  1. Alwine rushes forward and tosses an axe! Johan lets out a roaring battlecry and song, reinvigorating Aidan and Alwine. In the guard post, a muffled cry comes out - “AND MAY THE WORTHY FIND VALHALLA!”. Opus had been taking some mercs lately... From Linton’s perspective, it turns out Sven is from Kahla. Shin visibly flinches and Henry steps back a little. Winston follows up Alwine’s axe throw, and… well, Winston things happened. “Inspired” by Johan’s song of war, Aidan steps forward to blast a knight in the face. Alwine steps between the pillars before tossing an axe at the swordsman. Then, she prepares to guard Elizabeth from any attacks. Then, Bradwr charges down the swordsman to hit him too, running him through. Player Status: (17/100 XP) Enemy Status: Stats
  2. Damage reports floated across 6D's vision, but she just smirked. This was what she was built to do, and it was working well - the Judge hit hard, but that's all it was doing. And while it was doing that, it was quite distinctly not hitting her allies. That said... she was not alone. "I've taken heavy damage - gonna need some support!" she reported, before bringing her sword down towards the Judge's head in a crushing strike. Stunning Strike on the Judge! Deals damage of equipped weapon, and stuns the target for a turn. Tactical Support Pod deals 2d4 damage to the Judge! Lightning Speed Count: 3 - Extra action! Attack with Type-4O Blade!
  3. "Heh, I guess it does. She tried the same on me, all the time - did you know she tried to use Myrdwyn as some kind of advertisement for me? Like, "she can take you flying! How many girls can do that?". Cecily laughed a little - if their mother had caught anyone with that before they left, it probably wouldn't have ended well. "I knew too..." Not that she liked having to kill people, something clear in her voice. "Anyway, I hope that the mission works out well. If there's anyone innocent in there, we'll get them out, yeah?"
  4. Alva, thankfully, could answer these questions honestly. At least in a way that she thought would keep her... mostly safe. Why was she being threatened with death so often lately? It was absolutely ridiculous... "I definitely wasn't involved in the crater thing. Kaede, and I were going in the other direction from that when it happened, after I got my shoulder dislocated in dodgeball. The crater thing was kinda scary... And I haven't met anyone claiming to be a goddess. That'd be kinda crazy wouldn't it?" Alva said honestly enough. She and Kaede and Riley had been going the other way when it happened. And then been accosted by a lady who could mess with time and wanted to use her as some kind of eternal human sacrifice. She couldn't answer the third question, but did look at the one Arturia had brought with her... hey, wasn't she the one who threw the ball that hard?
  5. Marl fires the ballista at the shaman in the middle, but misses. "What the- behind us! Ready, men!"
  6. On the wagon ride, Cecily would plop herself down next to her sister. She had... well, she wasn't sure what to think of recent events. She knew that killing would happen when she joined up. She didn't like it, but it had to be done, right? At this point, she was more worried about her sibling... "Hey, sis." she began... a bit bluntly. "There was some... heat, earlier. How're you feeling about it all?"
  7. Some hours have passed since Winston went to speak with his superiors. Elizabeth spent her time poking around the stables, finding that one of the horses simply would not leave her alone - to her delight. Leslie had managed to sell a variety of items to the guards in such a short time, so she was also quite happy (one payment being a set of lockpicks confiscated from a less than intelligent thief - Leslie gave them to Cassidy since she figured they’d be difficult to offload otherwise). It became clear they were going to be staying the night, and soon people would wander off to bed. The night passed peacefully. Most would be up by the time of Winston’s returned, the man looking tired but in a reasonable mood. “That… was probably the longest report I’ve ever had to give.” he groans, stretching as best he can while still in armor. “Sorry for taking so long… I passed out in the barracks after the meetings. Anyway: The king’s gonna wanna talk with you all personally. We were right on the front where Pax started an attack after all.” He glanced at Elizabeth in particular, but didn’t elaborate. “Do I have to come too…?” Leslie complained, “It’s so early…” ... Shortly after, the party was walking through the castle towards the king’s chambers. There was a tense feeling in the air, and not just because of who they were going to meet. As they were getting close, Winston tried a door, and then frowned. “...This door is locked.” he said. “Is that weird?” Elizabeth asked. “Yes. I just came through here a few hours ago. And this door is only supposed to be locked in case of an emergency.” “When was the last time anyone saw a guard?” Leslie asked. “We have a problem.” Winston stated. “Leslie, find somewhere safe to hide. Anyone know how to pick a door? I’m going to break it down otherwise.” --- Shin, mercenary mage, was having a bad day. It was supposed to be an easy job. Help guard the castle while the royal guard is away on mission. Good lodgings, good pay, and good prestige. Outstanding for a company between major contracts. It was too good to be true. But it had been, up until right now. An hour ago, all had been fine. Guards were a bit quiet. Then came the attack. Where did they come from? Nobody knew. Who were they? No identifying tags, but it wasn’t a difficult guess. How did they get so deep into Opus territory? Fuck if Shin knew. What he did know was that he and a few mercs were trapped in a guard post, with twice their number in Pax soldiers bashing on the door. “Fuck, fuck, fuck!” he said, pacing. “John, keep on that door! If they get in, you get in the way!” Player Phase 1 Objective: Rout the enemy Player Status: Enemy Status (Stats)
  8. Self-Repair Systems triggers, healing 10% HP Basic attack with Type-4O Blade (3d8+STR) on the Judge! Tactical Support Pod inflicts 2d4 damage to Judge
  9. 6D The android took barely a moment to analyse the situation, then flashed into action. The unknown machine(?) lifeform was assessed hostile. Therefore the others were allies, and to be protected. It was not difficult logic. 6D charged forward, not to strike but to ensure that the enemy did not strike the others. The support pod trailed behind, glowing white as it processed several instant commands. Combat preparation triggers, allowing two buffs as combat begins. Deflection Protocol and Retaliation Protocol buffs applied to self. Deflection Protocol: Applies [Deflectionx4] to self. Next 4 attacks against 6D roll their minimum damage. Retaliation Protocol: Applies [Retaliation] buff to self. For the next two turns, an enemy that attacks 6D will apply the [Exposed] debuff, causing them to take 15% more damage from the next attack to hit them. Confrontation Protocol is used as a free action on CFW Judge, forcing it to target 6D with at least one attack each turn for two turns. For her action, 6D uses Induce Rage on CFW Judge, restricting it it's most basic attacks for two turns. Lightning Speed Perk count: 1.
  10. 6D "...I believe we should not allow Mira to go into the forest by themselves. It may be dangerous." 6D said after a bit of awkward silence. She wasn't exactly trying to force the group along, but standing around wouldn't accomplish anything. They had to get moving, and one of the group was apparently going to do that with or without the rest of them. "That light might need investigation as well." Barring some kind of complaint, she would hurry after Mira.
  11. It was difficult to process, to say the least. So basically, the gods were powered by prayers. Ok, whatever. That... origin, thing. No clue what it was, but it was important. And apparently they could run out of that, if they didn't get those prayers. No wonder they were in short supply - until minutes ago, she had basically been an atheist herself. There wasn't exactly much faith to go around anymore. Priscilla took a deep breath, and nodded. "...Ok," she said after a while, "That's... well, that's my question answered I guess... so why are you here? You kinda... skipped that part of the question, just said that the gods are dying." Alright, focus. Have an existential crisis or whatever later.
  12. Alva Alva had been about to answer and then... well, and then things moved quickly. Kaede came back and answered for her, and then before Alva could so much as say 'hi' Arturia came in carrying a body - er, an unconscious one - and got angry at the visitor, and then Kaede got mad at her and she started wondering if she'd fucked up by letting her in... "Kaede, do you know who she is-" and then she was cut off again. This time in a much more scary way. Alva's eyes widened at the death threat... and she really hoped that her answers had been good enough to that point.
  13. Hikari uses auto-support to cast Rakukaja on herself, Isobel, and Empi. Then with her real action, she casts Tarukaja on Ritsu, applying the Session buff as well.
  14. Hikari wasn't really sure about the... floating, but everyone else was doing it... she noticed everyone else was going and rushed off, with a big (mirage-assisted) jump to get into the air as she tried to catch up.
