"Yeah I know it won't last. Things without a soul, but lacking a self stable body just can't stay togther. Not on its own. But with healing magic It could be made to keep. Do you have any diamonds or elemental carbon?" "Oh, hey Tim. Nothing unholy, Just a tiny monster. Totaly harmless, but it won't live for long without some other experiments to back it up, and experiments require things to test. If you could make a copy or two that would be great."
-
"Yep, A good dose of radiation and I would mutate, In this case, giving my blood a strong enough dose I was able to transform it into a monster. Like I said before, I would rather like to avoid growing eyes on my back. There is a reason divine substances and mutagenic reactors are controlled" As he says this, he begins to move two fingers around like a conductor and the beast responds in kind, as much as its useless little body could. Tentacles moveing and waveing as Leo directed it. "Don't worry about your tools, unless its developed somehting like acid, as long as you don't use plastic it SHOULD be fine. We should do some test with it and see how it reacts to things. Maybe use Symbiosis mana to try and integrate it with a plant or some other spare samples. Or maybe I could add Cores into it to keep it alive and give it some uses. If those tentacles could be freed up, and used in some way, that would be great" "Its also possible you could derive some phonems from it, and use those in Spellwork. Ethier way you won't be able to do much testing if you only have one. You should ask Tim to imprint it" Leo nods, clearly considering various options. His mind running off with various test and ideas to try and imploy

"All thats already been cleared up though. Besides, aren't you curious whats in here? The least you could do is have a Little faith." His tone takes on some mesure of excitement "It could be some old legend, or a study on ancient techniques, or a draft of a report on some magical experiment, or- " And snow tries to lower his expectations "Or something borring, like a manifest of some dude's ship" "I mean, yeah I guess, but we won't know until we read it"
-
"Pretty much." Well at least he is honest about it. Snow internally sighs, rapidly loseing hope this would go well. She strongly doubted these two would ever be able to properly get along. They had gotten of on like five wrong foots, and Leo was not the best at dealing with pepole. Not the worst....But not the best. If this went south, she was probbly going to have to step in.

Leo's medical exam Some time after speaking with frigus, Leo found himself looking around carrying some bound papers in his hands. Having found them in the office bookshelf. Maybe someone on the bus could translate them, since he couldent understand it. The papers, to anyone who knows Japanese, clearly have the kanji for "Gilgamesh" on the cover. Eventualy, during his searching, He runs into harry again who points him in Kusuke's direction. Who he promptly sets off to find

"Ohhhh whats it supposed to be? A power core?" Walking over, he starts to look it over "Let me see here...." Assuming Frigus allows it, he holds one hand out over it and mana test it, before he starts going through his analyze spell, words pouring out and mana seeping into the core. He nods after a bit as the glow fades from the core "Yeah I see the problem, Its just to much energy for its size. The simplest solution is a larger core. Though it might still have some uses. These are some really interesting matrials though, got any more?" -

"Right. Whenever this friend of yours arrives, mind sending her in my direction so I can ask her some questions?" Leo rolls his shoulders, poping them a little, and moves away from the controls, as they dident need his immediate attention anymore, though he was far from sure where they were really going at this point. "Horrific curses aside, where were you and the others? I haven't heard anything about the missions everyone else went to yet. I spent most of the past few days doing prepwork for a siege, and eventualy fighting. Picked up some great matrials though, and learned how to make a few things that might be really useful. Magic metals, special crystals, the works. Really good things for my craft actualy. Im going to have a blast once I get to sit down and work Im sure." -

"Picked it up from a world hopping merchant. It stood out to me for its magical properties." He nearly demonstrates right then and there, but before the faintest shimmer of magic in the air makes contact with it, he remembers the whole 'Absorbs magic' bit and thinks better of it. "Stoneheart was actualy made with magic attuned to the gem, which causes some intresting effects. It seems to have a tie of some sort to wishes and desires, I haven't done to much testing, Ive been busy, but when createing a golem with mana attuned to the gem, the core gains the ability to feel emotion and more easily be controlled by will. The catch is cores made in this manner are quite vulnerable to the influence of the corrupted soul. Nothing that can't be countered of course. I Actualy got some really good data out of stoneheart when the monster got out. He even got some new functions loaded into his system which helped us....." He speaks a bit softer for a moment, looking down at the gem thoughtfully "I wonder if that could be a result of its will struggling against the curse, and desiring to be saved? Flooding Stoneheart with its will, conveniently giving us the function needed to breach into the pocket dimension it created and fight it...could that be an instinctual bid to save itself? Leo considers it for a moment, before shrugging and putting it back into his pocket "I dont think she knew what she had, It had sounded just like some kind of monster drop, though one that gave off an...intresting feeling. But when Leo tried to scan it we started getting hints of its nature" Leo nods "Im definitely going to ask her for the coordinates to the world she found it in whenever we run into each other again. As for breaking the gem, that sounds like a bad idea. As long as its bound, we have a higher chance of getting multiple tries, where as if we break it and fail once the soul could escape at which point we don't even know if it will fly off to cause more havoc, or dissolve and reincarnate. That being said, the gem may play some part in the curse, Ill need to study it more, but there may be a possibility moving the soul to something else might help." "Im not so sure a simple sun would be able to contain it though, and I don't know much more about trapping souls then that. Just having it sitting around in a sun and spilling magic everywhere sounds like it could be a problem." -

Leo nods "In that case...." He reaches into his pockets and pulls out the Grief Seed, holding it up between two fingers "What can you tell me about this? It contains a soul bound under a powerful corruptive curse. I only acquired it a few days ago, but Ive seen what it is and what it can do. I want to break it's curse and purify it. In its current state, the curse is to powerful for the soul to purge itself, but if that curse can be broken it might even be able to save itself on its own." "The main catch, is the way the curse seems to work. It causes the soul to suffer to the point it lashes out as a monster, and causes more suffering, which seems to only make things worse. And using magic on the container only seems to feed it. It actualy lashed out earlier just today, shunting itself into a pocket dimension we had to go into to defeat it." -

"Neat. Though what sorts of corruption do you usualy deal with? Do you have any kind of purification or curse breaking magic?" Perhaps he was being a little obvious, but its not like he was going out of his way to hide his plans....Then again, It could be bad if he got triggered like Satomi did when they had made that sword, which he couldn't rule out if his group were primarily formed around fighting things like that. "Out of curiosity are you like a paladin or something, or just more part of a human agency of warriors?" Huh, he didn't think of that. He dident really worship any deities and didn't interact with divinities much in general, but a paladin or cleric might be able to help. Though the idea of studying the seed to figure it out was still favorable to him, he wouldn't want to prolong the soul's suffering by going for a lesser option if a better one presented itself. -

"I make them. Golems are my specialty. I can make troops, workers, and all sorts of equipment and weapons. Still need to do some work with Stoneheart though, for multiple reasons." He really needed to look deeper into Stonehearts code. But more then that, he needed as much information on the magic in the seed as possible. Getting more complete code would be massively helpful, but to do that, he would need to expose a wish core to the energy of the corrupt soul....Maybe if he used the magic absorbing flowers he could funnel magic from the seed to a contained core? One thing was sure, he couldn't just brute force such a powerful curse. He needed more information. Maybe Frigus would know something? He said hes been doing this for a while. He looks Frigus over for a moment "What exactly do you do? I'm assuming if you've been doing the whole multiverse travel thing for a while you've got some pretty cool tricks" -

Leo turns to look at the new person. Presumably someone from the first group? "Ah. Hello. Im Leo. This is Snow-" He gestures to the aforementioned sword at his waist, who's "Eye" has turned towards Frigus, and which promptly speaks in a female voice. "I can introduce myself" Ignoring her he continues on. "And the floating sword over in the corner is Stoneheart" He gestures over to a corner of the room, where a floating sword made of glowing stone and iron, and surrounded by more of the same is. Along with a less lively looking assortment of statue/robot things. The sword drifts over to Frigus and its hilt twist off its blade, acting like a head that proceeds to look him over. "Curiosity. New person." By contrast its voice is more robotic, but it carries a vaguely interested inflection. Leo watches the balloon drift and fade away. Maybe he should make a drone that could do that. Might be useful. "So who are you looking for?" -
This was crazy. All of this was outright crazy. Though....The idea of having free reign to loot the place was appealing. Maybe when she managed to ditch these clowns she could sell some of the stuff they had laying around.... Then again...Missions across the multiverse? She could get all sorts of good loot from other places then. And it would be a good way to figure out what kind of powers she had now. If she just ran off now, she would likely be caught. Worst comes to worst, shes surrounded by meatshields. Greed and cold self intrest lead Alice to grin and nod. As she does, something happens. The others dont notice. How could they? But oh boy, this was going to be good. Just thinking of all the things she could do with thi- oh. So she couldent move objects while using this. Still cool. "Ready to go"

Leo Following the departure of the party from the Village, had somehow found himself flying the ship again. Turns out, There were controls on the inside to, and they had some coordinates for worlds where the other party members had apparently gone. This wasn't actualy that hard, though later he would love to see what this thing could really do. -
"Yeah, yah I know what Im doing." As the others talked, Leo headed out to wrap things up. He picked up a supply of the magic absorbing flowers from the Dryad, and went to tell the guide about how to use the golems he was leaving behind. Then he went to the Smith's place and went to the trouble of packing up crates of metals and ores for the road. Loading them up into the Weatherlight. Eventualy, he took a seat on a bed and breathed in a little. "Well. This has been an Intresting few days. But Its looking like Ive got work to do yet" "You always do."

"Heh, looks like Im going to need more power, give me some cover guys!" Punch leaps back a bit, and plants her feet firmly on the ground, spreading her legs slightly. She brings her arms in a rough 'arch' over her head, before brining them back down to her sides at acute angles in an overdramatic fashion. Tossing her head back to the sky and screaming loudly as her bodily energy begins to excite to an elevated state of increased potency. The air around her beginning to distort slightly, as though she were being seen through a heat haze. "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-" Punch uses Charge up

Leo sighs Well. That was over. But now what? Well first things first. Leo walks over and holds his hand at for the seed, Nodding at AZ. "Yeah, this it. It houses the corrupt soul of the monster, and may also play some part in its curse. Ill need to do more study and testing to find a method of breaking said curse." Leo if/when he gets it, looks at the seed, turning it over in his hands. His first instinct is to bring it close to his chest, but he stops himself. That might be a bad move. "Don't you worry, We'll get you out of there." Leo looks back to the party. "Thanks for the help guys. I need to go get some things from the Dryad. After that, I should probbly start packing up. Ive got to go pick up the others, and It might not be such a good idea to keep this thing on world for to long. The magic here is thick, plenty of it to absorb"

Alice opened her eyes Something felt diffrent. Her heartbeats seemed steady. Had it worked? Sitting up, she looked herself over. She looked as she always did, but her body felt diffrent. There was something she couldn't quite place, but there was no longer the subtle feeling and dread of slowly being wasted away. Even her breathing seemed a bit easier. Looking around she was surrounded by quite a few intresting characters. Hmmmm Alice gets up and looks around for papers or information or something.
