  1. "Y-You mean something else besides that I'm apparently n-not very good at dodgeball...? Sorry for p-putting you out by the way..." Alva said. She seemed to be calming down a bit. "Something a-about myself? U-Uh..." Where do you even start on a question like that, even if you're not just trying to avoid thinking about all the pain? "I-I'm an Alexian, I guess is something? Even though I think I got put in a cabin with some Kallistles for some reason..." she paused. "...I think I'm in y-your cabin, actually. We just haven't really talked. We should though!"
  2. Alva struggled to focus, taking deep but shakey breaths as she tried to calm herself and focus on something, anything else but the pain. That voice. That's a good thing to focus on, yeah. She didn't seem to notice she was causing Kaede injury, although she began to lighten the pressure. "I-I-I'm Alva... pretty b-bad way to be i-introduced, isn't it?" she stammered. Humor, that would help shift focus, right? Right. Her mind was going in a bunch of different places and she was trying to set it in order and not panic too much. The pain was still stabbing her shoulder and she could feel a dull tingle across a lot of her body - that wasn't supposed to be what you felt right? Unbeknownst to Alva, a pattern of green diamonds was spreading across her skin where she felt that tingling.
  3. Alva tried not to move too much as Kaede sat her up. The pain was still terrible, but she was beginning to get... used to it, enough to think. What had even happened? One moment she'd tossed a ball the next she was on the floor in immense pain. That... didn't make sense. She felt a dabbing below her eyes and the tears were cleared, and she was left looking into a pair of deep blue oceans. She... felt sort of off, although she didn't know if it was something about her or the one holding her. But she tried to remain calm, and looking into those sapphire-blue eyes somewhat helped. Even if something might have been wrong, if Kaede could be so ridiculously calm, Alva could do it too! At least that's what she told herself. As Kaede warned her of the pain, she nodded, hand drifting onto the other girl's shoulder just in time for Kaede to shove her shoulder back into it's proper place. Alva screamed again - didn't have the presence of mind to try to keep it in, and Alva's hand squeezed down hard, probably enough that it'd hurt for a normal person. The tears were threatening to come forth again and she tried to keep them back with some success as she fought not to faint.
  4. Alva groaned in pain as people began to come towards her. It was hard to sort out what people were saying, the pain dominating the girl's thoughts until a calm, mostly neutral voice cut through the panic. She opened her eyes a bit and saw... Kaede she said she was? Albeit blurry through tears. She couldn't force herself to talk, so instead she just nodded slightly and tried to not put any pressure on her dislocated shoulder.
  5. Alva Alva gasped as the ball slammed into her and she was thrown back. She just lay there for a while, not moving very much as the shock from the sudden injury numbed her. She was like that for a few seconds until the pain hit, starting from her shoulder and seeming to almost spread from there, and she began to scream from the pain. It was like a cold burn from the site and onwards across her body. She tried to put an arm on her shoulder but as her fingers brushed the site a new spike of pain brought out another cry. If someone came to help her they'd see she was trying not to cry and failing.
  6. Amber, Vale 8.26 Art: Ether Infusion: Applies Melee Defense Up to an ally for 2 turns, cooldown 4 On Embla.
  7. Satomi muttered something like 'One minute...' as she wandered to the kitchen to get breakfast being made, and while she was there splashed some water on her face to wake up a bit. She went back to her father. She yawned before responding. "Could've been better... another nightmare." she adjusted her glasses - they were a tad askew, so it was hard to tell whether this was that tic she had when she was nervous or just actually adjusting them. "How early did you get up? Have you had a real breakfast yet? Crackers hardly count." Back into 'concerned daughter' mode. She heard a muffled ringing from her room - she'd pick it up in a bit.

  9. Satomi Satomi bolted upright in bed, hand over her mouth to prevent herself from screaming. She'd been having nightmares the last few days - but this was different somehow, she felt. It felt real. She sat in bed for a bit, as her heart returned to a normal pace. The last few days had been a flurry of activity, following the Angel attack. There had already been work to do setting up the new settlement. The attack basically erased most of what had been done and doubled what was left to do. People kept a wide berth around where the Angel had popped up, and some avoided where the Evas had stepped too. She helped where she could - she was one of the few that hadn't lost anyone in it, so she felt she had to do it, even though she technically didn't need to, being Doctor Hashimoto's daughter. When she had a break, she was doing research about the Evas from all that time ago. There was frustratingly little information - most of what she could find was public knowledge and taught in schools, and the rest was classified things she didn't have the authority to access. She didn't like not knowing anything, especially when she may have to pilot again, and she couldn't get much out of her father either. As for the others, she'd been trying to keep in touch. With some it was easier than others. Ahmed wasn't his normal, boisterous self. He was spending a lot of time with his surviving family and seemed eager for her to spend time with him and his mother, and she didn't mind Mrs. Albadhinjan. She'd tried to talk with Ranga and Beverly as well - the former was a nice enough girl, and the latter... she meant well, Satomi was sure. But it was a tad annoying to be called Princess all the time instead of her actual name. Kyou... she wasn't sure what to make of how Kyou had been acting. She'd been pretty depressed, but seemed to be just short of physically clinging to her, so Satomi had been spending a lot of time with... what was left of her family too. Satomi shook her head, and fumbled around for her glasses. She'd have things to do. She had to make sure Father ate and didn't fall asleep at his computer again...
  10. Well, Lilith first - Alva threw a ball somewhat hard, with intent to hit her. Assuming Lilith doesn't catch it and send her out, she would start throwing balls harder at Ceci, eventually trying more than one at the same time to help at least one hit.
  11. Alva pumped a fist in the air excitedly as she hit Kaede out. Yes! She was pretty much the only one who'd been doing things that was left, so should be an easy win from here. She ran to pick up a couple more balls and tossed them towards the remaining members of the other team, assuming that they don't do something to stop her.
  12. Alva Alva, not entirely sure how she was still in at the moment, picked up another ball. Looking for a target, she noticed Kaede stopping for a few moments. A chance! She reeled back and threw the ball at the girl, aiming to hit the shoulder - a bit harder to catch if she suddenly returned to action and wouldn't hurt too much if it hit.
  13. "If we're lucky, I won't need to..." Satomi said as her father returned to the terminal, her tone betraying that she does not believe that they'll be that lucky. She listened quietly as he listed the three priorities - reasonable enough for the first and second, but the last... she'd need to think about that one when it comes to it. She adjusts her glasses a bit. "...Understood, father." she said after a while, quietly finishing the rest of her food. After she's done, she picks up the plates. "I'm going to clean up and then go to bed, if there isn't anything else?"
  14. "Good shot, Morgan." Renee says as she walks up beside her sister, sword prepared. G10
