There was a mod for e15 that solved this, but its updating for e16 is currently on hold. Missing that, you could use this one instead: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4XiRtkwr4blTDBZWXJSSnQ2UlE With this installed, you only need the badge and tm. (Checked, it doesn't forbid online play)

I've moved the mod to Google Drive... https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4XiRtkwr4blQWhlYnNRVmxvUEU

I've just been told that tinyupload is marked as unsafe... I've moved the mod to Google Drive, if you want to try it. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4XiRtkwr4blNHhUZTJlUXZJSzg

Wait, what? Firefox doesn't block it... I've been using that since joining... someone could have said something! Anyway no, it isn't an external app: it's a mod for this game that adds 2 simple weather controls to the pokegear. EDIT: I can confirm that the Squirtle is there and that the pokegear mod can be used to find him. (Go back to the city in between weather manipulations)
-
Turns out it only mostly rains in the Wasteland... using this pokegear app (http://www.rebornevo.com/forum/index.php?/topic/24679-weather/&do=findComment&comment=607947) I was able to get clear weather there eventually, though I still couldn't find Squirtle where he was supposed to be. (Admittedly, I didn't try *that* hard after making the app since I don't need him in the team)

Looking at the scripts, it seems it would actually be pretty easy to have them shuffle instead of being random. (Shuffle=put them in a random order, then cycle through them all, each once only, then rearrange them and repeat) I wonder if Ame is going to consider your idea? If not, it should be possible to mod it in anyway. EDIT I've modded it in for you (AKA "I haven't done a playthrough with it installed; be careful!")... if you want to try it, here's the link (too heavy, can't simply attach it to the post... sorry). http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=24284900388266737391 (It's a good idea to make a backup of both scripts.rxdata and your save file, just in case should anything go horribly wrong) PS If you messed up with the calendar and got it stuck, you could try using this pokegear app to unstuck it first (the "control weather" app [use both options!] should prompt the game into updating its internal time using the current one, even though it's before the one it registered when you put the calendar forward... did it fix it for you?): http://www.rebornevo.com/forum/index.php?/topic/24679-weather/&do=findComment&comment=607947

You *could* try using this mod (external link, it's too heavy to attach it here): http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=30115128204642372628 EDIT: Scratch that, it seems tinyupload is unsafe... here's the Google Drive link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4XiRtkwr4blQWhlYnNRVmxvUEU It adds a PokeGear app that lets you cycle through time (or reroll the weather week) as if you had changed the calendar. (It does so by simply setting the internal game time to 1 day/1week before the current system date) (It's a mod I made to save on softresets and calendar changes... aside from that pokegear app, in it every rock has 4 items and cannot collapse and every pokemon knows the main TMXs out of battle) (Please be careful: I'm not a programmer, so this *could* do long term damage. Or maybe not. I did finish a full playthrough with the TMX mod and mining cheat enabled, but still... be careful if you decide to try this out, ok?) (It should be safe to restore the original scripts.rxdata file when you're done with the weather... you did remember to back it up, right?)

Something like "if you get the wrong answer 10 times then the attack on the castle happens immediately and Radomus decides to fight you in the maze while escaping, skipping the chess test. Also, since you pretty much have your own gravitational field, you lose 15 relationship points with Radomus"? (Seriously, the chess puzzle is not that hard if you already know the rules...)

Maybe after becoming the champion and subduing Arceus, we could ask him to take us back in time. *beat*

There is a mod that solves this very issue, but it hasn't been updated to E16 yet: http://www.rebornevo.com/forum/index.php?/topic/21887-reborn-mods/ Waiting for that update to happen, you could try this one (it's nothing fancy, just changes the check from "does any in your party know that TMX" to "do you have the TMX in your bag"?): http://www.rebornevo.com/forum/index.php?/topic/24151-journal-using-hms-without-teaching-them/&do=findComment&comment=601935

I still think the lowest-hassle-method-of-'em-all is to use a sturdy Bonsly... give him enough common candies (if needed) so that it can fully heal with the cheapest potions, then allow Garchomp to Struggle itself to death

Btw, Donphan can also have Endeavor as an egg move (when bred with, for example, a Rattatta that knows it). Swinub can learn Ice Shard (which essentially is a Quick Attack supereffective vs Garchomp), so you can use him after Endeavor. Alternatively, Donphan can learn this move too as an egg move if you wish. IIRC you can easily catch a Phanpy (which evolves in Donphan) and a Swinub in the cave near Shade's gym.

Just found out that there is a mod here in this forum that does pretty much this, but since afaik it won't work with E16 I'm just sharing this one... It's just a slight change in the scripts so that every question like "can this pokemon use this TMX?" will always be answered "yes, if you have the machine in your Bag", which means that you can use Strength, Cut, Rock Smash, Waterfall, Dive and Surf out of battle (by activating the world object) as long as you have the TMX and the necessary badge, and that every pokemon knows Fly and Flash when out of battle (as long as you already have their TM or TMX, of course). It is likely not as well made as the existing mod (I'm not even fully sure I used the correct editor), but as it works in E16 and doesn't crash the game it can fill the role of a bridge until the proper mod is updated. Beware though: the fact that it doesn't crash my savegame doesn't mean it won't crash yours (+ I can't provide assistance if it ever does, since I'm not a programmer), and I have no idea about whether this will flag your savegame as cheat or not. EDIT: "Max total size 0.49MB"... I can't attach it to this post! Here's an external download link: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=49684240058564277210

Is that the Standard badge? If so,

Sorry but imho locations and how to obtain them would not be good additions, mainly for two reasons: 1) Some pokemon requires pretty complex manouvers, and properly explaining them takes way too much space to actually fit in a table (without stretching it to ridiculous lengths, at least). 2) The pokemon location guide here in the forum is already quite easy to navigate.

I thought "accomplished trainer" meant more something along the lines of "knows how to handle pokemons and take care of them"... Maybe the MC lived at the daycare in another region, and decided to try their luck in the newly opened Reborn region (possibly because a newly opened land offers more possibilities)? This would at least explain the lack of pokemons: the ones the MC had been training simply weren't theirs, so they couldn't take them for the journey.

Very interesting! Do you think there might be a connection with Terra too, or at least with her circus persona? I mean, she does seem to share the same logic defying powers Anna and Radomus have, and she too might even know that she is in a videogame (Radomus himself revealed to be aware of your status as a player character, and Terra made a virtual world mirroring the first pokemon games)...

This is just a little something I made because I found it difficult to use the online reference here... it's been obtained by merging that reference with info from bulbapedia. It's just a table with each pokemon's name and ID, whether it is available, its stats and its EV yield when defeated. I'm sharing it just in case you too would find it useful. Is it normal? I've tried forwarding the time a few months to get a sunny weather, and I may also have "accidentally" saved the game a few times since. (I hadn't seen the tutorial yet at the time, and when I did watch it it was too late to revert to a backup save ) This happened before the 4th gym (EDIT or was it after the 5th? nevermind, point is it happened long ago), but afterwards I was able to hex edit* my savegame to fix this... the weather returned to its normal cycling, except for the wasteland. There, it always rains, but I need clear weather for... reasons. I haven't checked the woods on the east that regularly, but the weather might be stuck there too. Do the city and the areas around it use different variables? Or maybe this is a bug in E16? If my savegame is indeed stuck and not fixable it's not a tragedy (I'm quite happy with my team and may go for a third playthrough anyway, depends on how far ahead is E17 ), but still... *started a new game, saved, then copy-pasted the string after "previousDate" onto the original savegame

Thanks!

Mmm... looks like I'll need 2 accounts ("you can't trade with yourself!"), even though it seems possible to juggle 2 different savegames on the same machine. Meh, if this was a paid service I'd have less qualms about creating multiple accounts, but as it is it would at least be rude, wouldn't it? Cheating in a different starter will probably be a better option. Thanks anyway! Getting them to play pokemon is easier said than done...

Oh my, I'm sorry! Alright, here we go: hi there, this is is my first post (the site might suggest this actually being the third, but that's just slander! I'm SO offended!). So, something about me... I like making characters of evil classes and/or background, then having them behaving like heroes. I like them being practical-minded: my characters don't usually spare the bad guys, as they are not going to give them the chance of threatening the world/galaxy/whatever again. They are never going to say "I'm not going to kill you because I don't want to be like you", especially not after having just slaughtered hundreds of faceless mooks. I know there's a metagame and several tiers, but I don't really care about that; I like to figure strategies on my own, and to choose my own squad based both on stats and simply liking a certain pokemon. This should be all that's relevant... one last thing: thanks for this awesome game!

Hi! I haven't tried the online features yet, but I do have a question: let's say that I have an endgame savegame. Let's say I don't really like any of the starters. Let's say I breed a pokemon and give it 4 rare candies . My question is: could I trade it for the starter in a new playthrough right after choosing one?

Hi there! First post, I hope this is the right place... Awesome game, characters and plot; just finished my 2nd playthrough (loving Toxic, my Skuntank was actually able to defeat Ditto without cheating nor using cheap strategies). (This is not a spoiler right? I mean, the possibility of fighting a Ditto shouldn't come as a huge shock, is it?) I do have a few requests/suggestions: (this might be the 1004925284735th time you read these, but please be merciful, I'm new here ^^") 1) What about adding the Cut/Strength/etc machines as a new pokegear app? I know you can already avoid having a machine slave thanks to Ame making them overwrittable, but swapping between them is imho needlessly bothersome. Maybe as a "pokemon drone" or "pokemon simulator" you have to actually get/build through a side quest? 2) Would an in-game journal be feasible? It doesn't have to be an auto-updating quest journal, just a blank editable space... (I'm already using a .txt file for the same purpose: taking notes about quests, main quests, things I've decided to do but don't want to forget, etc).
