  1. Ciri - [Alexander/Ciri] Ciri still looks focused on the task at hand, but does seem to notice Alexander's reaction. "I really don't know why all my powers look so... evil. I think it's probably the Book's fault." she says, as the White begins to creep into the walls of the room. "I won't have full knowledge of the Canvas until it's completed. It'll take another hour and a half or so for it to have completed the safe room in it's entirety and start creating the Canvas proper, and then I'll still be limited to sensing within it. I recommend setting up security measures. Maybe something to make a noise if one goes offline. Once that's done, feel free to go to sleep. I'll be able to pay a bit more attention once the Safe Room is complete."
  2. Ciri - [Alexander/Ciri] "Mm. Well, this may feel a bit weird. It won't mess with you since you're in here with me though." Ciri says, with that, the floor around her starts glowing blue with mana. After a few minutes, the glow fades... and then the floor directly under Ciri turns stark white. At first, it doesn't seem to move. Then, slowly, the white... capital-w, actually, the White begins to spread from the small square beneath Ciri, expanding around her and slowly creeps over the ground. "This is going to be the safe room - it'll be near the center of the territory, and the place where we get the most mana." Ciri explains. The White creeps past the place that Alexander is standing, and a spike of cold goes down his spine. He feels... something, the Nightmare Canvas itself perhaps, examining him, staring hungrily at his soul, but a gesture from Ciri makes the feeling fade. The White continues across the ground, the room slowly turning as colorless as a blank canvas. "Don't worry... it won't mess with the files or anything." she assures her Master. She briefly extends a hand to him, palm open and containing a few wicked-looking seeds. "When the floor's done, plant these in the cracks in the floor. Dirt would be better but they can work with the ground. They'll disappear with me at the end of the War, so your associate won't need to defoliate things." Erica - [Rider and Erica] Erica smiled a bit - taking out an opponent, or even forcing them to reveal themselves, was certainly a good way to start off the War. To the bird, she was a bit puzzled - she pulled a cracker out of her pocket (she'd been meaning to have a snack before she was interrupted by the summoning), removed it from the wrapper, and gave it to the bird. "How do you want to help? Think you could go find who we're up against?" The Master turned towards the building indicated. Or it's general direction - she didn't have a spyglass of her own so she couldn't exactly see the figures on the roof. She did know they had made a mistake.
  3. Hikari The jetbike-mounted idol continues to do what she's been doing - healing and buffing whenever she could, and doing her best not to get shot down - she probably wasn't as much a threat as the helicopter thing, but was probably an appealing target to those not in range of it. Victoria On the ground, Victoria calmly continues to fire even as the enemies make it into melee range. Without missing a beat, she switches target from the officers to the nearest enemies, shooting anything that gets close and switching back to shooting ranged attackers if there's nothing near her.
  4. Elise, with a nod of thanks to the bard, charges forwards and tries to impale the thief, grabbing... whatever he'd stolen, and then moves to safety. L23, Iron Lance the thief, canto to K21
  5. Ciri - [Alexander/Ciri] Ciri, rather than just do nothing, also helps to unload the supplies. This is quite helpful, seeing that even as a Caster she is far stronger than any human. "It'll take a couple hours to create the safe room. While powerful mages can resist being consumed by the Territory, i recommend you stay with me, just in case. I hope you've brought a book. I can't do anything while making the Territory, but I can interrupt the process quite easily if it's needed, and resume at a later point. Even though it takes a while for the Territory to be completed, I can still use it in between starting and finishing, although it'll be weaker." she says. Having brought in most of the supplies, she began to set up in the main area of the lab, sitting in a meditative position with her hands on the ground, eyes closed. "I don't think it can all be my safe room, but I can make sure that what's within it is not destroyed as well, with the tradeoff of not really being able to manipulate those sections. Yes, you'll have a bathroom. Please tell me when I can start the process." She takes a deep breath, and takes the Book out of seemingly nowhere, placing it on her lap. She wasn't entirely sure she needed it for this part... but she felt it helped. Alexander, if he looked, could feel... something, from the Book. Similar to what he could feel from Caster, but... darker, almost sinister.
  6. Ciri - [Alexander/Ciri] Ciri shook her head. "It doesn't tell us most things. I would assume that it would need a place with a lot of mana to manifest. It's also reasonable to assume that there is at least one Servant of each class. Neither of these can be confirmed right now, though." Ciri said. It was rather... disturbing? Annoying? That the Grail would not give them sufficient information on so many basic things. As they pulled into the parking lot, Ciri took a deep breath, feeling for the mana... yes, she felt the leylines connecting here... "This will be perfect - plenty of space for a large Territory and the mana to sustain it and myself. You're sure there's no night guards or something? I would hate for someone to get consumed by the Territory's creation." Figuring she may need to explain something, she continues. "It'll take a few hours to start, and then quite a bit longer to complete it. It'll be much, much faster though, since we're on a leyline. I need to have a central room in there, a 'safe room' so to speak, that's the grounding point of the whole Territory. If we're going to be needing anything from the warehouse we should put it in there, and bring the things from the car before I start... oh, and the driver probably should stay away once I start, or he might get caught up in it." Erica - [Rider and Erica] Erica nodded. "Yeah... this is a very powerful Noble Phantasm. I honestly can't see how another Servant would deal with this unless they could somehow teleport onto the deck itself." she says, smiling - she had certainly summoned a powerful Servant. While the bird that had landed on her shoulder had an irritating voice it was certainly a beautiful creature - she gently stroked it as she followed Ignacio to the helm of the ship, stepping over the scattered bones of that skeleton. "The other Masters and Servants will be preparing for the War ahead... let's go see if we can start it early for them, shall we?' she suggests.
  7. "You're not getting away!" Elise shouts to the fleeing thief, as she spurs her pegasus forwards to get in range to toss her javelin. L22, jav the thief.
  8. Yuri looks at Azusa, since she was the only one still present - "Do you want to take that tech expo job with me? Figured may as well do it to get some money - we'll probably have more time to prepare before the show, anyway."
  9. Ciri - [Alexander/Ciri] Ciri tries to think of the answer or a few moments - was that something the Grail had made her know, like so many other things? The answer seemed to be no, as she came up blank. She shakes her head. "No idea - the Grail didn't give me that information, it seems. I would assume yes - otherwise why would it summon Servants who could have wishes? - but there's no way to know for sure but to win the War."
  10. Ciri - [Alexander/Ciri] Ciri considered the question. "He seemed kinda jumpy, like he was expecting someone to leap out and attack him - ready to defend himself, I mean. Either he has some enemies or you in particular make him nervous. Didn't seem enthused to do you a favor, but sounded like he was trying to be amicable. Family associate, probably doesn't like you very much? He seemed afraid when you brought up this Jasper person. Not for his business - if he's like you said he is, he can lose six million, he can catch up on two week's lost research. You were making a rather unsubtle threat to him, and his family, which got him scared. I'm guessing your family has some sort of sway over him and his. Does that seem about right?" she says. The Caster-class Servant doesn't outwardly seem particularly perturbed, but inside Ciri is a tad uncomfortable. It seemed she'd be summoned by a part of the magical mafia or something. Well, it shouldn't matter in the end.
  11. Erica - [Rider and Erica] "It's a very impressive ship, to be sure." Erica says, getting to her feet and nodding to the skeleton. A bit disconcerting, sure, but not an abnormal summon. "So, I suppose what we do next is look for other Servants? I'm guessing that most will be looking for somewhere to set up, a home base they can defend - we have an advantage since our home base came with you." Ciri - [Alexander/Ciri] Ciri had followed out of the car in her spirit form, staying near Alexander. She listened with curiosity- this would quite help, if what she believed was going on was correct. When she was told she could reappear she did so, right next to Alexander. "I take it that that should secure a location for us?" she asks, to confirm. "If it's right on a leyline intersection, it should take significant strain off of you and me both."
  12. Erica - [Rider and Erica] Erica's pretty quiet on the ride up - she's not the sort to scream at this kind of thing. Her friends have told her that she can be quite boring to go on roller coasters with because of it. Regardless, she remains remarkably calm as she's brought up to the ship. Ciri - [Alexander/Ciri] Ciri nods. "While I can make my Territory without being directly over a mana line, it is more intensive in mana and I have access to less myself - nevermind that being situated directly over such an intersection would make it easier for you to maintain me."
  13. Elise keeps quiet. She's not really one for witty battle banter. J18
  14. Erica - [Rider and Erica] "Right, then..." Erica mutters, grabbing onto Ignacio's arm and holding tight. It simply wouldn't do to fall to her death after going so far as to summon her Servant. "Up we go." Ciri - [Alexander/Ciri] Ciri nods, and climbs into the back seat. "I'd prefer physical form for now at least." she says. "I'll take spirit form when it comes time to leave the car - I'd probably scare anyone not involved in the War. And ideally, the people that are in it too." she looks around the vehicle. Her Master had been prepared - he might be having difficulty providing her the mana she required, but his participation in the War was evidently not a spur of the moment thing.
  15. Erica - [Rider and Erica] The newly-minted Master looks up through the hole that Rider had left in the roof. "...Well, that explains your class... I think in this particular case, Rider will be just fine." she says. She stands back as the Servant bows, before returning the gesture - only the polite thing to do. "A pleasure to meet you, Ignacio. I'll call you Rider if it's just the same to you - every advantage can help and the enemy not knowing you is an advantage. Although... I'm sure they'll recognize you quickly. The ship's pretty noticeable. Anyway, I look forward to working with you. And thank you for the compliment, Cojiro."
  16. Hikari stays above the battle for the most part, casting her buffs and heals and occasionally following up on attacks when she can get a moment in-between. This works a lot better with the Pulse Rifle than it would with her normal spears since she doesn't need to try to dive-bomb the enemy to do this. Victoria, on the other hand, is on the ground, albeit mostly in the back - ranged attacker, after all. She particularly aims for very threatening opponents, sniping priority targets - after all, her weapon is not a machine gun, so she can hardly spray and pray.
  17. Ciri - [Alexander/Ciri] Ciri followed after Alexander. When she was told to wait she did so, taking the time to examine the surroundings. She didn't see any futuristic tech - guess it hadn't been a huge amount of time since she died... when did she die? How? She didn't remember. She assumed she didn't live long after getting the Book, but she could hardly remember. Anyway, the house seemed... normal. Fancy, but normal. Unless it was a retro-style home, like those Colonial-era buildings a bunch of old cities in America have. It didn't really matter she supposed. When Alexander came out, the Caster followed him towards the garage. "...It does. I would rather not say what it is, if that's alright with you, Master." she said simply. It was odd to be considered a legend. Very odd. She wondered how he'd react if he found that the thing that caused it was something so simple, so stupid?
  18. Erica - [Rider and Erica] Erica takes a step back as her Servant appears, and promptly wrecks the room. So much for the deposit. She cautiously stepped forward. "Uh... yes, I was the one that summoned you." she said, as her mind took in the information. She winced a bit at how much mana he'd drain - she could handle it but her magic would definitely be effected. He was... powerful, though. Very powerful... and absolutely insane. Well... it'd be an interesting War, she supposed. The telepathy also informed her of his class and name... A pirate, huh? Well, she should keep to the class. Who knows what familiars could be listening? "Are you alright... Rider?" Ciri - [Alexander/Ciri] Caster looks around the room, appraising. "Nice place - better than where I lived, at least." she says. She shakes his hand with her non-planty one, and nods at the appraisal. "With proper preparation, I like to think it's worth more than it's rank." she says. Ciri somewhat awkwardly waves to the lowercase-s servant. She blinked when the man asked about her wish, and what she'd be willing to do. "It's pretty simple really. I'd wish to live - and to not make old mistakes again." she felt the Book gnaw at her. Yeah, that mistake. "As for what I'd do... well, I'd prefer not to kill people to be honest. But if they don't surrender, well what else do I do? I gave them a chance and they didn't take it. You won't need your Seals to make me kill if that's the worry." she shrugs. "Other than that, no major hangups come to mind. You know, it's odd that you bothered to ask what I want - you're my Master, so I have to do whatever you say."
  19. [Ciri and Alexander] The flash in the upper class domicile that Alexander had made his summoning in faded. Smoke curled from the circle of blood that had been used to summon, and as Alexander blinks the spots away he sees his new Servant standing before him. She's far from intimidating at first glance, as she stands there with her eyes closed and arms behind her back. The short girl doesn't look like she could be more than 16 years old, although her figure isn't terrible. She also has green hair, long and flowing to her waist. The dress she wears is the oddest thing at first glance, green and almost seeming to be made of leaves, and probably the only thing she's wearing - although it is rather modest, it does look like it'd allow for freedom of movement. Then, she opens her eyes - pure green, with no apparent pupils. It's unnerving. He starts to notice more details - the right side of her face seems to have... leaves, growing from it. As she stretches her arms, he sees that her right arm is far from human - it seems to be some kind of malevolent-looking plant, woody and thorny and twisted. Her hair isn't just green either - it seems made of vines and leaves, with thorns prickling throughout it. Her skin is tinged green in many parts, and she seems far dirtier than one just summoned should be. Those pure-green eyes lock on Alexander. Looking like a mad dryad, one might expect a different voice. Creepy, maybe a bit echo-y. But her voice is just that of a sixteen year old girl, soft and curious but for it's words. "Huh. So that's what it feels like... I guess you're my master, then?" she says, continuing to stretch. "I'm a Servant of the Caster class. I guess we'll be working together."
  20. You suggested that they get obsessed with the holy grail for some reason or other and end up in the city somehow, and become a Master. You did not go into specifics, iirc
  21. If you can't fly there, why does it have an airport? Or is there some exception?
  22. Erica had been sipping at some coffee, watching the sunset, when she felt it. She got up and stretched, grinning - it was time. She went into the space she'd prepared. Soon, she stood in a spartan room, lacking windows and largely any kind of decoration but for a bloody circle - of course, an established mage would have blood prepped for any such ritual. She stood over the circle, scanning for any errors, any imperfections that may render her summon null, any sort of contamination - none existed. The circle would do it's job. She thrust her left hand out, the back of it bearing a sign that would resemble an eagle, if it's head were removed, making three distinct parts where it's body and wings would be. With a quick glance at the notes she'd written, she begins her chant, in rising volume. "Blood flows unhindered Stories of greatness intertwine My body is yours Your heart I desire Brandish your soul against my foes Come forth with me unto victory!" The last line is practically shouted - she got caught up in the moment. Good thing nobody else was on this floor. She had barely a moment to consider this as her mark glowed, and the blue flame of magic caught on the circle, and a flash lit the room.
  23. Yuri just patted the crying girl, letting her cry herself out. "That's right, let it go... it's fine... we were all afraid..." she muttered, "We'll get through this, I'm sure of it..."
  24. Yuri doesn't press on the 'you are clearly scared' front - that'd probably just make her cry. "Well, from what Stella said... if we perform well, we get stronger. So all we have to do, is perform well, and we'll be fine. Now then..." she pats Yuki's hand, before standing and walking over to Ayaka. She knew this look. She'd helped with it enough before - so she did what she thought would work and gave Ayaka a hug because it certainly looked like she needed it.
  25. Seeing as the fifth member had left when she wasn't looking, Yuri decides to move on with the conversation. "I... don't know how to put this. I'll be honest, what happened was terrifying." she glanced at the girl who was pretending she was not bothered. "Only reason I wasn't totally panicking was because I had to protect Yuki. Just to confirm - we are going to have to do that in the future. Quite a bit, from the sounds of it - nobody's going to be judging anyone for leaving. And nobody's going to be judging anyone for being afraid." she said. She put her hand on Yuki's.
