    Yeah, I tried doing that but many of the times I don't know how to do the events or where they are, I don't recognize Reborn's map too well yet. Edit: I managed to get like 3 decent pokémons 'till Florinia, checking the list: Pineco, Onix and Espurr, I wasn't going to be using Onix and Espurr forever though.

    Oh, I see, I thought it only worked with pokémons that have 2 normal abilities. My plan is to level up equally 6 pokémons from the start. And then replace them if I find a better one.

    Every starter has a gym fight that'll be almost useless due to typing. Edit: But it is true that Greninja's movesets are nerfed in Reborn due to the lack of strong Special Attacking TM's.

    Well, I'd still like to start from the beggining since I kind of got the hang, but I'm still in doubt about which pokémons I should be catching from the start, there aren't any good options. Edit: Blue?

    Florinia, but the problem is, only like 3-4 of my pokémon are good leveled, and there are no NPC's left to grind.

    I've started with a Protean Froakie, but as the game goes on, it doesn't get too OP, certainly the lack of TM's such as Ice Beam, Scald, etc makes Greninja less of a threat, but there's still access to Dark Pulse and level up moves like Extrasensory, Shadow Sneak and so... However, is Greninja actually the best one later in the game, or other pokémons have the potential to be more useful? What you guys think?

      does it matter? not all of ash's pokemon are fully evolved. and some if not most are bad and would get rekt in reborn style if their wasn't a little editing.
