Seeing the danger, Asgore pushes Nader out of the way of an attack, taking 60 damage from the erupting faces! The room smells like batteries. Theme Status

(5d6+3+13 = 46 & 1d4+13 = 17) Nader, meanwhile, unleashes hellfire from all of his guns, blasting the memoryheads with 92 damage to one of them, and 17 Damage to all three of them! Faces erupt from the ground! The entities return. Theme Status - Lucine and Asgore hear gunshots coming from deeper within the laboratory.
  3. -Waterfall Cheering on her snail, Jun finds that they move as fast as they can, crossing the finish line just in time! "Congratulations. Here's 9G. Have a nice day. I mean... Unless you don't want to... Oohhhh"
  4. -Snowdin Road The child walks forward with the others in anticipation, and they even pause as soon as you all cross the bridge... After a long, awkward pause, nothing happens? The child is frowning now. Moving further ahead, you all see an incredibly simplistic puzzle, which simply requires the solver to walk over X's on the ground in order to transform them into O's. A small strip of spikes blocks passage to the next area, and Papyrus is on the other side. As you approach, he notices you.
  5. -Waterfall "Oooh. Well... I'm Napstablook, and this game is called Thundersnail." "It's really easy," he says as the snails line up at the starting line. "If the yellow snail wins, then you win! You can cheer on your snail to help her along."
  6. -True Lab Asgore leaps down the shaft, cradling Lucine like a sack of groceries all the way down. Prodditor and Nader hear a deafening crash from deeper in the lab.
  7. -New Home He looks over to the "Bathroom". The door is open, and the shaft is empty. Asgore peers down the empty shaft, before holding out a hand to Lucine.
  8. -Snowdin Road The gang moves on. In the next area, there's a sign right out the gate. On it, there is a short, but ominous message. There is a large pile of snow nearby that covers a perfectly square area on the ground, and a short wall of spikes blocks the way forward across a short bridge. The Child simply runs over to a seemingly random patch on the ground, digging around until they find a switch. Flipping the switch, the spikes retract, and the way forward is cleared. The child seems confused about something, looking around curiously. -New Home Asgore hears Lucine, but doesn't respond. They enter Alphys's lab, but she is nowhere to be found.
  9. -New Home Lucine notices Alphys shaking. (5, 19) Alphys breaks out into a cold sweat, hyperventilating. Her chair screeches on the wood as she stands up and runs out of the house. Asgore looks apologetically towards Lucine.
  10. -New Home Alphys nervously, taps her fingers on the table, glancing to the side as she sweats. Alphys recoils, as if the words physically harmed her. -Snowdin Toriel frowns. "I am certain he tried, but please do not eat this spaghetti." she orders. -True Lab Laying on the ground behind both Nader and Prodditor, a small key sits on the ground. Before they can breathe a sigh of relief, the note in Prodditor's grip begins to melt and swell, fluid pouring out of it! A smiling face appears on the ball of white fluid. "C̸̠͔̍̋Ȍ̸̯͊M̸̧̟̊Ȩ̶̨̀ ̴̗͓͐J̷̯͘O̸͙͜͠I̶̧̧̎̽N̸̝̑ ̶̛̹̾T̸̻̬̓̈́Ḧ̵̲̬̃E̴̫̩̽̃ ̴͔̪͝F̶̤̓̈́U̵͉̭̅N̷̫͆̚""C̸̠͔̍̋Ȍ̸̯͊M̸̧̟̊Ȩ̶̨̀ ̴̗͓͐J̷̯͘O̸͙͜͠I̶̧̧̎̽N̸̝̑ ̶̛̹̾T̸̻̬̓̈́Ḧ̵̲̬̃E̴̫̩̽̃ ̴͔̪͝F̶̤̓̈́U̵͉̭̅N̷̫͆̚""C̸̠͔̍̋Ȍ̸̯͊M̸̧̟̊Ȩ̶̨̀ ̴̗͓͐J̷̯͘O̸͙͜͠I̶̧̧̎̽N̸̝̑ ̶̛̹̾T̸̻̬̓̈́Ḧ̵̲̬̃E̴̫̩̽̃ ̴͔̪͝F̶̤̓̈́U̵͉̭̅N̷̫͆̚" The room darkens into pitch black, save Nader, Prodditor, and their foes. The three entities are indescribable... Glowing hearts erupt from their chests at the same time, and they instinctively recognize them as their very SOULs. Theme Status -Waterfall "Ohh..." "Sorrrry.... I guess I could give you a freebie... I mean, if you want... If you don't... that's fine too..."
  11. -Waterfall A ghost, looking as if they were truly made from a bedsheet draped over a basketball, hovers nearby. The snails don't appear to be capable of speech, and mill around in their fenced off area. "Oooohh. The snails are doing just fine..." "Welcome to the Blook Acres Snail Farm, oooh. Would you like to play a game? It's only 10G..."
  12. -Snowdin Road Sans simply shrugs. Moving into the next area, the group encounter a table with a plate of spaghetti on it, next to it, there is a table with a microwave on it. A note sits on the ground, which the child picks up and reads. The Spaghetti is so cold that it's frozen to the table, and the microwave is unplugged.
  13. -Snowdin Road "I prefer Crossword myself," Toriel says. The child announces that Junior Jumble is harder. With that, Papyrus dashes away victoriously. Sans smiles fondly.
  14. -New Home Alphys gapes like a fish, her mouth opening and closing silently for a few seconds. Asgore looks between the two, before grabbing another mug and filling it with tea. He seems grateful for the distraction. With the scientist awkwardly seated at the table as well, Asgore smiles.
  15. -Snowdin Road It appears to be a word search. -New Home Asgore smiles, but it's a forlorn thing. He walks over to pour tea for the two of them. In the foyer, Lucine hears the door creak open.
  16. -Snowdin As the group leave the area, The child pauses in front of a snowball, and Arminius hears yet more classic ghost comedy. In the next area, Sans and Papyrus are waiting next to the exit leading deeper into the snowy landscape. In the middle of the road, there is a piece of paper sitting on the ground.
  17. -Snowdin The child checks out a small dead-end side path with two more sentry stations. A sign in-between them reads: The child reads this out loudly enough for the others to hear. It seems to be important for later.
  18. -Snowdin He says to Arminius - At Ignia's words, Toriel frowns. "I'm not sure where I learned this, but THE BARRIER was made of seven human SOULs, and only a power greater than that is capable of destroying it." "Only if that power were unified and directed at THE BARRIER would it be shattered." -Waterfall Asgore is quiet after Lucine's words. Long enough for them to reach his home once again. One of the holograms pops up as they enter. "A long time ago, a human fell into THE RUINS-" Asgore ignores the words for now, as the voices continue with the story Lucine had already heard. He guides her into the living room, and puts on a pot of tea. He pauses, unable to stall any further. The teapot whistles loudly.
  19. -Snowdin Road Toriel swallows heavily. Dolly, however, simply wheezes with silent laughter, heaving like it's the funniest joke he's ever heard. The child looks uncomfortable with this. "Be silent," Toriel demands, plucking the doll from the child's arms with her fingertips, as if it were a dirty rag. "Really, whatever punishment this one needs, being made whole is more than enough." "The memory of saying such nonsense would be agony for a monster capable of compassion." Dolly grins coyly, unable to take the threat seriously. "My child, I will be confiscating this, before Rachel finds good reason to destroy it," she says coldly. "No matter Rachel's words, the results are the same. Asgore must be stopped," she says with finality. Toriel outright scowls, an unfamiliar look on her face that silences Dolly. She glances at Rachel with a compassionate look moments later. - Sans acts as if he didn't hear any of the discussions previously. -Waterfall Jun's wanderings lead her to one of several places: A place with a turtle monster A place with a small bird A place with snails and a ghost A house that looks like a fish The River Person.
  20. Toriel frowns, but almost wants to laugh at the irony. "I'm afraid you may not... understand certain things." "It may be best if I were to explain why we are here. The child appears to have already read through the books in my home, judging from their knowledge, so forgive me if I tell you what you already know." "Long ago, two races ruled over Earth: HUMANS and MONSTERS." "One day, war broke out between the two races." "After a long battle, the humans were victorious." "They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell." She pauses. "This is what the history books say." "Truthfully, I do not know whether you all see monsters as something to be feared, or to be pitied. Nor is it any of my concern." "But the truth of the matter is this, I do not know. Only one monster, in all recorded history, has absorbed a human SOUL. All else is legend." Her breath hitches, but she continues clinically. "Yes, it is true that the strength of a human SOUL allows it to persist after death." "And yes, it is true that any Monster who defeats a human could absorb its SOUL." "But I know nothing else. A monster absorbing the SOUL of even a single human is unthinkable, even ignoring the cruelty of such an act, only in recent years has it been more than a legend. You humans are blessed with physical bodies, and unimaginable strength." "Countless monsters died in the war, and yet, not a single human. Not a single SOUL was successfully taken." She glances aside. "I've... Wondered. From time to time. A monster with a human SOUL is a being of terrible power. Why does Asgore not simply absorb a single SOUL, leave through the barrier, and collect the SOULs he needs from the surface, then return to release monsterkind? We know only one human and one monster's SOUL is required to pass through it." "Why wait meekly in this dank hole, hoping another human would never fall down here?" She shakes her head. "But I digress. None could teach you to absorb a SOUL, Arminius. And even if you could, a human cannot absorb the SOUL of another human, and an ordinary monster's SOUL is too weak to survive death."
  21. Arminius receives 20 Gold after his dicking around. For quite possibly the first time, the child shows an emotion other than steadfast firmness or boredom, though the exact emotion is unclear. Flowey sneers at this, wriggling in the child's grip to get a better vantage point. Even their words ring hollow, as if they might very well be lying. In fact, they're almost certainly lying, considering what Arminius saw in the Essence he had of theirs. Toriel, who has only just noticed the doll, looks quietly horrified at the idea of a fractured SOUL.
  22. The child hands Arminius the golf club with a smile, walking off to the side. Dolly says.
