny, I've played pokemon competitively since wifi battles became a thing. I've got through a couple alt's over the years, Shade, Xotiic, Mr.Dynamik and now this one, so I don't think many will know who i am, I am however, the undeclared self proclaimed king of water mono's. My all time greatest streak was 145-1. That's also my best gym record. These days i'm pretty much just learning how the X/Y metagame works and what the new pokemon and abilities bring to the competitive table. The way i battle is pretty old school, just logic and experience, since that's all i have because i don't know this gen very well. But i'm hoping battling with you guys will help me learn quicker as laddering on the main server is fun, just not when people ragequit making it a pointless experience. I am also an expert spriter and pixel artist, I have won competitions all over the internet for splicing, spriting, pixel art, and i even made comics out of custom re-vamped tile/character sheets from the GBA/DS pokemon titles which was a very popular series at the time. Most of my work can no longer be found except the stuff i have on my laptop due to the older pokemon based sites dying due to inactivity or the owners inability to maintain domain payments. and the fact i've had like 4 computers since then, pretty sad, but i prefer making new stuff anyway. Other than that, it's really nice to be here, you've all made me feel very welcome, so thank you Any questions feel free to ask
