[IC]TotMG:LF Most Dangerous Game
kj1225 replied to StormLord's topic in Trespassers of the Multiverse: Gaiden^2's General
Jack watches Sucrose climb up the side of the ship with confused awe for a while. It's about half way up that he shakes it off and shouts for the crew to get a move on with preparing the trap. -

Jack smiles in a way that says he has no idea what this being is talking about, but doesn't want to admit it and seem rude. But, he seems to get the jist of the question as he holds his hand out for a hand shake. "Captain Jack Attwater at your service. And behind me is my ship, but I'm sure you guessed that already. You uh, might want to climb aboard if you don't want to help deal with the dragon, you're less likely to get attacked on it." -

Jack continues looking a little weirded out until the gem made it clear she wasn't a native. At that point he seems to come to a realization and sighs. "Ah, you didn't come here on your own I take it? Yeah... you're not likely going to find any Gem-controlled space here... But if you come with me we might find some place like that!" -

Jack for his part, looked rather uncomfortable under the gem's gaze. After a few moments of consideration, he decided it was likely not hostile even if it was weird. "I uh... came from my ship. Up there." He gestured vaguely at the wooden vessel. "Uh, I don't know what you're doing here but you probably ought to clear out, we're about to fight a dragon and if you get caught in the crossfire you could be hurt." -

Jack nods to the sailor. "Get about 50% of it, we want our best shot at killing it before it can retaliate after all. Off load it over..." Jack trails off as he points a bit in front of the entrance, noticing something is now standing in the mouth of the cave. He tilts his head before clearing his throat. "I'm gonna go make sure that isn't something dangerous, and THEN set up where I pointed." With that, he goes and throws a rope over the side and slides down, approaching the cave entrance after doing so. -

Jack turns to Brother Carl, with a look like he just had an idea on his face. "You might want to get below deck, I'm thinking of taking some of our extra powder from in the holds, we'll bury it in the dirt outside the cave, while I stay inside it and wait for the dragon while the ship hides. Then when it comes, I can blow the powder and we'll have the jump on it, yeah?" -
Considers pressing the issue but decides it's not worth it at the moment. "Alright, well if you think something is up, just remember to say something. Can't solve problems if we don't know about them, and I've had more than enough of problems from not noticing things on my own." He quietly chuckles to himself before frowning in a way that's obviously not directed at anyone in particular. Like he had soured his own mood somewhat.

Rory nods along with IP's Explanation. "Yeah, you sound like you're in the same boat as me at least. I mean, I've never even heard of an Imperial German Navy. I'm Rory by the way." Rory briefly remembered how he had found out about this whole universe saving business, waking up after a night of drinking, and internally let out a little annoyed sigh. Nothing she could do now though.
-
Rory had initially just assumed that the woman in the room was supposed to be there. Mainly because it wouldn't be the weirdest thing to happen that day and besides, it's not like the place didn't already have it's share of weirdos. But the fact that the woman looked confused but not hostile, and more importantly, their escorts dropped into a fighting stance, made the faunus second guess that. So she quickly went into action to hopefully avoid someone getting hurt as fun as that'd be. "Wait, I think she might be with us!" Rory looked to the woman in uniform to address her. "You could start by telling us who you are and why you're here."

Aquila circles Necromaster in a manner akin to a predator eyeing a meal. Or at least someone cutting off the ability to run away. "Just give it up! You don't have the guts to finish this fight and you'll just lose the ones you do have anyway if you keep this up!" If he doesn't see reason, Aquila marks him, and then attacks him again. Rory shrugs. "Well, I don't expect much from them, if only because I don't imagine there's much in common between them... Or well, there's plenty but you're a bit too colorful to be a Grimm. But I guess if I had to say, they'd have to be devoted to a vampire for one reason or another, which both of you appear to be, and I imagine you have to be pretty powerful to be more than just common rabble." Rory rubs her chin thinking about what they actually expected of Sakuya... Giving her a quick once over again, an looking at her less impressive physique compared to the guard, only two things stood out, one, she had to use something less physically intensive as a weapon than pure strength. Likely guns or maybe a knife? Knife gun, a knife gun was the likely answer. The other thing is that if she has some form of semblance, which she almost certainly would, it had to be something that didn't rely on her taking hits, or dealing out really heavy damage with brute strength. Eventually though, Rory shrugged. "But I'm just guessing, would have to see you in a fight to get an accurate read most likely and I highly doubt one of those will be happening soon."
-
Rory, having gone with the rest without protest, turns to the maid, eyeing her for a few moments. That was the difficulty of huntsmen and other who had their aura and semblance awakened, it was normally difficult to gauge their strengths without getting into an altercation of some form. Rory hadn't really considered that the guard was the one that sent Sakuya flying earlier, but even connecting that information now they wouldn't have used it as a huge measuring point of strength. He could do that after all, with a little assistance. Curiosity getting the better of the faunus, he spoke with the usual amount of tact. "So the guard, Meiling I think, has some kind of strength enhancing thing going on. I assume you have some form of semblance too?"
-
When the word "destroy" had left the maids mouth, Rory thought it would be wise to step away from the red headed door guard. She didn't know just what they would do, but both his own world and the previous experiences she'd had with people on this one had taught Rory that typically if someone is going to do something best described as "destroying" it likely would work out. The following strike and subsequent flight of the door only served to reinforce that idea. This of course, didn't mean that Rory wasn't impressed, rather the genderbent snake faunus was rather astonished looking between the door and Meiling with a shocked expression, which soon turned to a look of obvious appraisal as Rory very obviously looked the woman over, trying to see if there was any hint as to whether that was all natural or some form of semblance or dust based ability.

Aquila really wasn't in the mood for chasing down an overweight wizard. It'd just look bad for everyone involved. So he quickly jumps on the stage and takes a whack at Necromaster with his Katana Internally glad he chose to incribe it with Kosi's rune.

Jack gingerly takes the box and gives the man a salute and a smile that's quite strained, likely due to the very magical items in the box. He hands the box off to some other unfortunate crew member who rushes to store it, and nearly trips on a stray bit of rope before luckily recovering and heading below deck. Jack himself turns and starts barking orders to get the ship in the air and on the way to the dragon's lair. -

Jack pinched his chin as he looked back to his ship in thought. Finally he turns back to the monks. "Do you happen to have spare powder and cannon balls? I'm not an expert at slaying dragons exactly so I figure if possible we should bring extra." -

Jack waves a hand at the offer of horses. "Don't worry about transportation, we can just fly The Enterprise up there. We only need the guide." -

Jack scratches the back of his head, mainly because he was suddenly kind of worried about if he was supposed to act a certain way since apparently he was sent by some goddess. A normal person may conclude that no, you don't need to change how you act. Jack was not a normal person. "Aye, that's what we're here to do, save the town and off the dragon! So let's get down to it, what should we ought to know?" -

Jack, after having surveyed the area through his spy glass, calmly grabs Akihiro by his collar when he tries to walk off. "What the hell, lad? I know it's close but ya still don't want to be swimming your way to shore do ya?" After making sure the ninja is still firmly on the boat he turns to a fairly beefy woman with green eyes, red hair, and an incredibly thick Irish accent, which Akihiro would know at this point is Jack's first mate who everyone either calls "Irish" or "Irish Mary". "Get the crew ready to dock, but also be ready to leave when needed eh? We're here for work, not pleasure." Irish gives him a quick salute before heading off, shouting orders to the crew, and soon the ship is docking at the dock with the hooded men.
