Navin put his hands together and bowed lightly to the two of them when they introduced themselves. "My name is Navin Gopinath Mhasalkar, and it is my genuine pleasure to meet you. You needn't worry about flame from me -- I may have the power of creating explosions, but it is something I use sparingly and only when needed, as well as something I have learned to use very precisely -- I wouldn't harm a teammate." Then the meek girl spoke up, and Navin bowed to her as well. "Ah, I don't doubt the quality of your cooking, but I'm afraid that I will have to decline. I am something of a member of the lactovegetarian tradition whenever circumstances allow. It's a religious matter, ahimsa. ...my apologies if I am making you uncomfortable."

After Navin had reentered the castle, he had ended up wandering over to the ballroom area, and had leaned against the wall of the big room in order to get a little bit of rest -- he had suddenly found himself inside of the castle only a few minutes after a fight after all, and that exhaustion had lingered with him. Sleeping against a stone wall wasn't a very difficult thing for him either -- Navin had slept under far worse conditions before, after all, and he had learned to make do sleeping just about anywhere if he had to, out of simple pragmatism. Sounds and smells wake Navin up, and the Indian superhero slowly stands up, blinking the sleep out of his eyes. He stretches his arms a little, his shoulder lightly popping as he moves his right arm in a circle, and then leans against the wall for a couple of moments -- alright, he's still just a little tired, but he's not exhausted, so that will do just fine. Navin walks towards the kitchen, briefly waiting at the doorway, and Dackly, Gozer, and Hayle would see the Marathi man in his slightly gaudy white superhero outfit take a polite posture before speaking. "I hope I'm not intruding. I do not believe I have met any of you before, and I figure that if we are to be in here while this castle is... traveling, it would be a better idea for me to get to know the people here with me rather than just continue sleeping in the corner."

"Nnnnn..." For a brief moment, Isobel looked around, and before LOTUS could announce any plans, she suddenly shouted "Friedhold, here, you need to eat this, it'll heal you!" The botanist jogged over to the mad scientist, pulling a poppy from her satchel and shoving it into Friedhold's hands. Use Healing Poppy on Friedhold, healing him for 1d4+INT (that is, 1d4+6) HP!

Chloe kind of ducked away from William's hand, and she would have spoken, but then Shaun threw out his own theory. Well, if Chloe was blushing crimson before, now she was practically infrared, the Hawaiian's entire face turning red after Shaun's suggestion, and she immediately sent her hands upwards to cover her face in her embarrassment. "Aaaah, I didn't even consider that possibility, whyyyy?" She moved one of her hands down to instinctively smooth her skirt (even though it hadn't really been particularly ruffled), and then keep it held down, but she let her other hand stick on her face in a facepalm.
-
Chloe was indeed accidentally pushed away by Edmund, and she stumbled backwards with an "Eeep!", windmilling her arms... or rather, because she was still carrying Edmund's guitar, windmilling one arm, which made it considerably less effective on the whole. So Chloe found herself slipping backwards, as one foot missed the ground... and her fall suddenly slowed down as she instinctively floated slightly, so that she was a couple of inches off of the ground and more or less just rotating backwards while she hovered, and she even missed the ground again with a surprised kick of her foot, before finally reaching down with her leg, straightening herself up, and grounding herself. She had a fairly scarlet blush on her face, now though, and she was looking around to make sure noone saw that who shouldn't have. "Whoops..." At least she didn't drop Edmund's guitar.
-
Chloe lightly scratched at her cheek as she spoke. "I'm not really one hundred percent sure, Blackadder. Uh, maybe something travel or hospitality related? I think my being here is in large part kind of a... supernatural-political thing, I was just happy to get to see a new place, yaknow?" At Edmund's remark to Omni, Chloe leaned in and whispered conspiratorially: "I'm pretty sure that most of us aren't, Blackadder."
-
Chloe slung Edmund's guitar under her arm when he handed it to her, but did still treat it carefully, having evidently been trusted to hold it while he talked to some of the others. Chloe, too, would take the opportunity to introduce herself to Polly, who would probably note that Chloe was one of the more normal-looking folks here, being at normal height with sand colored hair, blue eyes, a purple skirt and a blue shirt. Probably the weirdest thing about her appearance was the small cylinder of sand hanging from her neck like a pendant. "Hello! My name is Chloe Kauai!" When Edmund asked her again if she was okay, Chloe started to get just a little frustrated. She knew he meant well, but she really just wanted to sweep the whole thing under the rug and be done with it. "No, seriously, I'm fine, I swear!"
-
Chloe turned to Omni, friendliness demanding that she at least greet the oddly-parka'd person before continuing to try to dissuade this Idunn girl. "Uh, hello!" Then Chloe turned to Idunn again, awkwardly stammering out another attempt at a placating sentence. "U-um, really, no, I mean it, i-it really wasn't quite such a big deal as all that!"
-
Chloe blinked a couple of times at the sudden influx of people, and once introductions start flying around, Chloe introduces herself on instinct. "Oh! My name is Chloe Kauai, it's nice to meet you all!" She then put her hands back up, in a placating gesture towards Idunn. "Uh, I would really rather you didn't make a big deal out of it, please!"
-
"Oh, uh, those people? U-uh, no, I haven't even met them!" Chloe looks at the person talking to her, and once again finds herself tilting her head upwards to speak -- this person was massive too! Wow! It took a couple of seconds for her to regain her composure after blatantly being in awe of the size of Idunn. "U-umm... don't worry about me, I'm fine!" Blackadder (who hadn't given her his first name) then barged in again, and began to sing again -- and the song that he was singing was such a fun one that she couldn't help but have the edges of her mouth quirk up again. Chloe wasn't a naturally sad person, after all, just a little sensitive.
-
Chloe was all too quick to remove herself from the situation now that she was being given an opportunity to -- it was Chloe's normal method of conflict resolution after all. She left rather more rapidly than Edmund did, even. Once he nudged her, she hurriedly got away, moving back towards the crowd, and then moving straight to the other side of it from Exorcia. She looked upset as she walked by, but a little upset rather than, say, worldcrushed -- that is to say, not looking depressed or anything, but definitely not happy.
-
Evidently Chloe had gotten fairly absorbed in her own singing, as she started just a little when Edmond joined in, barely keeping from breaking her singing. But after her initial surprise she managed to roll with it, and was smiling brightly again as she finished and Edmund took his guitar back. "A band? Whew, that does kinda sound like a lot of commitment, especially considering chances are this place is gonna just keep me super confused since this is, well, actually my first time leaving Hawaii, but I do actually like the sound of i--" That's when Exorcia came in and suddenly demanded that they stop singing --going so far as to call it "annoying"-- and Chloe was immediately stunned into silence, a bit of hurt showing in her eyes thanks to the sudden presence of a very cold demeanor and the insults coming with it, even if it was clearly primarily directed at Edmund. "U-umm..."
-
Chloe's eyes practically (albeit not literally) sparkled when Edmund handed her the guitar, and she ran her fingers over the strings, getting a feel for the guitar. "Alright, hmmm, do I give you a more mainland country song, or a less county more Hawaiian song... hmmmm... I might have to mess with your guitar for the latter, so maybe I should just go with a more straightforward country song! I don't usually spend much time on the internet, but I did join a guitar forum once back when I was learning. There was this one guy from Lexington, really liked this one song..." She began to strum, and the song she sang wasn't the most musically demanding, but it was pretty funny, and the edges of Chloe's lips kept quirking up as she sang. She sang, of course, an octave or two higher than the original lyrics, given that it's a song sung by a guy, but sing she did, and she did have a pretty good voice. "Well, I left Kentucky back in '49, an' went to Detroit workin' on a 'sembly line..."
-
The peal of laughter from Chloe would seem to indicate that she finds his fake American accent amusing, and the two quick little claps that immediately follow that laugh indicate that she's quite pleased he knows the song. She then sits down and attentively listens to his singing, smiling brightly. When the song ends, Chloe claps again and comments "Yay, that was really good! Darn, I really shouldn't have left my guitar back in Li'hue, if I'd known there woulda been other people playing guitar I wouldn't have. Guess I'll just have to spring for one sometime!"
-
"Kauai," she repeated, a little impulse of pride in her home location not enough to get her mad but enough to prompt an instinctual correction, "Colonies? Uhh... oh, you mean the United States! Yeah, I'm from Hawaii! And, uhh, I can't think of any requests off of the top of my head... well, rather, I don't know what kind of songs you know! I listen to a lot of kinda island-y music, even if I guess it's a bit stereotypical. Margaritaville comes to mind!"

"Thanks!" Chloe gleefully took the candy from his hand, whisking away the wrapper and popping the candy right into her mouth. She sucked on it as she listened to him speak, smiling at his joke (though she didn't pick up on his forced smile, she at least understood sarcasm -- she'd interacted with the sometimes rather deadpan spirit of Honolulu enough for that) and enthusiastically shook his hand with a fair amount of vigor. "Haha, I won't forget, then, Blackadder! My name is Chloe Kauai!" she energetically replied, pronouncing her last name like kow-ah-ee.

The sand-haired girl (Chloe Kauai) excitedly looked around at the collection of people here -- one girl was wearing (she thought?) one of those weird animal-ear hats that Chloe had seen a couple of times before, one girl had headphones on, there was a Chinese-looking man with evidently traditional clothing at all who was just eating a fish right then and there, and a seven foot tall man who sounded Texan with a bunch of stitches on his face, who merited a pretty blatant amazed stare from Chloe, who was pretty much gaping as she looked at the incredibly tall man. But her attention was again drawn by the sound of the strumming of a guitar and singing -- she turned and looked at a guy who was wearing a lot of black, and she immediately walked on over to him, fascinated. She greeted him with a "Oooh, you play guitar?"

A girl with sandy-colored hair approached the group, having been seen off by a group of four middle aged mages (whose garb varied from business suits to, in one case, casual clothing with a little traditional Hawaiian cloak over the shoulders) and an old man in trousers and a long-sleeved shirt who looked Native Hawaiian, at least from what could be distinguished around the bandages swathing most of his body and face. The girl herself was wearing a purple miniskirt and a blue T-shirt, with sand-colored hair and deep blue eyes and with a little cylinder full of sand hanging from her neck as a pendant. She also appeared to be pretty much bursting with energy. "Wow!" She walked over to the area the group was in, looking to be about a hair away from actually skipping, goggling at the walls of the university and taking excited glances at the city in the distance. "This place is super cool!" She's wearing a backpack, albeit not an overstuffed or oversized one, and rolling a suitcase of moderate size along with her, causing her almost-skipping gait to also kind of lean to one side, which looks a bit funny.
