  1. I shall be making a peg knight sheet. Probably going Kinshi Knight just because.
  2. "Got any axes?" Clarisse asks the merchant. May as well check. Idly, she wondered if she'd have the time to visit home...
  3. Aiko sighs as they get within the walls, and removes her oversized backpack and places it on the ground, before pulling up the handle - turns out it's one of those rolling backpacks and she was just keeping it on to hide the tail - which sort of flops out from a hole cut in her pants almost immediately. "Ahhhh, that feels much better..." she mutters. Hey, pay attention. Wha- ooooh they're introducing themselves... Aiko hastily bows. "My name is Aiko Fuyumi, and it's a pleasure to meet you all!" she says as she returns to an upright position. "I'm a woman, so female pronouns would be nice. I'm a human, and worked at my family's shrine up until now." she says that she's 'human' without missing a beat. As her ears twitch again and her tail sort of swooshes behind her, perhaps making that a bit hard to believe. You're forgetting something! I am not going to dignify your presence by acknowledging you unless someone else asks.
  4. Clarisse nods as their destination is stated. "Z'Ark, huh? I wonder if Caleb's home..." She heads inside, mostly to get something to eat rather than necessarily drinking herself into a stupor. If Myrdwyn looks like she's getting anywhere near anything alcoholic, she's going to be on the other end of the hall.
  5. Aiko looks over the page for a bit. What was she even interested in? After a few minutes of consideration, she swiftly marked off "Psychology", "Magic", "History", and "Biology". "Hope these were the right ones... haven't managed to get the translation spell to work on text just yet..."
  6. Clarisse was going to respond but the pegasus rider moves on too quickly. Guess she'd rather not dwell on it. "I see... that does make sense. I think the bard guy may have been a bit busy panicking to pick me up. Thanks for that - I'll have to thank Beau too for letting me on, even unconscious."
  7. Victoria sees the explosion coming just a bit too late. Too late for her to get out of the way or warn anyone - so what she does instead, is to plop her Soul Gem out of it's socket in her ring - it grows to it's full size - and turn away from the explosion, protecting the crystal with her body. As long as the gem is intact she'll live - or at least get back up after being killed. So when she's tossed and burnt by the explosion, while in all likelihood she does actually die from it, her gem remains unscathed.
  8. "...Why... what... I don't even... huh?" Hikari muttered. She could not comprehend what she had just seen, because she was just a woman in her early 20s and not one who could comprehend what the hell she had been shown, why she had been shown it, or anything about it. Hikari. Just pretend you didn't see that. Be traumatized later when you're not in a big fight. Hikari shook her head side to side to try to clear her thoughts. Focus. Dia on Symmetra.
  9. Aiko has just been listening while this all went on. While her family was hardly estranged from the supernatural world, they dealt mostly with Japanese myths. This was all rather interesting. She has removed the thermos she mentioned earlier from her bag at some point and just sips some tea. Lots of things I've never seen before here... Huh. A bit tame really, not even any embodiments of malice or eldritch pseudo-deities. Do I want to know? Not if you value your sanity.
  10. Aiko blinked as Shaun took off the hoodie and showed the wolf ears. At least she wasn't alone in the whole 'animal-ears and tail' thing? "Oh, never met one before. Nice to meet you." Oh, he might eat you if you get near him on the full moon. You're small enough. ...Can you not be quiet for five minutes? I technically can but I lack the capacity. To the other man: "Yeah, that seems like it'd be the obvious answer... although, we don't know if that extends to us, since we're outside of it."
  11. "...Probably, yeah. I assume that some colleges in the country have walls to keep out trespassers? I've heard that there's been lots of murders in schools before..." Aiko had to admit, a wall is pretty damn eye-catching. Were they magically making it seem normal?
  12. "I think it'll probably be fine once we're inside. That's probably what the wall is for."
  13. Aiko blinks as another very tall person arrives to talk to her. "Yes, a shrine maiden... I mostly just make sure everything's in order, my mom takes care of any kind of services." Then the stuff about... some Thor guy? "...Who?" Oh, *those* guys? They're total jerks sometimes... hardly share their alcohol... Who? Nevermind, doesn't matter for you. Rocky helpfully clarifies for her. "Y-Yes, Shinto. Sorry to disappoint you... oh, I'm actually uh... human. I think I still count at least." Selfish little brat. "I think the point is that we're right outside a city, so somebody could be passing by and hear us."
  14. "Interesting? Yeah, I guess so. Plenty of people came to the shrine. I liked it well enough - it was always pretty peaceful, which is a nice change from city life now and then." I think he might have meant something else by 'interesting'. Or, maybe not everyone is like you.
  15. "Nothing weird. I was paid to tend a shrine back home." It wasn't a lie - she did get paid. Donations went to maintaining the shrine, and that included paying those that tended to it. As much as the Fuyumi family would tend it anyway, they did need to eat and have a home. She just didn't buy an animal-ear headband with the money.
  16. "Yes! That's what it is." Aiko says, recovering her composure. Her tone probably makes it obvious that she is mostly doing this because until they're in the school, it's probably not smart to show supernatural-ness. "They're really cool, yeah. Kinda expensive but I had a job so I could save up!" To be fair, from what I've heard you being Japanese just puts a weirdness filter on people.
  17. "...Oh crap, they're moving aren't they?" she says, placing her hands over the ears. They continue to twitch a bit while pressed down. "Uh..." What are you worried about? Everyone here is a supernatural. But they're weird! And not mine! And what if somebody not-supernatural sees them!? What's wrong with fox ears, huh!? Aiko awkwardly laughs. "...Yes, uh... weird hat."
  18. "I'm Aiko. It's a pleasure to meet you!" Aiko says, as Shaun wakes up. "Do you need some coffee or tea or something? I should have a thermos in my bag... oh, I don't need help, no. Thanks for offering though! It kinda helps to hide something." As if on cue with the comment on her hat, the ears twitch a bit.
  19. Shaun feels a tap on his shoulder. A few taps. When he comes too, he sees a weeb an asian girl with oversized luggage and apparently a fox-ear hat poking at him. "You probably shouldn't sleep. If the group leader comes you might just get left out here." Nosy nosy girl, I see. Hey, it'd suck to get left out and miss orientation. "Sorry to wake you up but, well, missing orientation is probably not a good start to the year."
  20. Hikari takes a deep breath, as the group plunges into combat. Alright, once more. Auto-Support gives a defensive buff to Hikari, and Symmetra. It gives an offensive buff to Kagari and Bridgett. Hikari casts Tarukaja/Rakukaja and gives herself an attack buff, and Kagari a defense buff.
  21. "Well I can put the backpack down but I probably shouldn't, you know? City's right there..." Aiko says, as she adjusts the backpack to try to make it less uncomfortable - and then the guy leaves. Aiko shrugs and gets back to being impatient.
