there technically isn't- the order of operations here doesn't matter. the difference is that newt has effectively confirmed himself and amber's status is still up to newt's word. newt would be the more certain lynch.

if you flip cult spy, the vigilante can kill amber before his role kicks in. and it seems like you're effectively outright claiming cult spy. it's also probably a good idea to keep the cults balanced- that way they still have to fight each other. overall, that's a much better idea for the town since all the cult resources could still be wasted on members of the opposite cult.

i'm saying that's probably what this is. if he flips spy, though, then it's still possible he's not lying since the cults are fighting each other.

it's probably also worth noting that newt being cult spy doesn't mean amber isn't a cult leader. if either flips cult the other is likely the opposite cult.

A method through which I can reasonably prove I've been culted. Unfortunately, this isn't like DK Maf where I also get two votes and you could just count the totals at the end of the day. If nothing else, the cop can also investigate me if I seem to be acting different.

Yeah, I can be culted. It's why I announced the visits I had last night. I can't avoid being culted, but I can make it a bad idea. (or, rather, the visits i was told about.)
