Empi, for her part, is currently imagining the lines and curves that Mitsu must have underneath her dress.; such matters as the worship of gods was beyond her purview, whereas perverted daydreams weren't. She was also picturing how toned and built this Navin guy must be, among other things. >Polite, seems like a sweetheart with the body to match and yet this guy seems the kind of guy Venus would have me working overtime to hook up to someone else. My gut is telling me something, but what?<

Azusa looks irritated about their current situation. She sighs, leaning against a nearby wall. "Tough crowd, huh?"

Sophie - [Lancer and Sophie] "Well.....this is my bedroom. I don't even live here. In fact, I don't even know how I got involved in all this.. Apparently, my parents were magi too. Which, before today, I thought was absolute bullshit. Y'know, because I was raised to think magic was nonexistent and did not in fact summon fully formed people from, apparently, other worlds to fight in a war over the cup that Jesus drank from, which also apparently exists. Oh good GOD I hope this is just a bad hangover dream." Sophie groans, closing her eyes. "Okay, is there anything else I have to know? Can I just run from here? Or am I trapped until this whole thing is over and therefore have to go hide in the toughest bunker in the world?" Nick and Jack Sloane - [Berserkers and Eleonore] Nick and Jack share a look, before grinning at Eleonore and nodding. "Well, we ain't the sneaky type, but we'll try our best, luv. Thief's honour." "Don't think there's any Servants nearby anyway, and cops we can 'andle. Might be a Servant who can cloak themselves nearby, so you're best sticking nearby, yeah? Wouldn't want you to get fucked up because we were off, performin' scoutin' and all that." -

Sophie - [Lancer and Sophie] "Well, can you use that to check if we're near anyone who might want to murder us both?" Nick and Jack Sloane - [Berserkers and Eleonore] "We're fighters, not telepaths." "Unless you're okay with us stealin' a bike or two for recon and all that, luv." -
Empi Anyone still straggling behind Mitsu's rampage gets quite a few curses placed on them by Empi; not of the usual fairy type, that of the baleful polymorphing and the rapid ageing type, but that of the 'locked in place by fairy dust' and 'rolling on the ground in sudden sexual frustration' type. She seems frustrated and annoyed by the situation she found herself in. "Dammit, I'm a lover, not a fighter! Slow down a little! And hey, I'm helping! Kinda!" <The boss does NOT pay me enough to deal with this shit.> Sachi "R-right!" Sachi immediately gets on covering Isobel, placing her shield up and positioning herself between the girl and the enemies, her spear propped up and braced against her arm to force as much strength as possible on it. After all, this was the least she could do for Isobel, and protecting people was what she did best.

Sophie - [Lancer and Sophie] "....now that you mention it, trying to find a safer place to hide is a good idea, if we're fighting the kinda war where people die and all. Alright.....so.....what am I supposed to do, exactly? I'm not precisely a....magus, I'll be honest." Nick and Jack Sloane - [Berserkers and Eleonore] Nick and Jack shoot Eleonore strange looks. "Luv, we're brothers! We argue. It's wot brothers do, innit?" "You need to watch more telly if you think THIS is arguing, luv. Or get out more." -

Sophie - [Lancer and Sophie] "G-get your stomach away from my face! Is EVERY Servant like....this?!" Sophie groaned for the umpteenth time that night, placing her head in her hands. So not only was her Servant a masochist, but also a weirdo who somehow thought magical rituals involving blood made you fat. Or maybe they did and Sophie was the weird one. Wonderful. She was beginning to regret accommodating her parents' request. Nick and Jack Sloane - [Berserkers and Eleonore] Both brothers look rather surprised. "Oh, so you want us to 'old back on 'em, eh?" "Want us to play nice, luv?" The brothers turn to each other, discussing something in harsh and quick whispers. Something about "savouring the fun" and "enjoying the ride" can be heard, but their accents and their rushed whispering make it hard to tell what they're saying. Nick looks irritated and annoyed by whatever Jack is saying, but eventually closes his eyes sighing. Eventually, both brothers share a nod, turning back to their Master. "Sure, luv." "Sure, luv." "'E figures it'll be more fun to fight when we 'aven't fought for a while. Savouring the taste and all that, like a good meal after a long day. I don't see the point of it, but 'e's always been like that, the smarter one." "Not for nothin' do I plan all our fights, mate. You'd get us all blown to 'ell by them guys in the Union if you did it!" "And now you've gone and gotten us into an agreement to not get into any fights, bruv! I thought we were brothers, bruv!" "Oi, oi, she didn't say we couldn't 'ave fun anyway, just said we couldn't go around beatin' up people. 'Sides, we're in one of 'em wars what call other people to fight, Nick. Just wait and a good fight will come to us." ".....alright, Jack, but I swear down, if it doesn't, this is your fault, yeah?" "Bruv, she could just use one of 'em Command Seals and make us listen anyway. This way, we don't get leashed, yeah? No wonder Ollie hates you more than me; you're always so bloody impatient." "'E 'ates us both, mate. That's why 'e went off and became one of them detective guys....." The brothers have descended into arguing and random rambling again. Eleonore might have to get their attention again.... -

Sophie - [Lancer and Sophie] Sophie breathes in deeply, trying to process exactly what just happened. She stares at Klaren strangely, studying who, exactly, she'd just summoned. And, apparently, what she just got herself involved in. "So....let me get this straight. You're my Servant from some place I've never heard of and.....I'm supposed to be using you to fight for, I assume, the Holy Grail. Which, by the way, doesn't exist. Or apparently does, since I can summon you- assuming this isn't some Faust kinda deal and I'm actually signing my soul away to Satan- to go fight for it. For me. I think. I dunno, I assume something called the Holy Grail War would be that, unless of course it's actually like the Olympics or something. Which I doubt, because you have a massive spear. .....oh boy what did I get myself into." Sophie groans audibly, grabbing a chair and sitting down in it. She rests her head on her temple, trying to avoid looking at Klaren. "Okay, Sophie. This is ALL just a dream. You got yourself drunk, you're not actually talking to a masochist with a giant lance that you just summoned with a magical pentagram you sprayed pig's blood over, you're still asleep with a bad hangover the night before you go on vacation. and this is ALL because of a bad pint. Yes. That makes perfect sense. More sense than what's going on right now." Nick and Jack Sloane - [Berserkers and Eleonore] "Oh, luv, you can call me anything you-oof!" The man with the chains around his neck is elbowed by his brother, who rolls his eyes. The flirtatious brother shoots him a glare. "Oi, Jack! I was just playin'! Not like the lady can't 'andle herself, right?" "And you ain't got a chance with 'er, mate. You couldn't pull girls when we were alive, 'ow do you think you gonna get 'em when they call us? 'Sides, you probably ain't her type anyway." "Like you'd know, bruv! You and me be twins, mate! If I ain't no girl's type, neither are you!" The squabbling goes on for a few more sentences, before they remember that they are, in fact, being addressed by their Master. Sharing another look, they clear their throats in perfect unison "Luv, you can call me Nick." "I'm Jack. Me and Nick 'ere, we're brothers. Twins, you see, identical. We live together, fight together and do everything together. Together 'til the end and all that, yeah?" "And you can quit with the look, Elen. We ain't no gentlemen. We're not the smartest, yeah, but we know that much." "Like, we just like us a good fight, yeah? Killin' ain't one of our fort-ays- is that 'ow you say that-, but fightin', yeah, we're good at that." "Still, luv, you got nothin' to worry 'bout, 'long as you stay behind us, yeah? We like fights, but we stick with our own, mate. All part of our Code, you see." "Long as we're 'ere, you got anything else?" -

Sophie The journalist is utterly dumbfounded. Whether it's because she's didn't expect this to work or it's because of what appears to be a partially-insane spearman in her hotel room is hard to discern from her absolutely gobsmacked face. She steps back, shaking her head and blinking. Sophie had seen sweatshops, slaughterhouses, asylums and warzones in her quest to tell people the truth and nothing but the truth as a journalist. Needless to say, this wasn't the first insane thing she'd ever seen. No, this was the most insane thing she'd ever seen. ".....okay, how did you get here again? Who are you? And.....how am I your Master?" -

[Nick and Jack Sloane, Eleonore] Light burst forth from the summoning circle, smoke curling forth from the circle drawn for their arrival. As the light fades, the Master who called them forth may gaze forwards, the figure of their Servant coming into focus... ...or rather, Servants. The light fades, revealing two young men- probably somewhere in their twenties- standing before Eleonore. Their attire of leather biker jackets and black shirts would not have them out of place in some TV show about gangsters, perhaps on the streets of some generic American city, or on the streets of London. They study her briefly with steely grey eyes, looking almost identical. One has what appear to be a ring of chains hanging around his neck and the other, giving Eleonore a roguish smirk, a faded scar across his right cheek. Upon their waists, a pair of belts with what appear to be small gadgets attached to the buckle sit, the one with the chains having a stylized moon on his belt and the other a stylized sun. The two brothers- for who else could they be- share a look, nodding, before smirking at Eleonore. Their accent seems lilting; from the sound, possibly from South London or the Cockney area. "Well, 'ello, luv. Ain't you a sight for sore eyes? Guess yer stuck with us, then." "You supposed to be our Master, huh? A'ight then, luv." "So, me brother and I, we only got a few questions for ya." "You ready to handle destruction in human form, luv? 'Coz that's what you've got. Twin terrors, in the flesh." "What's our first order? What do you want from us?" "And where's the nearest fight?" -
Empi, for her part, doesn't do much to attack. Of course she didn't; she was a lover, not a fighter. Still, she wasn't bad at handling herself, placing curses on her opponents, causing them to stumble apart, blinded and stunned by fairy magics. She could always use her bear, but she decided to just let Mitsu handle all the murdering. Besides, she was better at it than Empi.

".....if that thing shows up in my room when I get changed, I don't care if I get fired, I'll smash it to pieces."
-
I also forgot what the alternative was, so I'll just retcon out how she got her hands on Command Seals and leave it at that :\ Better to leave it more mysterious. And also, she DID choose to go there. Her parents asked her to, she decided to go because they asked (and you know, they're her parents, why would she say otherwise). The pilot and the plane were her method of getting there.

This was it. Sophie swallowed nervously. The circle had been drawn in the middle of the hotel room she'd rented. She'd acquired as many newspapers as possible to draw the circle upon and cleared as much space as possible; the complementary coffee table and chairs were tipped up against the wall and the table where the TV was mounted shoved to the corner of the room. By most standards, it was a decent room in a decent hotel; Sophie hadn't really banked on spending long in Caudoran. Really, this was the first stop she'd intended to make on a long journey; she was going to meet up with a few college friends of her once she flew out from Caudoran in Ibiza to spend the summer celebrating Sophie's biggest scoop ever. Sophie really was only here to pick up something from a storage space her parents had opened; they lived upstate now, up near Ontario, and asked her if she could pass by Caudoran before she got to Ibiza. They even paid for her trip to and from the place; hired a guide to walk her there, since it apparently wasn't far. Sophie, of course, had never even heard of the place before, except as that place her parents said they were from when she was really young and told her never to tell anyone else they came from there. Now that she mentioned it, they really didn't talk about it a lot for some reason. Her recent exposé of the Nozama Corporation had been all over the news lately. Not without reason; Sophie had discovered evidence of various shenanigans the corporation had engaged in. Illegal experimentation, extortion, embezzlement, artificially raising the price of vaccines; the company was guilty of it all, and Sophie had spent months getting enough to take them down. She'd run into various bumps on the way; they'd tried to have her arrested for industrial espionage and then illegally committed to a mental health institution on account of supposedly being insane. That last part was difficult; climbing out the back of a hospital window on bedsheets was really far harder than they made it seem in the movies. Indeed, it was a miracle she'd even made it to print with the sheer pressure they were putting on her paper to keep it quiet. Not that Sophie would be easy to cow; she'd been to warzones before. Of course, it wasn't all for nothing; last she'd heard, the CEO was looking at decades behind bars and Sophie was looking at a Pulitzer. This, however, was it. The biggest scoop of her career. Or the biggest and most embarrassing waste of money she'd had in her holiday- and she hadn't even gotten to Ibiza yet. Getting her hands on all this nonsense was really difficult, of course. One thing led to another and suddenly she was sitting in a room, spraying blood over some magic circle to prove magic existed. She couldn't tell you herself how she'd ended up doing it, too. Her family always claimed magic existed, and tried to drum it into her, but she was really young when it happened. Nowadays, she thought it was complete nonsense; magic wasn't real, and you couldn't wave your hands about or use jewels to hold prana or whatever. And now she might be about to be wrong about that. Next thing she knew, she was also wrong about Bigfoot and UFOs being fiction. She sighed. Sophie really didn't understand how she got into this mess, but now that she was in it, she thought she might as well see it through. "Well, here goes everything. I don't even know why I'm doing this...." She poured out some pig's blood over the circle she'd made. Blood of various animals was really easy to get around here, for some reason. She assumed it was all because of this magic stuff. Or maybe because everyone in Caudoran really liked black pudding. Sophie closed her eyes. This really wasn't going to work. She started chanting. "Blood flows unhindered Stories of greatness intertwine My body is yours Your heart I desire Brandish your soul against my foes Come forth with me unto victory!" And then the circle started glowing. -
"Doesn't mean I can't find it kinda sappy. Still, it's kinda cute. Not that I like that or anything."
-
"Good grief. It's okay to be scared in yer first fight. It's not like we're all some badass kids from some anime who know how to fight from birth, right?"
