I dont see the use of espeon and xatu on one team. xatu is there to put up screens and bounce back hazards, it does the job of espeon for you. If you wanted espeon to be a sepcial sweepr, there are so many better options like Alakazam. Since your team is non weather, you will be running into weather a lot, and with alakazam's ability magic guard, he won't take damage from stealth rock, sand, hail. ?This would be a huge help, and plus if you put a focus sash on him, you would have a 100% chance of getting a hit with him ( unless they use moves like double hit...). Secondly, Salamence with a lum berry in my opinion is kind of useless. Sure it can heal confusion from outrage, but there are just so many better options. for one, focus sash. although Salamence can be hit by SR, you've got magic bounce pokemon so hazards shouldn't be a problem. IF you think focsus sash is too risky, yache berry would also be a good investment. it weakens the effectiveness of ice type attacks. Since mence has a 4x ice weakness, this may let him tank a hit depending on how strong the opponent is. I never played anything past halfway through Pokemon Pearl because it seems like the handheld games are just starting to drag on. Just throwing that out there. But the thing i don't understand is, have the plots of the game become much more sophisticated, and have Pokemon begin to play a larger part in the plot? For instance, In the first in the first 3 generations, you never saw a single kind of Pokemon being so... ehhh whats a good word for this, involved maybe. I guess the overall question is, Have the games changed their style since the first 3 generations?

So I've added 2 more sets to the team in place of Thundurus and Ferrothorn. Genesect @ Choice Scarf Trait: Download EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef) - U-turn - Thunder - Ice Beam - Hidden Power [Ground] genesect was recommended by Rupe. Pretty standard set except i opted to switch out flamethrower for hp ground. this is because flamethrower is weakened by rain, and Hp ground can hit Heatran if needed. he also covers my celebi weakness that i have on this team.
